Dana Loesch's Defense of Charlie Kirk After His Death
Showing 3 Dana Loesch videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.
Dana Loesch, host of The Dana Show, became one of Charlie Kirk's most outspoken defenders in the aftermath of his assassination, both against the political left and against fellow conservatives she felt were exploiting his death. She pushed back directly on Mike Pence for declining to name radical left-wing ideology as the cause of the shooting, and left her own church after a Sunday sermon that avoided mentioning Kirk in favor of what she called woke messaging. Loesch reserved some of her sharpest criticism for Candace Owens, arguing that Owens's post-assassination conspiracy campaign, including claims about a doctored video and a planned documentary about Erika Kirk, amounted to profiting off Kirk's death rather than genuinely investigating it, and rejected the accusation that she herself was being paid by Turning Point USA to discredit Owens. Owens returned the criticism in kind, mocking Loesch's use of scripture as insincere. Loesch's relationship with Kirk predated his death by years; she had interviewed him on her show about COVID-era media propaganda well before the assassination, and resurfaced an old clip of him dismantling identity politics as one of several tributes she offered after his murder.
