[00:00] This video was sent to me and I thought
[00:02] that this was extremely interesting.
[00:04] >> And when you hear Erica Kirk, you
[00:05] probably think of the Erica Kirk on the
[00:07] left there who's everywhere. She was the
[00:09] wife of Charlie Kirk who was recently
[00:10] assassinated. But we're going to be
[00:12] focused this video on this Erica Kirk.
[00:15] This Erica Kirk was first lady of
[00:17] Florida in the 1960s and 70s and she was
[00:20] married to the Florida governor whose
[00:23] name was Claude Kirk. So when Claude
[00:25] Kirk was elected governor of Florida in
[00:27] 1966, he was single. He was actually
[00:29] called the most eligible bachelor in
[00:31] Florida at the time. [music] And when he
[00:33] had his inauguration ball in January of
[00:35] 1967 after he took office, he shocked
[00:38] all of Florida when he showed up to the
[00:40] ball with a woman. And this girl was
[00:42] just a total mystery. No one knew who
[00:44] she was. No one had ever seen her with
[00:45] Claude Kirk before. And when he
[00:47] introduced her to people, he just
[00:48] referred to her as Madame X. So it
[00:50] turned out her name was Erica Matfeld.
[00:53] And she was born in Germany in 1934. And
[00:56] then she moved to Brazil. And before
[00:58] Claude Kirk, she was married to an actor
[00:59] named Carlos Dolabella and she worked as
[01:02] some sort of model or actress, although
[01:04] she doesn't really have any credits to
[01:06] her name. It's also important to note
[01:08] that when they got married, Erica Kirk
[01:10] was 33 years old when the governor
[01:12] married her. He was 41 years old. Why is
[01:15] that important? Because that is very
[01:17] similar once again to Charlie Kirk's
[01:19] story. Because C Kirk, Claude Kirk,
[01:22] Charlie Kirk, C Kirk, when he married
[01:25] Erica Kirk or Erica Fronty [music] at
[01:27] the time, she was 32 years old, almost
[01:30] 33. Huh. [clears throat]
[01:31] >> And his story is actually kind of
[01:33] suspicious. He was this really, really
[01:35] rich guy. He was actually a lawyer and
[01:38] then he made a bunch of money as a
[01:39] president of an insurance company. And
[01:42] then he abruptly quit and he established
[01:44] some sort of investment firm that had
[01:46] offices in Jacksonville, Brazil, and
[01:49] Ireland. And he spent a lot of time in
[01:51] South America.
[01:52] >> Claude Kirk, the governor of Florida, in
[01:55] May 1967 in response to lobbying from
[01:58] the Walt Disney Company. You know, this
[02:00] governor actually signed into law
[02:02] legislation which created the Rei Creek
[02:06] Improvement District and granted the
[02:08] Walt Disney Company self-governance
[02:10] status. Remember the day that everything
[02:12] happened with Charlie Kirk? There was an
[02:14] individual that was asking him the
[02:16] question at the time. Hunter Kak is the
[02:18] son of a director at the Jimmy Kimmel
[02:21] show. His father's name is Steve Kak.
[02:25] Steve Kak's father is a guy by the name
[02:27] of Elliot Kak. Elliot Kak actually
[02:30] worked alongside a guy by the name of
[02:31] Bob Hope. Bob Hope is was this super
[02:34] popular American comedian, actor,
[02:36] entrepreneur, producer, but he actually
[02:38] holds the record for hosting the Academy
[02:41] Awards ceremony 19 times. Well, Bob Hope
[02:45] is actually or was very close to, yep,
[02:48] you guessed it, [music] Governor Claude
[02:50] Kurt.
[02:52] Oh, yeah. Did he got a podcast?
