The speech also acknowledged the 24th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, lamenting that society appears to be forgetting that tragic day. Doug LaMalfa called on Americans to remember the more than 3,000 people who died in the attacks, expressing concern that the nation is allowing the memory of 9/11 to fade.
