Kaitlin Bennett: 'All college students are the same level of dumb'

[00:00] she's wearing a t shirt

[00:02] that says, don't touch me,

[00:03] kitten. That's what her

[00:04] shirt said. Journalist

[00:05] Caitlin Bennett has been

[00:06] talking to college

[00:07] students for weeks. She

[00:07] joins us now. Caitlin,

[00:08] great to have you on. Good

[00:10] job. I want to show

[00:11] everyone at home the

[00:12] challenge that you then

[00:14] offered that woman. Take a

[00:15] look. I have a challenge

[00:18] for you. We will buy you a

[00:19] ticket. A one way ticket

[00:21] to Iran. We really. Would.

[00:22] You go? Would you take

[00:24] that? Yeah. Are you part

[00:26] of the LGBTQ community at

[00:27] all? Do you want to go

[00:29] with her? Do you want to

[00:30] bring your boyfriend? Yeah,

[00:31] sure. Why not? Okay. Very

[00:33] cool. Okay. Caitlin, are

[00:34] they going to Iran at some

[00:35] point? Well, we did raise

[00:37] the money. We raised more

[00:39] than enough to cover three

[00:41] tickets to go to Iran. And

[00:43] she blocked me on

[00:44] Instagram. And so I have

[00:45] my friends reaching out

[00:47] trying to give her these

[00:48] tickets. She's not

[00:50] responding. So I don't

[00:51] know, maybe she lied to me.

[00:53] Yeah. I mean, she can't go

[00:55] right now, but when the

[00:57] war ends, maybe she'll

[00:58] take you up on that one

[01:00] more. This is the same

[01:01] student, and she also, I

[01:02] guess she's a nursing

[01:03] student. Or she claims

[01:04] that she's a nurse. But

[01:07] this is what happened

[01:08] right after that. Take a

[01:09] look. I think women have

[01:12] their right to choose

[01:14] about where they want to

[01:15] live and about what they

[01:16] want to follow in Iran, in

[01:18] Iran. Yeah, yeah. I think

[01:20] that people have

[01:22] misconceptions about

[01:22] religion, especially with

[01:24] Muslims and Islamic

[01:25] regions. You're making me

[01:26] feel really oppressed,

[01:27] like it's making me

[01:29] mentally and everything. I

[01:30] think I have to take my

[01:31] meds now. What? What

[01:33] happened? What? She felt

[01:34] oppressed. She was trying

[01:37] to, like, meme and get me

[01:39] here. I don't know, she

[01:41] kept talking about wanting

[01:42] to hold my hand and kiss

[01:43] me and stuff, and I had to

[01:45] shut that down as well,

[01:46] because I'm not interested

[01:47] in that. Even though in

[01:48] America it's totally legal,

[01:50] in Iran it's not. It was

[01:51] so bizarre. She was weird.

[01:53] Is there do you think just

[01:54] you've spoken to so many

[01:55] students on these campuses?

[01:57] Is there some sort of

[01:58] disconnect between that

[01:59] age group and like,

[02:01] reality and what's

[02:02] actually going on? Yeah,

[02:04] it's surprising. I've been

[02:05] doing this for seven years,

[02:06] and every time I go back

[02:08] to a campus, no matter how

[02:10] many, how many years it's

[02:12] been, they are always the

[02:14] same level of dumb. It's

[02:16] honestly astonishing that

[02:18] the generations are not

[02:19] getting smarter. It's the

[02:21] same level of dumb on

[02:22] these college campuses. I

[02:23] mean, I feel like, you

[02:24] know, every generation

[02:25] probably says that about

[02:26] the generation before them.

[02:28] But like, I don't know, I

[02:30] don't think I would have

[02:31] been like that, I hope not.

[02:33] Here's another one. You

[02:34] asked students about ID in

[02:35] the state of Florida,

[02:36] where you need ID to vote.

[02:37] No one seemed to have an

[02:39] issue. Take a look. Do you

[02:41] have an ID? Don't show it.

[02:43] Don't show it to the

[02:44] camera. But you have one,

[02:45] right? Yeah. Okay. All

[02:46] right. Do you have an ID?

[02:48] Yeah. Okay. All right. Who

[02:49] else do you have an ID? I

[02:51] have what do you have an

[02:52] ID? Do I have an ID like a

[02:54] driver's license? Yeah,

[02:55] yeah. Do you have an ID? I

[02:57] have an ID, you have an ID?

[02:58] Okay. All right. Do you

[03:00] have an ID? I do, you do

[03:01] have an ID. Okay. Very

[03:03] cool. Why do you think the

[03:04] Democrats are saying that

[03:05] brown people have a hard

[03:06] time obtaining ID in some

[03:08] way? They said that about

[03:09] me. Brown person. That's

[03:11] pretty racist. Okay, just

[03:14] take us through that

[03:14] because it was all

[03:15] minorities that you were

[03:16] talking to right there.

[03:17] Everybody had ID it's like

[03:18] they didn't even realize

[03:19] that was an issue. Yeah, I

[03:21] was told that that if

[03:23] you're not white, you

[03:24] can't get an ID. Sorry. If

[03:26] you hear my child in the

[03:28] background. No, no, don't

[03:28] worry about it. I didn't.

[03:30] I'm mostly just a stay at

[03:32] home mom with the YouTube

[03:33] channel on the side. And

[03:34] most people don't know

[03:35] that about me. That's okay.

[03:38] Basically, you know,

[03:39] they're actually more

[03:40] well-behaved than college

[03:41] students are these days,

[03:42] if you can believe it or

[03:44] not. Yes, but I was told

[03:46] that any person who was

[03:47] not white can't obtain a

[03:49] voter ID or an ID in

[03:51] general. And so I just

[03:52] went ahead and asked all

[03:53] the students around me who

[03:54] were not white, and 100%

[03:56] of them had an ID.

[03:58] Remarkable. Doesn't

[03:58] surprise me real quick.

[03:59] Where are you going next?

[04:00] What school? Well, first

[04:03] I'm going to go take care

[04:04] of my child who is

[04:05] screaming in the

[04:06] background. And then, I

[04:07] don't know, maybe we've

[04:08] got to do a little tour

[04:09] around Florida. I usually

[04:11] go to USF, but, well,

[04:12] maybe I'll go to some
