What Will It Take To Have Peace In Israel/Gaza?

[00:07] for one thing. Uh, I don't agree with

[00:10] your overwhelming support for Israel.

[00:12] And I have a Christian argument for you

[00:14] about it. My issue with it is that

[00:17] Israel helps funds Turkey military sells

[00:20] them missiles that end up killing

[00:22] Armenian Armenian citizens. How do you

[00:25] justify that as a Jewish nation is

[00:28] helping another another country

[00:31] eliminate a Christian race? So I don't

[00:34] support that. But we have a deeper

[00:35] problem with Turkey beyond Israel.

[00:37] Turkeyy's part of NATO. Yes. So we give

[00:39] them money. Yes. So it's not an Israel

[00:42] problem. That's an America problem.

[00:43] Right. I agree. So if your argument is

[00:45] against which I'm no fan of Turkey and I

[00:47] acknowledge the Armenian genocide for

[00:49] the record. Yes. Uh which get a lot of

[00:51] people get mad about. I I would put

[00:53] Israel aside to that for a second

[00:55] because the arms they're selling are

[00:56] repurposed American arms. Usually we I

[00:59] don't know why Turkey should be part of

[01:00] NATO. I think Turkey should be kicked

[01:02] out of NATO for what they did to the

[01:03] Armenians and they don't offer anything

[01:05] to America. Nothing. And Erdogan is a

[01:08] very very bad guy who's becoming an

[01:10] Islamic dictator of a failing country.

[01:12] So I think it's an American problem. So

[01:14] I would put Israel aside on that. But

[01:16] Israel also does sell them military aid.

[01:18] So do so do we. Yes. But so it's a it's

[01:22] we are the root cause of that right.

[01:24] Okay. And my second part of my question

[01:26] is how does I US uh gives a lot of

[01:30] benefits to Israel. How does Israel

[01:32] benefit us as a partner? Well, first and

[01:34] foremost, you're a Christian. Yes. How

[01:36] do we know the Bible is true?

[01:39] From the land of Israel. Palestine. Uh

[01:42] that's not Palestine. You want me to put

[01:44] British- Palestine? Does that help?

[01:46] Well, as a Christian, so are you

[01:48] Armenian Christian? No, I'm I'm actually

[01:50] Palestinian. Okay. So, uh so what what

[01:54] And you're a Christian? Yes, I'm a

[01:55] Christian. Okay. Well, praise God. Um

[01:58] I'm thrilled to hear that. So, but I

[02:00] think you can acknowledge that we as

[02:02] Christians have to honor the Jews. Do

[02:04] you believe that?

[02:06] Um I think we should honor everyone.

[02:09] People are people at the end of the day.

[02:10] But in our scriptures, it does say that

[02:12] we should bless the Jews. That you know,

[02:15] Genesis 12:3, bless those I will bless

[02:18] those descendants that bless me. And we

[02:20] have a covenant with Israel. Do do you

[02:23] share that as a Christian that belief? I

[02:25] think how I interpret that is that like

[02:30] at the end of the day, like we're all

[02:31] people. We should all be respecting,

[02:33] honor others. We should not be uh hating

[02:35] our neighbor. I don't know if that was

[02:37] me. Uh hating our neighbor. You know

[02:38] what I mean? I agree. So I I guess you

[02:40] can like take it to the context of

[02:42] specifically talking about Jews, but I

[02:44] take it in the context of talking about

[02:46] everyone as a people, the entire nation

[02:47] because at that time when the Bible was

[02:49] written, there weren't and how many

[02:51] countries, you know what I mean? Yes and

[02:53] no. I mean, it does Paul explicitly says

[02:56] that we should bless the Jews and from

[02:57] it, you know, we should honor the Jews.

[02:59] We're not going to agree on that. But so

[03:01] you say you're Palestinian. That's

[03:03] great. Um do you think Israel has a

[03:06] right to exist? Of course. Okay, then we

[03:07] can agree. Yeah, that's a big statement.

[03:10] Um, do you think that anti-semitism is

[03:12] real? Of course. Okay, great. Then I I

[03:15] really don't have much to disagree with

[03:16] on with you on because the the major

[03:18] issue is does Israel have a rightful

[03:20] right to exist? I guess the question

[03:23] is what would you consider to be Israel?

[03:25] Well, how how do you feel about the fact

[03:27] that we provided aid to Israel to where

[03:30] they ended up literally leveling Gaza?

[03:33] Do you think our money was in good use

[03:35] to do that? Well, yes and no. I mean,

[03:38] the first question is, why did Israel do

[03:39] that? It's because Hamas went and killed

[03:42] 1300 Jews on October 7th, unprompted,

[03:46] unprovoked, in the most horrendous way

[03:48] imaginable. And so, Israel was

[03:51] responding in a way that they would

[03:52] respond. Hamas invited that. And I guess

[03:54] the question I would have as a

[03:56] Christian, do you think that it's better

[03:58] for Christianity to have Israel

[04:00] controlled by Jews or Israel controlled

[04:03] by Muslims? What's better for

[04:05] Christianity? Okay. So my to I have a

[04:09] personal opinion on what I think would

[04:10] be more accurate from my own personal

[04:13] experience. I've seen Muslims be more

[04:15] receptive to the Christian faith than

[04:16] Jews. That's my own personal experience.

[04:19] But on top of that, there are not only

[04:21] in Israel, there are thousands of

[04:23] churches all throughout the Middle East

[04:24] and major Muslim controlled countries

[04:26] that have been preserved for thousands

[04:29] of years now that get funding. So, I

[04:31] don't think it's an argument on whether

[04:32] who would do it better because they've

[04:34] both been doing it for thousands of

[04:35] years now. Yeah. I mean, man, you you

[04:37] you you can't walk the streets of Tran

[04:40] or, you know, Riad and say Jesus is

[04:42] Lord.

[04:44] So, you can say that in Riad. Yeah. You

[04:46] could say Jesus is Lord. You could say

[04:48] Jesus is a prophet. I've seen it

[04:50] personally. They they have evangelical

[04:52] churches in Riad. That's interesting.

[04:54] But you can say that. You so part of my

[05:48] Syria, Jordan. They have thousands of

[05:49] churches there. They have a big they

[05:51] have big Christian faith over there. But

[05:52] they are Muslim majority countries and

[05:54] run by Muslims. And the churches are

[05:56] protected.

[05:58] I mean, look, I I don't want to You

[06:00] think the Coptic Christians have been

[06:02] treated well the last 10 years? I mean,

[06:04] come on, man. I mean, it's there was a

[06:07] mass persecution of Christians over the

[06:09] last decade. They're leaving these

[06:10] countries. A lot of their heads are

[06:12] being cut off. I mean, it's terrible.

[06:14] And I agree. There's extremist Muslims.

[06:16] Yes. But I I would there there to the

[06:20] best argument you could make is that

[06:22] that Jesus is revered in Islam as a

[06:25] prophet but not the prophet. Right?

[06:27] That's the best argument you could make.

[06:29] But in practice, Islam is not compatible

[06:33] with open air Christianity. They want

[06:35] you to kind of at best stay in your

[06:36] corner. At the very least, there is mass

[06:38] persecution. We're just going to

[06:40] disagree on the role of Israel. I think

[06:41] that the Jews should have a right to

[06:43] their own homeland. And I think that

[06:47] I think that Muslims are able to have 40

[06:49] Muslim majority countries. Why can't the

[06:52] Jews have one? No, I'm not disagreeing.

[06:54] No, then we then we agree on that. Then

[06:56] we But my point is that why is why are

[06:58] we why is America giving so much support

[07:00] and aid to Israel when we have so many

[07:02] problems in our own country first? It's

[07:04] the same argument on why we should be we

[07:05] shouldn't be sending $300 billion to

[07:07] Ukraine. Why are we funding another war?

[07:09] Well, part of it is that we do get a lot

[07:11] in return from weapons, technology

[07:13] benefits. But again, I believe we have a

[07:15] moral obligation to be able to protect

[07:17] the cradle of civilization and the place

[07:19] where our Lord and Savior walked on

[07:21] water and rose from the dead and proves

[07:23] where the Bible is true. Israel is not

[07:25] like every other nation. It's not like

[07:27] just sending money to Chad or to Sagal.

[07:30] There's something special about Israel

[07:31] and I think we have a moral commitment

[07:33] to that land. You can disagree with

[07:34] that. I'm not going to apologize for

[07:36] everything that the government did.

[07:38] There's no way I would ever do that. At

[07:40] the same time though, have you have you

[07:42] ever been to Israel proper? You have?

[07:44] Yes. Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and you've

[07:46] been to Jerusalem and all that? Yes.

[07:49] Does it do anything to you as a

[07:50] Christian? Of course. It's beautiful,

[07:52] right? It's amazing to be there. I wish

[07:54] you could go back every day. As and as

[07:56] me as a Christian, do you think it would

[07:58] be safe for me to walk the streets of

[08:01] Bethlehem without armed guards?

[08:04] Yes.

[08:07] My own family was thrown to the Now, I

[08:09] don't want to make a personal argument,

[08:10] but my own family was thrown to the

[08:12] ground by Israeli by Israeli guards

[08:13] because they were wearing a cross out.

[08:16] That's my That's been my own personal

[08:17] experience. That is unacceptable. It's

[08:19] not Well, I said it's I I believe it to

[08:22] be unacceptable. So, we want we want to

[08:24] try to dradicalize both sides. At least

[08:26] here's been my experience is that the

[08:29] Israeli community has been very

[08:31] welcoming of us as Christians and our

[08:33] faith, the homeland. I have not felt

[08:35] that kind of reciprocity from the

[08:36] Islamic world. And I'll finally say

[08:38] this, there is a disturbing trend with

[08:40] Islam across the West where they are

[08:42] antagonistic towards Christianity, that

[08:44] they are taking over a lot of areas that

[08:46] used to be dominantly Christian. I I

[08:49] feel a lot safer with Israelis than I do

[08:51] with most Arab Muslims. Thank you.
