Dan Bongino Attacks Candace Owens Over Erika Kirk Scrutiny: Why This Response Exposes Everything Wrong

Dan Bongino unleashed an emotional tirade against those questioning inconsistencies surrounding Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk's widow, specifically targeting Candace Owens without naming her. The former FBI agent told critics they deserve to feel the flames of hell and don't belong in the afterlife, while simultaneously claiming he wishes ill on no one. This analysis breaks down the contradictions in Bongino's statements, examines why scrutiny of public figures remains legitimate even after tragedy, and questions why the same intensity isn't directed at actual documented crimes like those in the Epstein files. Graham Allen, Ben Shapiro, and others joined the chorus calling Candace Owens "demonic" and "evil" for investigating unanswered questions about Charlie Kirk's death, creating a coordinated messaging campaign that raises its own questions about authenticity and motives.

Dan Bongino's Contradictory Attack on Critics

Dan Bongino launched an emotionally charged attack against individuals questioning inconsistencies surrounding Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk. While never explicitly naming Candace Owens, his comments appeared directed at her and others who have raised questions about the circumstances following Charlie Kirk's death and Erika Kirk's subsequent leadership of Turning Point USA.

Bongino began by claiming he's "nobody's victim" despite choosing public life, then pivoted to defending Erika Kirk by saying she "didn't choose this." The contradiction was immediate and stark. As the commentator noted, Erika Kirk actually did make several public choices: marrying someone in the public eye, taking over as CEO of TPUSA, and conducting interviews including one with Nicki Minaj whom Charlie Kirk had previously criticized.

The most jarring moment came when Bongino told critics: "I wish ill on no one. Everyone should restrain their emotions." Seconds later, he said: "I can think of no other New York way to say it than fuck you. You deserve to feel the little licks of the flames of hell on every inch of your body. Fuck you. If there's an afterlife, and I believe there is, I believe in the second creation. I don't pretend to be the judge and jury, but I know you're not in it."

This whiplash between preaching restraint and pronouncing eternal damnation on people asking questions encapsulates the problem many see with the response to legitimate scrutiny.

The Public Figure Question

A key point of contention is whether Erika Kirk, as a public figure running a major political organization, is subject to the same scrutiny as any other public figure. Bongino claimed she "didn't choose this," but the evidence suggests otherwise. She chose to take on the CEO role at TPUSA rather than installing an experienced executive while she grieved privately. She chose to continue hosting what's still called "The Charlie Kirk Show" rather than renaming it or stepping away.

The commentator pointed out that he had never heard of Erika Kirk before Charlie's death, meaning she actually stepped further into the public spotlight following the tragedy. The choice to remain in that spotlight while heading a major political organization naturally invites scrutiny, especially when inconsistencies emerge.

Where's The Energy For Real Crimes?

One of the most pointed criticisms leveled at Bongino concerned his priorities. Before joining the FBI, Bongino expressed strong interest in the Epstein files. After leaving the FBI, that energy disappeared despite having access to information. The commentator asked: "Where is this energy, man? You're going to do it based off of people who are finding inconsistencies with Charlie Kirk's wife after he was murdered?"

This question gets to the heart of why many find the coordinated response suspicious. Documented crimes involving powerful people receive less passionate denunciation than citizens asking questions about a public figure. Bongino's claim that critics deserve hell while actual predators in the Epstein files receive no such condemnation struck many as revealing misplaced priorities.

Graham Allen Joins The Chorus

Graham Allen added his voice to the attack, claiming to want to know "who's funding" Candace Owens' investigation into Erika Kirk. This question revealed either ignorance or disingenuousness, as Candace Owens reportedly makes upwards of five million dollars per month from her independent platform and is married to George Farmer, whose family wealth exceeds $200 million.

Allen claimed Candace Owens "is going to get the wife and possibly even the children of Charlie Kirk hurt" and called her investigation "evil." He then attacked those who "called Charlie your friend" but aren't defending his widow, missing the point entirely that some see investigating unanswered questions as honoring Charlie Kirk's memory, not attacking it.

The commentator noted: "A lot of people look at this and they say, 'Oh, you're just attacking a widow.' Okay, but Charlie is not there to defend himself and to see any of this stuff. Do you think if Charlie was here, a guy who questioned everything, do you think he would be involved if Candace Owens was killed and there was this much crap going on? I would say a fucking yes."

The Coordinated "Demonic" Messaging

What stood out most was the coordinated nature of the response across multiple conservative personalities, all using remarkably similar language. A rapid-fire compilation showed:

  • Graham Allen: "I'm convinced Candace Owens is a demon"
  • Politics 1776: "Candace is a demon"
  • Jordan S90: "I'm not sure if Candace Owens is merely a demon. I think the devil gave her something"
  • Cat Turd: "Candace Owens is pure evil"
  • Natalie Jean: "Candace Owens is a demon"
  • Sean Hannity: "Candace Owens is a genuine demon"

This uniformity of messaging raised questions about authenticity. Were these independent conclusions or coordinated talking points? The commentator noted the irony: "Have you said any of the people in the Epstein files are a demon or demonic or Satanist? Because that's literally what they are about confirmed. Not all of them, but the basis of the elites is Satanism."

Ben Shapiro Weighs In

Ben Shapiro joined the pile-on, calling Candace Owens "an evil twisted human being" for spending months "attacking the widow of Charlie Kirk." Shapiro criticized Owens for starting her questions just days after Charlie's murder and continuing for months.

The commentator pointed out a legitimate question Shapiro ignored: Why is the show still called "The Charlie Kirk Show" if Charlie Kirk is gone? "If you were killed tomorrow or you died, would you want somebody coming on your show with it still being named the Ben Shapiro show? Some guy named John [whoever] is now running your show, but it's welcome to the Ben Shapiro show. It doesn't really make that much sense, does it?"

Shapiro also stated as fact that Charlie Kirk was shot "not by some sort of vast conspiracy involving French intelligence and Egyptian airplanes, but by a trans-loving gay man." The commentator's response: "You don't know that. We haven't even gotten to the trial yet, man. You don't know that."

The Information War

The broader context provided was that modern warfare is primarily informational, not military. "We live in an age where the war is not won in the battlefield or it's not even in the battlefield to begin with. Sure, if countries want to go to war, great. But for us, it's all on information. It's all on how people think they can influence your brain."

This perspective suggests that the coordinated response against anyone questioning the official narrative serves a purpose beyond simply defending a widow. It establishes that certain topics are off-limits, certain questions cannot be asked, and certain people cannot be scrutinized regardless of their public role or the inconsistencies that emerge.

There was also discussion of paid influencers running pro-administration campaigns on both political sides, with the suggestion that what previously existed on the left during the Biden administration now exists on the right.

Unanswered Questions Remain

The fundamental issue driving the controversy is that many questions about Charlie Kirk's death remain unanswered. The FBI conducted what many consider an inadequate investigation that resolved nothing. Multiple theories exist about what actually happened, and without thorough investigation and transparency, speculation fills the void.

As the commentator noted: "We still don't know what happened with Charlie Kirk. There are a million different theories out there. There are people saying that he's still alive. There are people saying there was a squib under his shirt and there was a blood bag and all this other stuff, exploding microphones, that he was shot from below. We've got a million different theories out there and the last one is just as good as the next because the FBI did some [poor] investigation and then did nothing with it."

The coordinated effort to shame and silence those asking questions, rather than providing transparent answers, only deepens suspicion among those who believe accountability and truth matter more than protecting any individual's reputation.
