Charlie Kirk Challenges Christians to Combat Marxism and Confront Evil in America and Abroad

Charlie Kirk delivers a powerful message at a Miami church, calling Christians to action against Marxism, evil, and complacency. Speaking at Harvest Church, an evangelical congregation meeting in a synagogue, Kirk addresses the church's role in society, the attack on Israel, the infiltration of pagan ideologies, and why the American church must awaken to defend biblical truth. From the darkness of socialism in Cuba to the trans agenda in suburban America, Kirk makes the case that spiritual warfare demands immediate engagement, not end-times passivity.

A Call to the Church in Difficult Times

Charlie Kirk addressed a packed church service at Harvest Church in Miami, an evangelical congregation meeting in a synagogue, just days after the horrific Hamas attack on Israel. Speaking on short notice, Kirk emphasized the fitting nature of gathering in a synagogue during such a tragic time. The founder of Turning Point USA shared his passion for truth, liberty, and his deep hatred of evil, setting the stage for a conversation about the church's role in confronting darkness in America and around the world.

Kirk began by acknowledging his unexpected journey into engaging with churches. While he built his career organizing on high school and college campuses, the COVID-19 pandemic opened his eyes to the church's troubling silence and compliance with government mandates. He expressed shock at seeing churches lock down instead of seizing an opportunity for revival during a time when suicides, alcoholism, and isolation were skyrocketing. Kirk criticized the church for becoming an extension of tyrannical secular government rather than serving as the light of the world.

The Consequences of Forgetting God

Drawing on the writings of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Kirk summarized the tragedy of the Soviet Union—where 60 million people were killed—with one simple explanation: people forgot God. He challenged the common narrative that religious fundamentalism is the greatest threat to society, pointing out that extreme secularism and godlessness have killed far more people throughout history than religious extremism. The Western world, Kirk argued, was built by Christians on Judeo-Christian values, and that foundation is now collapsing from within.

Kirk explained that when belief in a higher power is lost, it gets replaced with false pagan religions—LGBT ideology, Black Lives Matter, and the cult of figures like Anthony Fauci. He emphasized that both Jews and Christians share a belief in ethical monotheism and a rejection of paganism, but modern society is increasingly embracing pagan worldviews that promote chaos and disorder.

End Times Theology and Christian Responsibility

Addressing a common concern among Christians, Kirk pushed back against the interpretation that things must get worse before Christ returns, and therefore believers should remain passive. He argued that this perspective represents a terrible interpretation of scripture and pointed out that throughout history—including during the Dark Ages when the gospel was hidden—Christ did not return. The assumption that negligence and complacency will provoke Christ's return is a dangerous fallacy that keeps Christians enchanted by fear rather than motivated by action.

Kirk acknowledged that we may be living through birth pains before the tribulation, but emphasized the need for humility about end times predictions. Throughout history, people have believed they were living in the end times—in the years 1000, 1400, 1630, 1850, 2000, and 2011—yet here we remain. Whether Christ returns next week or in a thousand years, Kirk stressed that God tests our obedience in the face of evil. He challenged pastors who tell their congregations not to have children because the end is near, calling such teaching evil and a misuse of the pulpit.

The Evil Witnessed in Israel

Kirk spoke passionately about the Hamas attack on Israel, describing it as the worst terror attack on Jews since the Holocaust. He emphasized that this was not a military operation against military targets, but rather a bloodthirsty assault on civilians. For five to six hours, Hamas terrorists went door by door through kibbutzim, finding Jews, taking them from their homes, and kidnapping women. Over 100 hostages were still being held at the time of his talk.

What disturbed Kirk most was how these terrorists returned to Gaza and were welcomed as heroes, despite having engaged in unspeakable brutality against unarmed civilians—including the dismemberment of 18-month-old babies. He stressed that evil exists in the world with a demonic bloodthirst that cannot be rationalized or reasoned with. Kirk warned that those celebrating such evil must be eliminated from the face of the Earth, and that there is no middle ground when confronting such darkness.

The Pagan Ideologies Infiltrating Society

Kirk identified several false religions now dominating society that Christians must recognize and resist. The first is the religion of tolerance, where many Christians bow at the altar of tolerance over worshiping Jesus. They believe they must be tolerant of evil and nice at all costs, even though "nice" is never found in the Bible. This cult of tolerance tells people to do nothing while children are chemically castrated and medically mutilated, and while the southern border remains wide open.

The second pagan ideology is earth worship. Kirk explained that Genesis clearly denounces worship of the earth, sun, stars, and rivers—all of which ancient civilizations like Egypt engaged in. The environmentalist movement in America, he argued, represents nothing more than pagan earth worship, with adherents believing humans are contaminating nature and advocating for depopulation.

The third destructive ideology is the blurring of distinctions. Kirk explained that the entire Old Testament, especially Genesis, can be distilled into God creating distinctions and order—between light and darkness, good and evil, man and woman, man and nature, holy and profane. The modern Marxist left, along with weak Christians, are attempting to abolish all these God-ordained separations. The transgender movement represents the ultimate attempt to obliterate the distinctions and order that God naturally set up for civilization.

Local Action and Christian Engagement

The pastor of Harvest Church shared a powerful example of local Christian engagement. At the beginning of the year, after teaching a biblical citizenship class, an elderly couple in their 70s took action in their village. They knocked on 60 doors, held a block party, selected three candidates, and successfully unseated local officials who should not have been in power. The story made Fox News in Miami Shores.

This example illustrated Kirk's point that too many Christians are busy with church activities, tennis, and watching sports on TV while a few players with no interest in those things are occupying places of influence. The battle is not lost, Kirk emphasized, but it requires Christians to open their eyes to what's happening in local government and take action.

Understanding the Nature of Evil

Kirk dove deep into the biblical understanding of human nature to explain why socialism and Marxism are fundamentally evil. He pointed to the first murder in the Bible—Cain killing Abel—as an act of socialism. Two sacrifices were offered, God accepted one and not the other, and resentment led to murder. Throughout scripture, envy and the desire for what others have drives people to very evil and dark places.

If you believe human beings are naturally good, Kirk explained, then you believe you can create heaven on Earth—which is the promise of socialism. He drew parallels between the blame-shifting mentality of socialist regimes (blaming blockades, apartheid states, or the West) and movements like Black Lives Matter and Hamas. All of them refuse to take responsibility for their own actions, instead blaming external structures and systems for their problems.

Kirk connected this to what happens on college campuses, where students who haven't showered in weeks blame America for all the world's problems. The real issue, he argued, is personal responsibility. Marxism preys on people who don't want to admit that the biggest problem in the world is themselves, instead weaponizing them with backwards ideology.

Why Fight in America

Addressing the many in the Miami audience who fled socialism in Latin America, Kirk explained why the fight in America matters. God does not want humanity to live in authoritarianism—He delivered the Jews from slavery in Egypt. Jesus said in John 10:10 that the enemy comes to lie, steal, cheat, and destroy, but He came to give life and life more abundantly. That verse, Kirk said, summarizes good versus evil better than anything else.

In Cuba and other Marxist countries, people are not living with life or life more abundantly—it is oppressive and spiritually heavy. The same feeling now permeates cities like Portland, New York, Boston, Seattle, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Chicago, where citizens feel hopeless. In these places, people often turn to the occult, tarot cards, or Eastern mysticism because they need some way to make sense of the darkness.

Kirk emphasized that nothing has come close to liberating people to live a decent life like the Bible has. Christians don't talk enough about the fruit of the Bible and the goodness it has given the world. The Christian inheritance we enjoy is exceptional—without a biblical worldview, civilization descends into barbarism, as evidenced by Hamas.

The Great Reset and One World Government

Addressing concerns about the "Great Reset," Kirk explained that powerful forces have an agenda to change the globe by 2030, where people will "own nothing and be happy," plugged into machines as transhumanist robots. They are destroying the US dollar and keeping borders wide open as part of this plan.

Kirk pointed to Genesis 11—the Tower of Babel—as the biblical precedent for what's happening today. Nimrod wanted to build a city for his own name, not God's name, representing the first attempt at a one-world government. God saw this pride and scattered the people, creating the nations. The very idea of borders and sovereign nations is biblical, Kirk explained, which is why increasingly godless global institutions want to eliminate sovereignty.

Organizations like the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, and the European Union all work toward eroding national sovereignty. Two things stand in the way: Israel and America. That's why both nations face such intense attacks. America should not exist in the eyes of these globalists—it's too strong, too free, too unified, and too willing to fight evil.

The Ideology Behind the Madness

Kirk shared disturbing examples of how deeply ideological possession has infected society. He recounted the story of a young couple in Brooklyn where the boyfriend's throat was slit by an attacker. The girlfriend refused to tell police the race of the murderer because she didn't want to perpetuate racism—even though her boyfriend had just been killed in front of her.

Another example involved a young German woman who was gang-raped by six Arab refugees. When police asked her to describe the attackers, she said six white Germans raped her because she didn't want to contribute to anti-immigrant hatred. Only after weeks of a failed manhunt did she admit the truth—she was protecting her rapists for ideology.

These examples, Kirk argued, demonstrate that we're not dealing with rationality but with spiritual warfare straight from the pit of hell. These cult-like ideologies are laundered and repurposed by the college industry. There's no reasoning with people who will protect those who've harmed them in the name of ideology—they must be defeated.

Marxism Has Arrived in America

Kirk made a sobering declaration: for his entire career he warned that Marxism was near, but in recent weeks he now says it has arrived and captured the country. The evidence is clear—crime is rising in every major city while Donald Trump faces 700 years in federal prison. January 6 defendants are no different than political prisoners in Havana during Castro's revolution.

When Trump's assets might be taken from him in New York, that's exactly what Castro, Maduro, or Chavez would do—call a billionaire former president a fascist and confiscate his hotels. Americans who fled socialism in Latin America recognize these tactics immediately. The time for complacency has ended.

Questions on Islam, Capital Punishment, and Israel

During the question and answer session, Kirk addressed several important topics. When asked about avoiding negative stereotypes of Muslims, he responded that he hasn't seen adequate outrage from peaceful Muslims about the Hamas attack. The so-called peaceful people of Gaza treated returning terrorists like heroes, and celebrations occurred in Turkey, Qatar, and other Muslim nations. Until there's institutional reform, Kirk said he'd believe in peaceful Islam when he sees it.

On capital punishment, Kirk affirmed his moral support for it based on Genesis 9:6, though he expressed concern about wrongful executions due to America's litigious system. For certain heinous crimes with clear DNA evidence and admission of guilt, he believes in quick, public execution as a deterrent—a position he adopted after studying the Old Testament more closely.

Regarding what America should do for Israel, Kirk's answer was simple: let Israel defend itself. America should stand up for Israel at the UN and provide media cover, but Israel has the military capability to handle this. He expressed skepticism of the national security apparatus in Washington and opposed dragging America into another no-win war in the Middle East.

The Church's Stand on Transgender Ideology

When asked how churches can address transgender issues, Kirk pulled out his Bible and referenced Deuteronomy, which states that if a man dresses as a woman, it is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. God wants the separation and doesn't want men masquerading as women. Kirk refuses to acknowledge someone's mental delusion, comparing it to a schizophrenic stalker who believes he's married to someone—why is his delusion wrong but a man who thinks he's a woman is validated?

Reality must triumph over mental delusion. God created man and woman, period, and established order and separation for a reason. The church must be clear on this issue. Kirk strongly criticized Andy Stanley for hosting openly homosexual men at his church conference, using LGBTQ+ language, and suggesting the church needs to compromise or lose attendance. Kirk's response: he'd rather lose attendance while speaking truth than gain numbers through compromise.

Occupy Until He Comes

Kirk closed by reinforcing the biblical command to occupy until Christ comes. Whether the Lord returns tomorrow or in a thousand years, Christians are called to take as much terrain as possible and occupy it until His return. If Christ is coming back on His throne, then hallelujah—but if it's a long time from now, we must work to make this world better.

Psalm 97:10 commands that if you love God, you must hate evil. Romans 12 says to hate evil and retain what is good. The church cannot remain silent or passive while darkness spreads. The time for action is now, in local governments, school boards, culture, media, and every sphere of influence. The battle is spiritual, but it requires tangible engagement in the physical world God has placed us in.
