JD Vance and Stephen Miller Vow to Dismantle Domestic Terror Networks After Charlie Kirk Assassination
Vice President JD Vance sits down with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller to discuss the ongoing investigation into Charlie Kirk's assassination and the administration's plan to combat organized violence from the far left. Miller shares personal memories of Kirk and reveals that Kirk's final message called for a strategy against leftwing organizations promoting violence. In an emotional and resolute conversation, Miller pledges to use every federal resource to identify and dismantle what he describes as vast domestic terror networks, vowing to carry out this mission in Kirk's name.
Vice President JD Vance opened this segment of The Charlie Kirk Show by introducing Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff and close friend to both Vance and Charlie Kirk. Before diving into policy discussions, Vance asked Miller to share personal memories of Kirk, giving the audience insight into who Kirk was beyond the microphone.
Miller, who knew Kirk for a decade, described him as "a treasured friend" who had a unique ability to make people believe more in themselves. "He was your biggest cheerleader," Miller explained. "If I was working on a hard project, an important executive order, a major new initiative, he would give me the strength and the focus to get it done."
Vance agreed, adding that Kirk was "everybody's supporter, enthusiast, cheerleader, promoter" who "made all of us better every single day."
The Transition Period: Kirk's Final Days of Service
Miller reflected on a particularly meaningful period following the election victory. "The memory that I keep turning to is not a single memory. It's a period of a couple months after we won the election," Miller shared. "Charlie was in the campaign or the transition office every single day and from dawn till dusk volunteering his time to get into the weeds, the nitty-gritty of government. And he was so damn excited."
The emotion was evident as Miller added, "It just really hurts to think about it right now. He was so excited about all of us being here."
Kirk's Final Message: A Call to Action
In a revelation that underscored Kirk's commitment to combating organized violence, Miller disclosed the contents of Kirk's last message to him. "The last message that Charlie sent me was I think it was just the day before we lost him, which is that we need to have an organized strategy to go after the leftwing organizations that are promoting violence in this country."
Miller's voice grew resolute as he declared, "I will write those words onto my heart and I will carry them out."
Channeling Grief Into Action
When discussing his emotional state, Miller distinguished between destructive and productive anger. "There's incredible sadness, but there's incredible anger," he acknowledged. "The thing about anger is that unfocused anger or blind rage is not a productive emotion. But focused anger, righteous anger directed for a just cause is one of the most important agents of change in human history."
Vance affirmed this sentiment with an emphatic "Amen."
A Comprehensive Plan to Combat Domestic Terror Networks
Miller then outlined the administration's strategy to address what he characterized as organized campaigns of violence. "We are going to channel all of the anger that we have over the organized campaign that led to this assassination to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks," he stated.
He detailed the components of these networks:
Organized doxing campaigns
Organized riots
Organized street violence
Organized campaigns of dehumanization and vilification
Posting people's addresses
Messaging designed to trigger and incite violence
Organized cells that carry out and facilitate violence
"It is a vast domestic terror movement," Miller declared.
A Sacred Vow
Miller concluded with a solemn pledge: "With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks and make America safe again for the American people. It will happen, and we will do it in Charlie's name."
The Investigation Continues
Vice President Vance opened the conversation by addressing questions about the ongoing investigation. While respecting the FBI's process, he assured the audience that "we are on top of this and the entire administration is trying to do as much as possible to find everything that we can about what led to this, about how we got here, and of course, ultimately how an assassin took Charlie's life."
The conversation represented not just a policy discussion but a personal commitment from those who knew and loved Kirk to ensure his death would not be in vain.
