[00:00] Okay. So, my name is uh Jimmy and uh in

[00:04] 2016 I met a young woman named Erica

[00:07] France. We became friends because we had

[00:10] similar passions in international

[00:12] mission work um as she worked directly

[00:14] with orphanages in Romania and I did

[00:16] mission work in Hun Honduras. And that

[00:19] woman would go on to become Erica Kirk

[00:22] as she married Charlie Kirk and had two

[00:24] beautiful children. And I say this

[00:26] because I'm a husband and a father. And

[00:29] um

[00:31] and uh I can't imagine the pain my

[00:33] friend Erica has felt over the past two

[00:35] weeks. She had her spouse's execution

[00:39] broadcast on the internet and now her

[00:41] kids have to grow up without their dad.

[00:44] And uh and I just can't stop thinking

[00:46] about Erica's first public statement

[00:49] where she described a three-year-old

[00:50] asking where her dad is. And it just it

[00:53] just wrecked me. And obviously everyone

[00:56] knows Councilwoman Beck saw that and and

[00:59] made a a post mocking Charlie. And I

[01:05] just I just don't get it. This is not a

[01:07] random Twitter troll. This is an elected

[01:09] leader whose salaries paid with our tax

[01:11] dollars. And and I'm not angry. I'm just

[01:14] I'm just genuinely sad. I'm sad for this

[01:17] country. And I'm I'm sad for you,

[01:20] Councilwoman Beck.

[01:25] If someone's reaction to Charlie Kirk's

[01:28] assassination is to dunk on social

[01:29] media, like you have anger in your heart

[01:32] that I can't comprehend. And that's just

[01:34] really sad. So, if my friend Erica can

[01:36] forgive Charlie's murderer, then I can

[01:38] certainly forgive Councilwoman Beck. But

[01:41] the reaction by so many people in this

[01:43] country shows there is there's a

[01:44] sickness in this nation and we need

[01:47] healing.

[01:48] And I know some people will disagree

[01:50] with this, but I'm a Christian and I

[01:52] think this healing can only come through

[01:54] Christ. But whether you agree with that

[01:56] or not, I think everyone can agree

[01:58] something's deeply wrong with our

[01:59] country.

[02:03] and I know Councilwoman Beck took down

[02:05] the social media post. I haven't heard

[02:07] any statements since. I don't know where

[02:08] she stands. Um and I genuinely mean

[02:12] this. You're welcome at my church

[02:13] anytime

[02:15] because I'm a sinner in need of a savior

[02:17] just like everyone here. And I pray for

[02:20] the hearts of all our leaders because

[02:21] it's a really it's a really dark time in

[02:24] our nation. And um and I'm here for my

[02:27] friend Erica and I pray for her family.
