so i want to mention that their
oppression isn't just
um isn't just measured by wealth or
misery because the oppression involves
barriers that reduce people into certain
lifestyles okay so for asian americans
for example
often even at this school they're seen
as a model like model minority like
there there's more pressure and more
society like there's more societal
pressure to succeed academically and
that's also like a cultural thing that's
that's that makes my point i'm saying
i'm i'm saying like you can't say racism
doesn't exist in america because the
oppression still exists
so give me give me an example of how
that's racist that the asian mothers
want their kids to go to college how's
that racist
how is it racist that like asian
families put a lot of pressure on their
student their kids to succeed there's
nothing racist about what about tokenism
what about tokenism well
okay so being here at a wealthy
predominantly white school just because
you're non-white or even non-christian
often you're like the assumption is
you're here because of those qualities
okay i would never make that judgment if
someone does then that is racism so i'm
sorry that happens but let me make a
step further
if you or someone else uses the term
white privilege that is equally as
racist as someone making that value
judgment against you
