Miranda Devine Reveals How Hunter Biden Laptop Whistleblower John Paul Mac Isaac Faces Bankruptcy After Government Retaliation
The computer shop owner who turned Hunter Biden's laptop over to the FBI now faces bankruptcy after what he describes as a coordinated intimidation campaign. Miranda Devine, author of Laptop from Hell, discusses how John Paul Mac Isaac, a legally blind patriot who uncovered potential Biden family corruption, has been targeted by death threats, IRS harassment, and lost legal battles with Twitter. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden has grown wealthier, highlighting a stark injustice for the whistleblower who tried to serve his country.
John Paul Mac Isaac, the computer shop owner who turned Hunter Biden's laptop over to the FBI, is on the verge of bankruptcy. According to Mac Isaac, his financial ruin comes after months of what he describes as a liberal intimidation campaign against him. He told the New York Post: "I have been punished for my actions to set an example for anyone else that might try to blow the whistle."
Miranda Devine, Fox News contributor and New York Post columnist who covered the case extensively in her book "Laptop from Hell," appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss the injustice facing this American whistleblower.
An American Patriot Facing Persecution
"This is a man who really is an American hero. He is a patriot," Devine said. "He is someone who saw wrongdoing on that laptop, and instead of keeping quiet about it, he decided that he would blow the whistle."
Mac Isaac attempted to report what he found through proper channels. He tried reaching various Republican congressmen but got no response. He finally got through to Rudy Giuliani. Since then, his life has been turned upside down.
To this day, Mac Isaac has not gotten his business back. He had to leave his home in Delaware and relocate to another state. He has been targeted by death threats and harassment by the IRS and various other agencies.
Legal Battles and Mounting Debt
Making matters worse, Mac Isaac tried to sue Twitter for defamation. He lost the case and then had to pay Twitter's legal fees as well as his own. He is now tens of thousands of dollars in debt and will probably have to declare bankruptcy.
Despite everything he has endured, Devine notes that Mac Isaac is such a good person that he says he would do it all again. His only regret is that the story the New York Post published before the election was censored and never had the effect that he had hoped it would.
A Disabled Veteran Denied Benefits
Mac Isaac is legally blind. While he can see well enough close up to do the fine work required for repairing computers, he cannot drive a car and has difficulty getting around.
He applied for benefits but wasn't receiving his unemployment benefits. He went all the way to Senator Chris Coons of Delaware seeking help, illustrating how the government has been weaponized against him at every level, along with Big Tech.
Government Retaliation
"He strongly believes that there are various agencies in government that have targeted him in retaliation for his blowing the whistle on the Biden family and their involvement in corruption, particularly in Ukraine," Devine explained.
Mac Isaac is speaking out now in the hope that the harassment will stop. He also has a book that he wants to write, which supporters are hoping to get published for him.
The Stark Contrast
The injustice is particularly glaring when contrasted with Hunter Biden's circumstances. While the whistleblower who exposed potential corruption faces bankruptcy and harassment, Hunter Biden has gotten richer. Mac Isaac did a favor to the country, uncovering corruption with possible national security implications, yet he faces death threats and financial ruin while those he exposed prosper.
As one Fox & Friends colleague suggested, Mac Isaac should consider opening a shop in a red part of the country where he could identify himself and likely receive the support he deserves from Americans who appreciate his patriotism and sacrifice.
