Charlie Kirk is the Founder and President of Turning Point USA, the largest and fastest growing conservative youth activist organization in the country with over 250,000 student members, over 150 full-time staff, and a presence on over 2,000 high school and college campuses nationwide. Charlie is also the Chairman of Students for Trump, which aims to activate one million new college voters on campuses in battleground states in the lead up to the 2020 presidential election. His social media reaches over 100 million people per month and according to Axios, he is one of the "top 10 most engaged" Twitter handles in the world. He is also the host of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” which regularly ranks among the top news shows on Apple podcast charts.

Erika Kirk Opens Up About Life After Charlie Kirk's Death and Turning Point USA's Future

Erika Kirk sits down with Megyn Kelly to share the intimate story of her life with Charlie Kirk, from their unexpected first meeting in New York to raising their two children after his assassination. She reveals Charlie's final journal entries about honoring the Sabbath, discusses his upcoming book Stop in the Name of God, and addresses the outpouring of conspiracy theories and attacks she's faced. Erika also makes clear that Turning Point USA will not weaken under her leadership, explaining how Charlie handpicked the team now carrying forward his mission to save Western civilization and reach disaffected young men across America.

The Question Everyone Was Asking

Megyn Kelly opened the conversation by acknowledging what she believed every man in the audience was thinking: how does someone end up with a wife like Erika Kirk? The answer, both Charlie and Erika would say, was simple: God's grace. Erika reflected on how neither of them felt they deserved the blessing of their partnership, but rather saw it as a divine gift that shaped everything they built together.

Erika shared that very few people got to see Charlie from her unique vantage point, except herself and their children. She spoke with visible pride about her husband's work ethic, his viral campus videos, and his unwavering commitment to the mission of Turning Point USA. She emphasized that she would not have been able to accomplish anything without Charlie, and that the truth was Charlie couldn't have done what he did without her either.

A Tribute to Courage and Faith

The conversation touched on the memorial service held for Charlie Kirk, where Erika delivered powerful remarks that moved the nation. She recalled Charlie's own words about how he wanted to be remembered: for his courage and for his faith. Those two pillars defined everything he did, from building Turning Point USA from the ground up to speaking truth on college campuses across America.

At the memorial, Erika spoke about what happened after Charlie's assassination. Instead of violence, rioting, or revolution, the country witnessed revival—exactly what Charlie had always prayed for. In a moment that stunned everyone watching, Erika publicly forgave the accused killer, stating that the movement Charlie built would not die. She refused to let that happen, vowing that no one would ever forget her husband's name.

Celebrating Charlie's Life

Megyn Kelly asked Erika about a specific moment at the memorial that stood out to many: the fireworks. Charlie loved pyrotechnics at Turning Point events, always asking for more fire, more sparks, louder displays. Even at his memorial service, Erika made sure there were fireworks because that's what Charlie would have wanted. It was a signature element of every Turning Point USA event, and it felt right to honor him that way.

Kelly then asked Erika the question she'd learned from friends who had experienced loss: "How are you doing today?" Erika explained that it had been an emotional week because it was her first birthday without Charlie. The "firsts" after losing someone are always significant—first birthday, first holiday, first anniversary. The audience spontaneously sang happy birthday to Erika, and she struggled to hold back tears, acknowledging how hard it was not to cry.

The Village Charlie Built

Erika expressed deep gratitude for the support system surrounding her. She explained that Charlie had handpicked everyone in their closest circle—the people who run Turning Point USA and those within their personal orbit. He chose individuals he loved and trusted, people he knew without a shadow of a doubt would step up if something happened to him. He knew they would be filled with the Holy Spirit and do what they were born to do without fear.

This chosen family and village that Charlie built made it possible for Erika to carry on. She said she couldn't do even a fraction of what she's doing without them. Megyn Kelly confirmed that Turning Point USA is in excellent hands, with a team of good, decent, loving people who adored Charlie and continue to honor his legacy.

Erika's Background and Journey

Kelly shifted the conversation to learn more about Erika herself. Before meeting Charlie, Erika was Miss Arizona and a businesswoman in New York. Her most important identity, she emphasized, was as a daughter of the King, the Most High. Everything else flowed from that foundation.

Erika shared a powerful story about an event Charlie attended in August before his death, where donors asked what would happen to Turning Point if something happened to him. Charlie made a distinction between founder-led companies like Apple and vision-led organizations, saying that what he built would one day be vision-led. He mentioned that Erika would do a great job running it. When Erika watched that video after his death, it gave her perspective on her entire life journey.

Growing up, Erika watched her mother run her own company as a single parent. Her mother became the blueprint showing her she didn't need to be afraid of raising children alone or being a CEO. The only thing Erika feared was being out of alignment with God's will, which she viewed as a dangerous position to be in.

Moving to New York

When Erika was living in Los Angeles, she prayed about whether God wanted her in New York. She told the Lord that if that's where she needed to be, to make it clear. After receiving that clarity, she bought a one-way ticket to New York with just one suitcase. Her mother asked what she would do when she got there, and Erika simply said she'd figure it out—she just knew that's where the Lord needed her.

Many people questioned why such a strong Christian would move to such a dark city. Erika's response was profound: "The more that you take the light out of a dark place, the darker it gets." So that's exactly where she went. In New York, she worked as a casting director, was signed with a modeling agency, and had just gotten her real estate license three months before meeting Charlie.

The Unexpected Meeting

Erika attended Turning Point USA's first office building opening in Arizona. Tyler Bowyer, who now runs Turning Point Action, told her she needed to meet the CEO. She met Charlie briefly, shook his hand, and neither of them thought much of it at the time. Tyler apparently told Charlie they needed to hire her, but when he learned she lived in New York, Charlie said he would do a Fox News hit and then interview her in Manhattan.

Erika thought the meeting was purely about a consulting position. She was completely career-focused at the time, having been raised by her mother to not rely on a man for her life and work. She had no interest in the Manhattan dating pool, having witnessed the "pits of hell" through her roommates' experiences. She stayed far away from dating in New York.

When she sat down with Charlie, she viewed it as the job interview it was supposed to be. But God had other plans. Erika fell in love with how brilliantly Charlie could articulate what he believed in. Then Charlie said something unexpected: "I'm not going to hire you. I'm going to date you." Erika knew that was the Lord speaking because she had prayed that her future husband would be the only reason she'd look up, and someone saying "I'm going to date you" was definitely something to look up to.

Falling in Love

The relationship developed through Charlie's consistent presence—little texts in the morning that showed "I'm here for you." The love continued to grow, but Erika pinpointed when the depths of love really started: when they were playing basketball together at the gym, just shooting around. By the time Charlie introduced Erika as his fiancée on video, they were completely inseparable, staring at each other in a way that became relationship goals for countless people watching.

After they married, they had two children together. Erika revealed something deeply personal: she and Charlie wanted four children total, and she was praying she was pregnant when he was murdered. She had hoped for that ultimate blessing to come out of the catastrophe, though it wasn't meant to be. Still, she's profoundly grateful for the two children they have together.

Advice for Young Couples

The experience has given Erika a message for young couples: don't put off having children. Especially for young women, she emphasizes that you can always have a career, you can always go back to work, but you can never just go back to having children. They grow so fast and so quickly. She and Charlie were both excited to expand their family, but time ran out.

Erika is grateful her children have each other. One day they'll discover they're Charlie Kirk's children and understand what that means. Right now they're just little loves, but eventually they'll comprehend the significance of their father's legacy and the impact he had on the world.

Living Without Fear

Megyn Kelly asked whether Erika, being so connected to God, had any premonition that something would happen to Charlie. Erika explained that they always knew there were threats and people who hated them with deep passion, but it never scared them. Charlie was never afraid, and neither was she. They were intentional about protecting their children—never showing their faces on the internet—but they lived each day as if it could be their last.

Charlie's speeches were so powerful because he didn't know if each one would be his last speech, so he was intentional about every word. Every word had meaning, and every speech had a connection point for students and audiences. That's why he never missed an opportunity to weave the gospel into what he was saying, which is what set him apart from other right-wing pundits and commentators. He supercharged the message with biblical references and faith-based wisdom, making it ten times more powerful.

While they knew there were threats and things were heating up—there had been several shootings and individuals with guns on campuses—it wasn't anything that made them think differently about their daily lives. They simply trusted the Lord every day rather than living in fear of when that day might come.

The Morning of Charlie's Death

On the morning Charlie died, he had slept in their daughter's room because she woke up in the middle of the night wanting snacks. In the morning, he came back into their room to get his necklace and his wedding ring. The necklace had a cross and a St. Michael's medal on it. Erika wears it every single day now.

This raised a profound theological question for Megyn Kelly: How can someone be wearing their cross and St. Michael's medal—armor meant to protect—and still be shot to death? Erika's answer revealed the depth of her faith. She explained that the Lord is so powerful, and we're not meant to understand all of His ways. There's mercy in knowing that God uses evil for good, even when we don't understand exactly how.

Erika found profound comfort in the statement "Thy will be done." She explained why: because it shows that control is an absolute illusion. The Lord knows the number of hairs on our heads and the number of our days. That's why Charlie was so intentional about making sure everyone knew their role in life was important—that every person is the missing puzzle piece to the whole story.

The Tapestry Metaphor

Erika shared a metaphor she and Charlie used to discuss at dinner about how life works like a tapestry. When you look at one side, you see hanging threads of different colors all over the place that don't make any sense. But when you turn the tapestry around, you see how beautifully woven together and intentional every thread is. That's how they viewed God's plan.

Erika fully believes in putting on the full armor of God every single day. All of her bracelets, rings, and necklaces have meaning to her, which is why she always wears them. She knows they'll never fully understand God's ways—mortal brains couldn't compute what He has designed. But she knows the Lord spoke through Charlie in so many ways, and she still feels deeply connected to him.

Signs From Charlie

Megyn Kelly asked about signs—whether Erika had received any from Charlie since his death. Erika shared something personal from their relationship. When they first started dating and walking to dinner one night, lights would start to flicker. Charlie would look up and say it happened to him a lot. Throughout their entire dating period and marriage, whenever they'd be in a room and a light flickered, he would just look at her and wink. It was their little thing.

The night everything happened when they were in Utah, Erika was alone in a hotel room and the bathroom light strobed all night like a strobe light. Part of her couldn't sleep because of the strobe light, part because her world had crumbled, and part because she felt Charlie's presence, thinking "Baby, I feel you. I know you're here."

Other signs come through their daughter, who says little things that make Erika think Charlie is communicating through her. Erika makes heaven exciting for the children, telling them "Daddy had so much fun today" and that all the people sending gifts and letters are friends daddy is telling to send them. She tells her daughter that daddy is orchestrating from heaven to make sure they always feel loved.

Talking to the Children About Heaven

At night, Erika talks with her daughter about daddy's day in heaven. Sometimes she asks her daughter what she thinks he did in heaven that day. Erika tries to make it exciting because heaven is exciting—it's our true home. She wants her daughter to know daddy is having fun and building a place for their family in heaven.

Erika has never watched the video of Charlie's death and has no plans to. When Kelly asked how she'll handle it when the kids get older and learn about the haters, Erika explained her approach. First and foremost, she wants her children to have a childhood. That's another reason she doesn't put them on the internet or expose them to certain screen time. The only shows they watch are Charlie's content, Bob Ross (because he has a nap-inducing voice), and occasionally Charlie's events.

Erika wants them to be children first and to learn deeply about God and Jesus. When they do get older and see the hate, she wants them to also understand how much good is still out there and that they can be the antidote to evil. She wants them to pray for those people and not be afraid. She never wants them to be afraid, but she does want them to see that evil exists because they, their parents, or their loved ones are doing something to make a difference.

Not Looking Like the World

Erika emphasized that if you're not getting attacked or slandered, you're just looking a lot like the rest of the world. She wants her children to know that's okay to be different. She's been called many names and has been slandered, but none of it means anything to her. It's all just noise. As Christians, they're called to be in the world, not of it. If the world could understand her, she wouldn't be doing something right.

One bizarre example of the attacks was the controversy over the hug she shared with Vice President JD Vance. People went to weird places with their interpretations. Erika explained that she's an intense hugger—her love language is touch. During the hug with JD, right after an emotional video played, he said he was proud of her, she said "God bless you," and she touched the back of his head. Anyone she hugs and touches the back of their head, she always says "God bless you." It's just what she does.

The fact that people took it out of context shows they need a hug more than anyone else. Erika joked that now when she hugs people, she brings them back in and says she obviously didn't give them the right hug. People have even accused her hair of being fake, which it's not—it's very real, and her hairstylist confirmed this to Megyn Kelly.

The Story Behind the Hair

Erika shared the story of her hair, which became a lighthearted moment in an otherwise emotional conversation. Growing up, she loved sports—she started playing basketball at age five, and her first coach was Charles Barkley, of all people, at a YMCA. His daughter was a dear friend. Erika was always active, swimming constantly, and spent time at the Boys and Girls Club since her mom worked. She was always the last kid picked up every day.

Her hair from swimming would get so ratted because she has very coarse hair, and her mom hated combing it. Her mother's solution was a bowl cut, straight across—traumatizing to this day. Now when Erika gets a trim, her hairdresser knows it's literally a fraction of her hair. She will never have hair shorter than her shoulders. Charlie loved her long hair, though, which is why she keeps it long. Her mom claimed that in Lebanese-Italian culture, you're supposed to shave your kid's head when they're two and it grows back really thick—Erika was a product of the shaved head.

Women in Sports

Given Erika's background as a strong female athlete who played college basketball on scholarship, Kelly asked her position on men playing in women's sports, especially in light of Megan Rapinoe's recent comments dismissing concerns. Erika was direct: What's the point of female sports if men can play? As a point guard who knew her strengths, she always shot the three-pointer because she hated driving the lane against someone who's six-foot-seven.

Now as a mom watching her daughter compete, she understands that while life isn't fair, certain things are really special—and women's sports is one of them. Some people look down on women's sports, but those girls have worked so hard for their positions. To have it taken away by someone who couldn't rank in their own sport and field is demoralizing. It also weighs on the whole topic of being a woman, being proud to be a woman, being proud to be a strong female athlete.

The issue isn't just about fairness or safety—it's about the glorious feeling of accomplishment. If women are playing against biological boys, they'll never have that feeling of crossing the finish line first or making the game-winning shot because it's always going to go to a man. That glorious feeling of winning is something every young woman deserves to experience.

Charlie's Final Book

Erika brought Charlie's last book to the interview: Stop in the Name of God. She had taken the dust cover off because she carries his book everywhere. It took Charlie a year and a half to write, and when Erika reads it, she discovers things she didn't even know he knew. The overarching theme is the power of honoring the Sabbath and the importance of rest.

Erika also brought one of Charlie's journals because she wanted to share something deeply personal. She explained that just as the Bible is the living word of God where you see the Lord in technicolor, reading Charlie's journals and this book makes it feel like he's still fully present. That's what's so powerful about this book—it's Charlie's voice still speaking.

She watched her husband transform into an even more amazing version of himself when he started honoring the Sabbath and taking rest seriously. Looking back now, knowing this was his last book and that he had mastered what it means to rest with the Lord, it feels full circle. He's now in the ultimate Sabbath, resting in heaven.

Jesus Slept, Elijah Slept, and So Can You

Charlie finished writing the book in June or July, before his death. Erika had read it before, but reading it in book format rather than email format was a completely different experience. She chose to read a passage titled "Jesus Slept, Elijah Slept, and So Can You" because Charlie's adrenaline was always going and it was hard for him to turn his brain off at night—hence the 2 a.m. snack sessions with olives and bananas (not together).

Charlie only allowed himself mint chocolate chip ice cream twice a year: Fourth of July and his birthday. No ice cream any other day. His self-control and self-discipline were phenomenal. When Erika was pregnant, 70% of the reason no one saw her was because of security concerns, but the other 30% was because she was hungry and staying home with Charlie bringing her whatever she craved—In-N-Out burgers animal style, hot fudge sundaes, chocolate shakes—no questions asked. He loved driving around at night and would come home excited to watch her eat, living vicariously through her. Erika got up to 190 pounds and joked she'd weigh more than him by the end of the pregnancy while he sat there eating his olives.

Charlie was biohacking-focused, eating clean because he needed to operate as if he was going to war every single day. He couldn't operate on fast food. That's why he never drank and maintained such discipline—not from a motive of being better than others, but from a motive of needing peak performance for his mission.

The Passage on Sleep

Erika read from Charlie's book: "So start tonight. Close the laptop. Power down the phone. Let the dishes wait. Pull the shades. Dim the lights. And give your body permission to do what it was created to do, to rest. Let your bed become an altar of trust. As your head touches the pillow and whisper to God, I release it all to you. You don't need to check one more email. You don't need to prove anything. You don't need to carry the weight of the world. It already has a savior and it's not you. Sleep is not a distraction from your purpose. It is part of your purpose. It is a sacred rhythm that restores your mind, heals your body, and quiets your soul. The Sabbath is your weekly reminder that you are not a machine. You are a beloved child. And children sleep well when they know their father is near. So go ahead, embrace the gift. Make your Sabbath a day not just of rest, but of sleep. Deep, joyful, and replenishing sleep. You're allowed. And more than that, you're invited. Rest isn't weakness. It's worship. And tomorrow will be better because you trusted God enough to rest today."

Charlie's Journal Entry

Since it was the Sabbath, Erika wanted to read a note Charlie wrote to himself in his journal to honor the Sabbath. In his own handwriting, he wrote: "Dear Lord, thank you for a wonderful week. Thank you for your endless protection and provision. Father God, thank you for your mercy and grace. Lord, I did better this week despite the challenges of travel. I miss my wife. It's hard to be away from her for a few days. Thank you for giving us a road map of what it means to be obedient and put Christ first. Lord, I have realized the following. The battle against the mind is Satan's playground. He dwells and prowls to destroy. The more in alignment we walk in your command and teachings, the more joy and blessing we experience. Lord, thank you for showing us the way, the truth, and the life. Thank you for blessing our organization. I pray for resolution amongst the divides that Satan is attempting. Lord, we pray for blessing for the people who feel they have been wronged. Father God, we ask for your guidance, wisdom, and direction, your comfort, and your healing. We love you, Lord. Thank you for another Sabbath, CK."

Processing Anger and Grief

Megyn Kelly admitted she feels angry hearing Charlie's words and witnessing his goodness. How could such a man be taken? The left bastardizing his memory has no idea what they're talking about—Charlie was all goodness. She asked Erika whether she'd experienced anger, particularly toward God, thinking about what the kids will miss, what Erika got cheated out of, what Charlie will miss.

Erika's response was powerful: The enemy would love for her to be angry. He would love it because it would distract her from building what Charlie entrusted to her—raising their babies, running Turning Point, being there for the team, being there for the future. If she had any amount of anger in her heart and spirit, the Lord would not be able to use her. Every single day, just like Charlie did when he stood on stage saying "Here I am, Lord, use me," Erika does the same. If she had that anger providing a foothold for the enemy, God wouldn't be able to use her.

Forgiveness as Action

At Charlie's memorial, Erika had that extraordinary moment where she forgave the accused killer. Megyn Kelly called it the most powerful, strongest thing she'd ever seen anybody do. Someone later explained to Kelly that "forgiveness is an action, not an emotion," which helped her understand how it was possible.

Kelly asked what Erika would say to the accused shooter or his parents if she could speak to them. Would it be anger? Sympathy? Erika's answer was striking: It wouldn't be sympathy or anger. Anything she could ever wish upon him or that family would pale in comparison to the justice of God. She would look at them and think, "I'm so glad I'm not you. I am so glad I'm not you, and I pray that you figure out a way to be right with the Lord." Their God is sovereign but also very just. Erika serves a just-filled God, so she really has nothing to say to any of them.

The Irony of the Accused Shooter

Erika pointed out the irony that the accused shooter is exactly the kind of person Charlie dedicated his life to helping. Charlie wanted to "save the Lost Boys of the West"—it was at the top of his to-do list, a piece of paper still on his desk at the office. These were disaffected young men who had been forgotten by the system or worse—remembered and told they're terrible and to blame for everything. Those messages have materially and seriously affected the health and mental well-being of an entire generation of young men who desperately need Turning Point.

The Mission Moving Forward

Charlie was focused on the family, not the government raising kids. He wanted to empower not only students but also parents. Erika pointed out that Megyn Kelly had done this beautifully, raising her children with truth and understanding of the importance of loving America. Even Kelly's children started Turning Point chapters because she as a parent saw how important that was.

That's what's special about Turning Point USA—events like AmericaFest are family-oriented. The organization isn't trying to raise anyone's kids; they're trying to reaffirm what parents have been telling their children all along. They're showing young people there's a space for them, a place for civil discourse, debates, dialogue, and freedom of speech. The role is to save Western civilization while inspiring parents to show their kids what true north is, then providing a home at Turning Point to fuel that even more.

Advice for Dating and Relationships

Charlie spoke very frankly to young men, including memorable dating advice about paying on the first date when courting a woman. Megyn Kelly asked Erika for the flip side—advice to young women who get asked out by young men.

Erika's advice was clear: Stay away from hookup culture. Don't just date to date. If a guy wants to take you to drinks instead of dinner, that's a huge red flag. If they don't want to go to church with you and have brunch afterwards, another huge red flag. Don't introduce them to your family until you know without a shadow of a doubt that might be the man you're going to marry. Don't treat your boyfriend like your husband or your boyfriend like your fiancé—treat them like your boyfriend, your fiancé like your fiancé, and your husband like your husband.

When you stay focused on the Lord and the lane He has you in—a stream of significance—keep swimming in that. The man who's supposed to be with you won't detract you from the Lord; he'll enhance your focus on the Lord. He'll be there to build with you, love you, be there for your family. He won't tear you away from your family or challenge your beliefs in a way that makes you question the Lord and what you know in your heart to be true. He'll love you so well, just like Charlie did, and be a complement to you in such a beautiful way. You'll be equally yoked where you're not competing or striving—the two of you are in lockstep, building something beautiful for the kingdom. And a quick addendum: don't be a feminist.

Turning Point's Role in Elections

Turning Point USA played a massive role in the past presidential election. When Kelly asked about plans for the 2026 midterms and especially 2028, suggesting Turning Point get behind JD Vance, Erika brought the conversation back to the present. She wanted to start with midterms first before jumping to 2028 and to enjoy the fact that Donald Trump is in office—they worked really hard to make that happen, and Charlie did too.

Charlie built a machine, and the secret sauce was that he loved the students and empowered them to know they could make a difference and how important voting was. In pictures from when he first started Turning Point USA, he was completely bought into his own mission—not in an office cubicle while students were at events, but there wearing his lanyard with his name tag and big "Gov Sucks" and "Socialism Sucks" buttons.

Charlie knew the unsexy work was what it took to save elections: tennis shoes and clipboards, speaking to neighbors, knocking on doors, being involved with the community, not being afraid to explain why you believe what you believe. Nothing is changing at Turning Point USA or Turning Point Action—if anything, it's continuing to grow. The numbers of chapters and churches have been phenomenal, with a focus on quality over quantity.

The Turning Point Action War Room

The 2026 midterms will focus heavily on Arizona, their home state. Erika described the Turning Point Action building on their campus as one of her favorite places because she feels Charlie's heartbeat there from a strategy standpoint. It's like a war room with polling, strategy laid out, and door knockers. It's powerful to witness, and she can see Charlie saying "Knock on that one more door. One more door. Talk to that neighbor one more time." The team is thrilled to continue making massive impacts in upcoming elections, and Erika would bet on the team Charlie built any day.

Relationships with Trump and JD Vance

Charlie and President Trump had a really special relationship—sometimes fatherly and son-like, other times characterized by mutual deep respect for building. Trump understood building in Manhattan and around the world architecturally, while Charlie understood building with Turning Point USA. Charlie's ability to see things other people couldn't, especially in other people, was something Trump appreciated.

What Charlie really admired about President Trump was his mission focus and laser focus. Charlie was the same way. He admired the president's tenacity to keep going, especially after January 6 when no one wanted anything to do with him. Charlie said "I got your back" and meant it. Those moments really put into perspective the human aspect of politics—beyond the rabbit hole of slandering someone, at the end of the day, everyone is just doing their best with the one life they have.

The president was good to Charlie, not looking down at him but appreciating his ability to mobilize youth and share the message of how amazing America is. Yes, the country has faults—anything with humans has faults because we're all sinful—but Trump appreciated that Charlie was always there for him, and he was always there for Charlie. The president has always had a soft spot in Erika's heart because he wasn't just the president to her husband; he was a friend. JD and Usha Vance have also been incredibly supportive throughout everything.

Supporting JD Vance in 2028

One of the last conversations Erika and Charlie had was about how intentional he was about supporting JD Vance for 2028. Charlie was totally behind JD and was largely responsible for Trump picking him as vice president. When Kelly asked about throwing the full weight of Turning Point behind JD in about three years, Erika confirmed it's already in the works—Charlie was very direct about it.

Charlie's Conservative Vision

Charlie said on record that "Erika is way more conservative than I am." When Kelly asked how so, Erika explained they were always in alignment on most things. In the beginning, Andrew Kolvet could attest, there were certain areas where she had different viewpoints—particularly on immigration and student visa-related topics. Charlie would consider her perspective and sometimes say "I see that point." But beyond that, they were in lockstep on virtually everything. She was just a little more direct about things behind the scenes.

For anyone hoping Turning Point would go "conservative light" now that Erika is leading, she made it crystal clear: that's not happening. Turning Point USA is not becoming feminized. They have a great team, a phenomenal group of people. What's amazing about Turning Point is what happened after Charlie's death—there was no mass firing, no mass exodus, no internal issues. Everyone grieved, but they pulled off an unbelievable memorial service. That's not normal; it's the Holy Spirit moving within the organization.

The Strength of the Organization

Now more than ever, Erika sees the strength of the organization because people aren't just there to write emails. That's why the age of individuals working at the office skews young—Charlie didn't care if you went to college. He actually preferred that you didn't, and he'd hire people right out of high school. The organization is healthy, the culture is healthy, and the chapters, students, field program, Charlie Kirk show, events team, and everyone part of the organization goes back to that tapestry metaphor—there are a bunch of threads, but woven together, the organization is phenomenal.

Turning Point is not weakening or becoming feminized. If anything, they're being more emboldened and will carry on Charlie's legacy in a way no one could have imagined. They'll make it everything he could have ever dreamed of and more.

A Final Request

Megyn Kelly told Erika to let everyone know if she needs anything. Erika's answer was simple: prayers. Prayers would mean everything—for wisdom, discernment, and protection. Pray for the country, for leaders, for people you don't agree with. You don't have to like them, but pray for them. Pray the Lord softens their hearts. Pray that the Lord's will be done and justice always prevails.
