Brandon Tatum Exposes Netflix's Trans Propaganda Campaign Targeting Children Through Animated Shows

Brandon Tatum and Blake discuss Netflix's animated children's show 'Dead End: Paranormal Park,' which features explicit transgender content aimed at young viewers. The show, which aired from 2021-2023, includes scenes with characters discussing being transgender, prompting widespread outrage after Libs of TikTok shared clips. Tatum argues that children aren't naturally considering gender identity questions and that shows like this plant ideas in developing minds. The conversation addresses the show's creator Hamish Steel's inflammatory social media posts, the broader culture war over children's programming, and whether conservatives can successfully boycott Netflix despite past mixed results with corporate boycotts.

Netflix Under Fire for Trans Content in Children's Programming

Brandon Tatum and Blake are discussing a controversial Netflix animated children's show that has sparked intense debate about age-appropriate content and ideological programming. The show, titled 'Dead End: Paranormal Park,' aired from 2021 through 2023 and recently went viral after Libs of TikTok posted clips featuring explicit transgender themes marketed to young audiences.

The conversation begins with a personal note about canceling Netflix subscriptions, with one speaker mentioning their love for Seinfeld, which is exclusively available on the platform. However, the disturbing content in children's programming has prompted reconsideration of maintaining the subscription.

The Controversial Content

The show features a scene where a character named Barney reveals to another character named Norma that they are transgender. In the clip, Barney explains: "It's not the park. It's me. I'm trans, Norma. And everyone at school knows. And everyone at home knows. And being here, it's like a whole new place. I can just be Barney. And I can choose if and when I tell people. I've never been happier."

The character continues, referencing another character named Pugsley who "reminded me how important it is to live your life without apology," before declaring their intention to stay in this new environment.

Brandon Tatum's Perspective on Childhood Development

Tatum expresses strong opposition to this type of content being marketed to children, arguing that the actual prevalence of transgender-identifying children is being vastly overstated. He references his own son's experience at a large 6A school with many students, noting they don't have a single trans kid at that school, and even at the previous public school, there was maybe one.

"What they're doing is they're indoctrinating kids and putting this into their subconscious to begin to think about, well, am I trans? What is trans? Do I am I boy? Could boys be girls? Can I get some attention if I come out with this issue?" Tatum explains. "Because that's what it's really all about. A kid don't know nothing about being trans."

Tatum challenges the notion that young children can understand gender identity concepts, using his own four-year-old as an example: "You think my son knows between being a boy and a girl and all of that crazy stuff. And if he does have a question about it as an adult, you have leadership that should tell him, 'No, you're a boy.' All you got to do is check when you go to the bathroom, you got that one or the other one."

The Psychology of Early Exposure

The discussion turns to the psychological impact of exposing children to complex identity concepts before they're developmentally ready. Tatum draws a parallel to early sexual exposure: "If you can get into the subconscious mind of a developing child and you get it, it's the same thing when kids get exposed to sexuality too early, it begins to warp their worldview and warp their mind and they drag that stuff on into adulthood where they have a distorted view of what sex is and distorted view of what sexuality is."

He argues that even if the impact doesn't manifest immediately, "when they get a little older, it may manifest in a way that's detrimental."

The Show Creator's Inflammatory Comments

Blake reveals additional context that intensified the controversy. The show's creator, Hamish Steel, made disturbing social media posts on BlueSky following the assassination attempt. Steel uses "he/they" pronouns and posted a message the day after the assassination that included vulgar attacks, calling someone a "random Nazi" and using profane language.

Blake describes Steel's appearance as "very creepy looking" and notes the hypocrisy: "This is the kind of guy who would say like, 'Ah, love is everything. Kindness is everything.' Such a fraud."

The Demographic Reality Behind the Agenda

Tatum connects the programming to a broader demographic trend, noting that new studies show conservatives are having above-replacement-level children while liberals are not. "First of all, we're going to outbreed them," he states. "Secondly, they are not procreating. And so the only way that they can push and expand this ideology, this woke garbage, this evilness is to spawn it via programming."

He emphasizes that content creators understand child psychology: "They know that our kids are absorbing things at this age like sponges. They know that this stuff, this programming goes in deep."

Call for Netflix Boycott

The conversation shifts to practical action, with both speakers advocating for a Netflix boycott. They reference Elon Musk's support for the boycott, which has been seen millions of times on social media.

"I don't have necessarily a bone to pick, per se, with Netflix, but it's not a one-off example," one speaker explains. "It's run by a bunch of leftists. They probably think that they're doing both sides or whatever, but they're programming our kids to embrace this garbage and they need to feel the pain financially if they're going to stop this."

The distinction is made between adult content and children's programming: "I don't care if in the adult section they got stuff that you maybe don't agree with politically, but not in the kids section. This is, you know, how Netflix is. You go, I'm going to do the kids one or the normal one. And this is in the kids."

A Call for Parental Leadership

Tatum issues a passionate call for parents to take stronger leadership roles: "Parents, quit being cowards. If your kid come to you and say, 'I don't know what I am.' Tell them exactly what they are. I'm so sick, you know, because it's really the parents that it comes down to. First of all, they let their kids watch this garbage. And then they don't have leadership. They want to say, 'Well, I want to be sensitive to this.' No, quit being silly. You need to focus on what the truth is. You need to put God first in your family, and you will have a successful family."

He continues: "I'm so sick of parents letting their kids go by the wayside because they're trying to be nice and they're trying to be like, 'Oh, I'm an open-minded person and parent and kids need to explore and all of this.' No, they don't. They need leadership. They need you to raise them."

Understanding the Strategic Intent

Tatum emphasizes that the content is strategically designed: "I always think about things. It's not what people do, it's why they're doing it. Why are they doing it? They don't have to do this. They are willing and we got to be willing to cut our memberships with them because they are willing to lose money to push their agenda. Do you think Netflix didn't know that people were going to be upset about that? They don't care. They are willing to lose a lot of money to make sure your kids are indoctrinated so they all become trans in the next 15 years."

The Challenge of Conservative Boycotts

Blake raises an uncomfortable truth about conservative activism: "Unfortunately, the left has proven itself more disciplined in executing boycotts, in executing financial pressure, in cutting things off. And historically the right has just been not been as good at that. We had one kind of really big boycott with Budlight a few years ago and I think to be honest I think a lot of the right got a little high on itself off of that and they thought oh we can take out whatever we want. Most of our other boycotts do not succeed."

The Target boycott is mentioned as a partial success where "Target kind of took they stopped doing but I wasn't a full win, but at least Target tucktail a little bit and ran."

The NFL is cited as an example of failed boycotts: "I feel every two years or so, the NFL does something super liberal, people come out and they're like, 'We're going to boycott the NFL. Go woke, go broke.' And then the NFL just steamrolls them. The NFL goes, we're going to go around you and do Big Bunny because now we're going to appeal to Hispanics." Blake notes that some people still think they won despite the NFL continuing to thrive.

Beyond Boycotts: Institutional Takeover

Tatum argues that boycotting alone isn't sufficient: "We also have to understand boycotting is not the only way to do it. We got to raise up the next generation. They've raised up a generation. We got to raise up generations of strong, confident people and put them in positions of power at these organizations."

The conversation concludes with a strategic vision: "We have to take back the institutions. There's a whole debate on the right. Are we going to create our parallel institutions? Are we going to take back the institutions? Well, we got to take them back. And there's multiple vectors upon which we need to fight. But we need our own long march through the institution."
