Multi-Day Investigation in Orem, Utah
Gray Hughes of Gray Hughes Investigates recently completed a comprehensive field investigation in Orem, Utah, traveling from Sunday through Wednesday to document and analyze evidence related to an incident involving Tyler Robinson. Sunday and Wednesday served as travel days, while Monday and Tuesday were dedicated to intensive on-site investigation and documentation.
On Monday, Hughes walked through the neighborhoods surrounding the campus area, retracing Tyler Robinson's path and familiarizing himself with the layout of the location. This initial reconnaissance provided essential context for understanding the geography and camera placement throughout the area.
Collaborative Investigation with Paramount Tactical
On Tuesday, Hughes focused on the specific area where the event took place, extensively documenting various walkways using his 360-degree camera. He collaborated with Gary from Paramount Tactical and his friend Peter, who joined the investigation effort. The team met at Denny's before driving to the campus location together.
The investigation approach allowed each investigator to work independently while periodically regrouping to discuss findings and coordinate next steps. Hughes expressed appreciation for working with Gary and Peter, describing them as "really cool dudes" and expressing interest in future collaborations.
Previously Unreleased Surveillance Footage
The centerpiece of Hughes' investigation is surveillance footage that captures more comprehensive views than what was initially released by media outlets. Hughes specifically critiques TMZ's approach, stating they "just like to quickly throw something out there so they can be first and not put out the accurate information."
The surveillance footage shows two critical elements:
- A Dodge Challenger vehicle driving past at approximately 8:23
- Tyler Robinson walking in the same direction at approximately 9:57 or 9:58
Hughes presents this footage in multiple formats: first at normal speed showing the full frame without zooming, then following the vehicle's movement, then tracking Tyler Robinson as he walks by, and finally at 50% speed to allow viewers to examine details more carefully.
Physical Evidence and Camera Placement Analysis
During his investigation, Hughes discovered what he describes as "finger drag marks" captured in footage he recorded by extending his Insta 360 camera upward. He plans to release a dedicated video explaining precisely when these marks appeared based on the surveillance footage timeline.
Hughes also placed a camera directly beside one of the surveillance cameras at the location to better understand the perspective and coverage area. This methodical approach to understanding camera angles and coverage zones demonstrates the thoroughness of his investigative process.
Upcoming Analysis and Future Content
Hughes indicates he has "a ton of other footage" and "a lot of stuff to go over" from his time at the location. He acknowledges that while on the road, he lacked access to his full suite of programs and tools needed for detailed analysis, but promises comprehensive breakdowns in upcoming videos.
The investigator emphasizes that viewers should watch the surveillance footage carefully to see if they can notice anything unusual in the vehicle or in Tyler Robinson's behavior as he walks past the camera.

[00:14] Hello, this is Gray Hughes of Grey
[00:16] Hughes Investigates on YouTube. Please
[00:19] hit that like button, share the video,
[00:21] and subscribe if you like the content,
[00:23] but really hit that like button for me.
[00:25] I'd really appreciate it. As you're
[00:27] aware, I was out in Orm, Utah from
[00:30] Sunday to Wednesday. Sunday and
[00:32] Wednesday were travel days. So on
[00:35] Monday, I walked around the
[00:38] neighborhoods and onto the campus and
[00:41] then, you know, basically followed Tyler
[00:44] Robinson's path. And on Tuesday, I went
[00:47] down into the area where the event
[00:50] actually took place. went around in all
[00:52] the different walkways and filmed with
[00:54] my 360 degree camera and Gary from
[00:58] Paramount Tactical and Peter were there
[01:01] uh his friend that came with him and we
[01:05] uh walked around and filmed a lot of
[01:07] different things. We I think we met up
[01:09] over at Denny's
[01:11] and then we drove over to the campus and
[01:14] filmed a whole bunch of different
[01:15] things. Uh we kind of just did our own
[01:16] thing when we got there. some of the
[01:18] stuff overlaps obviously and then we'd
[01:21] kind of meet up and talk about what
[01:23] we're going to do next, etc.
[01:26] And that was really cool. It was great
[01:28] meeting uh Gary from Paramount Tactical
[01:31] and his friend Peter. Uh really cool
[01:34] dudes, both of them. And uh it' be great
[01:37] to do more with them in the future. All
[01:40] right. So, when I was there, um, I
[01:44] started the route that Tyler Robinson
[01:47] took on his dry run. And that's in this
[01:50] shot right here. Later on, we see Tyler
[01:52] Robinson walking by, and then we see the
[01:55] vehicle, the Dodge Challenger driving
[01:58] by. However, I got much more of the
[02:01] footage, so we're going to be putting
[02:02] that out in this video. Now, what I'm
[02:05] not going to be talking while it's
[02:06] playing, but it's going to play
[02:10] like this where there's no zooming in at
[02:13] all. It's just going to be a full
[02:15] screen. So, there'll be another one
[02:16] where I'm following the vehicle and then
[02:19] following Tyler Robinson.
[02:22] And then there's another camera actually
[02:23] that picks him up. It's not a ton of
[02:25] video, but it's just like you can see
[02:27] him walking by in that footage. So, I
[02:29] have all of the surveillance footage,
[02:32] you know, not the portions that TMZ put
[02:34] out. They just like to quickly throw
[02:36] something out there so they can be first
[02:38] and not put out the accurate
[02:39] information. And then I'll at the end
[02:42] I'll play it in slow motion, 50% speed,
[02:44] so you can watch the whole thing as it
[02:48] transpires and see if you can notice
[02:50] anything in the vehicle or when Tyler
[02:53] Robinson is walking by. Okay? So, I'm
[02:55] not going to be saying anything while
[02:57] this is playing and then I'll comment at
[03:00] the end. But, uh, while you're watching
[03:02] it, if you could hit that like button
[03:03] for me, I'd really appreciate it. And
[03:06] let's get started on the surveillance
[03:08] footage right now.
[12:23] All right. Well, thank you all very much
[12:25] for watching. Really appreciate it. As
[12:27] we saw, you could see the Dodge
[12:30] Challenger driving this direction at
[12:31] around 8:23.
[12:33] And then around 957 or 958, we see Tyler
[12:38] Robinson walking in this direction. Now,
[12:41] I have a ton of other footage out there
[12:43] and a lot of stuff to go over and figure
[12:45] out and we'll be doing that in the near
[12:48] future in videos. For example, I put out
[12:51] the video. Um, I don't know why I did
[12:53] it, but I reached up in the air with
[12:56] the, you know, extension on my Insta 360
[12:59] and I show some fingerprints and I'm
[13:01] going to put out a video that, uh, it's
[13:04] actually like finger drag marks and then
[13:05] I'll put out a video describing
[13:08] precisely
[13:09] when those happened in the surveillance
[13:13] footage. All right. I tried to do
[13:15] something like that when I was on the
[13:16] road, but I just don't have access to
[13:19] all the different uh programs and the
[13:23] ability to easily do that while out on
[13:25] the road. So, we'll be doing that. I
[13:27] also have a camera that I placed right
[13:29] by the surveillance camera that's right
[13:32] there. Walked all around, figured a lot
[13:34] of things out, I believe, and we'll be
[13:37] going over that in videos coming up. So,
[13:40] make sure to subscribe to my channel and
[13:42] hit that like button. But when you
[13:43] subscribe to the channel, hit that
[13:45] notification bell and then select all
[13:48] videos. All right, I'd really appreciate
[13:49] it. So, thank you all very much for
[13:51] watching and as I always say, until next
[13:54] time, be safe out there.
