Dr Joel Kahn and Stephen Gardner discuss:

Dr. Joel Kahn - Medical doctor, cardiologist and Professor

Charlie Kirk and Dr. Marty Makary. He’s the new FDA commissioner in the Trump administration and works closely with RFK jr. Listen to this.

CHARLIE KIRK

The FDA commissioner here saying there is no scientific data to support giving a covid shot to kids. To me this seems like a money grab with a high chance of myocarditis. Your Thoughts doctor

RFK jr testified about the lack of testing on vaccines that 99% of americans are unaware of. Let me show this.

Going back to Dr. Marty Makary. He said over his career he’s watched families going financially bust over pharmaceutical costs. He’s so grateful to Trump for standing up to big pharma to lower drug prices. I believe I am alive today because of certain drugs but I also believe medicare, insurance groups and families have been getting ripped off for many years. Your thoughts on president Trump’s new EO to lower drug costs?

I’d be a fool not to ask some heart related questions when I have a cardiologist and medical professor on my show. So heart disease is the #1 killer in America. Is that because we aren’t giving the heart what it needs in the form of exercise and food or why is heart disease the biggest killer in AMerica?

I asked a doctor friend what is the most important supplement I should be taking. He said the one your body is missing most. So I’ve been taking this Vitality Product from one of my show sponsors Brightcore. It has olive leaf and grapeseed and microactive coQ10 and more. Why is a product like this good for heart health?

There is a netflix show called blue zones. Its about communities around the world that live longer than average. From what I can tell moving matters, being social matters and what you eat matters so what kinds of foods and supplement should we be eating to keep our hearts and bodies healthy.

Dr. Marty Makary

[00:00] Well, the last 30 days has been very

[00:03] interesting. We've got President Trump

[00:05] finally doing what Democrats and

[00:07] Republicans have been bragging they

[00:09] would do for decades, which is lower the

[00:12] price of drugs in America. We've got

[00:14] information coming out about COVID,

[00:17] about the vaccines, getting them out of

[00:20] American arms, uh, and so much more. To

[00:23] help me go through all this, I have Dr.

[00:25] Joel Khan. Dr. Khan, thank you so much

[00:27] for joining me. Well, I am pleased to be

[00:30] here. We got a lot to talk about. Oh,

[00:32] yeah. Well, I appreciate you coming on

[00:33] again. Our last show was uh wellreceived

[00:36] and I know your time is is valuable. I

[00:39] want to jump into a clip together. Uh

[00:41] this is Charlie Kirk and Dr. Marty

[00:44] McCary. He's the new FDA commissioner in

[00:48] the Trump administration. He works

[00:49] closely with RFK Jr. Let me pull up this

[00:52] clip and then we'll uh I want to ask you

[00:54] some questions about it. Dr. McCary,

[00:56] what a change it is versus what happened

[00:58] under Joe Biden. So, a question uh

[01:01] doctor that I'm getting from a lot of

[01:02] people and I know that you're getting it

[01:04] as well and feel free to answer it

[01:06] however you uh feel appropriate is

[01:09] whether the COVID shot will remain on

[01:12] the child vaccination schedule and I

[01:14] know that this is hotly debated. We

[01:17] believe on this program it should not be

[01:18] on the child vaccination schedule. Are

[01:20] you guys thinking about this? Your

[01:23] thoughts, Commissioner? Look, I'd love

[01:25] to see the evidence to show that uh

[01:27] giving young healthy children another

[01:31] COVID shot, you know, A6, the COVID

[01:33] booster, would help them, but that

[01:35] evidence does not exist. And so, we're

[01:37] not just going to rubber stamp things at

[01:39] the FDA. And I don't think you're going

[01:41] to see a push at the CDC to be pushing

[01:45] uh COVID shots in young, healthy

[01:47] children. That is something that's being

[01:49] discussed right now. Uh, I think you're

[01:52] going to see some announcement on that

[01:53] in the coming weeks, but I know they are

[01:56] trying to review all of the scientific

[01:58] data. And guess what? There's no data.

[02:00] There's no good randomized control data

[02:03] that the current version, the latest

[02:05] formulation of the COVID shot is

[02:08] necessary for young healthy children.

[02:10] Other countries have already recommended

[02:12] against it. Other uh leading countries

[02:15] in Europe have recommended against it

[02:17] for young healthy children. So I think

[02:19] you're going to see um a look at this

[02:21] and you're going to hear something

[02:22] forthcoming. Well, I'm thrilled to hear

[02:24] that. And as you know the the

[02:26] significance also is once you are on the

[02:28] childhood vaccination schedule with it

[02:30] becomes other immunity protections. So

[02:32] there's other kind of very sinister

[02:34] elements associated the liability

[02:36] protections. Okay. So uh other countries

[02:40] are recommending do not get this. Now we

[02:44] have uh new blood, new minds at the FDA,

[02:48] the CDC, HHS, they're saying we we can't

[02:52] find any good data for this. Uh your

[02:55] your thoughts on this, especially with

[02:57] myocarditis uh in the heart becoming

[03:00] such an issue. Your your thoughts, Dr.

[03:02] Con? Yeah, and uh I thank the Lord above

[03:05] every day for this fresh blood. I've had

[03:08] the pleasure to work with Dr. McCary on

[03:10] several TV shows in the past. always was

[03:13] impressive and he's coming out punching

[03:15] with, you know, science data, not

[03:17] emotion. Uh yeah, there has been no data

[03:20] that, you know, infants, children, and

[03:23] I'll add pregnant mothers can safely

[03:26] receive the mRNA COVID uh injection. Um

[03:30] it was pushed, it was shoved, it

[03:32] violated every science and ethical

[03:35] precept about, you know, uh first do no

[03:38] harm. uh we were injecting children to

[03:41] protect their grandparents. Well, we've

[03:43] never sacrificed children for the

[03:46] elderly. It's usually the elderly are

[03:48] protecting the children, but here we had

[03:49] everything flipped upside down. So,

[03:52] since Dr. McCary made those comments on

[03:54] the Charlie Kirk show, uh it's been

[03:56] reported in the Wall Street Journal that

[03:58] there will be removal of mandatory COVID

[04:01] vaccination from childhood and pregnant

[04:04] mother schedules. We'll wait to hear

[04:07] that officially from HHS, but um be a

[04:11] huge advance. And there is that dark

[04:13] side Charlie talked about that if you

[04:16] get your vaccine on a childhood

[04:18] schedule, you already have quite heavy

[04:21] protection from legal issues, even if

[04:23] you harm people, but you get further

[04:25] protection. So, uh, it'll put some of

[04:28] the pharmaceutical industries back in

[04:30] the game of having to, you know, explain

[04:33] their actions, explain their research,

[04:35] explain outcomes. A lot of parents are

[04:38] just ticked off at pharmaceutical

[04:40] industries and they've had little

[04:42] recourse other than the official

[04:44] governmental vaccine court. Yeah. which

[04:47] uh you know my father-in-law did a

[04:49] documentary on that and it is like worse

[04:53] than pulling teeth to try to get any

[04:55] kind of money, compensation, admission

[04:57] of guilt. Uh so it it's a it's a broken

[05:00] system and honestly like I'm not I'm not

[05:04] against big pharma. I I believe that I'm

[05:06] alive because of some of these modern

[05:09] miracle uh medicines that have been

[05:11] created. But when you have the the

[05:14] protection of immunity, it it kind of

[05:17] can make you lazy or not have to go

[05:20] through some of the same uh hoops. I

[05:22] want to go over uh one more thing. This

[05:24] came out from RFK Jr. He testified uh

[05:27] before Congress uh just the other day

[05:30] about the vaccine schedule and uh let me

[05:34] just go ahead and roll that clip for

[05:36] you. Well, the vaccine recommendations,

[05:38] Senator, are normally made through ASEP,

[05:41] which is the advisory committee of

[05:42] immunization practices, which is an

[05:45] outside consulting committee at the CDC.

[05:48] There's another committee called VERBEC,

[05:50] which is within FDA that actually

[05:52] recommends whether vaccines get licensed

[05:53] or not. And so, that's where the

[05:55] recommendations come from. And you know

[05:57] what? Traditionally, they have not done

[06:00] evidence-based medicine. They only

[06:01] adopted evidence-based medicine about uh

[06:04] 12 years ago. And what we've said during

[06:07] our administration is we want to have

[06:08] safety studies prior to the lensure and

[06:11] recommendation of vaccines. Vaccines are

[06:14] the only medical product that is exempt

[06:15] from pre-licicensing safety testing. So

[06:18] the only vaccine that has been tested in

[06:20] a full-blown placebo trial against an

[06:22] under placebo was the COVID vaccine. The

[06:25] other 76 shots that children in this

[06:29] country receive between birth and 18

[06:31] years old, none of them have been safety

[06:33] tested in pre-licicensing studies

[06:34] against a placebo, which means we don't

[06:36] understand the risk profile for those

[06:39] products. And that's something that I

[06:41] intend to remedy. Okay. So, uh the this

[06:45] last 6 to 12 months has been really eye

[06:47] opening for me. I didn't realize that

[06:50] none of none of the vaccines that we're

[06:52] familiar with underwent the same

[06:55] rigorous safety testing,

[06:59] um, placebo testing, double blind

[07:01] randomized testing. uh and now it's

[07:04] coming out because of the liability

[07:06] shield that uh the the pharmaceutical

[07:11] companies have basically been skipping

[07:13] major steps that thing other things

[07:15] other heart medications

[07:17] uh other cancer treatments you know

[07:19] whatever it is they underwin all of that

[07:22] what are your thoughts on RFK Jr. Dr.

[07:25] McCary uh Dr. Bachari now saying,

[07:28] "Listen, we believe in science. We

[07:30] believe in modern medicine, but we've

[07:33] got to put out safe products or we're

[07:35] we're actually harming our citizens."

[07:36] Your thoughts? Yeah. Well, I think

[07:39] there's so much that the public hasn't

[07:41] been aware of till recently. I'm an

[07:43] adult cardiologist, but you can read. I

[07:46] just literally finished uh Bobby Kenny's

[07:49] book called Vax Versus Unvax. It's

[07:51] absolutely eye openening. I recommend it

[07:54] to anybody. That's one of 10 books I've

[07:56] read in the last six months on the

[07:58] topic. I have grandchildren. I care and

[08:00] let alone uh patients that ask me for

[08:03] advice. You know, the typical example

[08:05] would be a new vaccine is tested against

[08:08] the previous version. The previous

[08:10] version may have had all kind of side

[08:12] effects, but that's the quote unquote

[08:15] placebo arm. That doesn't happen

[08:17] anywhere else in medicine. we're waiting

[08:19] for a whole new generation of heart drug

[08:22] uh blood pressure and cholesterol

[08:24] medication. They have to spend years and

[08:27] years versus a true placebo group um and

[08:30] then report outcomes to the FDA and it

[08:33] costs a lot of money. The vaccine

[08:35] manufacturers for decades have gotten a

[08:37] pass. Some of the childhood vaccines

[08:40] only had five days of follow-up and then

[08:42] the study ended. you'd have no ability

[08:45] to know what happened at 30, 60, 90, 180

[08:48] days. Um, and even the uh trial that uh

[08:53] Robert Kenny Jr. just talked about, the

[08:55] placebocont controlled um COVID vaccine

[08:58] trials when they ended and after only a

[09:01] couple months, there was no placebo

[09:03] group that was followed for 12, 18, 24

[09:06] months to look for long-term problems,

[09:08] which we're seeing now all the time.

[09:10] There are long-term problems. um all the

[09:13] placebo arm got uh inoculated, got

[09:17] vaccinated. So if they had any further

[09:19] problem, it was impossible to tell what

[09:22] it was due to. So very very unusual

[09:26] circumstances. Uh sometimes the perfect

[09:28] placebo is saline, but very often they

[09:31] actually put aluminum in the placebo,

[09:34] which can cause its own side effects. So

[09:37] there won't be that much difference

[09:38] between the placebo and the new

[09:41] investigational drug because there's

[09:43] side effects from the placebo. The

[09:45] difference the delta will be very small.

[09:47] If it were a pure saline placebo, it

[09:50] presumably would be a very tiny uh you

[09:53] know side effect regimen. So it's all

[09:55] messed up and we've got the cleanup

[09:57] crew. Now I just want to follow up. You

[09:59] mentioned myocarditis. Yeah. You know um

[10:02] I'm a cardiologist. That's a cardiology

[10:05] disease. You don't have to be an ID

[10:06] professor to know myocarditis. And over

[10:08] 35 years of my practice and training, we

[10:11] saw myocarditis now and then. The

[10:14] increase in 15, 16, 18 year old produ

[10:18] predominantly men,

[10:20] boys so tragic and kept them out of

[10:23] sports and school and some had permanent

[10:26] injury and some died. And that's this

[10:29] age group that we're just sort of hoping

[10:32] will get the mandatory COVID vaccination

[10:35] off the schedule as the Wall Street

[10:36] Journal reported. Okay. Interesting. Uh

[10:40] I didn't I didn't realize um that the

[10:43] placebo also had aluminum in the saline.

[10:46] That that doesn't seem good. But then

[10:48] also so you you've seen uh just in your

[10:51] own medical practice and with your

[10:53] students an an uptick in the myocarditis

[10:55] affecting the heart. Yeah, that was more

[10:58] in 2122. What I'm seeing more now is 18

[11:02] to 30 year olds extreme fatigue, racing

[11:06] heartbeats, dizziness on standing. Uh

[11:09] they've gone to a psychiatrist, they've

[11:11] gone to the primary care team, they've

[11:13] been kicked out of emergency rooms, and

[11:15] when you take the proper history and do

[11:17] the proper blood work, you can confirm

[11:19] that they've got ongoing immune

[11:22] hyperactivity to the spike protein. And

[11:24] it's challenging, but they're out there.

[11:26] There's a lot of them. Okay.

[11:28] Interesting. Well, I uh I want to talk

[11:30] about that a little bit more because I I

[11:32] went through that myself getting Delta

[11:34] COVID back to back. Suddenly, I was

[11:36] having uh my blood pressure was

[11:39] dropping. I was having panic attacks,

[11:41] racing heart. I'd be trying to go to

[11:43] bed. I'd have 115 beats per minute. I

[11:46] mean, that's what my heart's at when I'm

[11:48] walking faster, jogging. How am I

[11:50] supposed to fall asleep with that? But

[11:52] um pre President Trump does this

[11:56] historic

[11:57] uh executive order to lower the cost of

[12:01] drugs. This is something that Democrats

[12:03] have said for 20 years. Multiple

[12:06] presidents have run on the fact that

[12:08] we'll make your insurance better. We'll

[12:11] make your drug prices uh less costly to

[12:14] you. Now they're fighting him on it

[12:17] because it wasn't their idea and they're

[12:20] going, "Oh crap, what are we going to

[12:22] talk about when we try to run for

[12:24] election if we don't have that anymore?"

[12:26] What are your thoughts on this new

[12:28] executive order? Yeah, it's very very

[12:31] exciting for the American public and

[12:33] again Dr. McCary has been a real leader

[12:36] in this area. There's a wonderful book

[12:38] of a few years ago called The Price We

[12:40] Pay. And this guy was a world famous

[12:43] John's Hopkins surgeon for pancreatic

[12:46] cancer, but he had a finance interest.

[12:48] And he would go and defend families

[12:50] being destroyed by medical bills uh in

[12:53] courts around the country as an expert

[12:56] uh to get clarity and exposure and

[12:59] transparency in hospital and surgical

[13:01] and anesthesia pricing. So, hats off to

[13:04] him. But now we finally have this, you

[13:07] know, moving forward uh to at least drug

[13:10] costs for now. You know, this disparity,

[13:13] as um President Trump said, his friend

[13:16] on the fat shot that could buy the fat

[13:19] shot for like a $100 in England and you

[13:22] know, $1,100 in the United States. So,

[13:25] if we can just I don't want necessarily

[13:27] people in Europe to pay more. It looks

[13:29] like they might. let's offset and you

[13:31] know let's make America first again when

[13:33] it comes to drug costs coming down to

[13:36] something more rational. It's truly name

[13:39] brand drugs truly truly insane. Yeah. Uh

[13:43] the same Dr. McCary uh that you are

[13:46] friends with. He mentioned in an

[13:48] interview last week he said you know one

[13:51] of the hardest parts about being a

[13:52] doctor is I' I've seen families

[13:55] financially ruined because of the cost

[13:57] of some of this stuff. It's not even

[13:59] it's not even the cost of him as the

[14:00] doctor. It's the administration, the

[14:03] hospital, and and then these big pharma.

[14:05] And I on my show, I've been showing

[14:07] people like familyarmacies where if you

[14:09] come in and you say, "I don't have

[14:11] insurance, that drug's like

[14:13] $75." But if you're on Medicare or

[14:15] Medicaid, it's

[14:17] $2,300. And so it'll be really

[14:19] interesting to see what happens with uh

[14:22] insurance, uh Medicare, Medicaid, all

[14:25] these programs that people are saying,

[14:27] "Hey, we need to keep these, but if

[14:29] they're being bankrupted by high costs,

[14:32] I I just I'm I'm I'm very eager to see

[14:34] what's going to happen by lowering these

[14:36] drug prices." Yeah, I agree. The

[14:38] pharmaceutical industry, if I remember,

[14:40] made $1.3 trillion last year, and they

[14:44] control the middle layer. That's called

[14:46] the pharmacy benefit manager. There's

[14:48] all kinds of money going back and forth

[14:50] and it's not benefiting the American

[14:53] public. They're just paying through the

[14:55] nose and uh if they can't pay the

[14:58] taxpayers paying through the Medicare

[15:00] Medicaid system. So uh you know it has

[15:03] to be upended and there'll be a dog

[15:05] fight because we're talking big bucks.

[15:08] Okay. Interesting. Um, you know, one of

[15:11] the ways to offset the the high costs of

[15:14] big pharma and and give your body what

[15:17] it needs I I believe are are

[15:18] supplements. So, uh, as I mentioned

[15:20] earlier, I I started having heart issues

[15:22] for the first time in my life. I'm in my

[15:24] late 30s. Um, I've been I've been to the

[15:28] doctor. They tell me, you know, you got

[15:29] the heart of an ox. It's really great.

[15:31] I've never had issues. Suddenly, I start

[15:33] having issues. So, the last couple years

[15:35] I've been just re rebuilding that with

[15:38] uh you know, some pharmaceuticals and

[15:40] supplements and and moving more,

[15:42] changing my diet. But one of one of the

[15:44] sponsors of of my channel is this group

[15:46] Breitecore. And uh they they have this

[15:49] product um vi vitality and I I put it in

[15:53] a chat GPT and it it's basically telling

[15:56] me like yes these are these are the

[15:58] things that your body your heart

[16:00] specifically needs in order to repair

[16:02] itself function at optimal rates. Um I

[16:05] just I would I would feel stupid having

[16:07] a a cardiologist on here and not ask you

[16:09] some question. Why is heart disease the

[16:12] number one killer in America? Is is it

[16:15] our diet? Is it our uh more sedentary

[16:18] lifestyle? Is it not giving the heart

[16:20] what it needs to fight inflation and and

[16:22] rebuild strong cells? Why is that? Yeah.

[16:26] And it is tragic. Every 34 seconds an

[16:29] American dies a heart disease. Every 40

[16:31] seconds an American has a heart attack

[16:34] worldwide. Every two seconds somebody

[16:37] dies heart disease. And I'll throw a

[16:39] statistic at you. It always blows me

[16:41] away. If you take every soldier who died

[16:43] in combat from 1775 to present, it's

[16:47] about

[16:48] 670,000 soldiers bravely died in combat.

[16:52] 950,000 people will die this year of

[16:54] heart disease. So we in one year we have

[16:57] so much work to do and we have so many

[17:00] treatments but we're missing the

[17:02] beginning the prevention. The prevention

[17:04] and that's where supplements can come in

[17:06] along with exercise, proper diet, quit

[17:08] smoking, good sleep. Um, supplements

[17:11] matter. We have so much uh science. Uh,

[17:14] just throw one out. And I I have

[17:17] Vitality right here because I take it

[17:19] myself. You know, a one-stop shop to

[17:22] support your heart and arteries is a

[17:25] reasonable choice in today's challenging

[17:27] world full of toxins, full of poor

[17:30] quality food. We are prone. When's the

[17:33] last time you heard about a dog have a

[17:34] heart attack? It doesn't exist. Humans

[17:37] are prone to clogging their arteries and

[17:40] there's a reason for it not worth going

[17:41] into here. But uh the uptick in the last

[17:45] 70 years is our poor quality diet and

[17:47] our air quality and our sleep and our

[17:49] stress and our uh lifestyle changes. Uh

[17:52] we don't cook anymore. But we can't fix

[17:55] all that overnight. But we can make our

[17:58] arteries supported. And probably when

[18:00] you had a problem with your two COVID

[18:03] episodes, it's the lining in your

[18:05] artery. fancy word the endothelium

[18:08] 60,000 miles of arteries are lined and

[18:11] we have to support them so you know

[18:13] vitality has something called co-enzyme

[18:16] Q10 we abbreviated CoQ10 go look up 50

[18:20] 60,000 research studies in the last 50

[18:23] years how I can actually just see in my

[18:26] clinic making people better with

[18:29] co-enzyme Q10 and the form of co-enzyme

[18:32] Q10 in vitality is just a highly

[18:34] absorbed form form. That's sometimes a

[18:37] challenge with supplements is getting

[18:39] them absorbed. So, it's micro crystallin

[18:42] CoQ10 at any age. Absolutely. A great

[18:46] thing to add your life that might bring

[18:48] your heart rate down a little, give you

[18:50] a little more energy, support your blood

[18:52] pressure, smoothing out a little bit,

[18:54] you know, it's an experiment you can

[18:56] see. And then vitamin K2, uh, I don't

[18:59] know how many of your listeners like to

[19:01] eat a bean from Japan called the natto

[19:03] bean. Well, that's where vitamin K2 is

[19:05] found. Very few American pallets are

[19:08] used to the natto bean. And vitamin K2

[19:11] is in vitality uh and a special form uh

[19:15] MK7 menacq7. It's the best version. It

[19:19] helps keep calcium and stiffening out of

[19:23] your arteries. Helps them stay flexible.

[19:25] You really want to keep flexible

[19:27] arteries for a whole life. And there's

[19:30] finally there's a grape seed extract in

[19:32] there called mega natural BP. And you

[19:35] know hypertension, high blood pressure

[19:36] is a very serious damager of the heart

[19:39] and arteries. And a natural substance

[19:41] like grape seed extract of all things

[19:44] supports healthy arteries. And then when

[19:46] you put them together and call it

[19:47] vitality, take three simple capsules a

[19:50] day. It's a powerful natural package to

[19:54] support what life's throwing at us.

[19:56] They're throwing darts at our arteries

[19:58] all day long. Erectile dysfunction,

[20:01] blood pressure, heart attacks, fatigue,

[20:03] strange heart rates, palpitations. Uh we

[20:06] need to fight back. Okay. Let let me uh

[20:10] a lot of just based on my YouTube

[20:12] analytics, a lot of the people that

[20:13] watch me are men. Specifically with uh

[20:16] ED, is that uh closing off of the

[20:20] arteries? So there's blood flow issue.

[20:22] Is it the the the hardening of the

[20:24] arteries? Why why does that become so

[20:27] common? Yeah, good question and it's a

[20:29] great, you know, platform that I talk

[20:31] about. A man with erectile dysfunction

[20:33] likely has silent unknown heart artery

[20:36] blockage. The arteries below the waist

[20:39] are starting to get damaged before it's

[20:42] obvious that the arteries above the

[20:43] waist are getting damaged. And that's

[20:46] called endothelial dysfunction, ED,

[20:49] which is also the abbreviation for

[20:51] erectile dysfunction, ED. That's the

[20:53] most common cause. Could be the

[20:55] cigarette, could be the cheeseburger,

[20:57] could be the weight, could be the blood

[20:58] sugar, could be everything combined. But

[21:01] you know, 50% of guys at age 50 have

[21:04] erectile dysfunction. And yeah, that

[21:05] little pill can help you, but you're not

[21:07] correcting the underlying artery

[21:10] problem. Whereas the supplements that

[21:13] consist together in vitality all support

[21:16] that healthy lining. You know, may have

[21:18] to take vitality and give up the

[21:20] cheeseburger to get the best result.

[21:23] It's it's the worst food if you're on a

[21:25] date to have a cheeseburger and fries

[21:27] because it immediately does bad things

[21:29] to your sexual function. So, at least

[21:31] slip three

[21:32] vitalities before you go out, guys, if

[21:35] you're out there in the market looking

[21:37] around. Um, but yeah, that erectile

[21:39] dysfunction is a serious issue. Partly

[21:42] go get your heart checked, too. Yeah,

[21:44] that that's interesting you said. So

[21:46] there there there may be something

[21:48] happening in the upper part of your

[21:49] body, but the the damage or maybe the

[21:52] canary in the coal mine is is the the

[21:54] the lower half. Um I wanted to ask you,

[21:58] I watched this um this I don't know if

[22:01] it's a docu series or what, but it's on

[22:03] Netflix called The Blue Zone, and it

[22:05] just shows people that live on average

[22:08] longer than other human populations,

[22:10] significantly longer than Americans. And

[22:12] I see that there's a part of it is that

[22:14] they move more A part of it is that they

[22:17] are very social and a part of it is the

[22:20] the foods that they eat and giving their

[22:23] body what it needs to have endothelial

[22:26] function, good heart, elastic uh

[22:29] cardiovascular.

[22:31] Um I is part of heart disease that

[22:35] Americans need to move more and they

[22:38] need to feed their body the foods that

[22:40] specifically our body craves. Yeah,

[22:43] absolutely. Unfortunately, it's not a

[22:45] simple formula. You know, quit smoking.

[22:47] Pretty simple. Move your body. A message

[22:50] we got to say over and over. It could be

[22:52] standing. It could be dancing. It could

[22:53] be gardening. Uh it can be any form of

[22:56] formal exercise. Park your car further

[22:58] away. But the diet quality has gone

[23:00] downhill. So, there actually is a blue

[23:02] zone in the United States. It's Lom

[23:04] Linda, California. And in the 60s it was

[23:06] discovered that if you lived one hour

[23:09] east of Los Angeles, Linda, you lived 12

[23:12] years longer than if you lived in Los

[23:14] Angeles. And when they studied it, diet

[23:17] was actually the number one contributor.

[23:20] They are the home of the 7th Day

[23:21] Adventists. They are 50% vegetarian and

[23:25] they eat a lot of nuts and seeds and,

[23:27] you know, leafy greens. So they are

[23:29] enjoying a much more active lifestyle in

[23:32] a town that has a university and looks

[23:35] pretty normal. I mean there are

[23:36] McDonald's and Arby's there but uh the

[23:39] faith-based uh support has caused them

[23:42] to have a better outcome. Now the other

[23:44] blue zones are out of the United States

[23:46] and they've taught us movement stress

[23:49] less community support quality garden

[23:53] fresh foods not made by somebody in a

[23:56] factory. There's a statement, if it's um

[23:58] if it's grown in the ground, eat it. No,

[24:01] if it's if it's a plant, eat it. If it's

[24:04] made in a plant, don't eat it. That's

[24:05] the quote that you know, sort of

[24:08] hits bullseye. Yeah, that that's

[24:11] interesting. Um okay, one one more

[24:13] question. Um I don't drink I don't drink

[24:16] wine. Um but there's an ingredient

[24:19] called

[24:20] resverrol that I saw is is in wine. What

[24:24] uh specifically in the vitality what

[24:27] what about that uh is is healthy for the

[24:30] heart and the cardiovascular system?

[24:32] Yeah, vitality in the three capsules has

[24:35] 150 milligrams of resveratrol which does

[24:39] come from grapes, apples, onions. It

[24:42] isn't necessary to drink wine, but it is

[24:44] found particularly in dark red wine uh

[24:48] particularly from France if you're want

[24:50] to do some research on it. Um, it's been

[24:53] shown to activate certain genes that

[24:55] slow aging, support healthy arteries,

[24:59] lower blood sugar. So, it's been around

[25:01] for about 25 years and the scientific

[25:04] support is very high. This multiple

[25:08] approach that Vitality has to keep the

[25:10] body healthy, the arteries healthy, the

[25:12] endothelium healthy. Rveratrol has good

[25:16] scientific background. Okay.

[25:18] Interesting. Yeah. I, like I said, I I

[25:20] plugged all this in to chat GPT and it

[25:23] was like th this is really good. And

[25:25] then my own my own cardiologist was

[25:27] like, hey, um, you know, you've got

[25:30] inflammation in the heart. Let's get you

[25:32] on the CoQ10 and and some of these other

[25:34] things. So, once I found that, uh, I was

[25:37] like, "Oh, yeah. I that's, you know, all

[25:39] in one capsule." Uh, make makes a lot of

[25:41] sense for me. Now, the one thing that,

[25:43] uh, you know, is is a mystery is

[25:45] President Trump. you know, he eats

[25:47] McDonald's, but just seems to have the

[25:49] energy energy of an ox. But, uh, when he

[25:52] was asked about that, he said, you know,

[25:53] I just have really good genes. And, uh,

[25:56] but I I just I'm I'm a big believer in a

[26:00] lot of our health can be within our own

[26:02] control. Um, what we put into our mouths

[26:05] and and the movement uh that we make. I

[26:08] did want to just give a a shout out. Um,

[26:10] this is not a a paid video or anything,

[26:13] but I I'm a big believer in uh

[26:15] Brightcore. Uh, my people can get 25%

[26:18] off by going to

[26:21] mybrightcore.comvitality or like I tell

[26:23] them when I actually do an ad, if you

[26:26] call

[26:28] 888908-4425, you can save even more

[26:30] money and and get free shipping. So, um,

[26:33] I I appreciate you uh coming on. Um, I

[26:36] know I know that you're very busy. um

[26:40] with uh you know practicing medicine and

[26:42] and traveling uh between states. My

[26:45] final question for you uh Dr. Khan is

[26:48] are RFK Jr. and Trump are they going to

[26:51] be able to get this movement of make

[26:54] America healthy again and and get

[26:56] Americans back to to moving and

[26:58] understanding the food and the medicine

[27:00] they're putting in their body. Yeah, I

[27:02] think they've assembled a great team.

[27:04] I'm very hopeful. They're starting with

[27:06] the children. I think emotionally and

[27:09] actually just um uh as a good plan.

[27:13] That's a great place to start. Nobody's

[27:15] going to argue that children don't

[27:16] deserve a healthier environment and

[27:18] healthier food and they're going to get

[27:19] some wins under their belt. They have

[27:21] some already. Uh they got a lot of work

[27:23] to do and every every big, you know,

[27:26] corporate force in the world's going to

[27:28] try and cut them down, but it's going to

[27:29] be so unpopular. I think they will have

[27:31] to come on. The the Kagras and the

[27:35] Fizers and the Proctor and Gambles of

[27:38] the world are going to have to come on.

[27:40] You're already seeing them make changes.

[27:42] So, it's going to be a a a train that

[27:45] may start a little slow, but I'm pretty

[27:47] sure it's going to be chugging along a

[27:49] very high speed for at least the next

[27:51] three and three/4ers years. And

[27:53] hopefully we'll see future

[27:54] administrations continue it. Yeah. Hope

[27:56] hopefully hopefully beyond that. Uh I I

[27:59] just saw uh Tokyo, Japan has a new

[28:01] bullet train that goes 600 miles an

[28:04] hour. So we're starting slow, but maybe

[28:05] we can maybe we can get up to that

[28:07] bullet train down the road. Dr. Khan,

[28:09] thank you so much for coming on. Thank

[28:10] you for sharing uh all that information.

[28:13] You know, sometimes we only get 15

[28:15] minutes with a doctor, so to to be able

[28:17] to have 30 minutes with one, I I

[28:19] appreciate it. Thank you again. I hope

[28:21] you have a great rest of your day. Thank

[28:22] you, sir.
