[00:19] most traumatic day

[00:20] in my life. Can you start by

[00:22] walking me through? what

[00:24] you witnessed their, what

[00:25] you what you saw, what you

[00:26] heard Just just walk me

[00:28] through it. I'll start by

[00:31] the the positive, which was

[00:34] you know, Charlie coming up

[00:35] and Being really happy to

[00:37] be with the crowd. Ring

[00:39] everyone up. Um, everyone

[00:40] was chanting and excited for

[00:42] him to be there. He was

[00:44] tossing out, hats, and um,

[00:47] you know he was he was it

[00:49] was clear that he was proud

[00:50] of this movement that he

[00:51] had started and Cloud

[00:52] proud to be. in Utah. Um,

[00:57] in the event went on. first

[00:58] question, went through. and

[01:00] as the second question,

[01:01] came up. Um, the question

[01:03] was on. transgender. Mass

[01:06] Shooters and the question

[01:08] asked Charlie was How many

[01:11] transgender Mass Shooters

[01:12] have there been in the

[01:12] last 10 years? and

[01:14] Charlie's response was too

[01:15] many. that's what he said.

[01:16] He said too many and, the

[01:19] person that asked the

[01:20] question said, yeah that's

[01:21] that's true. I'll give you

[01:21] that It's been 5 5 5

[01:23] trying to get your mass

[01:24] shootings. and then, um, the

[01:30] follow-up question was, how

[01:30] many? mass Shooters have

[01:32] there been in the last 10

[01:32] years? and then, as Charlie

[01:35] went to um, to respond to

[01:38] say, are you? including

[01:39] gang violence? As soon as

[01:40] the word violence came out

[01:41] of his mouth. that's when

[01:43] the shot, um, Rang out. And

[01:47] immediately, I knew it was

[01:48] a gunshot. I could, I knew

[01:50] the sound of it and um,

[01:53] you know, an image that uh,

[01:59] I, uh, I went to therapy

[02:01] yesterday. to try to get

[02:03] out of my mind. And the first

[02:05] thing I saw when I woke up,

[02:14] Therapy is important.

[02:15] Anyone that was that that

[02:17] event should go see. a

[02:19] therapist. Um, Had I not

[02:23] gone yesterday. that image

[02:25] would continually Replay in

[02:27] my mind. and, I was given

[02:31] some tools to, to combat

[02:33] that. as I, um, you know, I

[02:38] had a, I had a little bit

[02:39] of a, a vision as I was,

[02:41] you know, meditating on

[02:42] this subject and in this

[02:43] Vision, I I, uh, I

[02:47] photoshopped in my mind. I

[02:49] photoshopped the blood away.

[02:51] I photoshopped. Charlie. sat

[02:54] him back up. Put a smile

[02:55] back on. And rewound the

[02:58] tape in my mind. I rewound.

[03:01] the bullet. going back. up

[03:03] into the rifle. like, I was

[03:07] Being transported up into

[03:08] this. or the rifle was and I

[03:10] I stuck a flower inside the

[03:12] rifle. I rewound the tape

[03:14] more. in my mind's eye and

[03:16] the shooter he goes down

[03:17] the stairs. I'm rewinding.

[03:19] and I'm, I'm pushing him

[03:19] back in time. and as I

[03:21] press play, the shooter goes

[03:23] up, halfway. He he stops on

[03:25] the landing and turns around.

[03:27] He, he doesn't go through

[03:28] with it. He goes back to

[03:29] his car. And ends his own

[03:32] life. And a few people

[03:34] mourn. few people mourn,

[03:36] the shooter. his parents,

[03:37] his sister is a few

[03:39] close friends. But nobody

[03:41] really cares. Nobody

[03:43] understands in the event

[03:44] goes on. like normal. and

[03:47] for me, I think that was the

[03:48] message that God wanted me

[03:50] to hear and to feel is

[03:52] that there's a lot of

[03:53] people that are lot a lot

[03:55] of people that don't feel

[03:56] seen a lot of people that

[03:57] don't feel heard. and

[03:58] the only thing they have

[03:59] is their ideology or their

[04:02] identity. and so, when

[04:07] that's attacked, they feel

[04:11] like, It's an attack on

[04:13] them. And what we need to

[04:14] do is to assist those

[04:18] individuals. in knowing

[04:19] that. The Love is Real.

[04:24] That God is real. And that

[04:25] they can feel loved again.

[04:33] Skyler at at this point.

[04:34] you mentioned that you've

[04:35] had. therapy, you've had a

[04:38] little time to to process

[04:40] this. What message do you

[04:42] hope that people watching

[04:44] this and and hearing your

[04:45] story a very emotional

[04:47] 1 there? are going to take

[04:48] away the only thing that,

[04:53] uh, is important, at this

[04:55] moment, Is. is, if you feel

[05:05] Hatred in your heart, If

[05:06] this moment made you happy

[05:08] in any way. Then there's a

[05:11] cancer in your soul. You

[05:13] have. You have succumb to. a

[05:15] great evil. If celebrating.

[05:18] the loss of a husband and

[05:20] father, of 2, little

[05:23] children, has made you

[05:24] happy. Then you need to

[05:27] you need to see help. you

[05:29] are broken. You. need to

[05:32] find God. and you need to

[05:34] find love in your heart

[05:35] again because the only way

[05:37] that any of this stops,

[05:39] Is to find love. And to

[05:42] love others around you.

[05:43] And it doesn't mean.

[05:45] validating everything

[05:46] that's going on in

[05:46] their mind. That's not what

[05:48] love is Love is getting

[05:49] help. Love is getting true.

[05:51] Help that can solve your

[05:53] deep rooted issues that

[05:54] would cause you to find joy

[05:56] in the death of another

[06:26] evil is it does not

[06:27] understand the human heart.

[06:29] Evil evil. Things that

[06:31] killing Charlie. Silence

[06:34] him. but, the thing about

[06:37] the human heart is, In

[06:39] trying to silence Charlie.

[06:40] You just created a million

[06:42] more. A million more people

[06:44] are going to rise up and

[06:45] share the same message of

[06:47] Hope. and Divinity and

[06:49] of God. and they're going to

[06:50] stand up. They're going to

[06:51] stand up in the face of

[06:52] evil. People have been quiet

[06:55] for too long. People.

[06:57] allowed. you know? they

[06:59] allowed the cancellations

[07:00] they allowed the uh, the

[07:02] push back, they allowed

[07:03] people, you know, to be fired

[07:05] because you have

[07:06] conservative ideals. and

[07:07] it's not, it's not

[07:08] going to happen anymore.

[07:09] Conservatives are going to

[07:10] stand up in a righteous

[07:10] way. and continue to be

[07:13] loud and be vocal. and to

[07:15] change the world for a

[07:49] And so Don't allow them to,

[07:52] to stay with. You don't

[07:53] allow them to To.

[07:56] infiltrate your mind and

[07:57] and to, to be heavy on

[07:58] you. Go see, help talk to

[08:00] people. Um, they're not

[08:02] going to go away. by

[08:03] yourself. You need to give

[08:04] to therapy. You need to

[08:05] go. Um, be with your loved

[08:07] ones because nothing's

[08:11] helped me more than

[08:12] receiving. Hugs from

[08:14] strangers. receiving.

[08:16] messages from strangers,

[08:17] receiving? you know, people

[08:19] coming to my door and

[08:21] offering me Um, a

[08:23] priesthood blessing and

[08:25] knowing that um, knowing

[08:27] that there's so many people

[08:28] around me. that

[08:30] sell tremendously And there's

[08:31] there's people right now

[08:32] that are alone that are

[08:33] struggling with those

[08:34] thoughts and those images

[08:35] and you need to reach out

[08:36] and and find those people

[08:37] around you, too. Skyler,

[08:41] with you are with Um, I

[08:43] know obviously I can't even

[08:45] begin to Imagine what

[08:46] you've been through but
