Subscribe on YouTubeTom Homan Honors Charlie Kirk's Legacy and Confronts Rising Violence Against ICE Agents in American Cities
Tom Homan, Border Czar under President Trump, sits down with Andrew Kolvet to honor Charlie Kirk's memory and discuss the dangerous surge in left-wing violence targeting federal agents. Homan reveals that attacks against ICE officers have risen over 1,000% and responds to shocking new Rutgers University data showing more than half of left-leaning respondents believe violence against political figures is justified. From Portland's nightly assaults on federal facilities to mayors refusing federal help, Homan explains why he refuses to back down despite the threats. He shares his commitment to Turning Point USA, his conversations with Charlie, and issues a call for patriots to join the mission of securing America's borders and restoring the rule of law.
A Heartfelt Tribute to Charlie Kirk
Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, sits down with Tom Homan, former acting director of ICE and Border Czar under President Trump, for an emotional conversation about Charlie Kirk's impact and the future of Turning Point USA. Homan, visibly moved, describes himself as a tough guy whose heart was broken by what happened to Charlie Kirk.
"Me and Charlie talk quite often and I believe what he was doing is a big part of saving this country just like President Trump, why I came back twice from retirement to help President Trump save this country," Homan explains. He makes a powerful commitment: "I made my commitment to Charlie and Turning Point I'll do anything I can to help this organization because of the great work you're doing again to help save this country."
Homan reveals he was in his office in the West Wing the day of the incident. "He was such a good man. Just trying to open dialogue between those who hated him. I often do the same. I give speeches and I know there's a lot of people don't like Tom Homan and what he does, but we don't shy away from getting out there trying to get the truth out."
Andrew Kolvet assures Homan that he speaks on behalf of everyone at The Charlie Kirk Show and Turning Point USA when he says, "You are a good man and you're a patriot. Charlie loved you and respected you. And when you came back for Trump 2.0, we knew that you were the right man for the job and that you had the guts and the courage to do the job."
Shocking Data on Political Violence
The conversation shifts to a disturbing new trend: the normalization of political violence. Kolvet presents findings from a Rutgers University poll conducted by the Network Contagion Research Center that reveals an alarming "assassination culture" emerging online.
According to the research, users online are increasingly associating the memeification of Luigi Mangione with calls for political violence against Elon Musk, President Trump, and others. The data is staggering: 50% of left-of-center respondents believed it is justified to murder Elon Musk for his opinions, while 56% believed it's justified to kill Donald Trump for his.
Homan's response is immediate and resolute: "Don't stop. Don't fold. My dad taught me as a young teenager: Never go start a fight. Never go look for a fight, but don't run away from one either. We're not running anywhere."
He expresses shock at the findings, noting this isn't the country he grew up in. "That's what was great about Charlie and President Trump. They want that country back where we can talk our differences and not be violent. I truly believe the vast majority of Americans are peaceful, God-fearing, America-loving people. But you got that fraction of people that have just lost their minds."
Attacks on ICE Officers Surge Over 1,000%
Homan reveals that attacks against ICE officers have risen over 1,000%. He emphasizes the human cost of this violence: "ICE officers, they're not heartless robots. They don't hang their heart on a hook every day they go to work. They're moms and dads, too. They're sons and daughters. And they put a gun on their hip and put a bulletproof vest on to go do their job. And they don't make a lot of money doing it."
The hate directed at ICE agents, Homan argues, is based on false, negative rhetoric being spread by members of Congress, members of the media, and mayors and governors of sanctuary cities.
Portland Under Siege
The discussion focuses on Portland, Oregon, where ICE facilities face nightly attacks from Antifa militants. Homan recounts his visit to Portland three weeks before the interview, where he became angry at the damage done to federal property.
"I asked the person who's in charge of security, why are we not cleaning this up? He says, well, because we'll have to clean it up again tomorrow. They'll come right back and damage the property again," Homan explains. "You're talking about people damaging United States federal property with a felony. You're talking about following our employees home from work to their homes. Put them at great risk."
Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has publicly stated there is no insurrection, no threat to national security, and no need for military troops in Portland. Homan's response is direct: "She should take a drive around Portland. She ought to go look at the ICE facility. Go to the ICE facility and sit there for 24 hours and see what these men and women deal with every day."
Confronting Domestic Terrorists
Kolvet shares footage from citizen journalist Nick Shirley, who was confronted by an Antifa militant in Portland. In the clip, as the militant threatens Shirley, laser sights from federal agents illuminate the aggressor, with warnings that snipers are watching.
Homan explains the dynamics at play: "You got somebody trying to protest Antifa and turn that protest into criminal activity, damaging federal property, assaulting federal agents, but they don't want journalism anywhere around because journalism is going to tell the truth. They don't want the American people to know the truth. They want to play the victims. We're in a situation now where the bad guy is the victims and the good guys want to enforce the law, try to make this country safe again."
Responding to Claims of Authoritarianism
Senator Ron Wyden tweeted in 2021: "Trump is launching an authoritarian takeover of Portland, hoping to provoke conflict in my hometown. I urge Oregonians to reject Trump's attempt to incite violence."
Homan dismisses this characterization entirely: "President Trump's trying to make his country safe again. And a lot of these sanctuary cities, they're not safe at all. Look what President Trump did in Washington DC. Look at the crime. That got reduced within days of his action. He made a promise to the American people. He's going to make this country safe again. If that involves troops, so be it."
He argues that the mayor of Portland and the governor of Oregon should be thanking President Trump for providing resources to make their streets safe again for their constituents and taxpayers.
A Portland resident featured in a clip supports this view: "I am so happy that Trump is sending the National Guard in here. I live in this building. We've been asking for help for months and we're finally going to get it."
ICE Mission and Morale
Despite the threats and attacks, Homan reports that morale among Border Patrol and ICE agents is at an all-time high because they're finally able to enforce the law and uphold the oath they took.
He addresses false rhetoric about ICE operations: "Around 70% of the people ICE arrests are criminals. But the left are saying they're not criminal enough. Well, they're criminal. And the other 30% includes national security threats who don't have criminal histories and people who have final orders—they had due process at great taxpayer expense, were ordered removed by a federal judge, and became a fugitive."
A Call to Patriots
Homan issues a call to Americans who want to serve their country. For those interested in joining Border Patrol or ICE, he directs them to USA Jobs and the CBP website to research the missions and see if they align with their values.
But he emphasizes that federal service isn't the only path to making a difference: "You don't have to be a federal agent and carry a gun to make this country great again. Get involved with your local community and educate your community on the benefits of enforcing laws in this country, making this country safe again. Whether it's run for city council, run for mayor, go to the voting booth. It isn't just about the presidential election anymore. This starts at the bottom. Get active in your community. Get out there and vote."
ICE is hiring 10,000 employees, and Homan welcomes all patriots to join the mission at ice.gov/join.
The interview concludes with mutual expressions of respect and commitment. Kolvet assures Homan that The Charlie Kirk Show and Turning Point USA have his back, and Homan reaffirms his support for the organizations Charlie Kirk built.

I'm Andrew Kulv, executive producer of
this show. I'm joined by a really dear
friend of both the show Turning Point
USA and of Charlie's, and that's uh
Borders are Tom Holman. And thank you so
much, Tom, for making this trip out of
your way to come see us.
>> You got it. Thanks for the invite.
>> Yeah. Well, listen, you know, I just
want to start with the obvious question.
You know, you're sitting next to
Charlie's empty chair.
You know, you're hugging our team. I I
mean I can see that this is means a lot
to you and it's affected you. So, you
know, what has this meant to you and you
know where where where where do we go
from here, you know?
>> Well, look, I'm a pretty tough guy, but
uh
what happened to Charlie broke my heart.
Tears your heart right out of your
chest. I me and Charlie talk quite often
and um I believe what he was doing. uh
what he was doing is a big part of
saving this country just like President
Trump why I came back twice from
retirement to help President Trump save
this country. So u I made my commitment
to Charlie and turning point I'll do
anything I can to help this
organization.
>> God bless you
>> because of the great work you're doing
again
to help save this country. There's this
country is turbulent and I think uh
Charlie brought out discussion get
people start thinking keep talking
because talking is better than violence.
Um
the day
the day of the incident I was in my
office in the West Wing and
it just broke my heart.
He was such a good man.
Just trying to open dialogue between
those who hated him.
I often do the same. I I give speeches
and I know there's a lot of people don't
like Tom Holman and what he does, but we
don't shy away from getting out there
trying to get the truth out. Um so
I'll do everything I can for Turning
Point.
>> Thank you, Tom.
>> Because I think we we both just want to
get the truth out there. We both want a
better country. We both want a country
better for our kids.
>> That's exactly right. Well, Tom, I know
that I speak on behalf of not only
everybody in this show, but everybody at
Turning Point and Erica when I say that
you are a good man and you're a patriot.
Charlie loved you and respected you. And
when you came back for Trump 2.0, you
know, we knew that you were the right
man for the job and that you had the
guts and the courage to do the job. And
um I know that uh Charlie loved you. I
know you love Charlie. And Turning
Point, we still love you. Charlie Kirk
show, we we love you. And um we thank
you so much for making this extra
special trip. I know Arizona is a place
you you do a lot of work anyways, but
I'm I'm so grateful that you came and
made this made this special trip. So you
honor us.
>> Me and Charlie talked a lot. I've done
I've done his show a lot of times.
>> Matter of fact, I was supposed to be in
El Paso doing an event with him.
>> That's right. You were going to be on
the tour. Yeah, I'll be on the tour. Um,
looking forward to it and uh but again,
I think um
Turning Point's in good hands with
Erica. I just I just had a conversation
with her. So proud of her.
>> Me, too.
>> Such a strong strong woman. So, um I
think Turning Point
people ain't seen anything yet.
>> Yeah.
>> I think this a I think this whole
organization's going to increase
thousandfold.
>> We're going to 10x it, Tom. We're gonna
10x it.
>> God bless you.
>> We're gonna make this, as Erica says,
the biggest thing you've ever seen.
We're going to do it for Charlie. We're
gonna do it for this country. We're
going to do it because God compels us
and we're all committed to that vision.
And Erica set the tone and she deserves
a lot of respect and and she has the
respect of this of the the the team both
here at the Charlie Kirk show and at
Turning Point, Turning Point Action.
Tom, I want to talk to you about
something that impacts you personally
with what you're doing at with the
Border Patrol, ICE, and that is this
rising violence, this tide of violence,
and it is left-wing vigilanteism, and
it's shocking and terrifying. I'm going
to play, this is a new clip, uh Fox
News, Ruters University has done a new
poll, and uh I want to get your
reaction. Play cut 57.
>> I want to ask you about this Rucker
report. Good morning. uh on the network
contagion research center. This is their
conclusion. Okay.
>> Users online are increasingly
associating the memeification of Luigi
Manion with calls for political violence
against Elon Musk, President Trump, and
others reflecting the growing cyber
social presence of assassination
culture. And Aisha, you have some
findings that they have here on
justification.
>> It's alarming. Um and I want to put this
up here. This is a justification for
murder of Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
And you'll see here they found that when
it came to the left of center, 50%
thought that it was justified to murder
Elon Musk, 56% for President Trump.
So just to reiterate,
Ruters University has discovered that
50% of left of center respondents
believed it is justified to murder Elon
Musk for his opinions. 56%
believed it's justified to kill Donald
Trump for his.
And I'm assuming had they asked ICE
agents about ICE or ICE agents, that
number would be similar. What do you do
in an environment like this?
Don't stop.
Don't stop. Don't fold. You know, my dad
taught me as a young teenager.
Never go start a fight. Never go look
for a fight, but don't run away from one
either. We're not running anywhere. Uh
it's it's amazing. This is this is not
the country I grew up in. Um and that's
what was great about Charlie and
President Trump. They want that country
back where, you know, we can talk our
differences and not be violent. So, it
it shocks me. It shocks me to hear that.
I didn't know that just a couple minutes
ago.
>> Yeah.
>> That this is really where we're at as a
as a as a nation. I truly believe the
vast majority of Americans are peaceful.
>> Me, too.
>> God-fearing
America loving people. But you got that
fraction of people that uh have just
lost their minds. I mean, attacks
against ICE officers is up over a,000%.
And what people don't, if you stop and
think about it, ICE officers, they're
not, you know, heartless robots. They
don't hang their heart on a hook every
day they go to work. They're moms and
dads, too. They're sons and daughters.
And they put a gun on their hip and put
a bulletproof vest on to go do their
job. And and and they don't make a lot
of money doing it. And it's the hate for
them, toward them is based on a lot of
false,
negative rhetoric being placed by
members of Congress, um, members of the
media, mayors, governors of sanctuary
cities.
>> Let's let's play some of this then. This
is because a lot of this right now, the
story is around Chicago. It's around
Portland.
And I know that there was a lot of
protest. I would call it uh worse than
protest. It's riots. It's violence. It's
intimidation. It's thug culture. It's uh
Antifa culture. And you know, you've got
Oregon governors and uh you know, Tina
Cotch, you know, saying there's no
insurrection. There's no threat to
national security. Play cut 33.
>> I have been abundantly clear with them
that Portland and the state of Oregon
believe in the rule of law and we can
manage our own local public safety
needs.
There is no insurrection.
There is no threat to national security.
And there is no need for military troops
in our major city.
Military service members should be
dedicated to real emergencies.
The members of the Oregon National
Guard, their mission is to stand up and
protect Oregonians, and they will do
that every day. But they are not needed
in this city. They are not needed here.
your reaction.
>> She should take a drive around Portland.
I just was in Portland three weeks ago.
I was at the ice facility that's under
attack every night. Matter of fact, I I
became a little angry because of the
damage done to the building, the
graffiti. And I asked the person,
one of the people there who's in charge
of security, why why are we not cleaning
this up? Uh he says, well, because we'll
have to clean it up again tomorrow.
They'll come right back and damage the
property again. You're talking about
people damaging United States federal
property with a felony. You're talking
about following our employees home from
work to their homes. Put them at great
risk. She ought to she ought to go look
at the ICE facility. Go to the ICE
facility and sit there for 24 hours and
see what these men and women deal with
every day.
>> Yeah. You know, you're drawing a line in
the sand. You're saying you're not going
to back down. I just showed you that
terrible new report from Rutgers
University about the Magionism,
the Magion effect, the assassination
culture. And this was an interesting
thing that happened last night. It's cut
56 if you want to get it ready. This is
Nick Shirley who does sort of street
journalism. He goes out with a camera.
He gets a he gets confronted by an
Antifa militant
now who's a domestic terrorist and he's
threatening him and all of a sudden
these these lights start shining on this
guy. So I want you to explain what
happened here and this is in Portland
and this is the clash between you know
domestic terrorists and federal
officers. Play cut 56.
>> I have the right to be here.
>> Okay. Did I say
>> I have the right to be here? I have the
right to film. You have DHS watching you
right there lasered on you. You have a
sniper lasered on you right now.
>> I don't give a
>> Stop it.
>> Stop sticking your camera in people's
face.
>> I didn't do anything wrong.
>> You have a sniper on you right now.
>> You have a sniper on you right now.
>> What's going on in that clip?
Well, look, you got somebody trying to,
you know, they think they have the right
to protest Antifa and turn that protest
into criminal activity, damaging federal
property, assaulting federal agents, but
they don't want journalism anywhere
around because journalism is going to
tell the truth.
>> And they don't they don't want the
American people to know the truth. You
know, they want to play the victims. You
know, if we're in a we're in a we're in
a situation now where the bad guy is the
victims and the good guys want to
enforce the law, try to make this
country safe again. They're the bad guys
and the bad guys are actually the
victims. He's got completely turned
around and teaches the good guys. You're
the victims. I the bad guys. Here's a
journ journalist trying to show the
American people what exactly happened.
They don't want that. They don't want
the truth out to American people and
what exactly they're doing.
>> Check out this tweet. This is uh from
Ron Widen
and 221. Throw it up if you can. Trump
is launching an authoritarian takeover
of Portland, hoping to provoke conflict
in my hometown. I urge or Oregonians to
reject Trump's attempt to incite
violence. Oh, so it's Trump. It's
President Trump who's inciting violence
in all your ICE agents just for existing
uh in a vibrant and peaceful city. By
the way, this is completely garbage on
its face. By the way, Portland is rife
with this militant faction of residents
that have been pandered to and catered
to and treated with kid gloves for so
long that they feel that they can run
rough roughshod over the city of
Portland. Uh what do you say to this
accusation that President Trump is a
fascist and authoritarian and he
shouldn't be deploying troops in
American cities?
>> President Trump's trying to make his
country safe again. And a lot of these
sanctuary cities, they're not safe at
all. I just said I was in Portland a few
weeks ago. It's not safe. I saw the
damage they do. They attack the building
every night. And you know, look what
President D did in Washington DC. Look
at the crime. Oh, that got reduced
within days of his action. He made a
promise to the American people. He's
going to make this country safe again.
If that if that involves troops and so
be it. It's going to make those
neighborhoods safer. You would think the
mayor of Portland and the governor of
Oregon would be calling President Trump
up and thanking him to come to the table
and helping giving them resources to
make those streets safe again for their
constituents, for their taxpayers.
>> 100%. Well, and let's let's play a a cut
a clip that would reinforce your point
here. Uh this is a Portland resident
praising President Trump for deploying
the military to squash this. This is cut
34.
I am so happy that Trump is sending the
National Guard in here. I live in this
building. We actually we both live in
this building. We've been asking for
help for months and
we're finally going to get it.
>> When do you think they're coming?
>> When?
>> Not not not soon enough, man. Not soon
enough.
>> That's a That's a real resident. He
lives right near the ICE facility and
he's been living with this this domestic
terror group assaulting federal
officers. Not to mention, Tom, what
happened in Texas where you had somebody
shooting up an ICE facility. Is this
how what's the spree decor of Border
Patrol and ICE? I mean, we had all this
this surge of applicants. Are we still
seeing that? Are people st staying
strong? Are they staying on mission?
>> Oh, absolutely. They're the morale is on
an all-time high because they're they're
getting to force the law. They're
getting to uphold the hold of the oath
they took when they signed up to do that
job whether it's a board or ICE. And
what people need to understand all this,
you know, fake rhetoric about who ISIS
is arresting.
Right around 70% 70%
of the people ICE arrests are criminals.
But the left are saying they're not
criminal enough. Well, they're criminal.
And the other 30% includes national
security threats who don't have criminal
histories and people who have final
orders been they had due process at
great taxpayer expense or order moved by
federal judge became a fugitive.
>> ICE if you actually look go to the ICE
website look at the data you see without
a doubt they're making these streets
safe again one illegal criminal at a
time
>> of course. So Tom, as I said, if people
want to get involved, they want to
apply, they want to be a part of the
solution, maybe they're 20, they don't
know what they're doing with their
lives, maybe they're 35 and they're at a
job that they don't want to be at
anymore, and they want to help the
country, they want to help be a part of
your mission. Where do they go? How do
they apply? What can they do?
>> Okay.
>> What what what's do you have
>> there? There's a lot of places you can
go. You can go to USA jobs and you'll
see the announcements there. And look
what I would what I ask people to do, go
to the CBP website, customs border
protection website. Look at what they
do. Look at what ICE does because ICE
does a lot of different things. You have
HSI and arrow. Do your research and make
sure that you look at what their mission
is and see if you agree with the
mission. If you want to be a part of the
mission this and in addition to that,
you don't have to be a federal agent and
carry a gun to make this country great
again. Get involved with your local
community and and and and educate your
community on on the benefits of
enforcing laws in this country, making
this country safe again. Whether it's,
you know, run run for city council, run
for mayor, go to the voting booth. It
isn't just about the presidential
election anymore. Yeah.
>> This starts at the bottom. So, get
active in community. Get out there and
vote. Use use your right and from
anything from a city council member all
the way up to president of United
States. Get involved. But we'd welcome
them. We're hiring 10, you know, 10,000
employees. We welcome all all the
patriots coming. Ice.govjoin
ice.govjoin.
Tom Hman, you're a great patriot. Thank
you for joining us. And we have your
back. I know you have ours. And uh God
bless you.
>> Thanks for having me. Appreciate you.
Theron's ours.
