Jeffrey Epstein's name recurs across the site's coverage in two mostly separate threads: renewed political pressure to release the government's files on him, and speculation about his intelligence ties that some commentators have tried to connect to Charlie Kirk's own death. FBI Director Kash Patel addressed the first directly in Senate testimony, defending the bureau's limited ability to expand the original 2006-2007 investigation given the nonprosecution agreement Epstein received at the time, while committing to release whatever information the law allows. On the intelligence question, former CIA officer Andrew Bustamante offered a more grounded assessment than most: he called the theory that Epstein worked for the CIA or Mossad unlikely, arguing the evidence instead points to Epstein having served as an FBI informant, and drew a broader distinction between how criminal enterprises and real intelligence operations actually function. Epstein also surfaced as a source of friction inside Kirk's own circle before his death: according to text messages Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly later described, Kirk privately urged Carlson to keep discussing Epstein's intelligence connections despite donor pressure to drop the subject, a stance Kelly said reflected Kirk's growing frustration with being told what he could and could not say about the case.
