Michael Franzese on Charlie Kirk Assassination and Epidemic of Leftist Violence in America

Michael Franzese delivers an urgent message on the anniversary of 9/11, drawing parallels between how America united after that tragedy and the divisiveness tearing the nation apart today. Following the assassination of conservative youth leader Charlie Kirk at a Utah campus event, Franzese speaks directly about what he sees as an epidemic of leftist violence fueled by political rhetoric, the demonization of Trump supporters, and leadership failures across America. From his perspective as a former mobster turned Christian, Franzese holds nothing back in this candid discussion about faith, violence, political accountability, and the spiritual warfare he believes is destroying communities, families, and lives across the country.

Remembering 9/11 and the Unity That Followed

Michael Franzese opens by commemorating the 24th anniversary of 9/11, honoring the first responders and victims of that horrendous attack on America. He reflects on his personal connection to the tragedy through his daughter Maria, whose husband's father was killed while working for Lehman Brothers that day. Franzese recalls how the nation came together after 9/11 in communities, neighborhoods, homes, schools, and churches, noting there was even a turning toward God during that period.

In an emotional reflection, Franzese shares that his grandson Jet was born on 9/11 two years ago. Initially having mixed feelings about the birth date, he realized it represents something positive because it reminds us of how America can come together after tragedy. He emphasizes that if ever there was a time when this nation needed to come together, it is now, not only because of Charlie Kirk's assassination but because of the divisiveness, hatred, and what he calls a demonic wave spreading across the country and world.

The Charlie Kirk Assassination and Political Violence

Franzese directly addresses the assassination of Charlie Kirk, calling it exactly that because Kirk was a tremendous public figure. He draws a parallel between 9/11's outside invaders and today's destruction happening from the inside by our own people causing death, murders, and horrendous hatred. He describes how this divisiveness has torn apart families, marriages, and workplaces, with people no longer speaking to each other because of political positions.

He declares this is spiritual warfare, not a myth but reality. As an unashamed Christian who follows Jesus Christ as his savior and hero, Franzese acknowledges he is not perfect but strives to be a better person than when he was a mobster. He emphasizes that true Christians will be better people if their faith is sincere, noting that God knows everyone's heart and we cannot scam God.

Political Leadership and Blood on Their Hands

Franzese holds nothing back in his criticism of political leaders, stating that selfish, self-serving people in office who fuel the fire of hate have blood on their hands right up until Charlie Kirk's death. He specifically calls out several political figures by name, including Jasmine Crockett for her statement that the job of police is not to prevent crime but to investigate it, which he considers a stupid and dangerous position.

He criticizes Morgan Freeman for suggesting Trump might have staged Kirk's killing to distract from Epstein files, calling it a moronic statement. Franzese argues that if there was anything damaging about Trump in those files, the Biden administration would have released it given their efforts to impeach, indict, and destroy him. He challenges the logic of Freeman's claim and expresses disappointment in the actor he once respected.

The Double Standard of Political Violence

Franzese systematically walks through examples of what he sees as leftist violence, asking pointed questions about the response from conservatives. When Daniel Penny was prosecuted, when Charlie Kirk was murdered, when Trump was shot at twice, he asks: where were the riots from the right? Where was the looting? Where were buildings being burned down? He contrasts this with the BLM and Antifa riots of summer 2020, which he says were tactically encouraged by Democrats like Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz to destabilize then-President Trump.

He brings up the case of the young Ukrainian woman stabbed to death on a train on August 22nd, noting that mainstream media wouldn't report on it for days because it was a black man stabbing a white girl. He challenges viewers to be honest about whether the media response would have been different if the races were reversed, pointing to the immediate and sustained coverage of other cases involving racial dynamics.

Reading Miranda Devine's Article on Leftist Violence

Franzese reads extensively from a New York Post article by columnist Miranda Devine titled about Charlie Kirk's assassination being the latest evidence of an epidemic of leftist violence in America. He agrees with her assessment that the ruthless assassination at a crowded campus event in Utah is the latest manifestation of hateful rhetoric aimed at President Trump and his MAGA movement.

He emphasizes Kirk's own words from two months before his death: "Assassination culture is spreading on the left. 48% of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. 55% said the same thing about Donald Trump." Franzese points out that Kirk understood the consequences of escalating violent rhetoric as he and Trump kept winning hearts and minds of a new generation with logic and common sense.

Charlie Kirk's Message and Method

Franzese defends Charlie Kirk's approach, emphasizing that Kirk went into enemy territory with a Bible, knowledge, and what Franzese calls street smarts in dealing with people. He describes how Kirk would tour universities under the banner "Prove Me Wrong," encouraging students to challenge him with any question. Kirk would put forward his views calmly and with a smile, arguing that capitalism is better than socialism, there are only two sexes, and other conservative positions.

He explains that Kirk reached across the aisle and engaged young people respectfully in dialogue, was never personal or nasty, and was courteous and civilized. Kirk was happy and courageous enough to debate anybody in good faith, which is why he won hearts and minds on campuses and helped Trump win in 2024. Franzese argues that calling Kirk's speech "hate speech" is a bold-faced lie, that it was civil discourse backed up with truth, facts, and intelligent argument.

Personal Story: From Enemy to Friend with Rudy Giuliani

In a powerful illustration of forgiveness and Christianity in action, Franzese shares his personal story with Rudy Giuliani. He explains that Giuliani tried to put him away for 100 years on a case, viewing Franzese as a bad guy and mobster whose job it was to prosecute. Now, Franzese considers Giuliani a friend, having come to terms with the fact that Giuliani was doing his job and Franzese was the criminal.

He extends this principle of forgiveness to Joe Pistone (Donnie Brasco), who put many of his former friends in jail but was also just doing his job. Franzese says that while some people still hate Pistone, he has come to terms with it, recognizing that Pistone is a good, decent guy with a family. This, Franzese explains, is what Christianity is all about, and it was the message Charlie Kirk spread.

Prison Story: Confronting the Mob Boss About Race

Franzese shares a revealing story from his time at Terminal Island prison, where Pete Milano, the boss of Los Angeles and son of a Cleveland boss, questioned why Franzese spent time with black and Mexican inmates instead of Italians. In front of other Italian mobsters, Franzese confronted Milano, telling him not to tell him how to do his time and pointing out that it wasn't a black guy or Mexican guy who put him in jail but his Italian partner who turned informant.

He told Milano he didn't like sitting around telling war stories and playing cards, that he had things in common with black and Mexican inmates like softball and working out, and that he was married to a Mexican woman. Franzese asked if Milano had a problem with that, asserting his independence and rejecting racial divisions. He shares this story to demonstrate he is not racist and will call out wrong behavior regardless of who is committing it, whether black, white, Italian, or any other background.

The Reality of Hell and Call to Faith

Franzese makes an impassioned plea about eternal consequences, telling viewers they are kidding themselves if they don't believe in heaven and hell. He promises to do a special video on the evidence for eternal life if people request it, noting he has been preaching and giving his testimony for 30 years at nearly 2,000 events, with many people coming to the Lord as a result.

He emphasizes that nobody is sent to hell by God, that we put ourselves there through our choices because God is merciful, just, and loving but also gives us free will. Franzese urges people to have a healthy fear of hell because everyone will die and go one place or the other. He challenges viewers to do the work and research to determine if Jesus is the savior of the world, warning that the consequences of rejecting Christ is hell for all eternity.

Jesus Christ: The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived

Franzese issues a bold challenge: bring anyone from past, present, or future that you want to emulate, gather material on them, and sit down with him while he has his Bible. He guarantees that going through word for word, line for line, paragraph for paragraph, page for page, Jesus will beat any other person every single time in terms of character, teachings, and example.

He explains he loves Jesus because of who He is, calling Him the greatest man who ever walked the earth who saved his life on earth and preserved his life for all eternity. Franzese states that Jesus said no one gets to the Father except through Him, that He has been given dominion over heaven and earth. He argues that if politicians, leaders, and people in authority would turn to the Lord, the demonic violence and hatred would stop, and Charlie Kirk would still be alive.

Media Bias and the Ukrainian Girl's Murder

Franzese calls out what he sees as media hypocrisy, specifically addressing the murder of a young Ukrainian girl stabbed to death on a train in North Carolina on August 22nd. He accuses mainstream media of being ghoulish and disgusting for not reporting on it until days later because it was a black man stabbing a white girl. He challenges viewers to be honest about whether the coverage would have been different if races were reversed.

He condemns MSNBC's Matthew Dowd for blaming Charlie Kirk's own hateful rhetoric for causing the hate that led to his murder, though he praises MSNBC for firing Dow immediately. Franzese says Dow doesn't deserve to have a platform and should never get another job in media for making the perpetrator the victim and blaming Kirk for his own assassination.

Specific Criticisms of Political Figures

Franzese systematically criticizes multiple political figures by name. He calls out Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker as an overblown bully who acts like Al Capone, refusing federal help to stop violence in Chicago while people get shot and killed every weekend. He accuses Pritzker of living in an ivory tower with taxpayer-funded security, not worrying about violence because he is on the left and protected.

He criticizes Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff for constantly attacking Trump without doing anything for their constituents, calling them liars, frauds, and phonies. He targets California Governor Gavin Newsom for wasting billions on homeless shelters and apartments never built, coming in with a surplus and turning it into a deficit, and making California a sanctuary state protecting illegal immigrants at the expense of citizens.

Franzese condemns Nancy Pelosi as a snake who has used insider trading and refuses to be held accountable, though he says he wants her to repent rather than go to jail. He accuses her of responsibility for January 6th, claiming she and Mayor Bowser refused Trump's offer of National Guard troops and may have told police to prepare for riots.

AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Socialist Hypocrisy

Franzese points out what he sees as hypocrisy from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, who speak against oligarchy and corporate greed while staying in extravagant five-star hotels, riding private planes on taxpayer money, and accumulating wealth. He notes that Sanders is a millionaire despite being a lifelong congressman, questioning how someone speaking against oligarchs can be so wealthy.

He challenges their authenticity as socialists who claim to support democracy while actually advocating for socialism. Franzese asks why nobody riots against them, burns their cars, or commits violence around them, answering his own question by saying it's because people on the right and Christians don't do that.

Examples of Leftist Violence

Franzese provides a list of violent incidents he attributes to leftist ideology and rhetoric. He mentions the deadly BLM and Antifa riots that engulfed the country in summer 2020, the two assassination attempts on Trump including the bullet that nicked his ear, arson and vandalism against Tesla dealerships to intimidate Elon Musk for supporting Trump, and the assassination of Israeli embassy staffer Jarren Lucinski and his fiance outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington DC.

He includes the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024 allegedly by a wealthy leftist spouting critiques of corporate greed and healthcare inequities. He even notes that the arson attack on Pennsylvania Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro's home, which some tried to cite as bipartisan violence, was actually perpetrated by a left-wing pro-Hamas anti-Israel activist.

The Border, Fentanyl, and Immigration

Franzese argues it is common sense to want a closed border with legal immigration, to prevent fentanyl from killing 60,000 people per year from opioid overdoses, and to have police presence on streets to prevent crime. He criticizes the Biden administration for lying about not being able to shut down the border when Trump did it in two months.

He accuses leaders of spending money on illegal immigrants for healthcare, housing, and food instead of committing dangerous criminals to institutions. He brings up the case of the man who killed the woman on the train, noting he had been locked up 14 times for being aggressive but was repeatedly let out without bail when his own mother tried to get him committed.

DEI, Education, and Gender Ideology

Franzese opposes DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies, arguing that people should not be placed in positions because of their color or race but based on merit, work, and knowledge. He says the right approach is to give people opportunities at a young age in schools and communities so they can have the same education and ability to compete for jobs fairly.

He strongly criticizes what he sees as gender ideology being taught to children as young as five and six years old, calling it ridiculous and horrendous to teach kids they might not be male or female but something else. He contrasts this with people like Andrew Tate, whom he calls a friend, saying Tate tells men to be men and young boys to be men, not the confusion taught in schools.

Christianity, Abortion, and Moral Issues

Franzese declares there are only two sexes because God made man and woman, period. He says people hate Trump and Christians for believing this truth. On abortion, he calls it not a mother's health issue but an abortion and choice issue, urging honesty about not wanting to have a baby rather than framing it as healthcare.

He admits he would probably choose the mother's life if at stake and might want an abortion in cases of rape, questioning whether that makes him a bad Christian but being honest about his feelings. However, he strongly opposes abortion as simply a choice and mentions New York allowing euthanization of babies born alive after failed ninth-month abortions.

The Mafia Comparison to Government

In one of his most striking statements, Franzese declares that while the mafia is weakened in America, it is at its strongest in government. He states that people in government are misleading, robbing, and taking advantage of citizens, not caring about the oath they took to protect people. He says they are there for one reason only: to maintain power and force their will on people to satisfy their own agendas.

Drawing on his experience as a former mobster, Franzese says he knows criminals only stop when they face consequences. When there are no consequences, they continue. He argues this is common sense, that consequences curb actions or prevent people from committing crimes when they are locked up. He criticizes policies that empty prisons and let perpetrators back on the street without accountability.

Civil Discourse and Debate

Franzese emphasizes that what America needs is civil discourse, not violence, venom, or hatred. He points to Charlie Kirk's model of peaceful, intelligent, spiritual debate, inviting opposition to his beliefs and sharing ideas. He challenges viewers to prove him wrong with intelligent rebuttals and facts, promising to respond and admit if he is wrong.

He criticizes people on social media who speak without knowledge, advising them to follow his father's teaching that silence is golden and to keep your mouth shut unless you know what you are talking about. He says if people want to be constructive and have others listen with respect and think they have integrity, they should speak intelligently or not speak at all.

Final Call: Stop the Hatred

Franzese concludes with an urgent appeal for the hateful, divisive rhetoric to stop so that senseless killings will end. He says it is very simple: put police on the street and support them properly, reform the police department where needed and hold people accountable, but don't dismiss police who are there to protect people and society. Make criminals pay consequences instead of putting them back on the street to do more harm.

He declares that these alleged leaders are not leaders but weak, cowardly people abusing their positions, living in ivory towers off taxpayer money with security paid by citizens while not worrying about the violence affecting ordinary Americans. He says they want to stay in power because they love the perks, and Donald Trump is the major threat to that, which is why they want to bury, bankrupt, impeach, imprison, and even kill him. Franzese states that he is not going to shut up despite the dangers because he has a wife, children, and grandchildren he loves, and he doesn't want to worry about them being attacked at concerts, parking lots, buses, or buildings. He believes this destruction could stop with proper leadership, and that leadership failures are causing it to continue.
