Pastor Rob McCoy's Moses-and-Joshua Sermon After Kirk's Murder

Showing 139 Pastor Rob McCoy videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.

Pastor Rob McCoy, Charlie Kirk's own pastor, delivered one of the more theologically direct responses to the assassination, framing it through the biblical relationship between Moses and Joshua: a leader who built the movement passing the responsibility for carrying it forward to the generation he trained, rather than treating Kirk's death as simply an ending. McCoy drew on personal, recent memory to make the case concrete, describing a trip the two had taken together to Korea shortly before Kirk's death, where they stood with persecuted pastors, material he used to argue Kirk's faith commitments were active and global, not a domestic talking point.

His sermon addressed the swirl of conspiracy theories directly rather than avoiding them, while turning attention toward what he considered the more significant story: churches reporting overflow crowds, and Turning Point USA's chapter count reportedly growing from roughly 4,000 to 30,000 in the aftermath. McCoy framed that growth using a specific scriptural pattern, what was intended for evil being used for good, treating the assassination not as a defeat for the mission but, in his account, as the moment it multiplied beyond what Kirk had built himself.
