[00:00] what is a tariff we are hearing this
[00:02] word thrown around a lot Donald Trump is
[00:05] starting a trade war is what we are
[00:07] being told we are saying that it is
[00:09] making the economy go into a recession
[00:12] but what exactly is a
[00:15] tariff a tariff is a duty it's a tax in
[00:19] some sense imposed by of course a
[00:22] government on importing or exporting of
[00:26] goods it is used as a form of
[00:29] negotiation many times but it's a way to
[00:32] try and bring both parties to the
[00:35] table now we have tried unfettered free
[00:38] trade over the last 30 or 40 years on
[00:42] paper free trade with every country
[00:45] looks and sounds
[00:47] good it looks and sounds good when we
[00:49] are able to say you know what there's no
[00:51] duties there's no tariffs there's no
[00:55] taxes however America has been largely
[00:58] too focused on the import portation of
[01:01] goods into America not being tariffed
[01:03] and far too often we don't even ask the
[01:05] question what about the products we make
[01:07] in our country that we want to import to
[01:09] other countries so the game that was
[01:13] constituted the deal that was
[01:16] structured was the
[01:19] following it was that we are going to
[01:23] become a purchaser of other country's
[01:26] goods and we will become a service
[01:29] economy why do we need to go make stuff
[01:31] with our hands we're better than that
[01:33] we're just going to go close down all
[01:34] the factories in Allentown we're going
[01:36] to go close down the factories in
[01:38] Marshon Iowa we don't need to be making
[01:40] stuff we're more elevated than that we
[01:42] will have an information economy we all
[01:45] know how that works those very decisions
[01:48] that were
[01:50] made by the American corporate ruling
[01:53] class led to the rise and the Ascension
[01:57] of Donald
[01:58] Trump it led to the explosion of the
[02:01] Maga
[02:03] movement now we are in a
[02:04] three-dimensional trade War right now
[02:07] president Trump is forcing the issue
[02:09] president Trump very well could have
[02:10] avoided
[02:11] this the American people voted for
[02:13] tariffs they voted for stricter trade
[02:15] measures and he very well could have
[02:17] avoided this and understand that the
[02:19] Menace of the Chinese Communist party
[02:21] was made possible because of our
[02:23] overindulgence in in internationalist
[02:26] trade policies Americans
[02:29] like the idea of living in a country
[02:32] that makes things again not only do we
[02:35] want to make America great again we want
[02:37] to make America make things again you
[02:40] are not a country if you import
[02:42] everything made overseas you are nothing
[02:45] more than a trading Colony you're not a
[02:48] country president Trump had the Irish
[02:52] Prime Minister now I'm going to butcher
[02:55] the pronunciation there's actually a
[02:56] very interesting title to the Irish
[02:59] Prime Minister
[03:00] Blake can put the name in the in the
[03:03] chat it's like taset or something is the
[03:06] actual term for the prime minister of
[03:08] Ireland I learned that I didn't know
[03:11] that but this is President Trump going
[03:14] back and forth with the Irish leader
[03:17] thank you the
[03:18] tyos TYC
[03:21] whatever president Trump says that he
[03:23] will impose additional tariffs on the EU
[03:27] to respond to their retaliatory
[03:31] tffs the reporter then responds and says
[03:33] well what will be the
[03:35] retaliation listen carefully this is
[03:37] President Trump in the Oval Office going
[03:41] back and forth with the reporter what
[03:44] cut is this trying to pinpoint this
[03:47] going back and forth to this
[03:50] reporter
[03:52] saying I don't blame Ireland for what
[03:55] they have done I don't blame the Irish
[03:57] government for putting duties on our
[04:02] country play Cut 131 please put more
[04:06] Ties on the EU will you respond to their
[04:09] retaliation of course I'm going to
[04:11] respond you you will retali problem is
[04:13] our country didn't respond look the EU
[04:16] was set up in order to take advantage of
[04:18] the United States including Ireland is
[04:20] Ireland taking advantage of the US of
[04:23] course they are I can't you know I have
[04:25] great respect for Ireland or what they
[04:27] did and they should have done just what
[04:29] they did but the United States shouldn't
[04:31] have let it happen we had stupid leaders
[04:33] we had leaders that didn't have a clue
[04:35] or let's say they weren't business
[04:36] people but they didn't have a clue what
[04:38] was happening and all of a sudden
[04:40] Ireland has you know our
[04:42] Farmers that's him talking to the Tesa
[04:45] by the way you could see how poorly I
[04:46] pronounced it the tasa the leader of
[04:51] Ireland other countries can tariff the
[04:53] importation of American Goods but we
[04:55] don't tariff the importation of their
[04:58] goods now on the surface we thought we
[05:00] were getting the better end of the
[05:01] deal we said oh my goodness we get all
[05:04] of these cheap products we get
[05:06] mercedes-benzes we get Toyotas we get
[05:09] Samsungs but over
[05:12] time you can only go to the well so many
[05:15] times you can only go to the cheap money
[05:18] spigot so often and the more that you
[05:21] start to get high on the unlimited flow
[05:24] of cheap money the bill comes due and
[05:27] the bill has come due everybody with the
[05:29] the Chinese Communist party and our
[05:31] inability to make critical
[05:37] manufacturing Peter Navaro had an an
[05:39] amazing appearance on Jesse Waters and I
[05:42] want to break this down when he started
[05:44] talking about the details of the
[05:48] different tariffs that are put
[05:51] on American Goods let's play Cut 134
[05:55] please now there was a reason Jesse a
[05:58] reason why ter
[06:00] didn't cause a whiff of inflation during
[06:03] the first term we did historic tariffs
[06:05] on China we had steel and aluminum
[06:07] tariffs we had solar we had dishwash we
[06:10] had these beautiful tariffs bringing in
[06:13] billions of dollars we had price
[06:15] stability and growth and I buried the
[06:17] lead Jesse we are going to get the best
[06:21] tax cut in history paid for in large
[06:24] part by tariff revenues from around the
[06:27] world taking Jesse from the people who
[06:29] been cheating us around the world with
[06:31] higher tariffs and higher non-tariff
[06:33] barriers it's a beautiful bullish
[06:35] scenario we're bridging from Biden
[06:38] nomics to the bullishness of trump and
[06:41] nomics and what you see in the markets
[06:44] could be best described
[06:46] as a little bit of a expulsion I don't
[06:50] want to use too graphic language but you
[06:52] know it if you get the stomach flu with
[06:53] the Norovirus sometimes your body needs
[06:56] to expel some of the bad this is going
[07:00] to be a little bit of a a transition
[07:03] phase I don't like to use the word
[07:05] transitory too much because the other
[07:07] Administration butchered it look
[07:09] president Trump could easily not do this
[07:11] understand the decision in front of
[07:12] President Trump president Trump very
[07:16] easily could have said no tariffs keep
[07:18] the market untouched let the quote
[07:21] unquote good times roll and the American
[07:23] middle class suffers you do not have a
[07:25] nation you do not have a country you do
[07:27] not have a social contract or social
[07:29] compact if you do not have a robust
[07:33] middle
[07:34] class a middle class is one that owns
[07:38] property that pays your taxes that makes
[07:40] your goods and
[07:42] services it is so tempting to be nothing
[07:44] but a service economy but that has been
[07:46] the 1% that has done so well over the
[07:49] last 40 to 50 years Peter Navaro
[07:54] continues play Cut
[07:56] 133 we got the 3D thre dimension war on
[08:00] inflation right it's drill baby drill
[08:02] think about just going from $80 Barrel
[08:05] oil down to 50 you almost solve the
[08:07] whole thing right there but then you got
[08:09] deregulation and you got the Doge effect
[08:12] which is basically taking out waste
[08:14] Fraud and Abuse reducing our government
[08:16] debt what does that do that reduces
[08:19] Jesse mortgage rates and interest rates
[08:21] which helps stimulate the Home Market
[08:24] and allows consumers not to have that
[08:26] overhang of debt
[08:31] understand this what president Trump is
[08:33] doing write this down text your friends
[08:35] commit it to memory what president Trump
[08:38] is doing is completely
[08:42] reorganizing the
[08:43] philosophical the political the
[08:46] geopolitical and the moral posture of
[08:49] the federal
[08:51] government
[08:52] economically it's a big
[08:55] deal it's going to take a little bit of
[08:57] a process but coming out of it will
[09:00] become the strongest most robust
[09:01] longlasting American economy in history
[09:04] did you know that over 85% of grass-fed
[09:06] beef in stores is imported thanks to a
[09:08] loophole foreign meat can be labeled
[09:10] product of the USA just because it's
[09:13] packaged here that's why I trust good
[09:15] ranchers where 100% of their meat is
[09:17] born raised and harvested in America no
[09:19] shortcuts no questionable Imports just

[09:36] support American farmers honor our
[09:38] veterans and get the best meat in the
[09:40] country go to goodranchers.com American
[09:42] Meat delivered and there was an amazing
[09:45] clip that the Jesse Waters team pulled
[09:47] out that I said I got to play this on
[09:48] the show if you want to explain the
[09:51] birth the foundation the
[09:54] Catalyst of the Maga
[09:57] movement this clip
[09:59] summarizes better than almost any this
[10:01] is this sort of behavior is the Genesis
[10:04] of the populist movement to put this in
[10:07] perspective this is this clip happened
[10:09] before I was born this is from November
[10:12] of
[10:14] 1992 I was born in October of
[10:17] 1993 before I was even
[10:21] boring this is a reporter that went to
[10:25] Bethlehem
[10:26] Pennsylvania and was summarizing what we
[10:29] were just just describing so basically
[10:30] here's what happened is a bunch of smart
[10:32] guys like Mitt Romney and the consultant
[10:35] class the ruling class they all got
[10:38] their practitioner master's degrees from
[10:41] Harvard and what they were told is the
[10:44] most important thing is maximizing
[10:46] profit they were told the most important
[10:47] thing was maximizing the dollar you see
[10:51] but that's not the only political
[10:52] question that's the only economic
[10:54] question but when the political question
[10:56] you must balance human happiness
[10:57] Community Family crime
[11:02] displacement but if you only ask the
[11:05] economic maximization question
[11:08] especially those that have no interest
[11:11] in the well-being of the body politic of
[11:13] the nation or in the citizenry you get
[11:15] decisions like this so you go to place
[11:18] like Harvard and you get a master's
[11:19] degree from the Harvard Business School
[11:22] and the Harvard Business School will
[11:24] tell you it makes sense to shut down the
[11:26] mill because they're unionized it takes
[11:29] too long they're not as efficient so
[11:32] shut down the mill in Bethlehem
[11:34] Pennsylvania because let's just say a
[11:36] thing of Steel let's just use round
[11:38] numbers cost you a hundred bucks and in
[11:40] China you can get it for 60 bucks and
[11:44] yes you got to ship it and then but
[11:46] there'll be no tariff that's the key
[11:48] everybody that's the kicker if the
[11:51] American government would have said
[11:52] actually we're going to put a 10% tariff
[11:54] on the consultant class like Mitt Romney
[11:57] and all the Bane capital cabal they
[12:00] never would have been able to do
[12:02] this this example right here happened
[12:05] tens of thousands of times City by City
[12:08] neighborhood by neighborhood block by
[12:10] block and this eventually led to First
[12:14] Ross perau Ross perau was the first one
[12:17] to run under this energy he was the
[12:19] first one to recognize this this
[12:22] happened tens of thousands of times of
[12:24] plants closing and there were millions
[12:26] of people who lost their jobs so I want
[12:28] you to multiply what you were about to
[12:31] see an incredibly powerful piece of tape
[12:34] credit to the Jesse Waters production
[12:36] team for finding it Commit This one to
[12:38] memory this here is what led us to this
[12:41] moment and what president Trump is doing
[12:43] is simply fixing what happened before I
[12:46] was even born and now president Trump is
[12:47] getting blamed by that for the media
[12:49] he's fixing what happened in this tape
[12:52] the human tragedy's unfathomable it was
[12:54] a it was way too quick of a
[12:56] de-industrialization and drugs came in
[12:58] and opioids came in and crime came in
[13:00] unemployment came in and misery came in
[13:02] and suicide came in play Cut
[13:04] 141 for ages hot molten steel has been
[13:07] the lifeblood of Johnstown vigorously
[13:10] pumping dollars and jobs through the
[13:12] city's veins but now the pulse of the
[13:14] community is in Cardiac Arrest Bethlehem
[13:18] officials aren't making any more
[13:19] comments than what's contained in this
[13:21] press release they're sorry but it's
[13:23] simply not cost effective to run the
[13:25] mill any longer it it does hurt and
[13:28] there's a dramatic SP spin-off is going
[13:29] to come from that and uh there's going
[13:31] to be a lot of problems that have to be
[13:33] solved in part Bethlehem sites Fierce
[13:36] foreign competition and the national
[13:38] economy for their demise for some
[13:40] Bethlehem employees it's hard to look
[13:42] past the shocking news go don't rely on
[13:45] a corporation that don't want you in a
[13:48] sense they don't care you know you're
[13:50] only a
[13:52] number you know who that guy is right
[13:54] now 30 years
[13:55] later that guy is the guy the side of
[13:58] the street with the Maga flag that sits
[14:00] at Bethlehem Pennsylvania for 3 hours a
[14:02] day you that guy that just showed on the
[14:04] piece of tape there that's the guy that
[14:06] Waits 6 hours to go see President Trump
[14:08] speak at a magel now I'm of course
[14:10] exaggerating I don't know who this man
[14:11] is I'm saying the archetype of who this
[14:15] person
[14:16] is that guy whomever I don't even know
[14:18] if he's still living but he's a younger
[14:21] person in this or he might have died of
[14:23] heart disease and a broken heart
[14:25] divorced and poor because we decided
[14:29] to ship the factory
[14:33] overseas we broke the social compact we
[14:36] did that and understand just just
[14:39] remember this it is the experts who did
[14:42] this it is the same type of experts that
[14:44] told us six feet to slow the spread the
[14:47] same types of experts that came in all
[14:49] in the name of an abstraction called
[14:51] free trade free trade free
[14:53] trade on certain things of course if we
[14:56] can have reciprocal free trade but it
[14:59] was a neoliberal
[15:02] abstraction and what did it get us got
[15:06] us communities that look like
[15:10] Gaza and a lot of people suffering and
[15:13] also the rise of the magga movement
