[00:00] There was a time where unity was greatly
[00:02] needed yesterday and House Democrats
[00:04] wouldn't even allow for a moment of
[00:06] silence for Charlie Kirk. Take a look.
[00:09] >> For what purposes, gentle lady from
[00:10] Colorado rise.
[00:33] Let's let's let's wait a minute. Wait a
[00:36] minute. The house will be in order. The
[00:38] House will be in order.
[00:42] >> The House will be in order.
[00:44] >> That was Representative Lauren Boowbert
[00:46] making that request. And the Democrats
[00:48] couldn't even give Charlie a moment of
[00:51] silence. Uh I want to follow up a little
[00:53] bit more with what we had on yesterday
[00:54] where we talked about MSNBC uh Matthew
[00:57] Dow. They have now fired him thankfully.
[00:59] It looks like there is actual uh action
[01:02] steps being taken now where people are
[01:05] actually being fired uh as they should.
[01:08] Dowed yesterday was going on MSNBC
[01:10] saying, "Oh, it was a possible
[01:12] celebration and the gun just went off.
[01:14] Like this is what the MAGA people uh
[01:16] do." And I can tell you now that the
[01:18] Carolina Panthers have fired one of
[01:20] their employees. The director of
[01:21] communications was posting stuff online.
[01:23] Phoenix Suns writer was fired over these
[01:25] posts that he was putting out there
[01:27] online. Uh, a lot of teachers, a lot of
[01:29] people in the healthc care industry.
[01:31] Matt, there are so many different people
[01:34] uh that are actually being fired today,
[01:37] which
[01:39] it's about time. This has needed to
[01:40] happen for quite some time. You can't
[01:42] just go out there and cheer for the
[01:45] death of a he's Charlie Kirk was a very
[01:48] regular normal person who was just going
[01:50] out there trying to talk to college kids
[01:53] about the other side of the aisle that
[01:56] he had different political views than
[01:57] them and you know what at least now
[02:00] people are actually stepping up to the
[02:01] plate and firing them.
[02:03] >> Yeah. I mean I will say I' I've been
[02:04] heartened by this because this is
[02:06] something that our side has been
[02:08] terrible at. We don't really react or do
[02:10] anything uh in response uh to many many
[02:13] of these terrible instances that
[02:14] occurred over the last 10 years because
[02:16] you know let's face it people on the
[02:18] right are living their life they're not
[02:19] activists but what you see now is real
[02:22] anger and accountability and I'm a fan
[02:25] I'm a fan of that and I think people
[02:27] should be held accountable uh for their
[02:29] words and in this case you know what
[02:32] comes around goes around and you see a
[02:34] lot of people who are just saying no not
[02:36] this time and you see a lot of
[02:37] businesses is and employers frankly uh
[02:40] saying I don't want any part of this and
[02:42] and that you know it's it's been a day
[02:45] right but but that is a change at least
[02:48] initially it looks like one
[02:49] >> and if you are on the blue sky app Chris
[02:52] there are there are a ton of crazies
[02:54] over there I am not on there but they
[02:56] are basically saying who's next uh for
[02:59] all of this some of the names that are
[03:00] out there is JK Rowling Mount Walsh Ben
[03:02] Shapiro lives at Tik Tok Elon Musk uh so
[03:05] there is no shortage of crazies
[03:07] that are out there. And uh
[03:09] unfortunately, this is what we will
[03:12] continue to have to deal with.
[03:15] >> Yeah. Because if Charlie Kirk is someone
[03:17] who you need to shoot because you don't
[03:19] like that he's coming to debate you,
[03:22] then there's so many more people who
[03:23] just weren't there that day or whose
[03:25] name you might maybe didn't know. I
[03:27] mean, that's the only difference. That's
[03:29] the only reason he was targeted. He
[03:30] didn't I mean, he was effective and he
[03:32] was there and he said things I didn't
[03:34] like. There are a lot of people who do
[03:36] that.
[03:37] I mean, a a good friend of mine, I was
[03:39] in his wedding, has been told that by
[03:42] him and his wife that they need to move
[03:45] because their security can't be
[03:46] guaranteed in their nice family
[03:48] neighborhood they live in in Florida, by
[03:50] the way. Um, that they need that people
[03:54] basically need to come into the compound
[03:56] like it's the Godfather,
[03:58] uh, because they're at war. The the
[04:01] threats are real. The copycats are going
[04:03] to happen. And I wrote in my beltway
[04:06] brief today uh that this really is a
[04:10] point where we can decide that we're
[04:12] going to get better or we can decide
[04:14] that we're going to get much worse much
[04:16] more quickly. And it's going to take a
[04:18] serious turn by society, a serious
[04:21] rejection by the American left, by the
[04:23] universities, not just these businesses
[04:26] and these sports teams, but by the
[04:27] university system of this kind of crap
[04:30] in order for this to actually have any
[04:31] kind of impact.
[04:33] When you go out there and say a
[04:34] 31-year-old father
[04:37] and husband and debater needs to be
[04:40] murdered for his words, not for the
[04:43] power, not even for the power he wields,
[04:45] not even for the authority he has, not
[04:48] even for the way he spends his money.
[04:50] It's it's for the words he said that you
[04:52] disagreed with that he was willing to
[04:54] talk to you about. You could have gotten
[04:55] online and debated him. When you say
[04:57] that he needs to be executed for that,
[04:59] it's it's exactly what Jay Leno said.
[05:00] It's a fullon assault, murderous assault
[05:03] on the First Amendment. Anyone who
[05:05] preaches that
[05:07] ought not to be welcomed in the halls of
[05:10] power. Hey, look, I'm not saying like
[05:11] they do on the American left, oh, you
[05:13] can't even be a pizza delivery boy. But
[05:15] hey, geez, get the heck out of here. Why
[05:17] are you teaching students? Why do you
[05:18] have access to children?
[05:20] They got they there needs to be
[05:22] significantly more accountability than
[05:23] there is right now. And funds need to be
[05:25] taken. And all these nonprofits that for
[05:28] the last 5 years have spent time
[05:30] funneling money towards bail funds for
[05:33] riers, towards printing t-shirts that
[05:35] have guns on them with the trans flag
[05:38] that says defend it. Um, and kill people
[05:42] who try to deny your personhood as if
[05:44] not using their pronouns is worthy of
[05:45] being murdered. Or all these people who
[05:49] fund groups that are professional
[05:50] agitators. Well, those funds need to be
[05:52] seized and those boards of directors
[05:54] need to be investigated. These are
[05:56] crimes. You don't need to make new
[05:57] crimes. You don't need to revoke civil
[05:59] rights. You don't need to attack civil
[06:01] liberties. You just need to enforce the
[06:02] laws in the books like we've seen in
[06:04] Washington DC this past month like
[06:06] you've seen like you hopefully someday
[06:08] we'll see in Chicago like you're going
[06:09] to see in more cities hopefully soon.
[06:12] You just need to enforce the laws on the
[06:13] books and say no, you can't be doing
[06:15] this illegal stuff that you've gotten
[06:16] away with for years because it leads to
[06:19] violence.
[06:20] Well, the uh the brief that the article
[06:23] that you wrote is called Why Charlie
[06:24] Kirk's assassination will change us in
[06:26] ways this generation has never seen. I
[06:28] encourage people to go to blazemedia.com
[06:30] and check it out.
[06:31] >> Yeah, everybody needs to read that. It's
[06:33] uh it's great work, Chris, and I'm just
[06:34] glad that we have all made it through
[06:36] without uh shedding some tears today.
[06:38] It's going to be a tough uphill road
[06:40] >> and we will figure out what those next
[06:42] steps are, but that's going to take a
[06:44] few weeks to get out of this. So, we
[06:46] appreciate your time.
[06:47] >> I'm extraordinarily heartbroken. Look,
[06:49] I'm equal parts sad and and angry right
[06:51] now, but I I guess I'm no part
[06:54] surprised. This has been a constant rise
[06:56] in domestic terrorism in this country.
[06:59] It's taken different forms over the
[07:01] years, but I I think we all knew with
[07:04] the, you know, scattered events that
[07:06] have seemed to get less scattered and
[07:08] more consistent combined with the the
[07:10] rhetoric and the anger in the air that
[07:12] something like this was not only
[07:14] inevitable, but you know, to a certain
[07:16] degree probable. And uh I think that's
[07:19] awful in a country that depends on civic
[07:21] discourse and an informed citizenry uh
[07:23] participating in a constitutional
[07:25] republic that uh an assassin's bullet
[07:27] can end it. It's you know we talk a lot
[07:29] about attacks on democracy in our public
[07:31] discourse. But assassination culture is
[07:34] probably the biggest attack on on uh the
[07:36] ability of America to self-govern. And
[07:39] uh it it breaks my heart to see you know
[07:42] this country go through it. My heart
[07:43] breaks for Charlie Kirk's family. I
[07:45] mean, I'm a a young dad, not as young as
[07:47] he was, but like you can only imagine
[07:50] those those poor little children and his
[07:52] wife, and so equal parts sad, but I'm
[07:56] very very angry.
[07:57] >> I saw something on X last night from a
[07:59] friend of the show, J. Michael Waller.
[08:00] Uh, and I wanted to point this out. He
[08:02] said the State Department wants the uh
[08:04] public help in identifying foreigners in
[08:06] the US who had social media posts who
[08:08] were cheering on the assassin
[08:10] assassination of Charlie Kirk. Uh, it's
[08:12] going to pull their visas. and he had
[08:14] quote tweeted the deputy secretary of
[08:15] state Chris Landau. Uh that is good news
[08:18] right here. I mean the fact that there
[08:20] are some action steps I would say we
[08:22] want a lot more. Uh but I do think this
[08:25] is a good first step, Mike.
[08:28] >> Yeah, I do too. Uh Landau is an absolute
[08:30] American patriot. He's a, you know,
[08:32] longtime uh you know advocate for the
[08:34] causes we care about so much here on the
[08:35] mandate. I've known him personally for
[08:37] some time. Uh he he means it. He really
[08:40] does mean it. And for you know the
[08:42] number two over at state to step out in
[08:43] that way I think is also meaningful to
[08:45] see that out of our political
[08:46] leadership. Uh luckily for him uh there
[08:50] a are a lot of foreigners who have said
[08:53] you know just absolutely terrible things
[08:55] along with a lot of Americans who have
[08:57] as well and and citizens are so outraged
[08:59] by this. Uh they're just scraping all
[09:02] this. you're seeing ex accounts just
[09:03] fill up, you know, in the rec last 24
[09:05] hours, screen capping everything they
[09:07] possibly can, you know, coming from
[09:09] these uh networks. And so, not only will
[09:11] that be helpful for the visa revocation
[09:13] of these foreigners, but it's also going
[09:15] to be helpful for what needs to happen
[09:16] next in terms of identifying and mapping
[09:19] the supporters of the domestic terror
[09:21] movement here in the United States. And
[09:23] so, if you're watching, you see
[09:24] something, you say something and get it
[09:26] to the right place. If you don't know
[09:27] where to take it, send it to me. I'll
[09:29] get it to the right place. Uh and and so
[09:31] props to Landau for stepping up.
[09:33] >> Yeah. And props to all the Patriots last
[09:35] night who were going out and saving all
[09:36] the Tik Toks, all the exposts. Uh if you
[09:39] ventured into blue sky, we showed some
[09:41] of those boats earlier. Uh bless you
[09:43] because I have no time or patience uh
[09:46] for any of them over there. But Mike
[09:48] Howell, thanks so much for joining us
[09:49] today. We always appreciate it.
