Charlie Kirk is the Founder and President of Turning Point USA, the largest and fastest growing conservative youth activist organization in the country with over 250,000 student members, over 150 full-time staff, and a presence on over 2,000 high school and college campuses nationwide. Charlie is also the Chairman of Students for Trump, which aims to activate one million new college voters on campuses in battleground states in the lead up to the 2020 presidential election. His social media reaches over 100 million people per month and according to Axios, he is one of the "top 10 most engaged" Twitter handles in the world. He is also the host of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” which regularly ranks among the top news shows on Apple podcast charts.
Charlie Kirk Witnesses Trump White House Operating at Unprecedented Pace After 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Visit
Charlie Kirk shares his firsthand observations from visiting the Trump White House, describing an administration operating at breakneck speed with unprecedented coordination. From Saudi Arabia's $600 billion investment announcement to the complete shutdown of DEI offices and deployment of 1,500 troops to the southern border, Kirk explains how Trump's battle-tested team of Young Guns—including Stephen Miller, Sergio Gor, and Dan Scavino—are executing a methodical strategy they spent four years planning. This isn't the chaos of the first administration; it's a unified mission from staffers who stood by Trump through indictments, raids, and attempts on his life, now operating with precision and virtually no leaks.
Charlie Kirk recently visited the White House and witnessed firsthand the extraordinary pace at which the Trump administration is operating. The staff is working at a velocity that breaks from traditional presidential operations, which typically start slowly with ceremonial executive orders and cabinet confirmations. Instead, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has become what Kirk describes as the fulcrum of liberty on the planet—the center of a free society.
President Donald Trump is signing executive order after executive order, and the media simply cannot keep up. With 1,458 days remaining in Trump's presidency, only two and a half days were fully in the books when Kirk made these observations, yet the administration has already overwhelmed the system with its Blitzkrieg approach.
Major Executive Actions in 48 Hours
The executive orders coming out of the White House are arriving at such velocity that even professionals who cover politics for a living are struggling to keep pace. Kirk recounts having to slow down and read the actual text of each order to fully understand what's happening.
As of 5:00 p.m. on the day Kirk visited, the administration had shut down all DEI offices in the government and placed all existing DEI employees on indefinite leave—not to be reallocated to other positions, but as a precursor to likely termination. President Trump announced a new deployment of 1,500 active duty troops to assist in securing the US-Mexico border, with reports suggesting this could expand to 10,000 or even 20,000 troops.
Perhaps most remarkably, President Trump had a phone call with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in Saudi Arabia announcing a $600 billion investment into the United States. Kirk emphasizes that Trump secured this massive investment with a phone call—no tax cut legislation, no lengthy deregulatory agenda required. In just 48 hours, President Trump secured over $1 trillion in new investment coming into the United States, meaning more jobs, higher incomes, less inflation, more prosperity, and more growth.
Border Security and Deportation Actions
President Trump ordered the border patrol to begin immediately deporting anybody caught crossing into America illegally without a hearing, ending what Kirk calls the insane and anti-American Biden policy of catching illegal border crossers only to release them into America with court dates months or years in the future.
The numbers tell a striking story. During the last two days of Joe Biden's administration, 12,000 people crossed the southern border. During the first two days of Donald Trump's administration, before all policies were fully in place, only 750 people crossed. Kirk predicts this number will drop even further, potentially into the teens and eventually to zero, creating some of the record lowest border crossings in modern American history.
With more troops, more deportations, the elimination of the CBP One border app, and the Lake and Riley bill soon to become law, Trump has executed what Kirk describes as a shock and awe deportation campaign.
The Young Guns Strategy
Kirk emphasizes that people who think the first Trump administration was chaotic are misunderstanding what's happening now. This is a different team—the Young Guns like Stephen Miller, Sergio Gor, James Blair, and Dan Scavino. These are the people from the prior administration who didn't always get a chance to flex their muscles, who saw things they wished had gone differently, and who then watched President Trump displaced from power in the 2020 election.
They had four years to think about it, to plan for this moment. Russ Vought had four years to methodically plan what he would do. And Kirk notes that things are operating well now with just executive actions, but wait until Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Russ Vought at Office of Management and Budget, Bobby Kennedy, and Tulsi Gabbard are fully in their positions and actually implementing things.
Battle-Tested and Unified
Kirk makes an argument he believes the media hasn't fully grasped: it wasn't just Donald Trump who feels emboldened because of all the indictments against him. Trump's team concurrently experienced all those feelings alongside him, and his team is equally as empowered and focused with precision to execute the agenda.
They were there when President Trump got the phone call in Bedminster, New Jersey saying he was indicted. They were there in the New York City courthouse when he got convicted. They were there at Mar-a-Lago when his home got raided, along with staffers like Walt Nauta who they tried to turn against the president and failed, or Natalie Harp or Susie Wiles.
They are in complete harmony with this strategy because, as Kirk explains, deep down they said: "No, you put us all through hell. You tried to put us all in jail. You tried to make us all your subjects and your servants. So no, there will be no compromise. There will be no metaphorical quarter. We're not going to put up with it."
The Trump team is unified with the same cadence, and they're battle-tested. Kirk personally attests that they're phenomenal people with no Team of Rivals dynamic, no knifing or strife. Their mindset is clear: they tried to take us all out, they tried to put us all in federal prison, they tried to kill our guy, they tried to kill the boss, and now we are here to fulfill that mandate.
No Leaks and Total Control
Kirk points out something significant that's not happening: almost no leaks. Reporters who are used to the Trump operation leaking are now learning about developments on social media instead of getting inside information. While there might be a leak here or there, the media's ability to get one step ahead or ascertain what direction things are coming from has been neutralized. Their heads are spinning, as they should be.
This is well orchestrated and organized, and it's just the start. This is the new normal. This pace is not going to slow down until every single one of the problems identified is solved. Kirk describes this as a spiritual mission to restore the Republic, and there is a lot to restore.
Full Court Press Across America
Kirk cites an example from Turning Point USA's chapter at the University of Washington, which had an event canceled because the university did not support their right to free speech. He suggests that perhaps the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division run by Leo Terrell needs to open an investigation into the University of Washington, or perhaps the Department of Education needs to withhold their funding.
This is going to be a full court press in every major corner of the country—Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Phoenix. They're not going to put up with violations of rights because, as Kirk says, they did everything they could to try to take all of us out, and we remember that on a daily basis.
No Neutral Gear in DC
Kirk concludes with a stark assessment of how power works in Washington: neutral gear is not an option. Either you get run over or you're setting the pace. DC is a binary town—either you're in power or you are not. There is no middle ground, no neutral ground. You have to keep the foot on the gas, full speed ahead.
