[03:12] grounded in who you are when those

[03:14] attacks get personal?

[03:16] >> You know, I don't know that I pay too

[03:18] much attention to the criticism that's

[03:21] lobbed at me anymore only because it

[03:22] it's constant. And I if you if I spent

[03:26] every day worried about what people

[03:28] other people were thinking about me or

[03:29] allowing them to define who I am, I

[03:31] wouldn't get out of bed. And I've got

[03:34] four toddlers at home. So I just shut

[03:37] that entire part of my life off. And

[03:39] people are very surprised by that. But

[03:41] it truly um doesn't impact me. I know

[03:43] who I am. So I don't have to go to the

[03:46] internet to learn about who I am.

[03:48] >> You you legit it doesn't bother you at

[03:49] all.

[03:50] >> No, it genuinely doesn't bother me at

[03:51] all. I'm I'm definitely I think battleh

[03:54] hardened. I think over time uh maybe

[03:58] when

[03:59] I was just getting started I felt

[04:04] I don't know maybe a twinge of that's

[04:06] not fair, that's not true. But when you

[04:08] have substance in your life, like real

[04:11] substance and you're not swimming in

[04:13] your own insecurities. Meaning when I

[04:15] first got started, I wasn't married. I

[04:17] didn't have uh you know, I didn't have

[04:18] my family. I didn't have kids relying on

[04:21] me. So, life is just so much more like

[04:24] substant now. So, real.

[04:26] >> Wow, man. I I I mean, I'm a lot better

[04:29] at it than when I first started, but

[04:31] man, this [ __ ] bothers me.

[04:33] >> Yeah. And then I see like the Time

[04:35] magazine cover thing that Trump posted

[04:45] enemies.

[04:50] >> Yeah. Until you just mentioned it, it's

[04:51] that it's it's not even something that I

[04:52] even think about. It was so strange. It

[04:54] was so strange. I was in Italy getting

[04:57] confirmed by a cardinal and that I was

[05:01] so excited about it. And it was just

[05:03] it's weird because it's the president of

[05:05] the United States and it's something

[05:07] that maybe you would expect to see if

[05:08] you're in high school and people are

[05:10] trying to like find ways to hurt you,

[05:12] but you know when the president of

[05:14] United States is like you're fat, you're

[05:15] ugly, you know that it just feels weird.

[05:17] It was just very strange.

[05:19] >> Well, it is weird.

[05:20] >> It's weird. Ojectively, I thought it was

[05:21] very strange. And I don't have

[05:23] >> Did he forget you he started a war?

[05:41] something that I wake up every day and

[05:43] wonder does the president that I think

[05:46] I'm hot or not. There's something about

[05:48] it like that's just like okay he's got a

[05:51] type and he said Breijit Mcronone's

[05:54] hotter than me he's allowed it's a free

[05:56] country you know

[05:58] >> it was that was definitely a moment

[06:01] where I was going this is this is a some

[06:04] strange enemies to have

[06:06] >> did you find humor in it

[06:08] >> genuinely at the time I was there was

[06:11] just so much going on I was in Italy and

[06:13] my phone started blowing up and I was so

[06:15] excited about the eve of my confirmation

[06:18] that and I had just had this wonderful

[06:21] dinner with um my priest and I had a

[06:24] meeting with the cardinal about the

[06:25] confirmation that I just turned my phone

[06:28] off because I didn't want to even let in

[06:30] whatever energy that was as nope you're

[06:33] not ruining my day and I was like I felt

[06:35] like I was like on the eve of my wedding

[06:36] or something and there was there was too

[06:40] much spiritual goodness that was

[06:41] surrounding me I guess is the best way

[06:42] to put it. uh we had planned that trip

[06:45] for a very long time for me to go to

[06:46] Italy and get confirmed and I just

[06:47] wasn't going to allow that to be a a

[06:49] memory and so I just was like I'll deal

[06:53] with that when I get back and such a

[06:54] strange thing to be in a place where

[06:56] you're putting the president United

[06:58] States on hold [laughter]

[06:59] everyone the guest was waiting for a

[07:01] response and I was like

[07:02] >> I don't have time for this [laughter]

[07:05] >> that was it was I don't have time for

[07:07] this I'm really excited and it's this is

[07:10] my wedding day so to speak and that was

[07:12] that and then we had a fantastic time in

[07:14] Italy. And then when I got home and the

[07:16] podcast was back on, I was like, "Okay,

[07:17] now where where's the child? Time to

[07:19] address the child." I here, you know,

[07:21] [laughter]

[07:22] shame on you. This is not a good look

[07:23] for you. And I I don't have that. I

[07:25] don't wake up every day wondering if the

[07:27] president thinks I'm pretty. That's just

[07:28] not a part of my life.

[07:29] >> Well, as many enemies as you have, they

[07:31] [sighs]

[07:34] they give you a lot of attention.

[07:35] >> They do.

[07:36] >> I think uh I think it helps you a lot

[07:38] more than it hurts you, which is pretty

[07:40] cool. Definitely don't think that a

[07:42] moment like that empowers Trump. That's

[07:45] what I would say. I think it diminishes

[07:46] him in a way. Uh, you know, you

[07:49] shouldn't relinquish your power like

[07:51] that as the president. You know, to

[07:54] dig up a photo of me when I was sick.

[07:57] And I shared that photo, by the way. Um,

[07:59] >> are you serious?

[08:00] >> Yeah, that that photo is real. I shared

[08:02] it early on in politics uh to talk about

[08:04] I I went through a really tough time

[08:06] when uh what was it 2015 I got sick from

[08:10] mold illness and I never thought I was

[08:13] going to be the same person. It was a a

[08:15] leak an HVAC leak that happened in my

[08:16] building and it destroyed my insides. I

[08:20] mean it started um what's known as

[08:22] candidiosis growth in my body. I had I

[08:26] mean overnight my whole I felt like my

[08:27] whole life was taken from me. I couldn't

[08:28] think. And if you don't know what toxic

[08:31] mold illness is, it's almost impossible

[08:33] to describe, but I I had head to toe

[08:36] overnight eczema. I had never had

[08:38] eczema. Um, athletes foot. My eyes were

[08:41] red and just kept pussing. And I didn't

[08:43] know what it was. I didn't know what was

[08:45] happening, why it was happening. My hair

[08:47] fell out. And uh in the scheme of

[08:52] everything that was going on, I the

[08:54] worst part of it, forgetting the

[08:55] physical and not recognizing yourself in

[08:58] the mirror because I mean I could share

[09:00] worse photos than he shared. I was like

[09:02] if you want them all, this is actually

[09:04] look I look pretty good relative to what

[09:06] was going on head to toe. Um but the

[09:08] worst part was my my brain. It I the

[09:11] only way to describe it is you can't

[09:12] think. You can't it's almost like being

[09:14] in a permanent if you ever had like

[09:16] brain fog. Imagine like the most intense

[09:18] brain fog you could ever have. And it

[09:20] just physically exhausted me. So I was

[09:22] just in bed all day every day. And the

[09:25] only way to beat back that sort of mold

[09:27] illness, I mean, they can give you

[09:28] temporary pills, whatever. It's through

[09:30] diet. Like the most regimented diet

[09:32] because sugar is what feeds it.

[09:34] >> And so I it took me a year um to and I

[09:37] never thought I was going to be able to

[09:38] be myself again. And that was the

[09:40] hardest part is not being able to think.

[09:42] and I have relied I I didn't realize how

[09:45] much I had, you know, relied on my

[09:48] ability to reply and I loved writing.

[09:51] And so it was I just was I remember just

[09:53] getting on my hands and knees and

[09:54] praying bargaining really actually with

[09:56] God, which isn't um something that you

[09:59] should do. But I was like, I don't even

[10:01] care about the physical stuff. I don't

[10:02] care if my hair never grows back. I

[10:03] don't care if I have these patches all

[10:05] over my face forever, if they never

[10:06] clear up. Um I don't care if I have

[10:08] athletes but once a week. like please

[10:11] just let me think like please just clear

[10:13] the cloud in my brain. And I think about

[10:16] it because it was right before I became

[10:18] a public figure. And I just now have the

[10:22] perspective that I was truly humbled.

[10:25] Like truly humbled before and never

[10:28] thought I was going to look the same.

[10:30] like and I I never even realized how

[10:32] much easier um like how much I had

[10:35] relied on being like generally uh

[10:37] good-looking, you know, to kind of get

[10:39] through life. Like there's so I didn't

[10:40] want to see anybody. Um and my I only

[10:44] saw my cousin my cousin who still works

[10:46] with me today. I would not go out of the

[10:49] house and cuz I was sleeping mostly the

[10:51] whole time and anyway and it was a a

[10:54] long process, a very strict diet.

[10:56] Obviously, I got so skinny because you

[10:58] you kind of have to starve it. Yeah, you

[11:01] kind of have to starve it. So, anything

[11:02] that has sugar, even fruit feeds it. Uh,

[11:05] and so, but in the retrospect, I learned

[11:08] how to cook everything from scratch.

[11:10] >> We were I ate I learned how to eat the

[11:13] best ingredients. I learned about

[11:14] ingredients and I became really

[11:17] passionate about that. I mean, that's

[11:18] why I garden today. So, yeah, I was

[11:21] humbled. I was humbled right before I

[11:24] got into the public sphere. And so I

[11:28] actually look back on it quite fondly.

[11:30] And I think it kept me away from a lot

[11:33] of the vanity that comes with politics

[11:35] and publicity

[11:37] >> cuz I know it can just just like that be

[11:39] taken away from me.

[11:39] >> Man. Wow.

[11:42] >> So he took you at your lowest point and

[11:44] exploited it all over the internet.

[11:46] >> Yeah. And then I shared it with

[11:47] everybody. I was like, I've got worse

[11:48] pictures. I mean I was sick. you. I

[11:51] don't know. I guess you can go around

[11:52] and find people when they have cancer

[11:54] and lose their hair and put them on a

[11:55] Time magazine. I was very sick, but I'm

[11:58] really proud of it. It's It's such a

[11:59] weird thing, but I I shared it myself.

[12:02] And so, I think what happened was a lot

[12:04] of times with his team, they just look

[12:06] for things on the internet and they're

[12:08] trying to be fast and respond and they

[12:09] didn't know where the source of that

[12:10] photo was. And it was me. I shared it

[12:12] back when I first entered into politics

[12:14] and talked about, you know, a tough time

[12:17] in my life and uh yeah, I'm still I'm

[12:19] still just very proud of it and

[12:21] gratefully, thank God I I got everything

[12:24] back, not just my brain, you know, my

[12:26] hair came back, my skin cleared. Um and

[12:30] yeah, I just I'm very grateful.

[12:32] >> Yeah.

[13:44] >> So, where'd you grow up?

[13:47] >> So, I was born in New York in White

[13:49] Plains. That's actually where my mother

[13:52] uh grew up mostly and she went to high

[13:55] school there. So, a lot of my family's

[13:56] in in that area, Ry White Plains area.

[13:59] And then I went to school and had my

[14:02] formative years in Stamford,

[14:03] Connecticut, which is just kind of

[14:05] outside of the city.

[14:07] >> It's kind of like if you have a job in

[14:09] the city and want to live in the

[14:10] suburbs, you move to Greenwich,

[14:11] Stamford, New Kanan, Fairfield County

[14:14] area.

[14:15] >> Okay.

[14:15] >> Mhm.

[14:16] >> How many siblings do you have?

[14:17] >> Three. I have a brother and I have two

[14:19] sisters.

[14:20] >> What your parents do? Well, my dad was a

[14:23] plumber growing up and my mother worked

[14:25] at a chiropractic facility sort of as

[14:27] you like the manager and did a lot of

[14:30] the billing for them.

[14:31] >> Okay. You guys tied?

[14:34] >> Yes.

[14:34] >> Tight family?

[14:35] >> Yes. Like well my parents are divorced.

[14:37] So I mean I guess you'd have to ask

[14:38] independently everybody's relationships

[14:40] but um my sisters, my and my siblings,

[14:44] we are very close. Um, you have to have

[14:48] people, especially in the life that I

[14:50] live, who really deeply know you. And

[14:52] so, in the morning time, every morning,

[14:54] I get up when I work out, call my

[14:56] sisters, you know, and talk about

[14:58] everything. My sister, my little sister

[15:00] right now, she's saving up like some

[15:01] extra money for her wedding. And so,

[15:03] she's actually helping me right now like

[15:05] sort through the tips box. So,

[15:07] [laughter]

[15:08] uh, we weren't close growing up, though.

[15:09] Like I mean me and my sisters, we're a

[15:11] year each of us. We're a year and a half

[15:13] apart. So we just bludgeoned each other,

[15:15] you know, over everything pretty much.

[15:17] >> Where you fall in the lineup?

[15:19] >> In the middle. Can't you tell?

[15:22] Can't you tell? Middle child syndrome.

[16:51] >> Um,

[16:51] >> what' you like to do?

[16:53] >> I was always really into dance,

[16:56] coordinating dances. I was very sporty.

[16:59] Um, I I think I took off through my mom

[17:00] in that way. My mother played basketball

[17:03] and cheerleed when she was in high

[17:05] school. She didn't finish high school.

[17:06] My mother's a high school dropout. But

[17:08] um well, she got pregnant, but when she

[17:10] was a when she was in high school, she

[17:12] was very athletic and so I kind of took

[17:14] after my mom in that way. So I I did

[17:16] cheerlead in high school. I did track

[17:17] and field. And I we moved into my

[17:20] grandfather's house when I was 8 years

[17:23] old. My I was just like a granddaddy's

[17:25] girl. I was obsessed with my grandfather

[17:27] and he just was always doing stuff in

[17:31] the backyard, you know, one of those old

[17:33] school guys. I think of my grandfather

[17:35] as having um like car grease on his

[17:39] hands, you know, that's what makes me

[17:40] think of my granddad. Like car oil on

[17:42] his hands. his hands were always

[17:43] blackened and he always had a cloth and

[17:45] was wiping them and uh somehow always

[17:47] had cash in his pocket and would you

[17:49] know give me and my sisters cash

[17:51] [laughter]

[17:52] and uh I was always just kind of

[17:54] fluffing around in the yard with my

[17:56] grandpa like in the woods doing stuff.

[17:58] So my sisters and I were like cutting

[18:00] worms, climbing trees. I was definitely

[18:03] I would say a tomboy. I just liked to be

[18:06] outside, which I can I think is very new

[18:09] to this generation and everything's

[18:10] behind a screen. But we were active. We

[18:13] were very active. Jump roping, bike

[18:15] riding. Granddad taught me how to ride a

[18:16] bike. Remember the day it happened. Um

[18:19] [snorts] yeah, I I loved it being

[18:21] outside.

[18:21] >> Why did you move in with your

[18:22] grandparents at age eight?

[18:24] >> Because we were poor. [laughter]

[18:26] So my um

[18:28] >> Did your parents move in with you?

[18:30] >> Yes. And it was the house was too small

[18:32] for all of us to fit into it, but we

[18:33] made it work. My grandfather came to the

[18:35] apartment that we were living in which

[18:37] was in this really sort of dilapitated

[18:41] um building and it had roaches. I was

[18:44] not uh a you're not aware of those

[18:47] things so much when you're a kid.

[18:49] >> And so we just knew that every maybe it

[18:52] was once a month. I couldn't even tell

[18:54] you. Maybe it was less or more, but we'd

[18:56] have to sort of take all the pots and

[18:57] pans out of the cabinets because the

[19:01] exterminator would have to come and

[19:02] spray because there was roaches, you

[19:04] know, and that's not my mother kept a

[19:06] very clean apartment actually, but it it

[19:09] doesn't matter in those sorts of

[19:10] environments. You live like your

[19:11] neighbors live. And so my grandfather

[19:13] just came and said, "I don't want my

[19:16] grandbabies growing up like this."

[19:17] because he worked really hard in his

[19:18] life starting in a sharecropping farm um

[19:21] and ending where he did when my

[19:23] grandfather died. He went back and

[19:24] actually purchased the sharecropping

[19:26] farm in the south.

[19:27] >> That's where he retired.

[19:28] >> Uh but he was living up up north at that

[19:31] time in Connecticut and they had a

[19:32] middle-ass house and he just said, "I

[19:33] don't want my grandbabies to grow up

[19:34] like this." So, we moved into their

[19:36] house and my sister and I lived in the

[19:39] attic, you know, kind of he put carpet

[19:42] down in the attic and turned it into a

[19:43] room, which I thought was so cool

[19:45] because I used to love the show Hey

[19:47] Arnold and Hey Arnold had like an attic,

[19:49] too. It's very, very good show. And um

[19:52] my grand my mother and father were in

[19:55] the basement, so we just had to just

[19:57] kind of all

[19:59] fit in the house. And it was the best

[20:01] thing I think that could have happened

[20:03] for my life. It's the single greatest

[20:05] thing that probably changed my life was

[20:07] moving in with my grandparents and sort

[20:08] of being under my grandfather's

[20:11] um patriarchy, if you will.

[20:13] >> Is he still alive?

[20:37] tried to apply it, but I supported Adolf

[20:39] Hitler or something. And you see my

[20:40] granddad in the back. He's like, "No,

[20:42] she did not say that." Like, "No, she

[20:43] did not say that." [laughter] And I was

[20:46] like, "Granddad was going to get up and

[20:47] give Tedl a beatd down. You don't talk.

[20:49] Nobody talks to his grandbaby like that.

[20:56] that was captured actually on camera

[20:57] because shortly after that uh his mind

[21:00] started to go and his memory started to

[21:02] go. I mean and so it's just one of those

[21:06] last memories that I have of my

[21:07] granddad. He was always behind me

[21:09] whether it was teaching me how to ride a

[21:11] bike and letting go or like behind me at

[21:14] you know in Congress. I just like my

[21:15] grandparents were just absolutely

[21:17] amazing.

[21:20] were here today? I got to say everything

[21:22] I I needed to say to my granddad, you

[21:26] unexpectedly and so I made a very

[21:28] conscious decision to slow down and make

[21:32] sure that I got to say everything to my

[21:35] granddad. He knows how much I loved him.

[21:40] >> So, you're with your grandparents all

[21:41] the way through high school

[21:43] >> until 10th grade and then we kind of

[21:45] moved into a condo. But I mean all of my

[21:48] formative years are with my grandparents

[21:50] always being around and yeah it was it

[21:56] we wake up in the morning, granddad made

[21:58] breakfast, you know, my grandmother

[22:00] would make dinner and it was my

[22:03] grandfather just had a lot of rules for

[22:05] us to follow because he grew up in the

[22:07] south and it was just like very

[22:08] structured and my work ethic comes from

[22:11] my grandfather without question.

[22:13] had a job since he was 5 years old like

[22:16] laying out tobacco to dry on a

[22:19] sharecropping farm. So he just got after

[22:21] the day every day.

[22:26] How old were you when your parents got

[22:28] divorced?

[22:31] >> They got I mean my mom and my dad were

[22:49] relationships. And then when we were all

[22:52] out of the house, they called and said

[22:54] they were getting a divorce. And at that

[22:55] at that point, I remember saying to my

[22:57] dad, "No, no, no, no. Now you guys

[22:58] should stay together. Now, now it should

[23:00] be until death do you part. Now, now

[23:03] that we're out of the house, you're

[23:04] you're [laughter] going to separate. I

[23:06] remember exactly where I was walking,

[23:08] exactly which street I was walking on in

[23:09] uh New York State when I got the call.

[23:12] And yeah, they um it's it's it was an

[23:15] interesting thing because I got to see

[23:18] in my house two totally different

[23:20] examples of how to live. My grandparents

[23:24] were very conservative and they my

[23:27] grandfather met my grandmother when he

[23:28] was 17 and they stayed married until her

[23:31] dying day. And then I had the opposite

[23:34] example where the generation beneath my

[23:36] grandparents, despite how they had

[23:38] raised them, they were just so

[23:40] different. Like all of my dad's siblings

[23:41] had been divorced and this it was a new

[23:43] culture. And I remember when granddad

[23:45] got sick um or started getting sick, I

[23:48] was helping him uh fix up his house and

[23:50] we talked about it and I was like, how

[23:53] how do how do people who are raised in

[23:56] so conservatively kind of have I guess

[23:58] more liberal viewpoints on marriage? And

[24:00] my granddad said something and he was

[24:01] right. It's just the way he delivered it

[24:04] which is so funny. But he just said you

[24:07] know it was those darn hippies. He just

[24:09] says the hipp the hippies ruined

[24:11] everything.

[24:12] And there's it's a valid point. You I've

[24:15] done some research and I'm like,

[24:16] granddad was right. They kind of brought

[24:18] in this sort of sex, love, rock and

[24:20] roll, love who you love. Everything

[24:22] became so much more uh temporal, I

[24:24] guess. And I am just so my grandfather's

[24:28] child. Like my viewpoint, I'm I'm going

[24:30] backward. Everybody wants to be

[24:32] progressive. I'm like, I want to be

[24:33] regressive. I want to I want some of

[24:35] that stuff that granddad had.

[24:37] >> What did you want to be as a child? What

[24:39] did you want to become occupational?

[24:41] What was the first thing I wanted to be?

[24:42] An archaeologist.

[24:44] >> Yes. I was really into like as soon as I

[24:47] learned about Egypt, I had this weird

[24:49] fascination with Egypt and just I don't

[24:52] know just I remember in third grade

[24:54] wanting to be like when I grew up I want

[24:55] to be an archaeologist. That was my

[24:57] first thing I can remember wanting to

[24:59] be. And then you'll probably say

[25:01] appropriately I then was convinced I was

[25:04] going to be a lawyer. I wanted to be a

[25:05] lawyer. [laughter]

[25:28] sued. I made a whole series on the Blake

[25:30] Lively series. I do have a a love for

[25:35] legal work, but I don't have to be sued

[25:38] to love it. I have to get that straight

[25:39] in my mind. You don't have to be sued to

[25:42] appreciate law. Um, but yeah.

[26:02] I have obviously the Breijit one which

[26:04] was a lot. And then I got pulled into

[26:06] the Blake Lively one, which isn't really

[26:08] like being involved. And then they tried

[26:09] to pull me into some Kanye one, not

[26:12] being the person who was sued, but um

[26:14] yeah. So I just kind of got familiar

[26:16] with the people that were serving the

[26:18] paperwork. They're great guys, by the

[26:19] way. The the servers, they're fantastic.

[26:21] They show up in like motorcycles like,

[26:23] "We love you." Like, you know, and we're

[26:26] going to charge the other guys more.

[26:27] They're amazing. They're they're

[26:28] absolutely amazing. And then this Brian

[26:30] Harpole one, which I'm I'm being sued

[26:32] because of your show, you know. my show.

[26:54] when Brian Harpole sued me, his lawyer

[26:56] wrote this amazing story which was just

[26:58] made entirely no sense where he said

[27:03] trying to make the argument he's not a

[27:04] public figure which is very important.

[27:06] You have to establish in defamation are

[27:08] you a public figure or are you a private

[27:10] person and obviously he made himself a

[27:11] public figure by going on this podcast

[27:13] and interjecting himself into this

[27:15] Charlie narrative. So they were trying

[27:16] to argue that he's not a public figure

[27:18] and he basically said he was forced to

[27:20] become a public figure because of me is

[27:22] the like I'm the reason he went on the

[27:24] he had to go on the Sean Ryan show to

[27:25] clear his name and I never covered him

[27:27] on my show once. Never spoke his name on

[27:30] my show before he went on your show cuz

[27:32] it was

[27:33] >> so hold on. He's claiming he came here

[27:35] because to counter your narrative. Yeah.

[27:38] >> And but you weren't talking about him.

[27:40] never said one word about him

[27:42] >> or the security apparatus because I knew

[27:44] them and my mind just wasn't there at

[27:49] was so disastrous in my view and I think

[27:52] also the view of all the people who

[27:54] watched it according to the comments

[27:56] there was just something off about it

[27:57] and I went whoa he's answering questions

[27:59] weird the stuff that he's saying doesn't

[28:00] really make sense but that's their

[28:02] argument they're trying to make because

[28:04] they're trying to get the court to see

[28:06] him as a private figure who only had to

[28:08] come out and do the Shawn Ryan show, the

[28:11] biggest one of the biggest podcasts in

[28:12] the world, defend himself against me.

[28:15] And I'm like, well, that's going to be a

[28:16] tricky argument considering I never

[28:18] spoke about you ever on my show until

[28:20] you did the show.

[28:21] >> But wait a minute, what is what exactly?

[28:23] >> He's what is he suing you for?

[28:27] >> Uh, defamation, which is difficult for

[28:31] me to comprehend because it's it's so in

[28:34] the category of opinion. in like the

[28:35] first three pages of a lawsuit, he's

[28:36] just kind of calling me an anti-semite.

[28:38] And I don't know what that has to do

[28:39] with the lawsuit at all. He's not

[28:41] Jewish, last I checked. Uh neither was

[28:43] Charlie Kirk. But he then moves on by

[28:46] saying that I defamed him because I said

[28:49] that the security team was incompetent.

[28:52] And so he's blaming me for a loss of

[28:55] revenue to his business because I said

[28:57] he's incompetent. Now, I would generally

[28:59] say if you have a business and your job

[29:01] is to provide security and your client

[29:05] dies on the job, that might be the

[29:08] reason you're not getting many clients.

[29:09] I look, I'm not I'm not saying I'm a

[29:11] genius, but I don't think people will be

[29:14] lining up to hire the same security

[29:16] people that guarded Charlie Kirk on

[29:19] September 10th. But he thinks it's

[29:21] actually because of me calling him among

[29:23] any among many other things, calling him

[29:25] incompetent, asking questions about why

[29:27] they didn't have people on the rooftop

[29:28] that day, saying that like the support

[29:30] they supplied to Charlie's neck was

[29:32] inadequate. I mean, just things that you

[29:34] can see with your own eyes as they're

[29:35] handing him to the car. How they're like

[29:37] holding him to the car. Him saying on

[29:39] your show that they didn't provide CPR

[29:41] because he had to stop the bleeding. I

[29:42] have questions about that. If your heart

[29:44] stops, what's it matter if you stop the

[29:46] bleeding? So, I'm going to stand by my

[29:50] assessment that he was incompetent. And

[29:52] then the second chunk of his lawsuit is

[29:54] his um saying that I guess he defamation

[29:59] per se might be his argument because I

[30:01] asked about whether he was at Fort Wuga

[30:03] because somebody believes they saw him

[30:05] at Fort Wuka on the 9th. But he admits

[30:08] in a lawsuit that I texted him uh four

[30:11] times asking him just to say yes or no

[30:13] so I could just, you know, very quickly

[30:17] say, "Oh, I reached out to him. He said

[30:18] it wasn't him." [snorts] But his reason

[30:20] for why he didn't answer me despite me

[30:22] trying to just get an answer and why he

[30:25] decided to just instead sue me uh was

[30:28] because what was his bizarre legal

[30:31] reason for why he just didn't answer any

[30:34] of my questions? I think he said because

[30:37] oh he didn't want me to get famous off

[30:38] of him. I I promise you this is his

[30:41] argument is that the reason he didn't

[30:42] answer

[30:43] >> he didn't want you to get famous off of

[30:45] >> that I was just gonna use it for clicks.

[30:47] So if he had answered me and said no I'm

[30:50] I wasn't at Fort Wuka then I would have

[30:52] used it for clicks and he didn't want me

[30:57] that is the thrust of the lawsuit.

[31:03] money and to be determined by a jury

[31:07] because his business has been affected.

[31:16] can now force him to answer them and

[32:16] system where people file for PR reasons.

[32:19] I mean, Breijie is a perfect example of

[32:20] that. uh where you're doing something

[32:23] that you kind of know you can't win in

[32:25] court, but it allows you to then say,

[32:26] "Well, we really tried and obviously we

[32:28] must have been telling the truth or we

[32:29] wouldn't have sued." And that's not the

[32:32] case. I I have not changed my mind about

[32:33] Brian Harpole, and I

[32:37] was very thorough in trying to just get

[32:39] him to give me a response. Like, I would

[32:40] have happily taken a response from him,

[32:42] and he still hasn't offered one. He just

[32:45] sued me.

[32:53] just the initial filing, we haven't

[32:54] gotten into the details of who's not

[32:57] booking him or if someone dropped him.

[33:04] you, you wouldn't book him,

[33:06] you know, just the presentation.

[33:28] his various appearances, things that he

[33:30] was saying that was just making things

[33:32] worse because he doesn't sound honest

[33:35] when he speaks. He's not clear. And he's

[33:38] also dishonest. I mean, he said even

[33:40] when I was watching your show, and that

[33:42] was one of the reasons we covered it was

[33:43] because we instantly learned he

[33:46] presented those messages when you asked

[33:47] him about the rooftop. He shows these

[33:50] messages and then he says, "What am I

[33:52] supposed to do with that?" You know, the

[33:54] implication being that this is a

[33:56] conversation he was having, but it

[33:58] wasn't. He was showing you Dan Flood's

[34:00] text messages. So that was strange and

[34:03] dishonest and yeah I and he they were

[34:08] also the discussion wasn't even about

[34:10] Losi center. The discussion was about

[34:13] the walkway above Charlie. So it seemed

[34:17] like even when he was on the show he was

[34:19] focused on PR but he just wasn't very

[34:22] convincing. And that's literally in a

[34:24] lawsuit that I described him as not very

[34:26] convincing. And that's defamatory.

[34:31] >> and I stand by it. He wasn't very

[34:32] convincing.

[34:35] more. I just I [ __ ] felt bad though.

[34:37] I mean, it was still really fresh and

[34:40] the guy's tearing I I I just I would

[34:42] when I've been around a lot of loss, you

[34:44] know, in my previous career and so I

[34:46] didn't want to I wanted to be

[34:49] respectful,

[34:59] might feel frustration, the reality is

[35:02] is that if you had put him under the

[35:04] light, so to speak, he would have

[35:20] kept describing um things in detail. So,

[35:25] I think it was good to sort of let him

[35:27] talk.

[35:30] Brian Harpool?

[35:36] I think at at some point I think it was

[35:39] your interview, it might have been

[35:40] someone else's where he said that he

[35:43] when he got to the hospital and he's

[35:46] like directing the staff or whatever and

[35:49] he like said that he cut off Charlie's

[35:52] shirt. I mean, that's just that's

[35:53] fantasy. That's full fantasy. That's not

[35:55] how that happens. Everybody knows that.

[35:57] when you get to the ER and somebody is

[35:59] on a stretcher, some random guy who's

[36:01] bringing the person in doesn't start

[36:02] calling the shots in the hospital. So,

[36:05] there's a lot of questions about what

[36:06] took place at the hospital, why Cash

[36:08] Patel moved to have the cameras um as

[36:11] one of the first acts get to get the

[36:13] cameras down inside of the hospital.

[36:14] That's very strange. Um the varying

[36:17] stories uh that they've all told about

[36:19] what took place, why they were all then

[36:21] wearing scrubs. Frank Turk saying that

[36:25] the he was on the phone the whole time

[36:28] with and didn't realize with his um

[36:31] >> who's Frank Turk?

[36:32] >> Frank Turk was another one of the people

[36:33] that was in the car.

[36:35] >> Okay.

[36:35] >> And he former military. He was there and

[36:40] jumped in the car with them. By the way,

[36:41] that's even weird. I don't know why he

[36:43] jumped in the car with them to be to be

[36:44] honest with you. and he was at the

[36:47] hospital and he tells conflicting

[36:49] stories and says that they did perform

[36:51] CPR.

[36:53] It's all just very strange. It just

[36:55] seems like something like why why are

[36:57] all of your stories running into each

[36:59] other?

[36:59] >> What how are those running into each

[37:01] other? What did they say?

[37:02] >> Well, some people are saying they did

[37:04] give him CPR, some are saying they

[37:06] didn't.

[37:06] >> Brian said they did not perform CPR

[37:09] because they were focused on stopping

[37:11] the bleeding. Frank said that they did

[37:13] perform CPR. Ryan said that Frank was

[37:16] just in the back seat praying. Uh Frank

[37:19] said that he got involved, which is the

[37:21] reason why he had all the blood on on

[37:23] him or whatever.

[37:24] >> So, the discrepancy between the people

[37:27] that are in the car doesn't really make

[37:29] sense.

[37:30] >> I mean, I don't know. Do you do you give

[37:31] CPR to somebody that's been shot in the

[37:33] [ __ ] neck?

[37:36] heart going, it doesn't matter, right?

[37:40] stops pumping. So, yeah, you would give

[37:44] CPR. I would imagine you keep CPR going

[37:47] at all times. I'm I'm certainly not a

[37:49] medical professional, but I do know that

[37:50] like if your heart stops, you're dead.

[37:54] going. And them not having the ambulance

[37:57] on standby.

[38:00] know if that's I don't know if you would

[38:01] do CPR.

[38:04] your heart's not going, your heart's not

[38:05] going. And I'm not even saying, and by

[38:07] the way, I'm not even saying that

[38:10] >> um what was right or what was wrong to

[38:16] consistent. And that's what has been so

[38:18] troublesome for people that are

[38:19] investigating this. It's why do you guys

[38:22] all have different stories? Why are

[38:23] there so many lies that have since been

[38:25] unpacked that

[38:30] pivoted on their stories quite a bit.

[38:41] coming in on a Sunday. So Charlie got

[38:43] shot at 12:23 on a Wednesday and they

[38:46] had early morning on Sunday papa come

[38:48] in. And even before then, they had the

[38:51] soil removed by a separate group of

[38:52] people.

[39:20] that space said that about 8 in you

[39:21] would remove so that you can install the

[39:22] pavers. They removed 10 in of soil and

[39:25] they had two separate people do it. So

[39:27] they had people working for the

[39:28] government that removed the 10 inches of

[39:30] soil and then the next day the pavers

[39:33] came in and put in the pavers. That's

[39:35] not normal. You have the same group of

[39:37] people that do both. So they they wanted

[39:39] they had the dirt removed first and so

[39:41] we'd have to imagine that that happened

[39:43] Saturday the latest, right? And because

[39:46] then by Sunday morning, the guy who had

[39:50] to put together a rag tag team to do the

[39:52] paving, he did an interview and spoke

[39:53] about it and said he was told that the

[39:56] instructions were coming down from the

[39:58] governor of Utah and Cash Mattel's

[40:00] office

[40:08] I'm, you know, I've taken a long time to

[40:11] get to a place where I wanted to put

[40:14] forth a theory on what happened that

[40:15] day. I think there is a lot of evidence

[40:19] that they would have found explosives,

[40:22] which um if I [snorts] guess the way uh

[40:26] PETN is said is like what do you guys

[40:28] say? Pent

[40:33] terms and sound like I know what I'm

[42:10] really got me was to have a microphone

[43:14] was that he was shot from below because

[43:16] I watched his shirt go out and I it was

[43:19] I watched the friction of his body and I

[43:21] saw that his necklace broke before he

[43:24] was hit. I thought I always thought that

[43:25] was so strange. I was like somebody

[43:26] explain to me why if someone shot him

[43:28] from above his necklace would break

[43:30] first and whip this way. his necklace

[43:34] whips this way and then he gets hit and

[43:37] then he he and I was like so I just in

[43:39] my head and I was assuming that it was a

[43:41] gun was like I think someone was under

[43:43] him like

[43:45] that's the only thing that would explain

[43:46] his shirt doing whatever

[43:48] and then I saw John Bray is who you're

[43:51] referring to he was online and he was

[43:53] talking about this explosive and um I

[43:58] saw that and I was like in my head with

[44:00] my limited knowledge on what he was

[44:02] speaking about I I went, "Oh, well, it's

[44:03] not going to be explosive." Because then

[44:04] if it was a bomb, Charlie would have

[44:06] been burned and charred. And I knew that

[44:07] his body was not burned and charred. And

[44:10] so I but I I kept following him. And

[44:13] what happened was we got exclusively the

[44:16] car photos,

[44:18] the car that transported Charlie to the

[44:21] hospital, what that car looked like,

[44:23] which they tried very quickly to get rid

[44:24] of that car. They towed it um had it

[44:27] sent for like to be cleaned and resold,

[44:29] which is also an absolute nonsense. that

[44:31] car would have been put into evidence.

[44:34] But

[44:35] when I saw the car pics, first thing I

[44:37] said was, "Oh, that's so weird." Like,

[44:39] "Well, why is there black glass on the

[44:41] floor?" Right away, just like a ton of

[44:43] like black what looked to my eye as

[44:46] glass shards in the floor. And John Bray

[44:48] messaged me and he said on X, he said,

[44:53] "I just watched her episode. That's

[44:55] exactly what I was looking for to

[44:57] support my theory." And then I said,

[44:59] "What do you mean?" and he said, "I've

[45:00] been saying that his road mic was

[45:01] rigged, but in order for my theory to be

[45:03] true, the road mic would have had to

[45:04] explode into a million pieces, and that

[45:07] would have been on Charlie, and they

[45:08] would have had to get that off of him in

[45:09] the car." And so I went, "Well, I have I

[45:13] have the car photos." And there's very

[45:15] clearly now to play devil's advocate, as

[45:17] I always try to do, could it could have

[45:19] been somebody's sunglasses they stepped

[45:21] on that broke into a million. And it

[45:23] looks it's a lot of glass. It's in the

[45:25] seat that Charlie was on. It's behind

[45:28] it's I mean hard plastic 80 80 I think

[45:31] it's called ABS plastic and if you watch

[45:34] videos people just smashing a road mic

[45:36] that's exactly what it looks like is

[45:37] littered all over the floor. So now we

[45:40] have to say why did his necklace break

[45:43] first, then his road mic break second.

[45:47] And we're looking at a now we're looking

[45:49] at a trajectory, right? Before he gets

[45:51] hit and you do see it move across like

[45:53] if you watch the video again without

[45:56] trying to be an expert, if you just

[45:57] sometimes look at a video and say, "What

[45:59] do you see?" Slow it down. What do you

[46:01] observe happening? And that is what you

[46:02] observe. you observe something moving

[46:04] across his chest and then suddenly you

[46:07] see a wound here

[46:10] and that was my starting point. And so I

[46:12] never bought uh the idea that he was on

[46:16] somebody shot him from a lossy rooftop.

[46:17] That made no sense to me that nobody saw

[46:20] him shoot him is even crazier to me.

[46:22] This is a college campus in the middle

[46:23] of the day. Somebody would have seen him

[46:25] take a shot. And so then what added to

[46:32] me thinking this is now very plausible

[46:35] was the 306 superneck

[46:40] Superman neck. You know

[46:42] >> now you're asking us to be idiots.

[46:44] >> Mhm. Now, now the demand is for us to be

[46:46] idiots. And they did it in such an

[46:49] emotionally manipulative, despicable

[46:52] way, which has now become the turning

[46:54] point way, which is to just say God, the

[46:57] Lord, the miracle, the And if you don't

[47:00] believe in it, then you don't believe in

[47:01] God. And you're not honoring God if you

[47:03] don't believe in the miracle of this.

[47:06] This was the biggest lie that Erica told

[47:09] me and completely transformed my opinion

[47:13] of her. Um, I think, you know, I sat

[47:16] down with her for 4 hours. I was

[47:18] reticent to explore any conspiracies

[47:21] about her. I was slow to do it because

[47:25] >> first and foremost, she's the mother of

[47:26] Charlie's kids. That that's first and

[47:29] foremost. Secondly, it required me to

[47:33] have to go through a second stage of

[47:36] grief that I was not ready to do. I had

[47:38] a very hard time with Charlie's death.

[47:40] Still do. Um, but to be the person that

[47:43] Charlie was speaking to so much about

[47:46] how much he wanted love to when I had to

[47:50] take time off um, and just go to Wyoming

[47:52] and try to get my head right after it. I

[47:54] read through all of our messages, you

[47:56] know, and so I had I relived it all. And

[47:58] cuz you just, you know, I was in a phase

[48:00] of denial. I was really at that phase

[48:03] where I was hoping and I went through

[48:06] bargaining. I went through anger. I went

[48:08] through a very aggressive stage of

[48:09] denial. And I think my husband was

[48:11] realizing that I needed to get away at

[48:13] that point because I was trying to say

[48:15] like, "No, maybe he's really alive." You

[48:17] know, maybe they put him in witness

[48:18] protection. Like that's that bargaining.

[48:21] >> And then also the denial that's just in

[48:24] my face. And um [snorts]

[48:26] when I got out there and I was reading

[48:27] the messages and uh before she came into

[48:30] his life and

[48:32] Charlie just really really really wanted

[48:34] love, right? He that was like it. And it

[48:37] was almost like poetic the stuff that he

[48:39] was writing about how how love could

[48:42] kind of make men move mountains.

[48:45] And so for me to

[48:48] have to mourn him and then have to

[48:51] consider that the thing that he wanted

[48:53] most like he didn't get it. It just

[48:56] gutted me. It It gutted me. And so but I

[48:59] couldn't deny it anymore. I couldn't

[49:00] deny it. And it was beyond intuition. It

[49:03] was beyond her being weird. It was

[49:04] beyond her being at the office. And then

[49:06] I got the

[49:09] um the Zoom calls. My assumption was

[49:13] that she was grieving like I was. And my

[49:15] assumption I didn't know she was in the

[49:16] office the next week. As soon as she got

[49:19] back, she just went straight to the

[49:20] office. And

[49:21] >> she was in the office the next week.

[49:24] the podium that you saw

[49:29] I forgive him speech, but like the first

[49:30] one that was like 48 hours after he

[53:03] correct. that was that was intentionally

[53:05] recorded for us to

[53:08] um raise money at the end of the day.

[53:11] But the lie that she told that I

[53:13] couldn't get over was when she lied

[53:22] she say? So, what we thought happened,

[53:40] year since 2018, 2017. So, 17, 18, 19,

[53:44] 2020, 20 up until 2024, which is the

[53:47] first time they started doing this

[53:48] double mic thing on him, right? The fall

[53:50] of 2024. as I'm going, why is Terrell

[53:53] there? It's the first thing I I drew my

[53:55] eye. It was like, why is the head of

[53:57] audiovisisual here? He doesn't come on

[53:59] campus events. This is new. And then I

[54:02] see that he's taking the camera down.

[54:03] And I'm like, that's weird. And the

[54:05] internet's going crazy about this. So,

[54:06] I'm like, well, Terrell's been there for

[54:07] 12 years, long, maybe longer. I know.

[54:09] I'm just going to call him and ask him

[54:10] what's up. Like, maybe there's a reason.

[54:12] And I assumed he was going to say

[54:13] something like, you know,

[54:16] the police asked me to. I don't know.

[54:18] You wanted to see the footage. Instead,

[54:20] he was the first person that made me

[54:21] realize something was very wrong because

[54:22] he was very nervous on the phone. I

[54:24] asked him if I could see the back

[54:25] footage just to like clarify with people

[54:27] like looking out for you, Tarl. I can

[54:30] tell them what's going on and his energy

[54:32] was just completely wrong. He came up

[54:34] with a million excuses why I couldn't

[54:35] see the back footage. He told me he

[54:37] didn't know how to send a file. I'm

[54:38] like, Carol, you run an audiovisisual

[54:40] company. You know how to send a file.

[54:41] Then he told me, "Oh yeah, I do know how

[54:42] to send a file, but I um I really didn't

[54:46] I I'm afraid Google's going to hack me

[54:48] if I send it." And I said, "Google's

[54:50] going to hack you if you send me the

[54:52] file of the back footage." And I didn't

[54:55] accept that, obviously. And then he

[54:57] said, "Well, I grabbed the camera for

[54:59] Erica so that she wouldn't have to

[55:02] relive her husband dying over and over

[55:03] again." And I said, "His death was live

[55:06] streamed. Everyone saw Charlie die."

[55:09] >> The back footage is not like that's not

[55:10] going to be anything. So, I knew

[55:11] something was wrong with the back

[55:12] footage. And I kept pressing him for two

[55:16] days. And finally he said, "Well, I'll

[55:17] I'll

[55:19] face record I'll FaceTime you and show

[55:20] you it." And I hit record on the face. I

[55:23] just didn't know, just my instincts. And

[55:26] someone on my team was like, "You should

[55:27] record this." And I recorded it. And the

[55:30] first thing I thought that was so

[55:31] strange was there was no blood. The

[55:34] bullet didn't go through. There was no

[55:35] blood. Charlie's shirt was crisp white

[55:38] from the moment he went down. And I

[55:41] went, "That's odd."

[55:44] So I at that moment

[55:47] recorded it, had it, hung up with him,

[55:49] told my audience what I saw, and there

[55:52] was apparently mass panic, which I now

[55:55] know how the full story went. This was

[55:57] the day of Charlie's actual funeral, not

[56:00] the WWE memorial event, but the actual

[56:02] funeral, which was the night before. And

[56:05] they panicked that I had seen the

[56:07] footage. and somebody at the FBI called

[56:11] Turning Point and asked explicitly to

[56:14] Justin Strife whether or not I had

[56:17] recorded it. At that point, Justin

[56:19] Strife, who is the uh COO of Turning

[56:22] Point USA, messaged my husband, called

[56:25] my husband and wanted to know whether or

[56:27] not I had recorded it. And my husband

[56:29] has no idea what he's talking about. My

[56:30] he's not he's like he's like he runs the

[56:32] business. He's like, "I don't know what

[56:33] you're talking about." He then comes out

[56:34] to me. He's like, "Justin Strife keeps

[56:36] asking if you recorded this footage. was

[56:38] he talking about? And instantly in my

[56:39] mind, I said, "That's a really weird

[56:41] question. Why does it matter? Why does

[56:43] it matter if I recorded the footage?"

[56:46] And I said, "Don't answer him. I'll deal

[56:49] with it."

[56:50] And then what happened on the This is

[56:53] all happening on the day of Charlie's

[56:54] actual funeral. No one should be caring

[56:56] about back footage, anything. Why is the

[56:58] FBI calling? What then happened was

[57:00] Erica peeled off from Charlie's actual

[57:03] funeral, his wife, and she called the

[57:06] surgeon with Andrew Kovette on the

[57:09] phone, a three-way call. And the story

[57:13] that Andrew would then write cuz then he

[57:15] tweeted on the day of Charlie's funeral

[57:17] and said, "People want to know why there

[57:19] was, you know, no blood." And then the

[57:22] surgeon says that it was a miracle. And

[57:25] you remember this this ridiculous tweet.

[57:27] Charlie ate really healthy and this it

[57:30] normally it would have taken down a

[57:31] moose, but he really was the man of

[57:35] steel and this is like a modern-day

[57:37] Christian miracle. I mean, total slop

[57:40] for the masses. And everyone then went,

[57:42] "What the f? It didn't go through. Like,

[57:45] you're confirming this didn't go

[57:46] through. Something's wrong here." Right?

[57:49] When I asked Erica about this, and I

[57:51] didn't know about this thing that

[57:52] happened at the funeral, um, I asked

[57:55] her, "Why did Andrew send this tweet?"

[57:57] And she said to me, "He went rogue." I

[58:00] didn't know he sent the tweet.

[58:03] I said, "Andrew,

[58:05] Andrew went rogue." And she said, "Call

[58:07] the surgeon." I said, "The surgeon spoke

[58:09] to Andrew without your permission." And

[58:11] she said, "Yeah." I said, "So, the

[58:13] surgeon to the highest profile

[58:16] assassination

[58:18] since JFK, violated HIPPA, went rogue,

[58:22] spoke to some random PR guy he doesn't

[58:24] know, who also went rogue." And then at

[58:26] the conclusion of this conversation,

[58:28] Andrew tweeted something without your

[58:30] permission, and went rogue again. And

[58:32] she said, "Yeah."

[58:33] Then I got the information that she

[58:35] completely lied. That

[58:36] >> How'd you figure that out?

[58:37] >> A source

[58:40] that she was the one who initiated the

[58:41] phone call. and Andrew was on it and

[58:43] that the surgeon never said that what

[58:45] was put on on online. In fact, that's

[58:47] largely embarrassing to a surgeon

[58:48] because you're saying he violated HIPPA,

[58:50] right? And he's an idiot. Like, he's an

[58:53] idiot. Like, it's a modern-day miracle.

[58:55] Not only that, but it's not the

[58:56] surgeon's job. So, what happened was she

[58:58] said to the surgeon allegedly, "How can

[59:02] we explain to people that the, you know,

[59:04] the authority got six didn't go

[59:06] through?" And the surgeon doesn't know

[59:08] anything about whether six. He's he is a

[59:10] hunter. He hunts and he said, "I don't

[59:12] know." Like, you know, maybe it was a

[59:13] frangible bullet or something. I don't I

[59:15] have no idea. And he's going off of them

[59:17] saying it was a 30 odd six. And at that

[59:20] point, Erica offered an explanation. And

[59:22] she said, "Well, my baby, you know, he

[59:24] ate so healthy and I'm sure it's like he

[59:27] had a man of steel neck because he ate

[59:30] so healthy."

[59:32] Robinson standing at a Dairy Queen right

[59:35] in front of a poster that said Man of

[59:42] that that quotation and that explanation

[59:44] came from Erica as she was trying to

[59:46] pull an excuse out of the surgeon which

[59:49] somehow got elevated to the number one

[59:51] priority on the day of her husband's

[59:52] actual funeral.

[59:54] They were stressed out that the the

[59:56] public had learned that the bullet

[59:57] didn't go through. Why would you be

[59:58] stressed out about that?

[00:56] there are there's only one eyewitness

[01:01] to him having been on the roof and the

[01:04] person who says that he saw him

[01:05] crouching low, the person that shared

[01:07] the video of the guy on the roof and was

[01:10] like, "Look up here. Somebody just got

[01:12] up there." I spoke to that individual

[01:15] and he never saw a shot fired. Never

[01:19] said that he saw a shot fired. knows

[01:21] about weapons

[01:23] and finds it really unusual that the

[01:26] prosecution hasn't reached out to him.

[01:30] So, I I don't know what happened. I just

[01:35] know what didn't happen. And I feel

[01:38] confident stating that Tyler Robinson

[01:40] did not kill murder Charlie Kirk.

[01:42] Whether or not he was an accessory to

[01:44] the crime,

[01:46] do I believe he was at Dairy Queen

[01:47] dropping off clothes? Yeah. How did he

[01:50] get mixed up in that? I don't know.

[01:51] Maybe he was blackmailed.

[01:53] Maybe he got into involved in some weird

[01:56] stuff online. That's the easiest way for

[01:58] the feds to blackmail someone. I think

[26:17] like 12 years old I think having his

[26:20] first beer and they left like

[26:22] horrifically racist messages like

[26:26] bullet in the back of your head like

[26:48] son, which turned it into a political

[26:50] thing. And suddenly now, uh, everyone

[26:53] wanted to cover this. I hadn't even

[26:55] reported it myself. I actually was just

[26:57] talking about it in a philosophy class

[26:58] in high school. And my teacher at the

[27:00] time, who's now the principal of the

[27:02] school of a high school, he's great,

[27:03] loved him. He was like, "This is

[27:04] absolutely unacceptable. You're going in

[27:07] right now reporting this." And so he

[27:09] went right into the principal's office

[27:11] and reported it. And then it felt like

[27:12] everything was taken out of completely

[27:15] out of my control. And it was like front

[27:18] page fodder because it was look what the

[27:21] mayor's son was involved in. I had never

[27:23] met the kid in my entire life. and the

[27:27] racism theme and the NAACP is showing up

[27:30] on the the steps of my high school. They

[27:33] had never spoken to me about the NAACP

[27:35] has got to NAACP. So that kind of shaped

[27:37] my ideas about them as well because no

[27:40] one cared about how we felt at that

[27:41] point. No one cared about really what

[27:44] probably should have happened is he

[27:47] probably should have been forced to

[27:49] apologize and they probably rather than

[27:51] smearing him as a racist. I mean was he

[27:53] a racist? No. We were best friends.

[27:56] That's kind of the point. Did he do

[27:58] something and say something racist? Yes.

[28:04] trying to hurt someone, how easily

[28:06] available it is to use a racist term.

[28:54] know ended up getting into a lot of

[28:56] trouble. I think the kid that was my

[28:58] best friend, he I ended up leaving

[29:00] school for a bit and um homeschooling

[29:03] just because I wanted while they the FBI

[29:06] was investigating the authenticity of

[29:08] the message as if it was I'm sure that

[29:09] was being pressed

[29:40] kid to be branded as a racist for doing

[31:23] yourself as a human being. And things

[31:25] are really easy when you add technology

[31:38] generation of kids who are growing up

[32:04] just seeing the obsession to politicize

[47:26] you know, I can dress myself and all

[47:29] this is. So, it's a it's a small team.

[47:33] And when we do have to hire, I I go with

[47:36] my gut. We recently hired um a new

[47:40] director and he's been fantastic. And

[47:42] the reason why he was great is he just

[47:44] totally sits outside of the entire

[47:46] wheelhouse of politics. So he just was

[47:49] just a burst of fresh air and you know

[47:53] loves to research just a great positive

[47:55] attitude and you have to want to be

[47:57] around the people too.

[47:58] >> You spend a lot of time you're fighting

[48:00] a lot of battles with them

[48:01] >> and so you want to keep them motivated

[48:03] and have a good time and be able to

[48:06] laugh and enjoy each other have the same

[48:09] values in life. I think everybody on my

[48:10] team is in a really good place in life,

[48:12] like fulfilled by their relationships,

[48:14] by their marriages. Um, so it just it

[48:18] feels good.

[48:28] >> went to the University of Rhode Island?

[48:31] That incident in high school happened

[48:34] when it was in my senior year. So, it

[48:36] kind of threw my entire senior year into

[48:37] chaos. And I'm lucky I even applied to

[48:40] college. I almost didn't even apply cuz

[48:42] it was so crazy. And URI was like close

[48:46] enough. I just applied to URI,

[48:48] got in, went there.

[48:51] >> What' you want to study?

[48:52] >> English and journalism. I have a double

[48:54] major in English and journalism. So I

[48:56] think it's quite fitting. [laughter]

[49:00] >> Where do we go from there?

[49:02] >> Where do I where did I go from there?

[49:04] Mhm.

[49:04] >> So, actually the story is I had I

[49:06] finished my degree later because Sally

[49:08] May had a huge collapse and um didn't

[49:12] give me my loan for my senior year of

[49:14] college. I have senior year issues. I've

[49:16] realized [laughter] you've got some

[49:18] senior year issues. And um so I had to

[49:22] figure it out. Sally May basically was

[49:24] like, "You have one year before we start

[49:25] knocking on your door and demanding your

[49:27] firstborn child." I had 100k in student

[49:30] loan debt. They weren't going to pay for

[49:31] the last year. crazy. I could wax poetic

[49:35] about

[49:37] the industry of student loans. It's it's

[49:40] so predatory finding poor people and

[49:43] getting them to pledge. It's just to be

[49:45] in debt for the rest of their lives. But

[49:48] um I then moved to New York City. I had

[49:51] no plan. I picked up a job nannying um

[49:54] and was like while I was nannying if I

[49:57] could just start applying for jobs

[49:58] because these loans were starting to um

[50:02] uh haunt me. I needed to make some money

[50:04] and get out of debt. And so I was like

[50:07] if I get my foot in the door anywhere I

[50:09] can sell myself. I can like I can learn

[50:11] anything. I'm a really hard worker. And

[50:14] my second interview at a private equity

[50:16] firm, I saw that like they pay their

[50:18] assistants really well, these private

[50:20] equity guys. And so my second interview

[50:22] at a private equity firm, I got hired to

[50:24] be a second assistant and hired on the

[50:28] spot, which was fantastic. And then I

[50:30] stayed with that company for four years.

[50:31] And when I left, I was like the vice

[50:33] president of the administration.

[50:34] >> Wow.

[50:35] >> They were fantastic to me. I was treated

[50:37] really well. Um, and I got to travel the

[50:39] world because it was one of those jobs

[50:41] where I had to do everything.

[50:42] Everything. I mean his wife

[50:45] >> did you just say you went from second

[50:47] assistant to VP of the entire company in

[50:50] four years?

[50:50] >> VP of the administration. It was a small

[50:52] company. So I don't want to make it

[50:53] wasn't like there was like a thousand

[50:54] employees. It was like a almost like a

[50:56] family style trade desk. Um a true

[51:00] private equity structure. Um I mean

[51:03] maybe 18 employees which was nice. It's

[51:06] actually is part of the reason why I

[51:07] like the idea of a small team cuz I saw

[51:09] it work

[51:10] >> and [snorts]

[51:11] you know they were killers. We worked

[51:13] really hard and I got to meet a lot of

[51:17] really cool people. They invested also

[51:18] in movies and

[51:20] um there was a lot of traveling

[51:22] involved. So I got to see the world on

[51:24] somebody else's dime which was great too

[51:27] because he also when he had crises

[51:30] happening in his personal life he really

[51:32] trusted me to just learn anything and

[51:34] figure it out. Whether it was building a

[51:35] house in Monttok, whether it was I mean

[51:38] I ended up with Snoop Dogg in Croatia,

[51:41] you know what I mean? like there's just

[51:42] so there were so many crazy adventures.

[51:46] Uh and no two days were the same. So I

[51:49] had a fantastic time while I was there

[51:51] and um I was there to pay off my student

[51:53] loans and I so every time bonus season

[51:55] came around I would just ask him to pay

[51:56] another chunk you know hey can you pay

[51:59] another chunk? Pay another chunk and he

[52:00] did. I was working for the principal

[52:02] there and so I they also even put me

[52:05] through

[52:07] went down to learn Spanish. I moved to

[52:09] Costa Rica for was it a eight-week

[52:13] program and you live with a family that

[52:15] doesn't speak any English because he had

[52:17] a wife that was Spanish speaking and so

[52:19] she hired a lot of Spanish staff and I

[52:20] was like well I got to learn the

[52:21] language I can't manage the staff if I

[52:23] don't know the language and so because

[52:25] they traveled you know everyone goes to

[52:27] Montalk or the Hamptons for the summer I

[52:30] was like I just I found a program can

[52:32] you pay for me to go down there I'll

[52:33] learn Spanish and so I did that

[52:36] >> you learned so you speak Spanish

[52:37] >> yeah well I'm now really really rusty,

[52:39] but I did I was fluent in Spanish and um

[52:43] I can understand Spanish though. And so

[52:46] yeah, I mean I really lived a lot in

[52:48] those 4 and 1/2 years um that I was

[52:51] there,

[52:53] saw a lot of the world and

[52:56] just I always wanted to grow. I always

[52:58] wanted I I like learning. I like

[53:01] learning. I like focusing. Anything that

[53:02] I put my mind to, I feel like I can

[53:04] learn. And um

[53:07] that was kind of my introduction to I

[53:10] mean there's no place if you can make it

[53:11] in New York, you can make it anywhere.

[53:12] That's the expression. And I I I live by

[53:15] that. I really do believe that cuz it's

[53:16] it's such a tough city.

[53:18] >> What were you doing at Vogue?

[53:20] >> So that's when I was interning

[53:21] initially. I I was um interning and I

[53:24] did the whole magazine circuit. So I did

[53:25] 17 magazine, I did Glamour magazine, and

[53:28] I did Vogue, which was the big one that

[53:30] everyone wants to get into. And

[53:33] it was of course as somebody who loved

[53:36] to write. I majored in English and

[53:38] journalism. That was my glamorous idea

[53:41] was that I was going to go move to New

[53:42] York City and I don't know be Carrie

[53:45] Bradshaw from Sex in the City. I don't

[53:46] know what my idea was. It was in

[53:49] retrospect a little bit cartoonish. And

[53:51] then when I got there I just culturally

[53:53] was like yeah I don't even want to do

[53:54] this. You know this is not where I want

[53:56] to work. The girls were so vicious, so

[53:58] hungry. So, [laughter] you know, and but

[54:02] I learned a lot. I mean, they would have

[54:05] fond memories of me. I worked my butt

[54:06] off and that was why I kind of graduated

[54:08] up to the magazines and

[54:11] was the head of the intern closet, so to

[54:14] speak, at Vogue and made great friends.

[54:18] So, I've kind of I've been a lot of

[54:20] places really when I think about it.

[54:23] >> New York was tough. It was fun. It was a

[54:26] lot of lessons learned and they even the

[54:30] um the private equity firm even let me

[54:32] take because I I wanted to learn a

[54:34] little bit about private equity you know

[54:35] I became a notary because anytime they

[54:37] were like we need this I was like how

[54:39] many times am I going to get a notary in

[54:40] here why don't I just become a notary

[54:41] that's kind of person I am like so I

[54:42] just became took the test and became a

[54:44] notary and then um did this NYU

[54:47] accounting course as well because I

[54:49] wanted to understand a little bit more

[54:51] about the finance side of what we were

[54:53] doing because I was interested in the

[54:54] deals they were really all so different

[54:56] that were being brought. Um, so it was

[54:59] fun. It was a lot of fun.

[57:24] young, you don't have a heart. If you're

[57:25] not a conservative, when you die, you

[57:38] know your your philosophy changes a bit

[57:41] politically inclined so I never voted

[57:43] Democrat I was just I would have very

[57:46] much described myself as a liberal and

[57:48] if you had asked me any topic I would

[57:49] have been I would have been across the

[57:53] Democratic party line if I was actually

[57:55] voting but I wasn't. What switched you?

[57:58] >> Um, you know, I had this curious set of

[58:02] in of circumstances that brought me to

[58:05] like the something that was known as the

[58:07] Gamergate conspiracy.

[58:08] >> What is that?

[58:10] >> Honestly, I still couldn't tell you to

[58:12] be honest with you cuz I am not a gamer

[58:13] as I just said, but I was like Alice in

[58:16] Wonderland and was trying to I I put up

[58:20] a Kickstarter to put together a company.

[58:24] I had this idea after I paid down all of

[58:27] my student loans and I had a little

[58:28] savings account that I wanted to start

[58:30] and it was maybe maybe all heart nobrain

[58:34] a company that would get kids into to be

[58:37] able to like get in trouble on the

[58:39] internet without having these

[58:40] consequences like being arrested. And so

[58:42] my bright idea was that I was going to

[58:44] create this company called Social

[58:45] Autopsy and if they got in trouble

[58:48] online they they wouldn't like get into

[58:52] legal trouble and rather than that it

[58:54] would sort of help them like I don't

[58:56] know maybe get suspended or something

[58:58] like it was like my way of trying to

[59:00] write the wrongs maybe misguided from

[59:02] what happened in high school totally

[59:03] misguided and I was very green and I put

[59:07] it up on Kickstarter and I got this

[59:09] weird call from this girl called Zoe

[59:11] Quinn

[59:12] gamers who are watching this will know

[59:14] exactly who this is. They'll be like,

[59:15] "Yes, the gamer. That's that's how I

[59:17] knew you or whatever." And it was really

[59:19] weird because she was telling me she was

[59:20] a victim and that I couldn't make this

[59:22] company. She misunderstood what we were

[59:24] even thinking about doing. She thought

[59:26] we had we're going to build a technology

[59:28] like a Silicon Valley technology to

[59:30] unmask trolls on the internet, which was

[59:33] not at all what we were doing. We had no

[59:34] capability to do this. We had a splash

[59:36] page. That's why we were on Kickstarter.

[59:38] I had no connections to be able to do

[59:39] that. But her call, she was saying she

[59:41] was a victim, but it was very obvious

[59:43] she was threatening me. And I didn't

[59:45] know anything about this girl or gamer

[59:46] gay. And um long story short, after I

[59:49] hang up the phone call with her, I start

[59:51] getting hit with a bunch of threats

[59:52] online. And it was very obvious to me

[59:54] that this girl was directing threats.

[59:56] Just my gut instinct that something was

[59:58] wrong with this girl. And I landed

[00:00] myself into the middle of a hu like huge

[00:05] gamer gate like

[00:09] war that was being covered extensively

[00:11] by Breitbart. I'm I'm really just always

[00:13] in the wrong place at the wrong time.

[00:15] And so suddenly next thing Washington

[00:17] Post is calling me. I'm not known at

[00:18] this time. They're calling me and

[00:20] they're ask and I'm thinking these are

[00:21] my friends. Like I went to school

[00:23] Washington Post that is the

[00:25] top-of-the-line journalism. I learned

[00:26] this in school. like what? I'm so

[00:29] flattered to be able to give you this

[00:30] interview. And I spoke to this girl,

[00:33] Caitlyn Dewey was her name. I'll never

[00:34] forget that. And she interview, she was

[00:36] so nice on the phone and I said to her,

[00:37] "Yeah." And I explained to her what

[00:38] happened. I'm like, "I really don't

[00:39] think that girl's Obie Quinn is telling

[00:40] the truth because, you know, she was a

[00:43] victim and said that she was harassed on

[00:45] by gamers." And so she kind of built a

[00:47] whole 501c3 platform based off of that.

[00:50] And I guess the Gamergate conspiracy was

[00:52] that she was actually leading an army of

[00:53] trolls. And that was just my experience

[00:55] with her in four seconds, you know, and

[00:57] I had no idea like I what was going on

[00:59] or what the back was just like that girl

[01:01] um is led trolls against me and that

[01:03] girl wasn't a victim. And boy was that a

[01:05] big statement. Anyway, the Washington

[01:07] Post after they interviewed me, Caitlyn

[01:09] Dwey, also New York Magazine, I believe

[01:11] it was, or the New Yorker, Jesse Signal

[01:14] or Single was his name, Signal, they

[01:18] lied and like smeared me after I thought

[01:20] these guys were my friends and like I

[01:22] was I told them the truth and they were

[01:24] like protecting this girl Zoe Quinn. It

[01:26] was so weird. And this was the entire

[01:28] thrust of the Gamergate conspiracy was

[01:31] that this girl was being artificially

[01:33] protected, that she was actually leading

[01:35] an army of trolls and pretending that we

[01:38] needed to do something about men and

[01:40] gamers on the internet. And this is kind

[01:42] of like the preamble to the Hillary

[01:44] Clinton campaign, which became very much

[01:46] like we kind of got into this anti-

[01:49] masculinity, men are toxic. It was kind

[01:51] of the preamble to that. And I think she

[01:53] had a real fear that if I had created

[01:56] this technology which could unmask

[01:58] trolls that it was going to expose that

[02:01] she everything the gamer conspiracy

[02:04] theorists were saying was true.

[02:05] >> That was my read on the situation. And

[02:06] so she was being protected and I never

[02:08] really I mean I'm just not a gamer. I

[02:10] just didn't know. But the only people

[02:12] that actually gave me a fair shake in

[02:13] the media who I spoke to was Breitbart,

[02:16] which was crazy cuz I thought they were

[02:17] like the white supremacist, you know, my

[02:20] Connecticut

[02:22] um Democratic surroundings, blue

[02:25] liberalish mind. I was really reticent

[02:29] to speak to them and then they wrote the

[02:31] truth about what I had said. So I was

[02:34] kind of like, what the heck is going on?

[02:36] Why is up down and down up? Uh, and at

[02:40] this at this time, at the same time,

[02:42] Trump was running. And so I was kind of

[02:45] questioning my allegiance to leftist

[02:47] media, so to speak, because of how I was

[02:49] treated, and I didn't really comprehend

[02:50] when I just told them the truth about

[02:52] this random chick. And um, Trump, they

[02:56] were saying, was like a racist, a white

[02:58] supremacist, all of this stuff. And I

[03:00] was willing to at least listen to the

[03:01] other side because I now did not trust

[03:04] the Washington Post. And so I decided to

[03:07] just listen to like a Trump speech

[03:09] without having it filtered for me by CNN

[03:11] or MSNBC and I heard his like pitch to

[03:14] black America and he was in Dimundell,

[03:16] Michigan at the time and he said, you

[03:19] know, black America and he sort of

[03:21] listed all of the ways in which black

[03:23] Americans are struggling like the

[03:25] statistics just the like the raw

[03:26] statistics and he said why don't you

[03:29] just take a chance on me? What do you

[03:30] have to lose? Just do something

[03:31] different. You vote Democrat every every

[03:34] four years. And I was like, you know,

[03:35] fair elevator p elevator pitch. I like

[03:37] it. Whatever. Still not going to get my

[03:39] vote, but like whatever. And then I

[03:42] pivoted to my trusted sources over at

[03:45] CNN and like Don Lemon was like crying

[03:47] over and was like he looked black

[03:49] America in the face and he said, "You

[03:51] are poor. You are pathetic. You can't do

[03:53] this." And I was like, "That didn't that

[03:57] didn't happen at all. That's not what he

[03:58] said." He gave a kind of reasonable

[04:01] pitch. You've been doing the same thing.

[04:02] Why don't you try something different?

[04:03] And so that began a huge,

[04:07] man, could I have had this thing wrong?

[04:08] Like, are Republicans not all racist and

[04:10] backwards? Like, is there something I'm

[04:13] missing here? And me just sort of being

[04:15] the naturally curious person that I am

[04:18] who wants to learn more. I kind of

[04:20] privately began that pursuit and it led

[04:24] me to Thomas Soul and his work and his

[04:26] books and it changed my life. I I really

[04:29] uh love Thomas Soul. I feel like he's

[04:31] like my private tutor who I've never

[04:33] met.

[04:41] conservative. I was raised with my

[04:42] grandfather. He was conservative, a

[05:08] best guard against the government.

[06:56] and his entire life's mission then

[06:59] transformed into I will do anything to

[07:01] win again including making a deal with

[07:03] the devil and selling my soul.

[07:10] Mlesen. Something that he once mocked

[07:12] Marco Rubio from doing. He tweeted once

[07:14] about Sheldon Aden owning Marco Rubio.

[07:20] people who run the Vegas.

[07:27] who run Vegas and tell them no about

[07:49] it's time to pay up. And so Trump is not

[08:21] and Donald Trump that she said that I'll

[08:22] cut you this check. But I when we want

[08:25] to annex the West Bank,

[08:29] that's what he they wanted in exchange.

[08:32] now I think he probably has a little bit

[08:34] of regret taking the money.

[16:43] ironically hit his neck and he died

[16:46] instantly. Um, and he his friends didn't

[16:51] believe the circumstances surrounding

[16:52] his death. I had heard rumors of an

[16:55] illegal explosive ring, sort of people

[16:59] getting pet in um, illegally. And Corey

[17:03] was this guy's friend since high school.

[17:06] There's a lot of questions about, you

[17:08] know, shortly after Corey died,

[17:12] Israel did their beeper pet and

[17:14] explosive attack within like 2 months.
