[00:00] Where's Jack?
[00:02] Where's Jack?
[00:04] Where is he? Jack, I want to see you.
[00:09] Great job, Jack. Thank you. What a job
[00:12] you do. You know, we have an incredible
[00:13] thing. We're always talking about the
[00:15] fake news and the bad, but we have guys,
[00:18] and these are the guys should be getting
[00:19] pulic.
[00:23] We're back live here, Human Events
[00:25] Daily. We're in Phoenix, Arizona. We're
[00:27] at the Charlie Kirk studio. Uh, I am not
[00:30] in Charlie's chair. Charlie's chair is
[00:33] right here. It remains empty and it will
[00:35] remain empty because no one sits in the
[00:38] chair. It's Charlie's chair and it's
[00:42] it's been an incredible week and we're
[00:44] here
[00:46] sharing stories of Charlie and we're
[00:48] sharing times that we spent with
[00:50] Charlie, ways that Charlie inspired us
[00:53] and uh even even some of the lighter
[00:55] moments. And so our next guest I'm very
[00:58] excited to have on. She is the host of
[01:00] the Isabelle Brown Show on Daily Wire,
[01:03] but more importantly, she was a close
[01:06] friend of Charlie and she's my friend.
[01:08] Isabelle Brown joins us now.
[01:10] >> Jack, I'm so happy to be here. As I said
[01:12] to you on the break, I wish it was under
[01:13] better circumstances, but I'm so happy
[01:15] to just join together with so many
[01:17] people that knew and loved Charlie this
[01:19] week and to share the happy moments to
[01:21] mourn the loss of our friend and pick up
[01:23] that torch and carry his legacy forward
[01:25] all together throughout the movement.
[01:27] >> Well, the the mission the mission
[01:29] continues. It has to that's that was
[01:31] Charlie's task for all of us. So, so
[01:33] Isabelle, tell us tell us the story of
[01:35] how you met Charlie because I think if I
[01:37] remember correctly, you were a chapter
[01:41] chair.
[01:42] >> I was. I was indeed. You know, it's been
[01:44] so fun to share this with people over
[01:46] the last few days because so many
[01:48] people, far more than I ever realized,
[01:50] and I think Charlie ever really
[01:52] realized, owe everything in their
[01:54] careers, their families, their faith
[01:56] life to Charlie Kirk. Uh because as well
[01:58] as Charlie built an empire and I think
[02:01] what the media is really focusing on
[02:02] this week is the empire that he built in
[02:04] Turning Point USA. Charlie was also
[02:06] really skilled at building people. He
[02:08] had this knack for finding talent in the
[02:10] most unexpected of places and sort of
[02:13] plucking you out of obscurity and giving
[02:14] you an opportunity to join him on the
[02:16] front lines in this mission of the
[02:17] culture war we've been fighting for the
[02:19] last several years. I was one of those
[02:21] people of the many dozens upon dozens
[02:23] upon dozens I've seen in the media this
[02:25] week. uh as a student.
[02:26] >> Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Isabelle,
[02:27] wait, wait, wait. I got to cut you off.
[02:29] That that's that can't be possible
[02:31] because the media tells me that Charlie
[02:33] hated women.
[02:34] >> Exactly. Naturally. Yes. And especially
[02:36] women who publicly use their voice and
[02:38] have a career. But, you know, uh it's
[02:40] it's crazy to see their response. But
[02:42] I'm so grateful that, you know, I had
[02:44] such a roundabout way coming into the
[02:46] conservative movement. I never set out
[02:47] to work in politics or media. Never
[02:50] planned on having a podcast for a living
[02:51] or or working on college campuses. I
[02:53] wanted to be a physician. And my
[02:55] educational background was in the
[02:56] biomedical sciences. But like the
[02:59] thousands of students that have been
[03:00] involved in TurningPoint USA over the
[03:02] last decade, found myself in my classes
[03:04] like anatomy and physiology, not
[03:07] pursuing objective truth and receiving
[03:09] the radical indoctrination of the left
[03:11] on America's college campuses, feeling
[03:13] isolated and alone. Uh, long long story
[03:16] short, got a targeted Facebook ad in
[03:18] 2017 for the Turning Point USA Young
[03:21] Women's Leadership Summit from some guy
[03:22] named Charlie Kirk, who I'd never heard
[03:24] of before. And from the first moment of
[03:26] that first conference, just completely
[03:28] fell in love with Charlie's mission,
[03:30] with his energy, with his drive to save
[03:32] the country and his belief that young
[03:34] people can transform our society. So, I
[03:36] started a Turning Point USA chapter at
[03:38] Colorado State University in 2017,
[03:42] hosted Charlie Kirk as a speaker on our
[03:44] campus for one of his first major
[03:45] speaking engagements in February of
[03:47] 2018. Uh, and along that way, Charlie
[03:50] became a dear friend and mentor and just
[03:51] encouraged me to listen to where God was
[03:54] leading me in my life to consider not
[03:56] working in a fluorescently lit hospital
[03:58] as a surgeon for the rest of my life,
[04:00] but instead use my voice and the talents
[04:02] that God gave me and refine those with
[04:04] the right coaching. thanks to people
[04:05] like Charlie uh to continue this mission
[04:07] and inspire more people in our
[04:08] generation.
[04:11] >> And that's that's really what it's what
[04:13] it's all about. And then, you know, you
[04:15] became one of the people who of course
[04:17] joined Turning Point. You you relocated
[04:19] to Phoenix. That's where I met you uh
[04:21] when you were here doing the Turning
[04:23] Point shows and I was doing the news
[04:25] side on on human events and you were
[04:27] just just just busting it down with uh
[04:30] your hot freedom takes and and you know
[04:33] pro- liberty takes and it's and it's
[04:35] amazing because you look at all the
[04:37] people who Charlie raised up and who he
[04:39] gathered together and who he gave he
[04:43] gave his platform to that he didn't have
[04:45] to do that but he wanted to do that
[04:48] because He wanted to grow the movement.
[04:51] And I think that's something that so
[04:53] many people get wrong about Charlie is
[04:54] that for him it really wasn't about
[04:57] himself or his ego or his, you know,
[04:59] however many followers he had or
[05:01] something like that. It really was about
[05:03] building a broader movement for the
[05:05] whole country.
[05:06] >> You know, I can't tell you, Jack, how
[05:07] many times Charlie said those words
[05:09] verbatim that it's amazing, Isabelle,
[05:10] what you can get done and what you can
[05:12] accomplish if you don't care who gets
[05:14] the credit. And Charlie was all about
[05:16] not receiving the credit. He wanted
[05:18] everyone else to take home the awards
[05:20] and the accolades and the responsibility
[05:22] publicly for what happened. Even though
[05:24] he was the one tirelessly working behind
[05:25] the scenes as an organizer, as an
[05:28] activist, as someone literally building
[05:30] the the day-to-day operations of this
[05:31] movement that changed an entire
[05:33] generation and from the top down, really
[05:35] setting the tone as the leader of the
[05:37] the young conservative movement. Charlie
[05:39] said to me repeatedly over the years,
[05:41] depending on what era we were in, that
[05:43] someone else was always the ideological
[05:45] leader of the conservative movement. We
[05:47] have to take our cues from that person.
[05:49] Isabelle, I don't think he realized that
[05:51] at some point along the way, it became
[05:53] Charlie. He was the ideological leader
[05:55] of this movement. And thanks to the
[05:56] Charlie Kirk show really set the tone
[05:59] for the moral foundation of the movement
[06:01] as it carries forward with what we're
[06:03] fighting for. It's not just about
[06:05] electing a great president or saving the
[06:07] country, but this was about a pursuit of
[06:09] saving people's souls and reviving what
[06:11] is good and true and beautiful. And
[06:13] you're absolutely right. He did lend his
[06:15] platform, literally, not just Turning
[06:17] Point USA, but the Charlie Kirk show to
[06:19] so many people over the years and helped
[06:21] to give them a voice and a platform of
[06:22] their own. In 2020, he lost his voice
[06:25] for a few weeks there. And I was so
[06:27] fortunate to be asked to co-host the
[06:29] Charlie Kirk show with him. I was so
[06:30] nervous because I had not really done
[06:32] long form content like that before, but
[06:34] really they just needed someone to sit
[06:36] next to him for when he coughed. They
[06:37] had to mute the microphone and someone
[06:39] had to pick it up before going into
[06:40] commercial break. I learned so much from
[06:43] him. And between that and all night live
[06:45] streaming coverage of elections, we were
[06:48] live streaming together on January 6th,
[06:50] which was the craziest day of my life. I
[06:52] got to see this young man in high
[06:54] pressure, intense situations, but he
[06:57] always had a smile on his face. He was
[06:59] the epitome of a happy warrior and he
[07:01] had this depth of belief in what we were
[07:03] fighting for unlike anyone I've ever
[07:05] met.
[07:06] >> No, that's exactly right. And that's who
[07:09] Charlie was on camera, off camera. And
[07:13] he had the drive, he had the ambition,
[07:15] he had the vision. And he never wanted
[07:18] to he never wanted to settle for less.
[07:20] He was always asking, "How can we do
[07:22] more?" And even when he achieved more,
[07:24] he's he would say, "Great, now how do we
[07:26] do bigger next year? How do we make the
[07:28] next one bigger? How do we make the next
[07:29] one larger? You know, this tour we're
[07:31] going to uh 15 campuses. How do we go to
[07:34] 30? How do we go to 100?" That's that's
[07:37] just how he was built. And I think for a
[07:40] lot of people, they say, you know, how
[07:41] can somebody how can one person have so
[07:44] much drive and they they they look for
[07:46] there to be some some, you know, he must
[07:48] have been cheating. He must have uh you
[07:49] know, had this help or that help. And I
[07:51] said, it's it's just God. It's it's
[07:53] really just God. And it's as simple as
[07:55] that.
[07:57] >> Perfectly said. Charlie had a God-given
[08:00] ability to see something that had never
[08:02] been accomplished before in anyone's
[08:04] wildest dreams and see it as his future
[08:06] reality. To know that nothing is
[08:08] impossible if you humble yourself,
[08:10] become less of yourself and more of God.
[08:12] And he woke up every single day to do
[08:14] just that. And I have no doubt that will
[08:16] be the legacy of Turning Point USA in
[08:18] this next chapter. Uh, everyone keeps
[08:20] asking me in the media, even though I
[08:22] don't even work at Turning Point
[08:23] anymore, which is so fun, but they keep
[08:24] asking me, "Well, does Turning Point
[08:26] have the the intellectual and the
[08:28] institutional capacity to to handle
[08:30] these 54,000 chapter requests?" And I
[08:33] always laugh and say, "Absolutely.
[08:35] Charlie's been telling the staff for 10
[08:37] plus years, we need a chapter on every
[08:39] single campus in America, and we're
[08:41] going to do everything we can to make
[08:42] that happen." And I don't think he ever
[08:44] could have predicted it would happen
[08:45] that quickly within a span of just a few
[08:47] days. But uh it's remarkable to see the
[08:49] energy that young people are so inspired
[08:51] by that was set at the tone at the top
[08:53] from Charlie to now say what can I do in
[08:56] my community? How can I influence my own
[08:58] spheres of influence in my family, my
[08:59] friend group and my high school or my
[09:01] church group? Uh and how can we work
[09:03] together to save this great country?
[09:06] And Isabelle, just just in the last
[09:08] minute because I a minute or two that I
[09:10] have you here, there is something that
[09:12] needs to be addressed and that is this
[09:14] question of the perpetrator because I
[09:18] feel like there is and I know there is a
[09:20] massive deception operation going on
[09:23] right now to cover up the fact that a
[09:25] leftist murdered our friend Charlie
[09:28] Kirk.
[09:29] >> Yeah, you're absolutely right, Jack. We
[09:31] we recorded an episode of my show that's
[09:33] going to be airing tomorrow about how no
[09:35] one is investigating that this is a
[09:36] larger network that we have observed.
[09:39] You know this better than anyone on
[09:40] college campuses at Turning Point events
[09:42] for the better part of a decade that
[09:44] violent protests have taken place to
[09:46] threaten Charlie and everyone remotely
[09:48] associated with Turning Point's lives
[09:50] over the past several years. We've been
[09:52] warning about this. We've been posting
[09:53] about this. We've been asking law
[09:54] enforcement to do something about it.
[09:56] And instead, we found out from Senator
[09:58] Chuck Grassley yesterday that for the
[10:00] last several years, the FBI has been
[10:02] investigating Turning Point and Charlie
[10:04] Kirk as a potential domestic terror
[10:06] organization. This has to be a much
[10:08] bigger investigation. Uh we desperately
[10:10] need answers to these questions if we
[10:12] ever want something not to happen like
[10:14] this ever again. And shame on the media
[10:16] for not treating this as appropriately
[10:18] as they should be.
[10:20] No,
[10:20] >> it's it's it's really simple. Charlie
[10:22] Kirk was murdered by a leftist and
[10:25] leftist cheered. We all saw it and
[10:28] people have to remember that we saw it
[10:31] because they they hate being found out
[10:34] and Isabelle Brown is one of the people
[10:37] who is always going to find them out.
[10:39] Isabelle, where can people go to follow
[10:41] and keep up with your show? You can find
[10:44] me all across social media platforms at
[10:46] the Isabelle Brown and I'm so excited to
[10:48] be joining our chapter at Colorado State
[10:49] University tomorrow in Charlie's Place.
[10:52] Uh the tour was supposed to continue
[10:53] there tomorrow, but we are having a
[10:55] major prayer vigil for everyone across
[10:56] the West to gather together and mourn
[10:58] the loss of
