Wall Street Journal's Failed Attack on President Trump
Breaking news developed as the Wall Street Journal attempted what Charlie Kirk calls a terrible drive-by attack on President Trump. Kirk, wearing his Rush Limbaugh "Rush was right" t-shirt, immediately identified the story as suspicious and fake. The bombshell story centered on a supposed birthday card album assembled for Jeffrey Epstein by Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003.
According to the Wall Street Journal report, there was no actual photo of the letter in question or the birthday cards supposedly sent by other people. The card was only described by the Wall Street Journal, which cited "people familiar with them," indicating they clearly didn't see the whole thing. The card allegedly contained a hand-drawn illustration of a naked woman done in marker with Donald Trump's signature over her midsection to apparently imitate pubic hair for Epstein's 50th birthday.
The implication was that Trump might have made this illustration himself, which Kirk finds bizarre and completely out of character. Kirk points out that he has several handwritten notes from President Trump, noting that the president is not a doodler or drawer. The story included a typed up third-person conversation between Trump and Epstein where the lines attributed to Trump don't sound like him at all, including quotes like "Enigmas never age" and "May every day be a wonderful secret."
Kirk asks his audience directly: Does that sound like President Donald Trump? Having watched Trump for over a decade doing MAGA rallies since he went down the golden escalator, nothing in the Wall Street Journal story sounds remotely like something Trump would write on his own. Trump himself said this was all a hoax, and Kirk agrees completely.
Trump's Immediate and Historic Response
Within literally an hour of the Wall Street Journal releasing their hit piece, President Donald Trump announced a bombshell development. Trump authorized Attorney General Pam Bondi to move to unseal the grand jury testimony in the Ghislaine Maxwell case. Kirk and his team had discussed this possibility several times throughout the week, and this represented a massive development that needs to be the focus for anyone who cares about the Epstein story.
What's likely to be in the transcripts? Testimony of Epstein and Maxwell victims and witnesses, particularly their actions, associations, locations, and timelines. Discussions of physical and documentary evidence are likely to be included. Maxwell's phone wiretap records, log books, private island evidence, and photographic evidence may be referenced in the grand jury documents, though certain experts note that these transcripts may be limited in scope, focusing on Epstein and Maxwell rather than broader allegations among other high-profile individuals.
Despite potential limitations, Kirk considers this a phenomenal development and extends his thanks to President Trump and the entire Trump administration for taking this step toward transparency.
Defending "My Friends in the Administration"
Kirk addresses why his team played "I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends" at the beginning of the show, explaining it was a light-hearted joke and a wink and a nod to recent controversy. Kirk went viral earlier in the week when he said that many people he knows in the administration, his friends in the White House staff and throughout the government, were working on Epstein transparency issues after voices were heard at the Student Action Summit over the weekend.
People mocked Kirk, asking "Do you trust the government?" Kirk clarifies that he wasn't saying he trusts the government in general, but rather that his friends were working on this specific issue. It turns out they were, and they deserve great credit for it. Kirk extends gratitude to all the White House staff and everyone involved in this effort, especially the president.
This represents a massive move met with celebration and gratitude, and one that honestly shows President Trump is moving in a transparent way that Joe Biden never did. Biden very well could have moved to unseal the grand jury documents, but never did. Many of these things have been in the works, and Kirk admits he didn't know how long any of this was going to take.
Easter Eggs and Earning Our Trust
Kirk notes that his show is full of little Easter eggs and tidbits at times, and instead of assuming the worst, he wants everyone to see things more clearly. He asks a fundamental question: Has President Trump not earned our trust at this time? That's what Kirk was trying to say back on Monday, though he admits he may have said it a little imprecisely after a sleepless weekend following a high-adrenaline event.
What Kirk was trying to get at is that after the tariffs, after the Iran situation, after all the successes, President Donald Trump is worthy of confidence. Americans should have a full confidence vote in President Donald Trump. Throughout the entire week, there were many questions about what was going on, and now on Friday, two major things happened: Trump gets attacked relentlessly by the Wall Street Journal in an uncalled-for way, and Kirk and his team have his back 100% against this smearing and slandering.
Second, President Donald Trump authorized Pam Bondi in a historic way to show a commitment to transparency and what he has said this entire week. He always had an ace in the hole to play, and he played it. Trump dropped this massive news and had been alluding to it all week, saying "I want the credible information out. You know, if it's credible, we should get it out." The grand jury documentation largely is credible and should be received as such.
Not Slowing Down Administration Momentum
Kirk emphasizes that we cannot let what happened this last week slow down the momentum of this great administration. The program won't let that happen. This is very important, and the president deserves thanks. For anyone in the audience who was a little uneasy or anxious, Kirk believes it's morally incumbent to say thank you to President Trump for stepping up and doing this, for fulfilling what he said he was going to do, because he does deserve credit.
The entire White House administration deserves credit because they've been dealing with 900 different things. Kirk acknowledges that patience in the time of social media is a virtue that is lost and very difficult for many people. He admits he's one of the most impatient people imaginable, and his entire team will attest to this, constantly asking "Where's it going? What's happening in real time?"
But taking a step back, President Donald Trump is doing a phenomenal job. The border is secure. The economy is doing much better. He's ending wars all over the world. He has earned one of Kirk's favorite words in the English language: confidence. He has earned it. Kirk believes we should recognize that at this particular time, this is a massive move, a major move that is deserving of gratitude and thanks with all the other stuff Trump is working on.
What Unites MAGA and Who Defended Trump
Kirk notes that nothing unites MAGA quite like fake news. It was interesting to see that the DOJ news became secondary to the fake Wall Street Journal story. It was very telling to see who actually came to the president's defense when the Wall Street Journal piece was dropped. A lot of people were coming to the president's defense after the Pam Bondi news, but many people did not defend the president initially against the Wall Street Journal attack.
Kirk finds the entire story ridiculous. The picture of Donald Trump as someone who would create this kind of doodle is a joke, as if he's some sort of artist or Robert Frost as a poet. It doesn't read like him. It doesn't sound like him. Kirk doesn't believe it and says the Wall Street Journal story does not pass the smell test.
One important question Kirk raises: Why didn't Democrats use this story years ago if it actually existed? Last night was a big night, and Kirk says thank you to President Trump. Now it's in the hands of the courts and the Department of Justice, and we'll see what happens next.

[00:40] studio.
[00:44] The studio is playing some music here.
[00:47] [Music]
[00:51] Oh, is that uh
[00:53] I I get along with a little help of my
[00:55] friends. Oh, baby.
[00:58] Joe Crocker.
[01:01] Happy Friday, everybody. There's some
[01:03] breaking news happening that developed
[01:05] last night. I get along with a little
[01:06] help of my friends. Brian's looking
[01:08] around very confused.
[01:11] It'll all make sense in just a second.
[01:13] Breaking last night, the Wall Street
[01:15] Journal attempted a terrible driveby, as
[01:19] the great Rush Limbbo would say it, as
[01:20] I'm wearing my Rush was right t-shirt,
[01:23] of our phenomenal president. I mean this
[01:26] as soon as I read the story I said this
[01:28] is the dumbest obviously fakest thing. I
[01:31] don't believe it. Apparently it was some
[01:33] sort of like a pseudo love letter. The
[01:37] bombshell story was some kind of
[01:39] birthday card album assem assembled for
[01:42] Epstein by Galain Maxwell in 2003.
[01:46] There's no photo of the letter in
[01:48] question or the birthday cards
[01:49] supposedly sent by other people. It only
[01:52] described by the Wall Street Journal,
[01:54] which also cites people familiar with
[01:56] them, so they clearly didn't see the
[01:57] whole thing. The card has some sort of a
[02:00] handdrawn illustration of a naked woman
[02:02] done in marker and then Donald Trump's
[02:04] signature over her midsection to
[02:07] apparently imitate pubic hair. It's just
[02:09] like so for Epstein's 50th birthday. The
[02:13] implication is that Trump might have
[02:14] made this illustration himself, which
[02:16] just sounds so bizarre. When has he ever
[02:18] done anything like this? Look, I have
[02:20] several
[02:21] handwritten notes from President Trump.
[02:23] He's not a doodler. He He's not a draw.
[02:26] I mean, this is this is nothing like him
[02:28] at all. I mean,
[02:31] these are Yeah. So,
[02:35] there's a typed up third person
[02:37] conversation between Trump and Epste
[02:39] where the lines attributed to Trump
[02:40] don't sound like him at at all. Like
[02:42] this quote, "Enigmas never age." Okay,
[02:45] let me just say this. I I know the
[02:47] president. You guys know the president.
[02:49] You have watched him for over a decade
[02:51] do MAGA rallies ever since he went down
[02:53] the golden escalator. Does quote enigmas
[02:56] never age quote may every day be a
[02:58] wonderful secret. Does that sound like
[03:01] President Donald Trump?
[03:03] Trump never said that says Trump says
[03:06] this was all a hoax and says as far as
[03:07] he's concerned it sounds like it.
[03:09] Nothing sounds remotely like Trump that
[03:11] he would write up on his own. And so the
[03:12] Wall Street Journal releases this last
[03:14] night. Now, I quickly and we quickly
[03:18] came to the president's defense because
[03:19] this thing was obviously a hit job.
[03:21] Obviously, a drive-by shooting trying to
[03:23] go after President Trump, trying to tie
[03:25] some of the Epstein news to President
[03:28] Trump to try to bring down his approval
[03:31] ratings and try to weaken him. Right
[03:34] after that though was a like literally
[03:36] within an hour, President Donald Trump
[03:39] announced a bombshell development,
[03:42] massive, where President Donald Trump
[03:44] announced that he is authorizing Pam
[03:47] Bondi to move to unseal the grand jury
[03:51] testimony in the Galileain Maxwell case.
[03:53] We discussed this a couple times
[03:55] throughout the week. This is a massive
[03:58] development. This is something that
[03:59] needs to be focused on for for any of
[04:01] you that care about the Epstein story.
[04:03] What's likely to be in the transcripts?
[04:05] Well, testimony of Epstein and Maxwell
[04:07] victims and witnesses. In particular,
[04:10] their actions, their associations,
[04:11] locations, and timelines. Discussions of
[04:14] physical and documentary evidence is
[04:16] likely to be in there. Uh Maxwell's
[04:18] phone wiretap records, log books,
[04:20] private island, and photographic
[04:21] evidence. We don't know for sure if
[04:23] that's going to be in there, but any
[04:24] references to any of that stuff very
[04:26] well might be in the grand jury
[04:28] documents. However, certain experts note
[04:30] that these transcripts may be limited in
[04:32] scope. Uh they will focus on Epstein and
[04:35] Maxwell, not on the broader allegations
[04:37] among other high-profile individuals.
[04:39] But still, this is a phenomenal
[04:41] development, and thank you, President
[04:43] Trump, and thank you to this Trump
[04:44] administration. So, the team decided to
[04:46] play, you know, I get along with the
[04:48] help of my friends as a little bit kind
[04:49] of a as a light-hearted joke and a
[04:51] little bit of a wink and a nod. You see,
[04:54] I went viral uh this week because I
[04:56] said, "Look, a lot of people that I know
[04:58] in the administration, my friends and
[05:00] the White House staff and throughout the
[05:01] government, uh they were working on this
[05:03] that your voices were heard over the
[05:05] weekend at the student action summit and
[05:07] people were mocking me. They say, "Oh,
[05:09] Charlie, do you trust the government?" I
[05:10] said, "Look, okay, was I a I'm not
[05:13] saying I trust the government." I say,
[05:14] "My friends are working on this." Well,
[05:15] it turns out it's well, it looks like
[05:18] they were and they deserve great credit
[05:19] for it. for all the White House staff,
[05:21] for everyone that was involved in this,
[05:22] and especially of course the president.
[05:25] This is a massive move and one that is
[05:27] met with celebration and one that is met
[05:29] with gratitude and one that honestly
[05:31] shows that President Trump is moving in
[05:33] a transparent way that Joe Biden never
[05:35] moved. Joe Biden very well could have
[05:37] moved to uh unseal the grand jury
[05:40] documents. Many of these things have
[05:42] been in the works, and I didn't know how
[05:45] long any of this was going to take,
[05:46] obviously. Uh, and look, this this show
[05:49] is full of at times little Easter eggs
[05:51] and tidbits. And instead of assuming the
[05:53] worst, perhaps I want everyone to see
[05:55] things more clearly. And again, has
[05:58] President Trump not earned our trust at
[06:00] this time. That's what I was trying to
[06:01] say back on Monday, and maybe I said it
[06:03] a little imprecisely after a sleepless
[06:05] weekend and a high adrenaline event.
[06:08] What I was trying to get at is after the
[06:10] tariffs, after the Iran a after the Iran
[06:12] situation, after all the successes,
[06:15] President Donald Trump is worthy of our
[06:18] confidence. We should have a full
[06:19] confidence vote in President Donald
[06:21] Trump. And throughout the entire week, I
[06:24] know that there was a lot of question
[06:26] of, hey, what's going on here? What's
[06:28] going on here? And now here we are on
[06:30] Friday. Number one, he gets attacked
[06:32] just relentlessly by the Wall Street
[06:34] Journal in such an uncalled for way. and
[06:36] we have his back 100% against this
[06:38] smearing and the slandering. And then
[06:41] number two, President Donald Trump has
[06:43] authorized Pam Bondi in a in a historic
[06:46] way to show a commitment to transparency
[06:48] and what he has said this entire week
[06:53] and he has always had an ace in the hole
[06:55] to play. Boom. Last night, President
[06:58] Donald Trump drops this massive news and
[07:01] President Donald Trump has been alluding
[07:02] to that all week. I want the credible
[07:04] information out. You know, if it's
[07:06] credible, we should get it out. And the
[07:07] grand jury documentation largely is
[07:09] credible and should be received as such.
[07:11] And also, let's just be honest,
[07:13] everybody. We do not want what has
[07:15] happened this last week to slow down the
[07:17] momentum of this great administration.
[07:18] We're not going to let that happen on
[07:19] this program. This is very important.
[07:21] And the president deserves thanks. So,
[07:24] for any of you in the audience that were
[07:26] a little uneasy, that were a little
[07:27] anxious, I think it's morally incumbent
[07:30] on you to say thank you, President
[07:31] Trump. Thank you for stepping up and for
[07:34] doing this. Thank you, President Trump,
[07:36] for fulfilling what you said you were
[07:38] going to do because he does deserve
[07:39] credit. And the entire White House
[07:41] administration deserves credit because
[07:44] they've been dealing with 900 different
[07:46] things. And I know that patience in the
[07:48] time of social media is a virtue that is
[07:51] lost. It's very difficult for a lot of
[07:53] us. I'm one of the most impatient people
[07:54] imaginable. My entire team will tell
[07:55] you, "Where's it going? What's happening
[07:57] in real time?" Mikey will attest to
[07:59] this. I'm the most one of the most
[08:00] impatient people ever created on God's
[08:03] green earth. But President Donald Trump,
[08:04] we should take a step back. He's doing a
[08:06] phenomenal job. The border secure. The
[08:08] economy is doing much better. He's
[08:09] ending wars all over the world. That he
[08:12] has earned one of my favorite words in
[08:15] the English language. He has earned our
[08:17] confidence.
[08:19] He has earned it.
[08:23] And I think we should say at this
[08:26] particular time, this is a massive move.
[08:29] It is a major move that is deserving of
[08:32] gratitude and of thanks
[08:35] with all the other stuff that he's
[08:36] working on. But also, it was very fun to
[08:39] see. Nothing unites MAGA like fake news.
[08:43] And it was also so interesting because
[08:46] the DOJ news became second. It was very
[08:49] telling
[08:51] when
[08:52] to see who actually came to the
[08:55] president's defense when this Wall
[08:57] Street Journal piece was dropped. It was
[08:59] very telling. A lot of people were
[09:00] coming to the president's defense after
[09:02] the Pam Bondi news, but it was very
[09:05] telling
[09:07] that
[09:08] a lot of people did not defend the
[09:10] president there. I mean, this is so
[09:11] ridiculous. Someone said, "What? This is
[09:13] like the picture of Donald Trump. The
[09:15] Donald Trump did this. It's such a joke
[09:17] that, you know, he's like some sort of
[09:18] doodler and now he's some, you know,
[09:20] he's he's Robert Frost or something as a
[09:23] poet. It It doesn't read like him. It
[09:25] doesn't sound like him. I don't believe
[09:27] it.
[09:29] I will say though, the Wall Street
[09:31] Journal story does not pass the smell
[09:33] test. Why didn't Democrats use this
[09:35] story years ago? It's a good question.
[09:37] Nothing unites MAGA quite like fake
[09:39] news. Last night was a big night. We say
[09:41] thank you, President Trump. And now it's
[09:44] in the hands of the courts. It's in the
[09:45] hands of the Department of Justice and
[09:47] we'll see what happens.
