Charlie Kirk's Final Trip to South Korea Weeks Before His Death
Showing 31 South Korea videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.
South Korea was the site of one of Charlie Kirk's final overseas trips, taken alongside Japan just three to four days before his assassination. Staff members Mikey McCoy and Blake Neff, who accompanied him, described it as a long-held dream Kirk had to visit Asia, capturing footage of speeches in which he framed freedom as a universal value rather than one exclusive to America or the West, and described the trip's broader theme as building alliances against globalism among nations that Kirk argued shared a common cultural inheritance worth defending. Historian Elizabeth Spalding situated South Korea within a longer American foreign policy legacy, describing President Truman's decision to defend the country during the Korean War as one of several pivotal choices, alongside the Berlin Airlift and the Marshall Plan, that Winston Churchill later credited with preserving Western civilization against Soviet expansion in the years following World War II. The footage from Kirk's own Asia trip was still being prepared for release by his team at the time of his death, with several planned speeches and podcast episodes remaining unpublished.
