[00:02] lot of hate that I like. My dad loves

[00:04] I'm actually kind of mad that my dad

[00:06] likes this kid so much. Brillan Hollyand

[00:10] I, you know, is it Brideland or Breland?

[00:11] I feel like I want I don't want to say

[00:12] it incorrect, but he is a he's basically

[00:14] the newest guy on the scene since the

[00:16] terrible tragic passing of Charlie. And

[00:19] now no, a million Brandins can't fill

[00:21] Charlie's shoes. But that's not really

[00:22] Breland's job to do that. But he's

[00:24] getting a lot of hate online. I don't

[00:26] think all of it's fair. maybe, you know,

[00:28] a little bit of teasing because that's

[00:29] when you that's what you get for putting

[00:30] yourself in the public eye. You and I

[00:31] both know that. So, where do you fall on

[00:33] Breland and is it fair that he's getting

[00:35] a lot of negative publicity for trying

[00:37] to do something good?

[00:39] >> Well, I've known Brillan since he was

[00:41] about 13 and so he's not a newcomer to

[00:43] the scene. He actually started the Truth

[00:44] Gazette when he was 11 years old. And

[00:47] one of the first interviews that he ever

[00:49] did was with Charlie Kirk and also

[00:51] Candace Owens, which is kind of ironic

[00:53] in today's in today's media narrative.

[00:56] But uh he connected with me when I

[00:58] worked for the Trump campaign and I

[01:00] connected him with uh you know a lot of

[01:02] different members uh and media

[01:04] spokespeople from the Trump campaign. So

[01:05] he's actually been around for a really

[01:06] long time. A lot of people are just now

[01:08] discovering him because he's going to

[01:11] campuses and he's trying to have an open

[01:13] mic situation and talk about a lot of

[01:15] these different values. So um I agree

[01:18] with you that I think that some that a

[01:20] lot of the media criticism is

[01:21] unwarranted. I think some of it is. I

[01:23] think he's had kind of some, you know,

[01:24] bad optics like this photo that you're

[01:26] putting up right now being on the

[01:28] private plane. You know, that's just one

[01:30] of the things that I loved about Charlie

[01:31] is that he never made it about himself.

[01:33] He never made it about his his

[01:35] lifestyle. He never made it about

[01:36] anything with that. That's just, you

[01:38] know, a that that was a mistake for

[01:40] sure.

[01:41] >> Let me cut you off. That's a good thing

[01:42] to get canceled for for being on a

[01:44] private jet. I mean, I know it does

[01:45] definitely doesn't, you know, humanize

[01:46] him. It makes him look like an elitist,

[01:47] but like this is really a small potato

[01:49] scandal at the end of the day. Oh, you

[01:51] flew on a private jet. something that

[01:52] people might criticize, but we would all

[01:54] like to do. You know what I mean?

[01:56] >> Yeah. Well, I mean, and this is where I

[01:58] think that so many people in their anger

[02:00] in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's

[02:02] assassination are coming down really

[02:05] harshly on some of these really young

[02:07] kids who don't deserve as much criticism

[02:10] as much as they deserve mentorship. And

[02:12] so, I actually really respect Ryland for

[02:14] engaging the debate, being willing to go

[02:16] out and speak on college campuses. And

[02:18] listen, you know, when you and I were

[02:20] 18, I don't think that I could have

[02:21] spoken as clearly as Brian. And I

[02:24] certainly didn't have the media

[02:25] following that he did. And so, we need

[02:28] to give him a little bit of grace. Now,

[02:29] is he going to be perfect on everything?

[02:31] Absolutely not. But if the whole idea is

[02:33] to say, "Hey, let's get the young people

[02:35] and Jenzers involved." Then the

[02:37] criticism and going after Brian is

[02:39] certainly not going to encourage that.

[02:41] >> Yeah, I agree with you on that. I think

[02:42] like like I said kind of earlier, you

[02:43] know, there's a little fair criticism

[02:45] for anybody putting themselves in the

[02:46] spotlight, but at the end of the day, he

[02:47] is a young kid that's trying to do good.

[02:49] So, let's not, you know, beat the kid up

[02:50] too much when he's really doing he's a

[02:53] net positive, not a net negative. And I

[02:55] think that that is important. So,

[02:57] everybody kind of has their own role and

[02:58] they need to play it. But what I also

[03:00] see is when they when they hate on him

[03:02] too, a little bit about it is they see a

[03:06] young guy, they feel like that and this

[03:07] I think we all have this with

[03:08] politicians, right? We don't like a

[03:10] young politician. Everybody kind of

[03:11] likes a seasoned politician. So, I think

[03:13] that is kind of what hurts him is that

[03:14] we do live in an age of society where

[03:16] most people like you to be young, but

[03:17] when it comes to like going and touring

[03:18] and being like this, people probably

[03:20] don't like that he's kind of a

[03:21] wonderkinned 18-year-old, you know what

[03:23] I mean? That it just it just it's it's

[03:25] unusual, I guess. Like, there's only one

[03:26] Charlie Kirk. So, I think people are

[03:27] just going to have to kind of get used

[03:29] to um used to him and then, you know,

[03:31] he's going to keep on having success.

[03:32] He's been doing this for over six years,

[03:33] so I have no doubt that he'll be

[03:35] successful.

[03:35] >> Yeah. And you know, his his response has

[03:37] been with humility and grace, which is

[03:40] actually remarkable for being 18. You

[03:41] know, he kind of admitted like, "Hey,

[03:43] you know, here's the truth of the matter

[03:44] on his his photo op on the private jet,

[03:46] and he's saying, listen, this is what

[03:48] I'm trying to do." And I think he's

[03:49] approached it with more humility than

[03:51] we've seen from a lot of Jenzers. So, I

[03:53] respect that, too.

[03:54] >> And Jenna, uh, and so, uh, we give him

[03:57] the best of our luck. We love him. I

[03:59] know you love him. You've helped him out

[04:00] a lot. Not in that weird way, but Jane
