Erika Kirk Honors Rush Limbaugh's Legacy as Donald Trump Rallies Turning Point Action in Phoenix Arizona

Erika Kirk shares a moving story about President Trump's compassion toward Rush Limbaugh during his cancer treatment, revealing how Trump persuaded Rush to attend the State of the Union for the Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony. At this Turning Point Action rally in Phoenix, Arizona, Erika carries forward her late husband's mission while President Trump delivers a wide-ranging speech covering Iran negotiations, border security achievements, economic wins including $18 trillion in new investments, and the importance of winning the midterm elections. Trump emphasizes unprecedented first-year accomplishments, the need to protect American freedoms, and warns that Democrats want to defund ICE and border security while Republicans fight to keep the country safe and prosperous.

A Widow's Tribute to Rush and Trump's Compassion

Erika Kirk opened with a powerful personal story that revealed President Trump's character during one of the most difficult periods in her family's life. Shortly after Rush Limbaugh announced his cancer diagnosis to millions on the radio, the couple headed to Boston for scheduled surgery and treatment. When they landed, President Trump called asking what they were doing. Rush explained they were preparing for surgery that afternoon.

Without hesitation, Trump asked them to come to the Capitol that night. Sitting in an old t-shirt in Boston with minimal packing, Rush looked at Erika in disbelief. They protested that they couldn't possibly make it to Washington that night. But as Erika noted, everyone knows how persuasive President Trump can be. The surgery was delayed, and hours later they were in the Capitol for Rush to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in an unforgettable ceremony.

Erika shared that every few days throughout Rush's illness, President Trump would take time from his busy schedule to call Rush just to check in, with no agenda, simply asking how he was holding up. She declared Trump a great man who cares deeply for the country and for Americans in the same way.

Erika Kirk's Mission to Continue Rush's Legacy

Erika Kirk addressed the massive Turning Point Action crowd in Phoenix, acknowledging that over the past seven months since Rush's death, she has witnessed both the worst and best of humanity. This experience reminded her that every day presents a choice: focus on what's broken or recognize freedoms and fight to protect them. She emphasized that as Americans, we are privileged to live in the greatest country in the world, acknowledging it's not perfect and has problems to solve, but it remains the best we have.

She painted a stark picture of the global landscape: Europe surrendering to third world criminals, the Biden administration putting America on the same track before Trump course corrected, radical Islamists in Nigeria murdering Christians for their faith, and Canada promoting medically assisted suicide over the sanctity of life. In contrast, America understands that a free life is worth living. This combination of freedom, the ability to live openly with faith, and the chance to build a life exists nowhere else on earth.

Erika stressed this didn't happen by accident but because generations fought and sacrificed everything for it, and because all of them as a united front said enough is enough and showed up to vote for President Trump in 2024. She recalled Charlie sitting there going through numbers, maps, and data points, telling them that securing the red wall of Arizona, Nevada, and New Hampshire would cause the opposition's maps to collapse and strategies to fail. This inspired them tremendously.

The Fight to Protect Arizona and America

Erika made clear they cannot simply sit back and admire the 2024 win but must fight to protect it every day. Arizona is home for her—she was raised there, fell in love there, got married there, and is raising her children there. She refuses to watch the state or country be torn completely apart because they want Arizona. She declared that Turning Point Action will fight to defend it, refusing to let California become Arizona or elect people like Eric Swalwell, though she noted they unfortunately have his best friend Ruben Gallego, so there's work to do.

She emphasized not wanting a country that looks like the protesters outside celebrating the murder of her husband. She reminded the audience how quickly things can go wrong, having just lived through four years of corruption dressed up as compassion—Christian pro-life activists persecuted for their beliefs, concerned parents targeted by federal law enforcement for showing up at school board meetings, and Laken Riley's murder amid wide open borders that allowed half a million people to pour into Arizona alone under an administration that didn't care about stopping them.

Now, 452 days into the Trump administration, Erika pointed to significant accomplishments while acknowledging more work remains. She stressed the need to show up again with 80 to 90% voter turnout in the midterms to fortify the red wall for the next decade. She contrasted those actively trying to tear the country apart—starting fights, dividing people, spreading negativity for clicks and algorithm influence to maximize profits—with the hard work of building: getting out the vote, talking to real people, spiritual revival. Charlie gave his life for that actual work, and what gets built lasts for generations long after the noise runs out of one-liners.

Trump's Compassion and America's Mission

Erika concluded that no one understands them better than President Trump. No matter what they throw at him, he perseveres in the face of adversity because the mission is too important and the country is worth fighting for. He is not alone in this fight. They are blessed to be Americans and will fight like it, with no one else they'd rather have on their side than President Donald J. Trump.

President Trump Takes the Stage in Phoenix

President Donald Trump opened by thanking the seniors and especially the young people, noting he'd never seen so many young people in his life. He sent a special hello to Phoenix, where they had a big win in Arizona and all over the country. Trump expressed his thrill to be back in Arizona with the hardworking, God-fearing patriots of Turning Point Action and Turning Point USA.

Seven months ago, Trump noted, the country lost a fearless warrior and his friend for freedom—Charlie Kirk, an amazing man and person murdered by a cruel and vicious assassin who believed that silencing his voice could kill an entire movement. But standing there, it was clear Charlie's voice is not silenced but roaring back louder than ever before. His message is unstoppable, his mission totally unstoppable, and his movement will only succeed. Trump called Charlie a special person with whom he talked all the time about politics, God, and everything else.

Trump thanked Erika Kirk, acknowledging she was put into a rough situation. He told her it's not easy but noted she loved Charlie more than anything else and has done a terrific job. Together they are making America great again, and in November they will win the midterms like never before.

Breaking News on Iran Negotiations

Trump revealed he had some good news to share, asking if anyone would like to hear about Iran. He explained this event was scheduled long ago and he had said to hold off on media for a while, but here he was with all the media waiting. He announced that Iran has just declared the Strait of Hormuz fully open and ready for business with full passage. The naval blockade with the greatest navy in the world from the greatest military ever seen—which Trump built during his first term—will remain in full force regarding Iran until their transaction is 100% complete and fully signed.

Trump said this process should go very quickly as most points are already negotiated and agreed to. The USA will get all nuclear dust—the white powdery substance created by B-2 bombers. Iran, with USA help, has removed or is removing all sea mines. Most importantly, Iran has agreed they will never have a nuclear weapon. Trump explained they will retrieve the nuclear dust by going into Iran together with excavators because the B-2 strikes went so deep they need the biggest excavators imaginable, but they will get it and bring it back to the USA very soon.

Now that the Hormuz Strait situation is almost over, Trump received a call from NATO asking if they would like help. He told them he would have liked their help two months ago but doesn't want it anymore because they were absolutely useless when needed—though he noted they never actually needed NATO; NATO needs America. He compared it to politicians who want to make major campaign contributions after he already won, explaining contributions after winning don't count, and NATO help after winning doesn't count either.

Historic Middle East Achievements

Trump announced they achieved what everyone said was impossible: an unprecedented ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon that hasn't taken place in 78 years. Their deal with Iran is not tied to Lebanon, but they will make Lebanon great again after the world has forgotten them and good people there have lived like hell for a long period. He expressed hope the Hezbollah situation will get straightened out quickly.

Trump thanked Pakistan and its prime minister and field marshal, calling them fantastic people who helped tremendously with courage. He also thanked Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait for their tremendous help in dealing with what they called the bully of the Middle East—Iran, who is no longer the bully.

Unprecedented First Year Accomplishments

Trump declared this the most successful first year of any administration in American history, acknowledged by everybody. He ended eight wars, and if adding Iran and Lebanon, that would be 10 wars ended with many millions of lives saved. Starting day one, they ended the illegal invasion of America by criminals, murderers, drug dealers, and prisoners as countries emptied their prisons into America. They took the most dangerous, unsafe, violent, and open border and created the most secure border in US history—one of the most secure anywhere in the world with zero illegal aliens coming into the country in the past 11 months.

In 2025, they achieved the largest drop in violent crime ever recorded. The murder rate reached the lowest level in over 125 years—since 1900, before Trump's father was born. The flow of deadly fentanyl pouring across the border is down 59%, and illegal drugs coming by ocean or sea are down 97%.

Historic Tax Cuts and Economic Reforms

Trump listed major legislative achievements: the largest tax cuts in American history, the largest spending cuts in American history, the largest regulation cuts in American history, and the largest investment in border security in the country's history. Starting his first day in office, they banned transgender mutilation of children and made it official US policy that there are only two genders: male and female. They got men out of women's sports, removed critical race theory from schools, abolished DEI across the entire federal government, and eliminated so-called affirmative action in federal contracting and university admissions. America is now based on merit again, which is how it became great.

Trump emphasized they have to win the midterms for all these things to stay in place forever. He recounted his State of the Union speech where he gave out the Congressional Medal of Honor to a young man who flew a helicopter with practically his legs shot off and landed perfectly in Venezuela with 48 men on board. He interviewed a mother whose daughter was slashed from behind by a maniac, and introduced a 101-year-old war hero. Not one Democrat clapped for any of these moments until they were told they were getting killed politically, then they started clapping for everything.

Education, Federal Workforce, and Economic Growth

Trump signed a historic executive order starting the process of shutting down the federal Department of Education and sending education back to the states where it should be, thanking Linda McMahon for her work. They removed over 300,000 bureaucrats from federal payrolls, noting many had 10, 11, or 12 people doing one job just sitting there. He expressed respect but emphasized you can't run a country that way if you want to make America great again.

Trump noted many of those people are actually happy because more people are working in the United States than at any time in history. Many former federal workers got jobs in the private sector where they make more money and enjoy their work—an amazing phenomenon.

After decades of other countries stealing jobs and plundering American wealth, thanks to strong tariff policy, they cut the gaping trade deficit by 59% this year—the largest drop in history. Trump noted if you do 1% you're considered a genius, 2-3% is unheard of, so what does 59% make you?

Tax Refunds and Investment Records

As part of tax cuts, they delivered no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security for seniors. The great big beautiful bill also gave the right to deduct interest payments on car loans, but only if the car is made in the USA, which has been incredible. This week millions of Americans received the largest tax refunds of their lives, averaging more than $4,000 per filer—more than Trump had promised.

In four years, Sleepy Joe Biden got less than $1 trillion invested in America. In just 11 months (the twelfth month hadn't concluded yet), the Trump administration secured $18 trillion of new investments coming into the country—a record for any country anywhere in the world by a lot. The King of Saudi Arabia told Trump that a short time ago they viewed the United States as a dead country, but now America is the hottest country anywhere in the world, having invested $2 trillion.

America's Strength and Respect Restored

Trump declared that for years before he took office, people thought America was in decline, that its best days were past, and the sun was setting on American power. But no one thinks that anymore because America is indeed the strongest, hottest, best country anywhere in the world. Nobody laughs at America anymore—they had been laughing, thinking the country was a mess. Under this administration, America is on the march and on the rise like never seen before, respected at levels nobody thought possible.

Unlike past leaders, Trump emphasized, this administration does not apologize for American power, is not ashamed of American might, and does not hesitate to defend the American people. For years they were ruled by fools who let every third-rate country push them around and bleed them dry on trade and everything else. Those days are over and gone forever.

America was not founded by weak and timid men who cowered in the face of evil or sat by as danger loomed, Trump declared. They are descended from George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, Douglas MacArthur, and George Patton. Their ancestors knew exactly what to do with America's enemies: beat them and beat them good.

Self-Reliance and Military Strength

Trump argued that if NATO teaches any one thing, it's that America has to rely on itself and cannot depend on outside countries and sources. He noted most people wanted to avoid getting involved in the recent Iran situation, but sometimes you have to get involved if you're going to remain great. He reminded the audience he's the peacemaker who settled eight wars, including one between India and Pakistan that would have killed 30 to 50 million people, but sometimes involvement is necessary.

Trump stated they are inheritors of the most incredible civilization that has ever existed, and their task is to defend it. Past leaders used American wealth and power to make other countries rich and treated the military like a charity for the world while getting barely a word of thanks. Those countries don't thank America—they think Americans are stupid. Now they're using American strength to advance American interests for American citizens and to ensure America remains the most dominant country on earth.

Every branch of the armed forces is setting new recruitment records because everyone wants to be part of the greatest military the world has ever seen. In January, warriors flew straight into the heart of the Venezuelan capital, captured outlaw dictator Nicholas Maduro, and brought him to face American justice. Very soon this strength will also bring about a new dawn for Cuba after 70 years of waiting.

Energy Independence and Immigration Policy

Under this governing philosophy, Trump explained, instead of locking down energy resources and putting America at the mercy of those that hate them, they are unleashing their own supplies with those beautiful words: "Drill, baby, drill." Because of that, America now produces more oil than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined, and very soon that number will more than double. Their new partner Venezuela is adding substantially to that number.

Instead of using wealth to throw open borders and feed, house, clothe, and police the entire world, they're restoring the principle that America's immigration policies must serve the best interests of America and its citizens. It's called America First—they'll help other countries, but they have to view it as America First, otherwise they won't have a country left.

Trump criticized Democrats for shutting down the Department of Homeland Security to shield the world's most heinous and violent criminals from deportation. They want to keep murderers in the country, fighting very hard to keep them here. He cited specific cases: an illegal alien from Haiti who beat a mother of two to death with a hammer at a Florida gas station, caught on tape; a migrant criminal with 15 prior charges and four prior deportations who threw an 83-year-old veteran onto subway tracks in New York City, killing him instantly. Democrats want to protect these criminals while Republicans want to put them in jail or ideally deport them permanently.

Border Security and Deportation Success

Under Trump's leadership, they ended asylum fraud, ended all catch and release, stopped third world migration, and suspended all refugee resettlement except for persecuted South Africans. Trump highlighted the situation in South Africa where there's a genocide happening, where white farmers are being killed. He noted he did great with the black vote and African American vote, and they understand this better than anybody. They made it possible for persecuted South Africans to come to America, get a green card and passport, and stay in the country.

Trump reported they deported a record number of criminal aliens—nobody has ever seen numbers like this. For the first time in more than 50 years, they now have reverse migration. He asked the audience to imagine where the country would be if instead of spending trillions of dollars on illegal migrants and the Green New scam, past leaders had used American wealth and power to raise civilization to brand new heights.

The Choice in the Midterm Elections

Trump framed the choice for every voter in the midterms: Democrats want to drag America down, destroy the country, and put it into crime, poverty, and squalor of a third world nation. If he hadn't won the election, within a short period America would have been a third world nation. Republicans want to build America up into a nation with no rivals in human history, to make families safer and wealthier than ever before.

He stated plainly: if you want a poor and weak America riddled with crime, death, disease, and problems, vote Democrat. If you want a rich and strong America to be proud of, you must go out in the midterms and vote Republican. Trump acknowledged the strange phenomenon where when a president wins, Republican or Democrat, they lose the midterms often—most of the time. It doesn't make sense, even if the president is doing a good job. He thinks he's doing the best job of anybody, but for some reason this pattern persists. It should be the opposite—when doing well, ending wars all over, the party should do well in midterms.

Arizona Leaders and Special Guests

Trump recognized numerous Arizona leaders present who will help achieve midterm victory, including candidates for Congress like Jay Feely (former NFL kicker), Sheriff Mark Lamb, Representatives Juan Ciscomani, Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs (running for governor), Arizona GOP Chair Sergio Arellano, Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen, State Treasurer Kimberly Yee, and the legendary Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who Trump noted had no border problems when he was in office and endorsed Trump right at the beginning before any of the 18 other candidates.

He also recognized Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, widow of Rush Limbaugh, veteran Border Patrol agent Art Del Cueto, and numerous athletes and sports figures: Ryan Thompson of the Arizona Diamondbacks, World Series champion Mark Grace, World Series MVP Curt Schilling, Hockey Hall of Famer Jeremy Roenick, NASCAR great Danica Patrick, former NBA All-Star Tom Chambers, and Arizona sports legend John Gamadoro.

Continuing the Mandate and Future Vision

Trump emphasized they have a mandate from the American people and will continue delivering like no president has ever delivered before. They were supposed to win three or four swing states, which would be incredible because it's harder for Republicans (he noted they cheat). He had said "make it too big to rig" and told people not to believe the polls even though polls had them way up. They made it too big to rig and won all seven swing states.

Trump announced he recently directed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to begin releasing government files relating to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena. He figured this was a good crowd for this announcement because "you people are really into that." The process is well underway, they found many very interesting documents, and the first releases will begin very soon so people can see if the phenomena is correct.

Policy Priorities Moving Forward

With audience support, Trump outlined priorities: crush violent crime, impose harsh new penalties for repeat offenders (some taken in 28 times and let out two days later), crack down on Marxist prosecutors and rogue judges, end deadly sanctuary cities, and end no cash bail which started it all. Someone shoots somebody, goes in, gets let out, then shoots somebody else the same day.

They will stop radical left Democrats from looting taxpayer dollars and win the war on fraud, headed by Vice President JD Vance. Trump said he wanted that job himself because the fraud is so bad in states like Minnesota, California, and even Maine. They will pass the great healthcare plan to stop all payments to big insurance companies and give money directly to people so they can buy their own healthcare. Everybody likes it except Democrats who are owned by insurance companies and vote no, but they'll get it done one way or another.

They will make most favored nation discounts on drug prices permanent law. Trump got drug reductions on prescription drugs with most favored nation pricing, meaning America pays the lowest price of any nation in the world. When he took office, America paid the highest; he got nations to agree by threatening tariffs and got drug companies to agree. Drug prices will be reduced 60%, 70%, 80%, and in some cases more than 80%—nobody has ever done that.

Health and Housing Reforms

With help from Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., they will make America healthy again. Already they eliminated petroleum-based food dyes, reformed the vaccine schedule, and introduced the real food pyramid, cleaning up the whole mess. Dr. Oz is doing a great job as well.

To help young people afford houses, they will permanently ban Wall Street from buying up thousands of single-family homes and taking them off the market. They will pass the Save America Act to protect sacred American elections where all voters must show voter ID and proof of citizenship—a 97% issue that's 87% even with Democrats, but Democrat politicians don't want it because when you have policy as bad as theirs (men in women's sports, transgender for everybody, open borders with unvetted criminals), the only way to win is to cheat.

They want no mail-in ballots except for illness, disability, military, or travel—mail-in ballots are a big fraud. They will add into permanent statutes no men in women's sports and no transgender mutilation surgery for children.

The Absurdity of Men in Women's Sports

Trump recounted how for 18 years a weightlifting record stood at 212 pounds held by a strong young woman. Then a young man who was a failed weightlifter in the men's division transitioned to become a woman and broke the 18-year record by 112 pounds. He referenced swimming records and long distance running records, describing a recent triathlon-type race where the top man won by 5 hours, 18 minutes, and 57 seconds—he went home and took a nap for exactly 5 hours before getting his award. It's very demeaning and unfair to women.

America's Heritage and Destiny

Together they will defend cherished American heritage, defeat America's enemies, unshackle magnificent destiny, return American astronauts to the moon, and plant the flag on Mars someday soon. For almost 250 years, the nation has stood as an inspiration to humanity and proof of what American faith and courage can achieve, especially over the last year.

American ancestors won independence, vanquished foreign armies, conquered wild frontiers, fought perilous battles, crossed jagged mountains, and in the middle of empty deserts built gleaming cities like Phoenix. Generations poured out blood, sweat, and tears to make America the most exceptional nation the world has ever known. Today they are making it more exceptional than ever thought possible.

The Path to Ultimate Victory

With support in the midterms, Trump declared, they will continue this momentum and achieve total and ultimate victory for America. They will fight, fight, fight and win, win, win. Together they will make America powerful again, wealthy again, healthy again, strong again, proud again, safe again, and great again. Trump thanked Arizona and urged everyone to win those midterms.
