Dr. Ben Carson Honors Charlie Kirk's Legacy at Memorial Service in Glendale Arizona
Dr. Ben Carson delivers powerful remarks at Charlie Kirk's memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, where thousands gathered to honor his legacy. Carson addresses the loss of his friend and partner, defends Charlie's intellect against political criticism, and speaks to the principles that made America exceptional. He discusses the cultural battle for the nation's soul, challenges ministers to preach biblical truth over social gospel, and celebrates the revival emerging from this tragedy. Carson concludes with a prophetic passage from John 12:24, noting Charlie was shot at 12:24 p.m., declaring that much fruit will come from this sacrifice.
Dr. Ben Carson opened his remarks by acknowledging the thousands who gathered for Charlie Kirk's memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, describing it as both a sad and wonderful occasion. Speaking on behalf of the American Cornerstone Institute, Carson expressed the organization's grief over the loss of their friend and partner. He immediately addressed a political figure who had criticized Charlie Kirk for lacking a college degree, defending Charlie's intellect and capability.
"I've seen him run circles around people with college degrees," Carson stated, questioning whether that political figure understood that most of life's learning occurs outside the classroom. He praised the unity he witnessed between young people and older generations, all moving in the same direction with an understanding of America's founding principles.
The Foundation of American Exceptionalism
Carson emphasized that America's rise from nothing to the pinnacle of the world in record time was no accident. He attributed this success to the nation's core beliefs, particularly Judeo-Christian values and the principle that rights come from the Creator, not from government. This foundational understanding, he argued, has been under attack for decades by those seeking to fundamentally transform the country.
He referenced Cleon Skousen's book "The Naked Communist" from the 1950s, which exposed Marxist strategies to gain control of America. Carson outlined specific tactics including gaining control of the public education system and teacher unions to indoctrinate young people. He quoted a radical leftist who said, "Give me your children to teach for four years and the seed that I sow will never be uprooted."
The Cultural Battle for America's Soul
Dr. Carson detailed additional strategies employed by those seeking to change America, including gaining control of media and Hollywood to transform the culture, normalizing sexual perversion, and pushing God out of society. He specifically called out the replacement of biblical gospel with social gospel, challenging ministers who avoid preaching what the Bible says when it contradicts leftist ideology.
"I challenge the ministers out there to talk about what the Bible says and not what the leftists say and get on board of the revival that is coming," Carson declared. He assured the audience that this revival cannot be stopped, pointing to the packed stadium as evidence of its emergence.
A Legacy Continues Through Erika Kirk
Carson expressed enthusiasm about Erika Kirk taking over Turning Point, predicting the organization will grow to significant levels. He reminded the audience of a fundamental American truth: "You cannot be the land of the free if you're not the home of the brave." He urged everyone to stand up for their beliefs.
Much Fruit From Sacrifice
In closing, Dr. Carson read from John 12:24, noting the profound significance that Charlie was shot at 12:24 p.m. The passage reads: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall onto the ground and die, it abideth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
Carson thanked Charlie for his sacrifice, declaring with conviction that much fruit will be realized from this tragedy. The message was clear: out of this loss has emerged a revival, with people giving their lives to Jesus and turning to their communities and families with renewed purpose—exactly what Charlie stood for and what he would want.
