[00:12] are super liberal and i live in um a

[00:15] sorority house with a lot of girls who

[00:17] are super liberal and one of them in

[00:19] particular

[00:20] is very uh has a nihilistic worldview

[00:23] atheist super liberal and how do i go

[00:26] about that like trying to help her or

[00:28] combat that without

[00:30] still having to live with her as a

[00:32] roommate it's a great question so all of

[00:35] you are going to encounter nihilists at

[00:36] some point in your life you probably

[00:38] already have uh where there is no god

[00:40] we're all just the columbus cells

[00:42] everything here is an accident why even

[00:44] be here it's just a very dark

[00:47] very hedonistic type view eventually

[00:49] because then why not just stuff myself

[00:51] with all these substances it's really

[00:53] it's really a dangerous thing to believe

[01:30] they're going to say there's no such

[01:30] thing as absolute truth right that's one

[01:32] of their big things they say do you

[01:34] believe that absolutely

[01:37] i mean if there's no such thing as

[01:38] absolute truth and what you just said

[01:39] might not be absolutely true then you're

[01:41] believing something that might actually

[01:42] not be true um so which they're not

[01:44] which they are so um so that's the first

[01:46] thing the second thing and this really

[01:47] kind of drives them nuts i wouldn't

[01:50] without god there would be no atheists

[01:52] like that really drives him out of

[02:38] because we believe those of us that

[02:40] believe in god that music is something

[02:42] that is extra spiritual it's actually a

[02:44] connection to a higher power that's why

[02:46] the longest book in the bible is

[02:47] literally songs psalms the last the last

[02:51] chapter of the book of psalms is about

[02:52] using trumpets and using instruments to

[02:55] glorify god

[02:57] they can't explain music

[02:59] they also can't explain beauty

[03:02] ask them is there anything in this world

[03:04] that is beautiful go drive to malibu and

[03:06] say let's look at the sunset is that

[03:08] beautiful yes why

[03:10] why is it that when human beings see an

[03:12] open

[03:13] ocean they all we all agree there's

[03:15] something good about this it's because

[03:17] we all have hardwired in us

[03:19] a yearning to desire the good and reject

[03:22] the bad

[03:23] a a size in our heart that only god can

[03:26] fill even the nihilists will admit this

[03:28] when they're confronted with it and they

[03:29] don't have an answer for it and so my

[03:31] advice to you maybe you'll play mozart

[03:34] maybe something like that and you listen

[03:35] to that music and all of us will agree

[03:36] there's something so sweet and

[03:38] harmonious about this and those of us

[03:40] that believe in the bible we can explain

[03:41] it right we know what that is because we

[03:44] use music as a way to glorify god that

[03:46] is why all of the great conductors and

[03:49] all of the great um orchestra all the

[03:51] great individuals of mozart and bach and

[03:52] all of them they all said on the top of

[03:54] their music glory be to god always

[03:57] because what they were doing to try to

[03:58] glorify god always so

[04:01] that's i could go a lot deeper into that

[04:03] but my advice to you is don't look at

[04:05] her as how am i going to live with her

[04:07] instead say how i'm going to live

[04:09] forever with her how do i bring her to

[04:11] heaven that's my advice to you with it
