Gary Melton identifies this object as a magnetic clip that comes with road microphones. He demonstrates with his own equipment, explaining that content creators often place the magnet on the outside of clothing and the microphone on the inside to maintain a lower profile during filming.
Gary Melton acknowledges that the situation becomes confusing during the moment Charlie is shot. In slow-motion footage, the rectangle appears visible for a few frames, then disappears, crosses his neck, and seems to transform into the wound. However, Gary Melton attributes this to a strange coincidence rather than evidence of manipulation.
The technical explanation centers on the limitations of smartphone cameras. Most phones record at 24, 30, 60, or 120 frames per second, with some iPhone Pro models reaching 240 frames per second, though people rarely use that setting. When video is slowed down in editing software, the software doesn't create new frames—it simply displays each existing frame for a longer duration.
Gary Melton demonstrates frame-by-frame analysis, showing how a single image remains unchanged for 16-17 consecutive frames. This means significant information is lost between frames, making it impossible to track fast-moving objects accurately. The magnetic clip jumps from one position to another without capturing the movement in between. He explains that if the video had been recorded at 120 frames per second, tracking the object's trajectory would be much easier, with frames captured at each point along its path.
The Man in the White Hat Giving Hand Signals
The second conspiracy theory focuses on a man wearing a white polo shirt and white hat, holding a phone, who allegedly gives hand signals just before the shooting. Gary Melton addresses the numerous emails he received about this individual's suspicious behavior.
To investigate this claim, Gary Melton references a video from Alisa Childers's Instagram account. He notes that he had to remove the audio from the clip to avoid copyright strikes due to background music. In the video, Childers directly addresses the conspiracy theory, identifying the man in question as Frank Turek, a friend of hers and a mentor to Charlie Kirk.
According to Childers, Frank Turek is a man of faith and honor who had a close relationship with Charlie Kirk. She emphasizes that Frank mentored Charlie, cared deeply about him, and was the one who invited Charlie to participate in the event where the shooting occurred. Childers provides additional context about their relationship in her full video.
Gary Melton conducted his own research on Frank Turek and found that everything checks out. Turek has extensive content featuring Charlie Kirk, demonstrating that they clearly knew each other well and spent significant time together. Based on this evidence, Gary Melton concludes that it's highly improbable—even implausible—that Turek was involved in any assassination plot against Charlie Kirk. However, he encourages viewers to watch Childers's video and examine the information themselves before drawing final conclusions.
The Security Detail Member With a Hidden Weapon
The third conspiracy theory involves a man standing to Charlie Kirk's right, wearing a bluish-greenish shirt with gray hair and sunglasses. Viewers noticed he has something in his hand under his arm, leading to speculation ranging from claims of a gun to a zip gun, with some suggesting he was the actual shooter.
Gary Melton conducts a detailed frame-by-frame analysis of the footage, zooming in on the man and the object under his arm. He reasons that if it were any projectile-producing device, there should be visible movement, recoil, or some physical reaction when fired. Gary Melton pauses the video at the exact moment Charlie is first struck, then reviews the footage one frame at a time in reverse.
The analysis reveals no movement whatsoever. There is no recoil, no physical reaction, nothing that would indicate a weapon being discharged. Gary Melton emphasizes this point by playing through the critical moment again—the instant Charlie is struck—and demonstrates that whatever is underneath the man's shirt remains completely stationary.
Beyond the technical analysis, Gary Melton points out the logical flaws in this theory. The scenario would require a member of Charlie's security detail to stand within a couple of feet of him, in full view of everyone present, carry a gun held underneath his armpit, and then assassinate Charlie Kirk without even looking, all in front of numerous witnesses. Gary Melton argues that if he were planning such an operation, the idea that someone could pull off an assassination in these circumstances without being seen or suspected would be ludicrous. He concludes that this theory has no merit.

[00:01] hope everybody out there is having a
[00:02] great Sunday or whatever day that you're
[00:04] watching this. Uh right now it's Sunday,
[00:06] September 14th, and last night we did a
[00:09] joint live stream with Nate from VFT.
[00:13] And it was a I think it was a really
[00:14] good and productive live stream. We
[00:16] spent a lot of time bouncing ideas off
[00:18] of each other, um sanity checking one
[00:21] another, and then of course spent a lot
[00:22] of time answering questions from
[00:24] viewers, reading their comments. It was
[00:27] it was it was good. And one of the
[00:28] things that I did during that was
[00:30] basically I gave out an email address
[00:32] said, "Hey, if anybody has additional
[00:34] information or footage or video or
[00:35] whatever else, please send it to us and
[00:38] uh we had a really really strong
[00:40] response, right? And I really appreciate
[00:42] everybody that sent us video. Uh we got
[00:44] a lot of new video. I'm still going
[00:45] through it. Even some of the video I
[00:48] already had, I got much better and
[00:50] higher resolutions, you know, versions
[00:52] of that video. So that was extremely
[00:53] helpful, too. But we also got a lot of
[00:56] emails on three particular subjects or
[01:01] conspiracy theories that people are
[01:03] concerned about. These are all three
[01:05] kind of separate incidents that are
[01:07] being widely discussed in social media.
[01:09] There's lots of content circulating
[01:11] around social media about them. The
[01:12] reason I want to address these three
[01:14] conspiracy theories, um, I think it's
[01:17] really important that we stay on track,
[01:18] right? I think there's a lot of people
[01:19] out there that intentionally try to
[01:21] distract us for political reasons or
[01:23] confuse people. Then I think there's a
[01:25] whole element of people out there that
[01:26] are just going to post whatever for for
[01:28] clicks and views. And then there are of
[01:30] course people that are posting things in
[01:31] good faith and it's just incorrect. But
[01:33] regardless, the end result is that we
[01:37] start chasing things down that shouldn't
[01:38] that are kind of a waste of time. It
[01:40] distracts us. It confuses everybody. and
[01:43] there's some opportunity loss when we
[01:44] could be directing people and paying
[01:46] attention to things that are possibly
[01:48] more important. So, I want to go through
[01:50] these and the first one is probably the
[01:51] easiest one to explain and that is the
[01:53] floating dot or I've seen it referenced
[01:55] as the AI dot. So, if you look right
[01:57] here on Charlie Kirk's shirt, we see
[02:00] this black rectangle. And as a matter of
[02:02] fact, if you go and look at a lot of his
[02:05] other content, you'll see the exact same
[02:06] black rectangle. What that is is I think
[02:09] it's exactly this, by the way. All
[02:12] right. This is a magnetic clip. It comes
[02:14] with these road microphones. And because
[02:17] it's larger and has a little bit more
[02:19] surface area, even with some of these
[02:20] other small mics, I'll continue to use
[02:22] this one. But we see that they're in
[02:24] place. Oh, and and if you're wondering,
[02:26] a lot of times content creators, they
[02:29] will put the magnet on the outside and
[02:32] the microphone on the inside. That way,
[02:34] viewers and people that you're talking
[02:35] to aren't distracted by this large
[02:36] device. It's just a little bit lower
[02:38] profile and a little more inconspicuous.
[02:40] So, a lot of people will use them in
[02:42] that manner. Now, I know things get
[02:43] weird with that when it comes to the
[02:46] moment that Charlie Kirk is shot and
[02:49] that's because we see it there and the
[02:51] slow motion suddenly we see it for a few
[02:53] frames and then we don't see it anymore
[02:55] and then it crosses his neck and it
[02:58] almost looks like that this rectangle
[03:01] turns into the wound on Charlie's neck.
[03:04] I think that is just a really strange
[03:06] coincidence. You know, when you have
[03:08] these situations where people are
[03:09] filming on these not really high quality
[03:12] cameras on on their cell phones and a
[03:14] very low frame rate and you're dealing
[03:16] with something like a gunshot that
[03:18] rapidly accelerates everything involved,
[03:21] it gets a little hard to track. One
[03:23] thing that you need to understand is
[03:24] that these phones film in typically 24
[03:27] frames. Probably the most common is 30
[03:29] frames, 60 frames, or 120 frames. That's
[03:31] usually the limit. I think the iPhone
[03:32] Pro will do like 240 frames, but people
[03:35] don't go around filming in that high
[03:36] frame rate. So, unfortunately, when we
[03:39] take a a snippet of film or video and
[03:43] then we slow it down in some sort of
[03:45] editing software, it doesn't actually
[03:48] slow this down. So, this is 30 frames
[03:50] per second. So, what it'll do is
[03:52] basically just take that one frame and
[03:55] show you that one frame for a longer
[03:56] amount of time. So, a lot of data is
[03:59] lost. And this is a great example of
[04:01] this. So every time I click this arrow
[04:03] forward, it's moving forward one frame
[04:05] at a time. So I'm looking at the same
[04:07] picture. Nothing's moving for 1 2 3 4 5
[04:11] 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17
[04:16] 16 or 17 frames. That was one picture.
[04:20] So a lot of information. It jumped from
[04:22] right here to right here. So that
[04:24] information in between us tracking that
[04:26] object, we lose all that. And I think it
[04:29] just happens to be a crazy coincidence
[04:31] that the that the path of this happens
[04:34] to coincide with suddenly his wound
[04:37] appearing. And I know a lot of people
[04:38] are saying, you know, this basically
[04:40] turns into his wound. That's just not
[04:41] the case. When you're dealing with
[04:43] something as dynamic and as fast as the
[04:47] impact of a bullet and you're trying to
[04:48] parse through and see what's what's
[04:50] going on and you're using these to do
[04:53] that, these devices are just wholly
[04:54] inadequate when it comes to trying to
[04:56] get the level of fidelity that we want.
[04:58] Now, if this video was taken in 120
[05:01] frames per second, I think we'd be able
[05:03] to track this all the way over or
[05:06] wherever it goes, but we would be able
[05:07] to track this because we're getting 120
[05:09] frames per second. So instead of as this
[05:12] thing flies, we get a frame of it here,
[05:13] a frame of it here, frame of it here,
[05:15] we' be able to track that trajectory
[05:17] very easily and be able to see where
[05:19] that's going. So hopefully that makes
[05:20] sense. This is what it is. I know some
[05:22] things get weird with the dynamics
[05:24] involved in the situation, but I think
[05:27] that's let me know if you think that's a
[05:29] good explanation. All right, the next
[05:30] subject that I got a ton of emails on
[05:32] was this guy right here. You know, he's
[05:34] wearing that white polo shirt. He's
[05:35] holding a phone. He's got that white hat
[05:37] on. And everyone is basically saying,
[05:40] "Hey, look, this guy gives some hand
[05:42] signals right before the shot." And you
[05:44] can see it.
[05:46] >> There we go.
[05:48] >> And then moments later,
[05:50] >> all right, I'm not even going to show
[05:51] it. Make sure that we don't get censored
[05:53] here. Yesterday, I came across this
[05:54] video that I'm going to show you. Um,
[05:56] and you tell me what you think. So, you
[05:58] can go watch the unedited version of
[05:59] this video on Alisa Childers's
[06:01] Instagram. Uh, unfortunately when she
[06:05] made this video, there was a bunch of
[06:06] background music and if I didn't remove
[06:08] the audio, we would get a copyright
[06:11] strike. So, I'll play this. She says, "I
[06:14] want to address a conspiracy theory
[06:16] that's been going around and that is
[06:19] that there is a man in a white hat and
[06:20] white t-shirt standing just off of
[06:23] Charlie just as he was shot." And this
[06:25] man adjusts his hat and then scratches
[06:27] his cheek. And there are conspiracy
[06:29] theorists all over the social media and
[06:31] all over the internet that are saying
[06:33] that man is giving signals to the
[06:36] sniper. But friends, I want to share the
[06:38] truth with you today. The man in the
[06:40] white hat and the white shirt is my
[06:41] friend Frank Turk. Frank Turk is a man
[06:44] of God. He's an honorable man. He was
[06:47] close friends with Charlie. Charlie
[06:48] meant a lot to Frank. Frank mentored
[06:50] Charlie. He loved Charlie and he invited
[06:53] him to take part in that event with
[06:55] Charlie. She goes on to give a lot more
[06:57] context and more information regarding
[06:59] Charlie and Frank's relationship. If
[07:02] you're suspicious of this gentleman, I
[07:04] highly recommend you go watch that video
[07:06] before you come to any final
[07:07] conclusions. I've looked up Frank Turk.
[07:11] Everything checks out. He has lots and
[07:13] lots of content with Charlie. They
[07:14] clearly knew each other well. They
[07:16] clearly spent a lot of time together.
[07:17] After watching all that, I think it's
[07:19] highly improbable, quite frankly
[07:21] implausible that he was involved in, you
[07:24] know, any assassination plot of Charlie
[07:27] Kirk. But, um, that's for you to decide.
[07:29] Go check out that information and, uh,
[07:31] tell me what you think about that. The
[07:32] last one that we're going to address
[07:33] right here involves the man to Charlie
[07:36] Kirk's right. He's wearing that bluish
[07:38] greenish shirt, gray hair, has
[07:40] sunglasses on. And I want you to notice
[07:43] right here where he has something in his
[07:46] hand under his arm. I've heard and seen
[07:48] lots of content on this already saying
[07:51] that that was everything from some sort

[07:59] through and see what kind of conclusion
[08:02] or evidence we can find of that. So, we
[08:04] can see right here is where Charlie is
[08:07] first struck. And I'm going to go ahead
[08:09] and zoom in
[08:11] on that man and whatever he has
[08:15] underneath his arm. So, if it was any
[08:17] sort of projectile producing device, you
[08:20] would think we would see some sort of
[08:22] movement, some recoil, we'd see him move
[08:24] or something like that. I'm going to
[08:25] stop right here where Charlie was first
[08:27] struck. And now we're just going to go
[08:28] back one frame at a time
[08:31] and see if we see any movement
[08:34] whatsoever.
[08:36] And there's nothing. I'm moving forward.
[08:37] Boom. He struck. Nothing happens. There
[08:40] is no movement with
[08:44] whatever is underneath that guy's shirt.
[08:46] And on top of that, the idea that we're
[08:47] going to have a guy that's part of his
[08:49] security detail that's standing right
[08:51] next to Charlie within, you know, a
[08:53] couple of feet, all eyes on him. He's
[08:55] gonna carry a gun, hold it underneath
[08:57] his armpit, and then without even
[08:59] looking, he's going to assassinate
[09:01] Charlie Kirk right there in front of
[09:03] everybody. So, if I was in charge of
[09:05] that operation, somebody came and
[09:07] briefed me, I'm like, "Wait, what?
[09:09] You're telling me that you are going to
[09:10] pull off this assassination in front of
[09:12] everybody and somehow no one's going to
[09:16] see you or suspect you?" I think that
[09:18] was ludicrous. And I think that this
[09:20] theory in general just has no merit. So,

[09:32] um potential suspicious things going on
[09:35] with all of this. One is this footage
