Charlie Kirk Offers Biblical Guidance on Family Conflict, Arizona Politics, and Constitutional Principles for Conservative Members

March 15, 2025

Charlie Kirk answers member questions on navigating political and faith divisions within families, particularly for a Jewish believer in Jesus returning home to a left-leaning household. Kirk emphasizes the biblical commandment to honor parents while standing firm in faith, and discusses Arizona's political future, constitutional principles versus big government arguments, and strategies for high school conservatives facing administrative resistance. The discussion touches on economic pressures forcing mothers back to work, Wisconsin's crucial Supreme Court race, and U.S.-Canada relations amid tariff discussions.

Navigating Faith and Family Division with Biblical Wisdom

Charlie Kirk addresses a heartfelt question from Jennifer, a Jewish believer in Jesus who faces the challenging prospect of visiting her left-leaning family in New York. Kirk grounds his advice in Scripture, emphasizing the Fifth Commandment to honor your mother and father. He counsels Jennifer to establish boundaries by suggesting they avoid politics during the visit, while being prepared to defend her faith with love if questioned.

Kirk draws from cultural observations, citing Yarom Brooke's insight that Jewish households often feature vigorous intellectual debate even with young children, which may contribute to advanced reading and reasoning skills. He encourages Jennifer to let the Holy Spirit work through her presence and to report back on how the visit goes, offering to pray for her journey into what she describes as hostile territory.

New York's Energy Crisis and Federal Leverage

When Anthony from New York asks about Trump's meeting with Governor Kathy Hochul regarding pipelines and natural gas, Kirk addresses the state versus federal jurisdictional questions. While acknowledging that fracking bans are primarily state decisions, Kirk suggests Trump may have leverage through national forests governed by the Department of Interior.

Kirk condemns New York's moratorium on fracking and upcoming bans on natural gas hookups in new construction, calling it an insult to New Yorkers who could benefit from the job creation seen in neighboring Pennsylvania. He describes the war on liquid natural gas as tragic given New York's substantial natural gas reserves.

Arizona's Political Future and Untapped Potential

Christine, a 30-year Arizona resident, laments the state's shift from red to purple and asks about bringing Scott Pressler's election integrity work to Maricopa County. Kirk responds with optimism, pointing to President Trump's nearly 200,000-vote victory margin in Arizona as evidence of progress.

Kirk outlines an ambitious vision for Arizona's future, suggesting the state could become the "Florida of the West." He shares that a recent straw poll showed him in first place for a hypothetical gubernatorial run, though he clarifies he's not running and remains focused on Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action. His vision for Arizona includes becoming the AI capital of the American West, building desalination infrastructure to solve water issues, constructing three nuclear plants, and even a half-serious proposal to purchase Rocky Point from Mexico to give Arizona a coastline.

Economic Pressures on New Mothers and the Two-Income Trap

Beatrice, a California mother with a six-month-old, expresses anxiety about returning to work and asks about potential maternity leave policies under Trump. Kirk uses her situation to illustrate a broader economic crisis, citing statistics that in 1985 a family of four could be supported with 36 weeks of labor, while in 2025 it requires 56 weeks.

Kirk references Elizabeth Warren's book "The Two-Income Trap," calling it the best analysis of this phenomenon. He argues that forcing new mothers back into the workforce represents a fundamental failure of the economic model, stating there is nothing more noble than raising children. While acknowledging that paid family leave likely won't be in current legislation, he urges Beatrice to find ways to minimize work hours and maximize time with her child, suggesting work-from-home options and careful cost-saving measures.

Defending Constitutional Principles Against Big Government Arguments

Ashton, who identifies as a strict constitutionalist, asks how to counter arguments that America has grown too large and complex to be governed by the Constitution alone. Kirk responds by emphasizing that the Constitution was written to stand the test of time, not merely address the circumstances of the 1780s.

Kirk explains that the Constitution is fundamentally an analysis of human nature, drawing on the classical education of the Founding Fathers who studied Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Aquinas. He describes the Constitution as containing eternal truths about diffusing power across time and geography, preventing any one person from consolidating authority. Kirk directs Ashton to Hillsdale College's Constitution 101 online course, which he personally retakes annually, calling it the best resource for understanding why the Constitution remains the greatest and longest-lasting political document ever written. He argues that Liberty is not man's idea but God's idea, and the Constitution's brilliance lies in creating a structure that respects this truth regardless of technological or social changes.

High School Conservative Activism and Overcoming Institutional Resistance

Brad from Douglas County, Colorado, one of the state's most conservative counties, asks for advice helping a high school student who cannot find a teacher willing to sponsor a conservative chapter due to fear of reprisal from other staff. Kirk reveals a strategic rebrand in the works: renaming Turning Point High School chapters as "Club America" to make it harder for administrators and teachers to deny their formation.

Kirk emphasizes that the student has a constitutional right to charter a chapter and should appeal to administration. More importantly, he frames the struggle itself as valuable character development, quoting Hillsdale College: "Strength rejoices in the challenge." Even if the chapter doesn't materialize, Kirk assures Brad that the experience will mature the student and make him a better, stronger young man. He offers to send encouragement and a signed book, and invites the student to attend the Student Action Summit.

Wisconsin's Supreme Court Race and Preventing Gerrymandering

Bob from Wisconsin highlights the critical importance of the state Supreme Court race, noting that while Wisconsin is "red through and through" except for Dane County and Milwaukee County, the court currently has a 4-3 Democratic majority. With one justice leaving, getting the conservative candidate across the finish line becomes essential to preventing liberal gerrymandering that could flip the legislature and give Dane County's progressive activists statewide power.

Kirk asks what percentage of Trump supporters Bob knows are aware of the spring election. Bob estimates 100% of the Trump faithful know about it, which Kirk finds encouraging. However, Bob expresses concern about reaching younger voters who turned out for Trump but may not understand the importance of state-level races. Kirk acknowledges this challenge and expresses hope about Monday's event in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

U.S.-Canada Relations and Strategic Tariff Advice

The final question comes from Ted in British Columbia regarding Canada's new prime minister Mark Carney and potential advice for negotiations with Trump on tariffs. Kirk outlines a strategy focused on bringing the countries closer together: expediting the Keystone XL pipeline, being willing to sell Canada's $13 trillion in oil sands reserves, and using Canadian forces to secure the northern border against terrorist infiltration.

Kirk clarifies that his public advice centers on focusing attention on Mexican drug cartels and the Chinese Communist Party rather than Canada. He advocates for tariffing Mexico for harboring cartels and China for broader reasons, suggesting the U.S. should actually bring Canada closer as an ally against these threats. Kirk emphasizes that Mexican drug cartels have done enormous damage to the United States and should be the primary target of aggressive trade policy.

[00:00] Jennifer Jennifer what is on your mind

[00:01] Jennifer thanks for being a

[00:05] member hi Charlie I um am Jewish and

[00:09] also a believer in Jesus and I'm going

[00:11] home to New York to visit my family all

[00:14] of my family members are Jewish and very

[00:16] left on the political spectrum and I am

[00:19] very far right and I am the only

[00:22] believer and I'm unsure how to navigate

[00:25] the waters um it's been a year since

[00:27] I've been home and obviously a lot has

[00:30] changed so I I feel like I'm going into

[00:32] hostile territory and I wish to make a

[00:36] good impression for my faith well first

[00:39] of all uh God bless you and so let me

[00:43] ask you are you visiting uh first your

[00:46] parents and number two okay that because

[00:49] that that matters that that's not just

[00:51] cousins because the Bible is very clear

[00:53] about how you deal with parents versus

[00:55] just other random relatives so I'm going

[00:57] to comment on that from a Biblical

[00:59] perspective

[01:00] and then number two are they either

[01:03] serious about their faith and or do they

[01:05] care about

[01:07] Israel great questions um they are not

[01:11] serious about their faith it's more of a

[01:13] traditional Jewish background cultural

[01:15] New Yorkers grew up in New York City and

[01:19] um they do care about Israel but not

[01:22] it's nothing I ever knew of growing up I

[01:25] didn't know what Israel was so obviously

[01:27] it wasn't that big on the on the

[01:30] importance list um and my brother will

[01:33] also be there um and he is not concerned

[01:37] I don't think he's just more political

[01:39] than they they've been watching

[01:41] mainstream media for 70 years so so here

[01:44] here is my my take number one is that I

[01:48] would try to have some baseline and

[01:50] saying look we're we're not going to do

[01:51] any politics now that that's a that

[01:54] might not be well received and let me

[01:56] tell you why especially with your

[01:57] parents as you know in the ten command

[02:00] ments the fifth commandment is honor

[02:02] your mother and father so that you may

[02:03] live long in the land of which you are

[02:05] in we are called to honor our parents it

[02:07] doesn't say hey only honor them if you

[02:10] have the same politics or only honor

[02:13] them if you see the world the same way

[02:15] but number two as someone who has also

[02:18] uh found Yeshua Jesus Christ if that

[02:21] does come up you it says in the

[02:24] scriptures be equipped to have an answer

[02:26] if you are questioned but do so in love

[02:29] in constantly try to diffuse if there's

[02:32] provocation say guys I'm not here to

[02:34] debate I'm not here to you know have a

[02:37] combative thing let's have a a sweet

[02:39] time together I honor you as my parents

[02:42] and let's find other things to talk

[02:44] about at the same time if you feel

[02:46] comfortable because look in some Jewish

[02:49] households they're uh they're

[02:51] notoriously known for having uh very

[02:54] contentious discussions uh in fact there

[02:58] is a there's a very good argument to be

[03:00] made I got this from yarin Brooke

[03:02] actually from the iron Rand Institute

[03:04] even though I think he's wrong on a lot

[03:05] of stuff very smart point and he's

[03:07] Israeli he was he once said one of the

[03:09] reasons why Jewish kids tend to be a

[03:11] little more advanced when it comes to

[03:13] reading and writing is because you sit

[03:16] at the table at like the age of two or

[03:18] three at a Jewish uh Jewish you know

[03:20] meal and you have to defend your

[03:22] position and your point and if not your

[03:24] uncle would just say that's stupid you

[03:25] almost have to reason at a young age I

[03:27] don't know if you can sympathize with

[03:28] that or not Jennifer I can yes and so uh

[03:32] it's it's it's it's built into Jewish

[03:34] culture that you better come with a good

[03:36] idea and a good argument if not the

[03:38] adult will not just treat you as a kid

[03:39] it be you got to really um kind of

[03:42] fasten and sharpen your reason so

[03:45] Jennifer I'm going to pray for you um I

[03:47] know that this is very difficult uh but

[03:50] the Lord is with you and read your Bible

[03:52] going into that situation and I'll leave

[03:54] you with a Bible verse 1 Corinthians

[03:56] 16:13 be on guard stand firm in the

[03:59] faith and be courageous and be strong

[04:01] and Jennifer send me an email how it

[04:03] goes and maybe the holy spirit will be

[04:05] at work God bless you thank you all

[04:08] right Anthony Anthony what is on your

[04:10] mind thank you for being a member what's

[04:12] up hey Charlie what's going on um so I

[04:14] have a question because not many people

[04:16] understand what goes on in New York

[04:18] Trump is meeting with hok today our

[04:19] governor and I know one of the things on

[04:22] the docket is this pipeline that goes

[04:24] through the New England states that he

[04:26] wants to have come through New York to

[04:27] help lower cost by $5,000 a month or a

[04:30] year whatever it came out to be the

[04:32] issue is hok and the previous Governor

[04:34] Cuomo have made sure that no fracking no

[04:37] pipelines will come through and come

[04:40] next year any new houses built in New

[04:42] York state cannot have natural gas

[04:44] hookup and then a couple years later new

[04:46] buildings can't have natural gas hookup

[04:48] so how does the EPA and how does TR can

[04:51] Trump do anything to override all these

[04:53] and I know they're state level but what

[04:55] can they do because New York has a ton

[04:57] of natural gas yes does it's a great

[05:01] question it is look if a state doesn't

[05:03] want to Frack it is going to be a

[05:05] state's right decision however and it is

[05:08] a big however there's a fair amount and

[05:11] this is where I think Trump has some

[05:12] leverage of national forest in New York

[05:16] if I'm not mistaken so I don't know if

[05:19] it's all state forest or national forest

[05:22] but National Forest is of course

[05:24] governed by the department of interior

[05:26] so there I mean there is a major so the

[05:30] mountains I think is largely state

[05:32] governed but there might yes that's a

[05:34] state park yeah I think there are some

[05:36] national forest nearby I I could be

[05:38] wrong with that being said is that Kathy

[05:41] hokel should resend the moratorium on

[05:44] fracking because it would create so many

[05:46] jobs for the people in New York look

[05:47] what it's happening in Pennsylvania and

[05:49] I think it is an insult and a tragedy

[05:51] that New York is not doing the same

[05:52] thing Anthony thanks so much really

[05:54] appreciate it let's go to uh uh the war

[05:57] on liquid natural gas is just unbel

[06:00] believable Christine uh thank you for

[06:02] being a member members. Charly kirk.com

[06:04] what's on your mind hi Charlie um I was

[06:08] super happy to be at amfest in December

[06:10] it was a absolutely electric time I am

[06:14] originally from Pennsylvania and I have

[06:15] lived in northern Arizona for over 30

[06:17] years wow when I first moved here um the

[06:21] state was red and in 30 years it has

[06:24] gone South is Scott Pressler available

[06:28] to leave with wiconsin and come to

[06:31] Maricopa County and help us

[06:33] out well yeah I mean we also have

[06:35] Turning Point here as well so no I know

[06:39] I know I know I I mean you guys are

[06:41] amazing and everything you're doing I am

[06:43] blown away by what you've created in

[06:46] such a short amount of time but um what

[06:50] can we do to get Fair elections within

[06:52] that County which tends to turn the

[06:54] entire State yeah well first I will say

[06:56] there is hope and I agree with you that

[06:58] it has gone South and we need to kind of

[07:00] turn this around but let's look at

[07:01] everything that we accomplished uh this

[07:04] last cycle uh it was President Trump's

[07:06] best ever performance in the state of

[07:07] Arizona a five and a half Point Victory

[07:10] almost 200,000 uh votes over uh kamla

[07:13] Harris uh we are Full Speed Ahead to win

[07:16] back the governor's race the attorney

[07:18] general and the Secretary of State's

[07:20] race and I think we're going to turn

[07:21] this into the Florida of the West it's

[07:23] not going to be easy but we're going to

[07:24] be pouring a lot of money in to this

[07:27] state and a lot of attention and a lot

[07:29] of ballot chasing people say Charlie

[07:30] what's your plan for the midterms my

[07:32] number one plan is to defend our home is

[07:35] we're going to get a lot of attention

[07:36] here in Arizona uh we have a great

[07:38] following here in Arizona no I'm not

[07:40] running for governor people keep on

[07:42] asking for that in fact there was a poll

[07:44] that came out we haven't talked about

[07:45] this on the program that showed that I

[07:46] was in first place if there was a straw

[07:48] poll for governor it was really

[07:49] something else and and I'm I'm not

[07:52] running people say oh you know you

[07:54] should run I said I'm running Turning

[07:55] Point USA and turning point action doing

[07:57] the show but to answer your question

[07:59] we're going to continue to chase votes

[08:01] and to register voters and turn Arizona

[08:04] into a red Paradise if I had nothing

[08:07] else going on it of course would be

[08:09] somewhat tempting to run for governor

[08:11] alongside Byron and V because I think

[08:14] Arizona could kick the tale of Florida

[08:16] and Ohio are you kidding me I mean you

[08:18] want to go be a Florida man in the I5

[08:20] Corridor or Orlando or do you want to go

[08:22] live in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona I

[08:24] mean no offense to Ohio but you'd be

[08:26] lucky if the sun comes out once in

[08:28] February March there is so much untapped

[08:32] potential in Arizona there again I'm not

[08:34] I'm not running for govern or anything

[08:35] but the the lack of vision that some of

[08:37] these candidates have for Arizona we

[08:39] should become the AI super uh super

[08:41] capital of the American West number one

[08:43] number two we should be the

[08:44] desalination capital of the world we

[08:47] could fix our water program overnight

[08:48] number three we need to build like three

[08:50] nuclear plants number four work with the

[08:52] federal government to purchase Rocky

[08:53] Point not a joke we need a coastline buy

[08:56] it from Mexico extend Arizona and byy

[08:59] the way Mexico can get tucon back and

[09:00] I'm half kidding thank you so much

[09:02] what's the next question uh beis beis

[09:05] what's on your mind uh thanks for being

[09:06] a member members. Charly kirk.com

[09:09] hi Charlie can you hear me yes what's on

[09:11] your mind thanks for being a member hi

[09:14] um so um first um so I have a almost

[09:20] six-month-old and um I mean I've just

[09:24] been super anxious about having to go

[09:25] back to work and everything so I was

[09:26] just uh wondering um you know for the

[09:29] future um does President Trump have any

[09:31] plans for like maternity leave or

[09:33] anything like that as far as like making

[09:35] it potentially better yeah that I don't

[09:38] think it's going to happen in this bill

[09:40] um I I do recommend you know

[09:43] homeschooling your kids how I know it

[09:44] might be really tough so so

[09:46] beatric I this this is a sad State of

[09:49] Affairs and you are a victim of a larger

[09:52] economic problem so I don't mean to

[09:53] Pride but is it one of those things

[09:56] where you have to work in order to

[09:58] support your family with your husband or

[10:00] your partner am I fair to say

[10:02] that yeah correct yeah we're in

[10:04] California if that changes anything so

[10:06] so this is so this is so important and

[10:08] be a TR here here's the problem and you

[10:11] are a perfect example of this because I

[10:13] would imagine you would rather not work

[10:15] than work am is that fair correct yeah

[10:18] but of course staying at home is working

[10:20] everybody this is the kicker in

[10:23] 1985 you could support a family of four

[10:26] in America with 36 weeks of labor

[10:29] in 2025 it requires 56 weeks of wet

[10:33] labor that's more than 52 weeks and

[10:35] that's for one person what does that

[10:36] mean Elizabeth Warren Believe It or Not

[10:39] wrote the best book in beat if you want

[10:41] some light reading you could read it

[10:42] this was like 15 years ago it was called

[10:44] the two income trap beatric I think it

[10:48] is wrong that we are forcing new mothers

[10:50] back into the workforce because our

[10:52] economic model is so screwed up I say

[10:55] that as a conservative there is nothing

[10:57] more noble than raising your kids there

[11:00] is nothing more noble than raising your

[11:02] children and so incomes are not keeping

[11:04] up enough to be able to raise kids the

[11:08] way you want to and so instead you have

[11:09] to do daycare and all that so here's the

[11:11] only thing that I would recommend viatri

[11:13] and just my one call to action do

[11:15] whatever you possibly can to try to cost

[11:18] saave try to not work all the time to be

[11:21] there to raise your child uh that is

[11:23] time you'll never get back I know it's

[11:24] so hard and I know because of the cost

[11:26] of living and because of inflation it's

[11:29] difficult but uh that is my my piece of

[11:32] advice I have pushed for paid family

[11:34] leave for quite some time I think we

[11:36] should have it and look there's a lot of

[11:38] work from home options as well home

[11:40] office uh things of that nature God

[11:42] bless you be a trisen thank you for

[11:43] being a member let's let's send her a

[12:23] okay Ashton uh Ashton thank you for

[12:26] being a member Ashton what is on your

[12:28] mind and please unmute

[12:30] yourself hey can you hear me Ashton yes

[12:32] how are you thanks for being a member

[12:34] awesome thank you yeah I just had a real

[12:36] quick question um so just for people I

[12:39] mean I consider myself more of a strict

[12:40] constitutionalist you know believing

[12:42] that just the Constitution is the law of

[12:44] the land that kind of General Viewpoint

[12:46] what would you say is the best way to

[12:48] kind of communicate that when you're

[12:49] talking with people who would be more

[12:51] like performing a big government

[12:53] specifically when people are like

[12:56] bringing forth the argument that the

[12:57] country is so big now there's so many

[12:58] people that it's too large just be

[13:01] governed by the Constitution and then

[13:03] sort of the three branches of government

[13:05] that you need to have more of these

[13:06] federal agencies involved in that

[13:08] process yeah so um it's a good question

[13:12] the person who's asking it uh doesn't

[13:14] understand human nature so the

[13:16] Constitution was not written for the

[13:18] times it was written to stand the test

[13:20] of time the Constitution first and

[13:22] foremost alongside the Declaration and

[13:25] Dr Larry AR in his book The founders key

[13:27] talks about this that the Declaration

[13:29] and the Constitution are one document in

[13:31] the same as first and foremost an

[13:34] analysis an argument on human

[13:37] nature it was about the order of things

[13:40] as the classics would say you see every

[13:42] founding father was studied in the

[13:43] classics of Socrates and Plato and

[13:45] Aristotle and aquinus they

[13:47] knew their great ideas and their great

[13:50] thinkers so the Constitution has Eternal

[13:53] truth within it the Eternal truth that

[13:56] not one man should govern the

[13:57] Constitution spread power over

[14:01] time and it spreads time it spreads

[14:04] power over land in fact it gives states

[14:07] rights it diffuses power in very unique

[14:11] ways so Ashley I'm not able to kind of

[14:13] give you the entire Constitution speech

[14:15] that I would like to for the sake of

[14:16] time but here's what I can direct you to

[14:20] is that the best of all the Hillsdale

[14:22] online courses is the Hillsdale online

[14:25] course intro to the constitution in fact

[14:26] Ryan can attest to this I have been

[14:28] stuck it again the last couple of

[14:31] days I relisten and retake the Hillsdale

[14:35] online course on Constitution 101 once a

[14:38] year and Ashton you'll realize the

[14:42] profundity and the Brilliance of what

[14:44] our founding fathers authored because in

[14:47] order to have a free government you must

[14:49] have a form and a structure that

[14:51] respects and responds to the idea that

[14:54] Liberty is not man's idea but it is

[14:57] God's idea the Constitution is the

[15:00] greatest political document ever written

[15:01] and it is the longest lasting of its

[15:03] kind by the way because it was not just

[15:05] written for oh what happened in 1780 but

[15:08] for human beings everywhere that is why

[15:10] the First Amendment does not just apply

[15:12] to writing letters across the Atlantic

[15:14] but it also applies to tweets that you

[15:17] send out or Facebook posts because human

[15:19] nature does not change even though times

[15:21] do let's go to Brad Brad thank you for

[15:23] being a member members. Charly kirk.com

[15:25] what is on your

[15:26] mind hey Charlie uh thank you for all

[15:29] the work that you're doing uh everywhere

[15:32] fantastic

[15:33] stuff uh I've got a high schooler nearby

[15:37] who wants to start a chapter and he has

[15:40] approached a couple of uh teachers that

[15:43] he thought might be

[15:45] conservative um it's interesting that

[15:47] there's only one or two that he can

[15:50] identify because this is one of the more

[15:53] uh most conservative counties in

[15:55] Colorado what county but having trouble

[15:58] finding finding a sponsor uh both have

[16:02] declined uh because they're fearful of

[16:05] reprisal from other staff so what would

[16:08] you suggest how how can he move forward

[16:11] what what county is he in I'm just

[16:13] curious Douglas County in Colorado Okay

[16:16] so a couple things number one um

[16:19] obviously don't give up number two

[16:21] though this is largely why at our high

[16:24] school program uh we are renaming and

[16:26] rebranding the Turning Point High School

[16:28] scho chapters which will still be that

[16:30] that in practice to calling them Club

[16:32] America it'll be a lot harder for high

[16:35] school teachers to deny them I think you

[16:37] can resonate the wisdom behind that and

[16:39] the high school department has been

[16:41] pushing for that for a while and it's

[16:43] nothing against turning point but you

[16:44] you get it you're 15 16 years old these

[16:46] teachers are skittish and so they will

[16:48] be Club America chapters brought to you

[16:50] by turning point USA which I think is

[16:51] brilliant and it'll be a lot harder for

[16:53] these teachers to kind of say no to that

[16:56] I I wish I had better advice other than

[16:59] he has a constitutional right to Charter

[17:02] a chapter of his

[17:04] choosing I think he should appeal to the

[17:06] administration appealed to somebody say

[17:08] hey can just some teachers sign on to

[17:10] this and this is a culture of

[17:13] intimidation our Turning Point USA young

[17:15] Patriots they experience this on a daily

[17:18] basis but I'd love to uh send a note of

[17:21] encouragement uh to him and also uh

[17:24] maybe a signed book last thing I'll say

[17:26] is this is that even if it doesn't work

[17:30] out the process and the difficulty that

[17:33] he has to experience will mature him and

[17:37] will make him a better stronger young

[17:40] man as he grows up meaning this will be

[17:44] a phenomenal experience for him and so I

[17:47] know absolutely I'm sorry please I'm

[17:50] getting a lot of people my ear see

[17:51] please what' you say oh just totally

[17:54] agreeing absolutely that that struggle

[17:57] is going to instill in him uh drive and

[18:01] perseverance and uh make him a better

[18:04] man and I will I will reiterate

[18:08] this there is a great quote at Hillsdale

[18:11] College but it's not their quote but

[18:12] they use it

[18:14] strength rejoices in the challenge so

[18:18] tell him that in the challenge you

[18:20] should be

[18:21] rejoicing this will make you understand

[18:23] the world is not an easy place with safe

[18:25] spaces and cookies and milk and Trigger

[18:28] warnings and even if it doesn't work out

[18:30] he'll have a great Turning Point USA

[18:32] community and finally we'd love to have

[18:34] him come to our student action Summit uh

[18:37] I want to just throw the graphic up on

[18:38] screen here as we are uh having our next

[18:41] member what is our next member name let

[18:43] me see

[18:44] here Bo Bob not Bo

[18:49] Bob Bob thank you for sorry they wrote

[18:52] Bo but they meant Bob Bob thank you for

[18:55] being a member I hope to see you on

[18:56] Monday in okon walk what is on your mind

[19:00] uh yeah I'm just I'm happy you brought

[19:02] it up because uh you know here in the

[19:04] state of Wisconsin we are definitely

[19:05] read through and through except for Daye

[19:07] County and uh Milwaukee County obviously

[19:11] and uh it's it's just kind of crazy that

[19:13] uh you know our legislature is

[19:15] Republican but uh our Supreme Court

[19:18] right now is um you know 4-3 Democratic

[19:22] and now that she's leaving we've got to

[19:24] get uh shimo across the line because if

[19:26] they if we allow that Supreme Court in

[19:28] they're going to gerrymander them the

[19:30] districts and we might lose Wisconsin

[19:32] forever because they're going to get

[19:34] that legislature over to you know a

[19:36] liberal legislature and all the think

[19:39] tank in uh Dane County is just going to

[19:42] you know infect the rest of the or have

[19:45] the power to infect the rest of the

[19:46] state super quick I have a question for

[19:48] you Bob what percentage of the Trump

[19:51] faithful people that you know are aware

[19:54] and planning to vote on this spring

[19:56] election 100% of the people that that's

[19:59] a good sign that's a great sign Bob that

[20:01] gives me hope well yeah yeah but it's I

[20:04] think more people it's just so hard to

[20:05] get people to go out for elections like

[20:07] this um thankfully we have like I have

[20:09] the Turning Point action app I have

[20:12] Commit 100 um you know Scott Pressler

[20:15] here doing his thing is amazing to have

[20:17] but uh it's still just where it's it's

[20:19] you know we we had a lot of young people

[20:21] uh thanks to you and your organization

[20:23] that went out and voted for Trump it's

[20:25] harder to get them to understand how

[20:27] important it is on the state level

[20:29] um so that's the big thing you know I

[20:31] have a bunch of 20 year olds I I have a

[20:34] 20-year-old son and you know I just

[20:36] every one of his friends I'm talking to

[20:37] and it's just trying to get them to go

[20:39] vote you know for something they don't

[20:42] hear a bunch about is is the is the the

[20:45] hump to get

[20:46] over very good well thank you Bob hope

[20:49] to see you on Monday in okon walk God

[20:51] bless thank you yep thank you okay uh

[20:55] final question of the day of the week is

[20:58] Ted by the way if you guys want to

[20:59] register to the event one more time

[21:00] throw it up TP action.com Hall TP

[21:03] action.com Hall Ted you're the final

[21:05] question make it

[21:07] quick hi Charlie uh calling from British

[21:10] Columbia again uh spoke last week today

[21:13] Canada got a new prime minister Mark

[21:15] Carney uh former governor of the Bank of

[21:18] Canada the bank of England we also now

[21:21] may likely have an a federal election

[21:23] before May where another uh leader may

[21:26] take over the conservative leader Pierre

[21:27] PV

[21:29] uh if you were advising either of these

[21:31] men on their negotiations with Trump on

[21:33] the current tariff War what would you

[21:35] say if I was advising the Canadian side

[21:39] um so what I would say I I like Ezra's

[21:42] idea I would try to bring both our

[21:44] countries closer together number one I

[21:47] would advise them to try to expedite the

[21:50] Keystone XL pipeline number two be

[21:52] willing to sell the $ 13 trillion of oil

[21:56] oil sands number three I I would use the

[22:00] Canadian Troopers to really shut down

[22:03] the northern border it's just

[22:05] non-negotiable the advice I would give

[22:08] is I'd say look we are going to help

[22:10] secure this border America so you no

[22:11] longer have terrorists flowing across

[22:13] the border that's the advice that I

[22:15] would give here's my also public advice

[22:17] for whatever it's worth I think that all

[22:20] of our attention needs to be on the

[22:22] Mexican drug cartels and the Chinese

[22:23] Communist party we should tariff Mexico

[22:26] for harboring cartels we should terar

[22:28] China for obvious reasons those are the

[22:31] two in fact I think we should bring

[22:33] Canada closer to us to go after the

[22:36] Mexican drug cartels the Mexican drug

[22:38] cartels have done enormous damage to our

[22:41] country that is my advice thanks so much

[22:43] for being a member man thanks really
