This policy explains what information this site collects, why, and how it's handled. It applies to this website only, not to YouTube, Amazon, Google, or any other third-party site we link to or embed content from.

Information We Collect

• IP address: logged on every page visit for site security purposes (detecting and blocking abusive traffic).
• Comments: if you post a comment on a video, we store the comment content, an optional name and email address you provide, and your IP address. Comments are moderated before appearing publicly unless an administrator has enabled auto-approval.
• Video suggestions: if you submit a video for consideration via our submission form, we store the details you provide about the video.
• Channel-owner portal: if you sign in as a channel owner via Google, we receive your Google account's basic profile information and the YouTube channel(s) associated with that account, in order to verify channel ownership and let you manage your own videos and support tickets. We do not receive your Google password.
• Contact and advertising enquiries: if you contact us or enquire about advertising, we collect the name, email, and message content you provide, solely to respond to you.
• Advertiser accounts: if you create an advertiser account, we store your company name, contact name, email address, and password (hashed, never in plain text), in order to verify your account, let you sign in, and manage your ad campaigns and credit balance.
• Usage analytics: anonymized-where-possible click/view counts on videos, books, ads, and shop products, used to understand what content is popular. Where this includes an IP address, it's used only in aggregate, not to identify you individually.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in if you use the channel-owner portal or the advertiser portal. We also store a small number of on-device preferences (such as whether autoplay is enabled) in your browser's local storage — this stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics to understand overall site traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics operates under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. Video content is embedded via YouTube's player, and book links go to Amazon — both are subject to their own respective privacy policies once you interact with them directly.

Why We Collect This Information

We use this information to: operate and secure the site, moderate user-submitted content, respond to enquiries, verify channel ownership for the channel-owner portal, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep this information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above — there is currently no fixed automatic deletion schedule. If you'd like your data reviewed, updated, or deleted sooner, contact us using the details below and we'll action it manually.

Your Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by submitting our contact form. We'll respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to our admin systems and not storing payment details on this site (Amazon purchases are handled entirely by Amazon).
