Video Transcript
We gather here today in Hyde Park near
Speaker's Corner, the home of free
speech to join millions of patriots
across the world in remembering our
founder Charlie Kirk.
[Applause]
Charlie Kirk is a modern-day martyr who
was murdered for wanting to give people
the freedom to speak their mind and the
opportunity to have a better life.
Get married, have children, build a
legacy, pass down your values, pursue
the eternal, seek true joy. This was
Charlie's mantra and it is the political
recipe that will save the West. Charlie
may have been taken from us, but his
ideas live on through us all.
>> Charlie was a true missionary. He went
into hostile territory and preached
love, family values, and hope to people
who had been written off by wider
society. Charlie did not shy away from
debate or discussing controversial
issues, not because he wanted to offend
people, but because he was horrified
that people are failing to reach their
full potential because they had been
lied to. Charlie refused to allow people
to be told that they weren't good enough
because of the color of the skin or
their gender. That shows the ch type of
man Charlie was. He was honest, kind,
and genuinely believed it was his duty
to educate others so they could better
themselves.
[Applause]
Charlie proved that the age of scholars
and thinkers is not over and he led the
charge in popularizing debate and
academic discussion at our universities.
Charlie single-handedly transformed many
universities from left-wing brainwashing
factories into places where ideas
flourished. That's what Charlie will be
remembered as. Someone who stood up
against censorship and tyranny and won.
When the terrorist, and I do say
terrorist, assassinated Charlie, his
intention was to stamp out Charlie's
voice and undo his vital work. However,
what this far-left extremist did not
count on is how many people Charlie had
inspired across the world through his
peaceful dialogue. When Charlie was
murdered, it created 1 million Charlie
Kirks across the world. and we have all
picked up his microphone and will
continue to spread his message.
[Applause]
>> Not be intimidated by far-left thugs. We
will not be deterred by biased media
headlines. And we will not be silenced
by bullets. We will save the West from
the evil of far-left terror for our
families, for our communities, and for
Charlie.
[Applause]
Now to finish, I want everyone to say
with me, we are Charlie.
>> We are Charlie.
>> We are Charlie. We are Charlieie. We are
Charlie. We are Charlieie. We are
>> Thank you everyone. My name is Jack Ross
and I'm the CEO of Turning Point UK. I
have the pleasure of bringing to the
stage Pastor Andrew Cassumba who's come
all all the way down from Birmingham.
Let's hear it for Andrew everyone.
[Applause]
>> Good afternoon everybody. Can you hear
me clearly?
>> I just want to thank you all for
traveling from wherever you've traveled
from. Thank you Jack and everybody for
inviting me to this special occasion.
And it's a great honor to be able to
stand here and lead us in what is going
to be a sacred moment where we remember
not only a great life well-lived but we
also point to the most important thing
in Charlie's life and that was his
faith.
>> And I'm not expecting any trouble here
today. And I'm going to ask you whether
you are a person of faith or religious
or in any way inclined that way just in
these moments to have an open heart
because Charlie didn't preach religion
even though he might have been labeled
as such. He talked about Jesus Christ.
>> A very real
>> person not only in history but Jesus is
alive.
>> He's alive today. And the Bible says
where two or three are gathered in his
name
>> he is there with them. So, in this
gathering here, the Lord Jesus is with
us. And before we go any further, I want
us to just take a moment to bow our
heads, close our eyes, and we're going
to commit the rest of this gathering to
the Lord Jesus and ask him not only to
comfort us, but to speak to us and to
transform us. So, will you do that with
me?
>> And at the end of the prayer, if you
agree, say, "Amen." It just means let it
be. Let's pray together.
Heavenly Father,
we come before you in the name of Jesus.
We thank you for the life of Charlie
Kirk
for all he stood for.
Most importantly,
the truth that he found in you. We pray
Lord that as we remember him today, as
we reflect on what he learned from you,
that you will transform our hearts,
you'll transform our communities,
transform our nations, and you will
transform this world with the
everlasting love that you displayed when
you died on the cross 2,25 years ago.
and you rose again to bring us hope and
eternal life. I pray that in these
moments we will be united with you and
we will be encouraged that it's not over
yet when we know you as Lord and Savior.
So we thank you for his wife. We pray
that you will be with her and the
children, his immediate family, his
extended family, all those who work for
Turning Point around the world. As many
hearts are grieving today and
remembering Charlie, we pray that hope
will arise because Jesus is alive.
>> And all God's people said,
>> "Amen."
>> Amen.
>> Amen.
>> I just want to take a couple of moments
to talk about who Jesus is.
And uh I never met Charlie. I'm a man
from Africa. And that's what may connect
Charlie and myself because 2025 years
ago, a family took refuge in an African
country called Egypt. They were under
threat
and they wanted to protect their baby
boy. He was no ordinary child. He be the
person we know as Jesus Christ.
And that's the connection that Charlie
and I have because both of us found
faith in Jesus.
From a young age, I've been quite
riddled with death in my family,
losing my father age, and then all my
brothers, my sister, my mom. So I stand
here with my immediate family all gone
on to be with the Lord. And I kind of
like to picture that they're with
Charlie now talking to him, celebrating
with him.
And so I don't bring you religion. I'm
not trying to convert you to anything
that doesn't work. And Charlie wouldn't
want that. But I saw a video of his that
he posted where somebody asked him, "If
you had 30 seconds
to tell me something important before I
die, what would it be?"
And Charlie straight away said, "Eternal
judgment."
You're going to be facing eternal
judgment in 30 seconds. And the only
thing that will save you is not good
works. It's not mantra. It's not how
well you did, but it's the answer to the
question, who is Jesus Christ?
Who is Jesus Christ? And uh I've got
some flyers here that I've prepared for
you and some John's gospels and people
are giving them around. And on the
flyer, it tells you about who Jesus is.
2025 years ago, our global calendar was
changed because of the birth, life,
death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He didn't come to bring another religion
or set of rules, but he says like the
banner says there, I have come to give
you the truth, to tell you the truth. I
am the truth and that truth will set you
free.
That's the truth that Charlie wanted
everybody to know about.
>> The truth that sets you free.
>> It's not bound in a political ideology.
It's not bound in education. It's not
bound in status. But it is found in the
person of Jesus Christ.
>> Amen.
>> And Jesus is here today. and he would
want you to know him the way Charlie
did. You know what's comforting about
what happened to Charlie in such a
tragic way is that from my understanding
it appears that he went straight to
glory with no pain. And the Bible says,
when you know Christ as your savior,
when you've asked him to forgive all
your wrongs, all your sins, you've
received him into your life,
then death is not the end.
>> And we may think that Charlie is dead,
but let me tell you now, he is more
alive now than ever he was before. And
this is the proof of it
that the spirit that he had and the
courage he had lives on and will live
on. And today as I look at the flags
flying, I don't know if you know, but
those flags, the Union Jack especially,
is made up of three crosses.
>> Yeah.
>> You've got St. George's cross, you've
got St. Andrew's cross, you've got St.
Patrick's cross. They all point to the
cross of Jesus Christ.
>> Amen.
>> Where the Romans put him to death
because of these claims that he made
when he said, "I am the way, the truth,
and the life." And he said essentially
that he was God in the flesh and that if
we followed him, we would know the path
to life.
He was innocent and he shed his blood
not just for you and me, but for the
whole world that we might be forgiven.
that the justice of God might be done,
evil will be done away with, and hope
and eternity would arise.
>> And I'm going to tell you a story just
before I end about a young man called
George in Wales,
30 years old, disillusioned with life,
hooked on drugs, looking in all the
wrong places,
and he started to follow Charlie Kirk.
He was so disturbed by what happened
last week that he reached out to the
pastor of his parents and said, "What
must I do?" And the long and short of it
is he has given his heart to Jesus. And
if he was here, he would stand proudly
and say, "I'm a follower of Christ." And
in that, we can see that what Charlie
stood for continues to live on. And all
over the world there's so many reports
of people coming to know Jesus. So let
me leave you with this question.
What are you going to do with Jesus
Christ? Who is Jesus Christ to you?
Well, let me tell you. He's not just a
good teacher, a good example. He is God
in the flesh, the son of God who died
for you. And he's offering you today an
opportunity to know him the way Charlie
did, to have the life that Charlie had,
the hope. And you can say a simple
prayer with me. In fact, the book of
Romans makes it simple. It says, if you
confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord.
Say that with me. Jesus is Lord, and
believe in your heart that God raised
him from the dead, you will be saved.
saved from a lost eternity and saved
into God's kingdom just the way Charlie
was.
>> Amen.
>> So, I'm going to give you this
opportunity now. And like I said, these
are being given out all over here. So,
if you want one, you can pop your hand
up and somebody will pass you one. It
tells you who Jesus is. There's a John's
Gospel which has the story of Jesus. And
you can leave this place with hope in
your heart that it's not over yet. So,
are you ready to receive the Lord Jesus?
>> I believe if Charlie was here, he would
want you to have this opportunity. So,
in this moment, once more, just bow your
heads with me if you will. We're going
to say a prayer together. It's a prayer
of faith. Don't say it to me. Don't even
say it to Charlie. Say it to the Lord
Jesus Christ who is alive and he's the
one who saves.
Don't worry if you don't understand it
all. What you're doing is you're
becoming a part of God's family and you
are entering from darkness into light
just like Charlie did. So, are you
ready?
>> Everywhere, everybody, let's say this
prayer together. Dear Lord Jesus,
>> Dear Lord Jesus,
>> I understand you died on the cross for
my sins.
You shed your pure innocent blood for
me.
>> You shed your pure innocent blood for
me.
>> You took my guilt and my punishment.
>> Please forgive me.
>> Please forgive me.
>> For living my own way.
>> I now believe you rose again.
>> I now believe you rose again.
>> To bring me true hope and eternal life.
>> to bring me true hope and eternal life.
>> I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I
>> just like Charlie did.
>> Just like
>> from this day forward.
>> From this day forward.
>> Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit.
>> Father, fill me with your
>> so I can live for you.
>> So I can live for you.
>> Amen.
>> Amen.
>> Now, if you said that prayer and you
meant it with all your heart, the
greatest miracle of all has happened
today
>> and you have gone from one kingdom into
another. It's a spiritual thing,
>> but it's going to change your life. Did
you say that prayer today?
>> Yes.
>> Did you? Who said that prayer? I want to
know. Fantastic.
>> So, before you leave, grab one of these
flyers. It'll tell you what it means to
be a Christian. You are now part of
God's family. And guess what the good
news is? When we pass from this life to
the next, we will be reunited with all
our loved ones. We will see Charlie
again. We will see all those who've gone
on before. But in the meantime, find
yourself a good church, get yourself a
Bible, and continue to live with
courage. That will be the legacy that
Charlie Kirk left if you take on the
faith of Jesus.
>> May the Lord bless you all
and continue to lead you as you pray to
him.
I'm just going to hand over
It's alive forever.
>> The Charlie is not dead.
>> He's alive forever.
>> Well, Charlie is not dead. He is in
Jesus's presence. That is true. He is
with the Lord. Now, I want to just hand
over to a couple more people who are
going to share some thoughts with you.
We've got Nick, we've got Young Bob,
we've got Hannah. So, I I want you to
give them the same. Up next, we have
another fantastic speaker, Nick Tenone,
our COO. He's someone who stood with us
when we were at rock bottom at Turning
Point and helped turn us into the
thriving organization that we are today.
Let's hear from Nick Tenone, everyone.
>> Blessed be the Holy and Undivided
Trinity now and forever more. In the
name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Patriots, let us first address some
grave matter. Be under no illusion. Not
only are we fighting for the soul of
this nation, but we are in the fight of
our lives. Let's look at recent events.
We all know we are here because of the
horrific assassination of Charlie Kerr,
God rest his soul, by a radical far-left
extremist. Yet, this is not an isolated
incident. A Labour counselor called for
conservative throats to be slit and got
away with it. A radical left-wing Tik
Tocker with over 200,000 followers
called for people to kill them all
following Charlie's murder and got away
with it. A far-left musician slandered
Charlie and said, "Chat and you
will get banged and got away with it." A
pro-IRRA pop group has endlessly pledged
support to terror organizations and got
away with it. Recently in Minneapolis, a
transnutcase murdered two children in a
Catholic church. The male posted videos
online detailing his armory and
inscriptions he had written on magazines
and bullets. such writing as suck on
this and where is your god and for the
children. Arena zodska was murdered for
being white and a hideous individual
called professor Alice Roberts has
published an article the rise of
Christian nationalism and I quote is a
danger to us all. Both freedom of speech
and freedom of consequence exists for
the communists and the Islamists. But
freedom of speech and freedom of
consequence does not exist for
conservative Christians.
Charlie stood for the one true faith and
for freedom of speech and this ladies
and gentlemen is how we will remember
him.
Freedom of speech is one of the pillars
of freedom. But which way now, western
man? We are absolutely deluding
ourselves if we think we have freedom of
speech in the UK. Our laws, our
intelligence services, government and
police all stand with and for the rights
of the unholy alliance. Patriots, there
is nothing left other than to face the
cross. There is only one direction for
us now. I say we honor Charlie as we do
all the Christian martyrs by continuing
our struggle for freedom.
As Charlie said, the greatest threat to
freedom is when people are too afraid to
speak their minds. In fact, Charlie said
he had two favorite quotes. The first is
this too shall pass. The second is
biblical. Romans 8:28, God works all
things for good for those who love him.
I, like Charlie, have two things to say.
The first is to remember that suffering
is grace. The second is inspired by
Revelation 12:7, the prayer to St.
Michael the Archangel.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in
battle. Be our safeguard against the
wickedness and snares of the devil. May
God rebuke him, we humbly pray and do
vow, oh prince of the heavenly host. By
the power of God, thrust into hell Satan
and all evil spirits who wander through
the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
>> Amen.
>> Patriots, our love is not our weakness.
It is our strength. The left hate. This
is why they fail and in so doing inspire
thousands because we are commanded to
live and move by love. And love, ladies
and gentlemen, conquers all.
>> Amen.
[Applause]
>> But that does not mean we are doormats.
No, we are commanded to confront
injustice. And for that, ladies and
gentlemen, you need courage. And the
most purest form, the most inspiring
form of courage is found nowhere else
than within Christianity. in the faith
of our Lord and Savior and those
Christian martyrs who demonstrated to us
for thousands of years that the time of
lies and deceit must not go unopposed.
Meek and mild is used by cowards so very
often to avoid the fight. The time of
action, courage and duty is now upon us.
And I say to you that the time of the
cross now bestows us. The cross is what
gave Charlie his strength. It is what
gives us our strength and our courage.
It is what teaches us the importance of
love and protection of those who are
vulnerable, those who need protection by
knights. And knights, ladies and
gentlemen, is what is lacking on our
crusade. our crusade to save Britain
from tyranny, from corruption, and from
certain doom. God, ladies and gentlemen,
gives everyone the right to defend
themselves. What is missing is action.
What is missing is duty. Charlie knew
the risks, but he knew his duty. And
that, ladies and gentlemen, makes
Charlie Kirk a hero and a Christian
martyr.
[Applause]
We will defend our freedoms. We will
defend our Lord's church. And we will
stand united against the forces of evil.
Charlie Kirk's memory lives on forever.
>> Amen.
>> Nick Tenone, our CHO.
Next up, we have um another fantastic
speaker. This is the man whose Turning
Point UK was actually his dream. He was
the one who was given it uh by the
Americans. We have Oliver Annisfeld, the
founder of Turning Point UK.
>> Hello everyone.
Today, so far we've heard words of
dialogue, words of faith, words of free
speech, of peace, patriotism. Gosh, we
must all be far-right thugs.
didn't expect to turn up to one of those
rallies today. So, back in 2018, I think
it was late 2018, I met Charlie Kirk at
an event where he came to speak in in
the UK and we spoke afterwards and met
the next day and he asked me and Jack
and a few others uh to help bring over
Turning Point to the UK. Um, a month or
so later, uh, we decided to set up a
campus tour and we brought him to a few
different campuses across the UK. I
decided during one of the breaks we take
him to SOASS. I don't know if any of you
are familiar with SOASS, one of the most
infamous far-left woke campuses. And we
took Charlie there and we had a little
sign. Uh we put up a sign next to him
that said, "Socialism is evil. Prove me
wrong." Fair enough. And uh Charlie was
arguing to the students who approached
him that socialism was a form of theft.
Um, fittingly, his sign was stolen by
the students within minutes of him
getting there and over Charlie saying,
"No, no, no. Let let them take it. It's
okay. We got it all on camera." You can
see that, by the way, on the Turning
Point YouTube channel. Um, and then the
student union, they created, they put
piece of paper together and they created
a big sign outside of their window where
Charlie was speaking that said, "This
man is a fascist." Um, but unfortunately
the paper kept falling down every two
minutes. They kept to sticking it back
up and it was a bit a little bit
awkward. Um, but what it became clear to
us as Charlie did this speaking tour and
then he came back a few times was that
he was completely unique. He's
irreplaceable was the word that came to
my mind when we all the news hit us. The
shocking news hit us. He was utterly
irreplaceable. He had this ability to
connect to people, especially young
people. He was so quick on his feet, so
agile. Who else is like him that can do
this? And I think it's particularly
poignant for all of us to note that the
first place that Charlie wanted a
turning point outside of America was
this country, the UK.
>> Charlie
Charlie loved this country. He loved it.
And he said when he was at, I believe it
was when he was at the Oxford Union
recently, that you do not have America
without the UK. that America was based
on the ideas uh of the uh the
enlightenment in Britain. But the
problem is today is that we've lost
belief in ourselves in these values. And
Charlie himself said just a few weeks
ago that Britain when he came here he
said Britain has become a husk of its
former self. And we all know this.
That's why we're all here. The biblical
and conservative values that make
Britain great. We we've lost it. We've
lost touch with it. And I think it's
very telling, isn't it? If we contrast
the reaction to the George Floyd killing
with the Charlie Kirk killing and murder
in the former you had looting riots and
here in Charlie's case we see vigils
prayer good deeds people taking
responsibility for their lives friends
that tells you all you need to know and
the response also the appalling response
to Charlie's murder from the woke
brigade and the fringe right has also
been appalling and tells us all we need
to know. But there's a biblical idea,
biblical and spiritual idea that when
you kill someone good, someone deeply
good, tragic as it is, their goodness
actually increases in the world. And
there can be no doubt that Charlie's
message has been amplified farther and
wider than ever before. Young people,
not just across America, not just across
the West, across the world are asking,
"Who is this man Charlie Kirk?" They're
watching his videos and he goodness me
he has a lot of videos for them to
consume. This may well be a very
significant turning point and I even say
this for me personally too. I myself in
the past week have been asking how can
what can I do in my own life on a micro
level and a macro level to take more
personal responsibility for this world.
Charlie was a man of principle and
courage. And in his absence, because he
was, as I said, so irreplaceable, the
only response we can offer is that all
of us need to become Charlie Kirks.
>> We are up against radical opponents,
rad, the radical left, radical
Islamists, and if we think the answer is
just to say, well, we're against
radicalism, we will lose. Radicals can
only be fought by being radical ourself.
We have to be radically good, radical
believers in the biblical values that
made Britain a great nation. So I leave
by asking all of you to think, what will
you do to emulate Charlie? I saw a clip
of Charlie where he said, I'm a lot less
interested in what I want from God and
much more interested in what he wants
from me.
How can we save God's world? So let's
all of us ask what can we all do to make
this world the world around us in a
microwave and a macro way a bit better.
How can we all take a bit more personal
responsibility? And I'm asking myself
the same question bit more personal
responsibility in our life for those
around us. And how can we live a life
more rooted in biblical values? And what
will all of us do to stand up to the
left's culture of fear in the classroom,
in the workplace, and in our social
lives? And if you aren't already, of
course, make sure you get involved with
Turning Point UK, who are going to carry
this mission forward. So, may Charlie's
memory be a blessing to us all. Let's
make him proud. And just as it is in
America, let's make this moment a
turning point for Britain. God bless you
all.
[Applause]
>> That was Oliver Anisfeld, the founder of
Turning Point UK. We have a new addition
to our team, a fantastic young speaker.
Many of you know him already, but he's
our youth ambassador at Turning Point.
Let's hear it for young Bob.
[Applause]
>> Now, there's a common saying I used to
say whenever tragedies like this strike
the right, that being that the catalyst
of a political movement is censorship.
And when the most ultimate form of
censorship is imposed on an immutable
figure within conservative politics. For
all I say is this. Like the gentleman
before me, this is a turning point for
the West. That gentleman, the only one
man in the US who stood for young
people, ultimately had to take the guilt
of divisiveness upon himself. But for my
prescription for everyone here is that
everyone has to take the blunt of
freedom of speech. And I don't know what
Charlie Kirk would have said here today,
but for what I say here today as someone
who's experienced the tyranny on the
left in the education institutions here
in the West is that we must continue the
fight to reunite young people to
Christian conservatism because the
momentum set by Turning Point USA has to
be a momentum that uncovers the globe to
make sure that young people, the most
valuable resource that our generation
has here today, must be protected
because so many of them here now are
radicalized by gore that they saw at a
very young age and now have the guilt to
laugh at a poor man who unfortunately
passed away. My prescription to everyone
here is this. Please continue the
platform that Charlie K, the founder of
the conservative pipeline, please
continue that work because it must be
done. And can we please bring back
gentlemen debating because unfortunately
Charlie Kirk stood on a platform that
we're all dignified in the image of God.
And you notice that although he could
very well articulate his points, he
always saw the best in people. He always
wanted the best in people. And
unfortunately the response in that was
ending his life and arguing that for
whatever reason someone is devalued off
the merit of their opinions. So again,
we must continue the fight in the west.
We must continue his work here in the
UK. And I know that Charlie Kirk wanted
the UK branch of his organization to
continue in paramount to America.
[Applause]
>> That was Young Bob, our Turning Point
Youth Ambassador.

thing to do is go on to our website,

media. We do monitor all of our
platforms and if you are keen to get

Now is the time for us to come together.
We've had thousands of people uh sign up
and what we don't want to do is is waste
Charlie's sacrifice. We want to we want
to have something positive come out of
this tragedy. We want to build his
British vision. He had a dream that TPU
UK would replicate TPUSA at the
UNiversities and at the community level.
And we tried to do this before in 2019
and 2020. And we faced horrific abuse
from the left. We faced horrific
violence. Uh Nick as well. He had a
broom handle wrapped around his head um
whilst we were doing a peaceful protest.
These these people are
it's no longer left versus right. It's
become good versus evil. And when we're
small in numbers, it's very easy for
them to bully us and intimidate us and
push us around. But when we come
together like this, you notice they
there's no counterprotest. They're not
going to show up because we outnumber
them and they are cowards. And we need
to learn from Charlie's bravery,
Charlie's strength, and come together.
[Applause]
>> So, thank you again for coming today,
everyone. I'm going to pass you over to
our COO, Nick.
