Candace Owens Identifies Charlie Kirk's Driver and Exposes Conflicting Stories in Frank Turek's New Book

Candace Owens celebrates episode 400 by revealing exclusive footage that identifies Christopher Rhoades as Charlie Kirk's driver on September 10, 2025. She examines Frank Turek's recently published book, "The War on Reality," which contains major discrepancies about the car ride to Timpanogos Hospital. Federal officers escorted Charlie's young assistants to the hospital in unmarked white vehicles while security members mysteriously disappeared and later returned wearing scrubs. The timeline shows conflicting accounts between Turek, Blake Neff, and Brian Harpole about who administered medical aid and CPR during those critical moments.

Episode 400 Milestone and Blake Neff's Latest Outburst

In celebrating the 400th episode of her independent show, Candace Owens addressed Blake Neff's recent attacks on her character during an X space. Neff had called her "wretched," "nasty," "absolutely awful," and "illiterate," while claiming she dislikes "other pretty women." Owens noted the irony of Neff violating Charlie Kirk's cardinal rule against ad hominem attacks.

Owens described her primary talent as researching and creating official timelines, skills she has applied extensively to investigating the events of September 10, 2025. She expressed persistent doubts about receiving the complete truth regarding Charlie Kirk's assassination, pointing to numerous anomalies in the official narrative.

The Mystery of the Federal Escort

Exclusive footage revealed that Blake Neff, Danny Phillip, and Nate Walker were escorted to Timpanogos Hospital by federal officers in unmarked white vehicles around 1:00 p.m. local time. Owens questioned why these young assistants—recent college graduates with limited experience—received VIP treatment from federal officers rather than simply using the multiple black SUV rentals available at the scene.

"Why would federal officers be speaking to these first, second, and third assistants?" Owens asked. "Why are they not being immediately forced out of the investigation? If they want to go to the hospital, you got to find your own way there."

The footage showed two groups leaving the UVU scene in separate federal vehicles. The first car contained Mikey McCoy, Nate Walker, Blake Neff, Danny Phillip, and a federal officer. The second vehicle held security team members Blake Gibson, Blake Hariff, Christopher Rhoades, and another federal officer driving.

Identifying Charlie Kirk's Driver

Owens announced a positive identification of Charlie Kirk's driver as Christopher Rhoades (spelled R-H-O-A-D-E-S). She clarified this is not the same Christopher Rhoades who works with the current Turning Point USA security team, FRG Security. The identified Rhoades appears to be from Texas and works with Brian Harpole.

Owens noted the difficulty in identifying Rhoades was unusual for someone in private security, describing the process as "very, very strange." She appealed to anyone who knows Rhoades from Texas to help establish contact, encouraging tips to be sent to moretips@candaceowens.com.

The footage also revealed that Rhoades had mysteriously gone to the rooftop with Nate Walker just before the shot rang out, leaving his car wide open at the scene.

The Hospital Scrubs Mystery

A puzzling detail emerged regarding the security team's clothing. Blake Hariff and Blake Gibson returned to the UVU scene that evening wearing hospital scrubs, but Christopher Rhoades did not. Since all three had entered the same federal vehicle together, Owens questioned why only two changed into scrubs.

"Were the hospital scrubs actually even given to them by the hospital staff, or did they go somewhere else?" Owens wondered. "Were scrubs in general, which you can get your hands on and just purchase, handed out to them by federal officers?"

The destination of the second vehicle remains unknown. It did not arrive at Timpanogos Hospital with the first group, and the security members were not seen escorting Blake Neff and others into the emergency room. Their rental cars remained at the UVU scene, raising questions about where they went and what they were doing.

Frank Turek's Book Reveals Major Discrepancies

Owens revealed that Frank Turek published a book titled "The War on Reality" on September 8, 2026, exactly one month prior to this episode. The book contains Turek's account of September 10, 2025, which includes significant discrepancies from previously reported narratives.

In the book, Turek wrote: "All three of us in the back are trying to stop the bleeding." This contradicts Brian Harpole's multiple accounts stating that only he worked to stop Charlie's bleeding. Harpole never mentioned Turek or Rick Cutler assisting with medical aid.

Turek further claimed he "switched to CPR," yet he made no mention of a fire captain administering CPR—a detail revealed in the Independent Review. Owens emphasized these are not simple mistakes but deliberate choices in a written and edited book.

Conflicting Stories About Medical Aid

Brian Harpole's account on the Shawn Ryan Show described himself as the sole person providing medical care during the drive to the hospital. He stated he was "on my knees doing the medical" while Rick Cutler held his kit and shirt to prevent him from falling out of the open door. Harpole said "Frank's praying out loud. Rick's praying out loud," with no mention of them providing medical assistance.

Owens highlighted the impossibility of reconciling these accounts: "Brian was distracted. Well, how distracted was he? He didn't even notice you were trying to stop the bleeding first. Again, does not make sense to me."

Turek's book also described the SUV journey as having "no sirens, no emergency lights, just raw adrenaline," while claiming Justin was driving, Dan Flood was in the passenger seat with directions, Rick had Charlie's head in his lap, and Brian was hanging out the open back door.

The Empty Hospital and Medical Team

Turek wrote that they "burst into the hospital yelling for help into what felt like an empty emergency room." Owens noted she believes this detail, referencing allegations that hospital staff moved everybody out a couple of hours before the incident for unclear reasons.

According to Turek, "for an agonizing minute, no one seemed ready" before a medical team descended on Charlie. He claimed they got a pulse and rushed Charlie to an operating room. However, this conflicts with Brian Harpole's account that he cut Charlie's shirt and prepared him for the defibrillator before escorting himself out of the room.

The Surgeon's Announcement

Turek described the surgeon stepping into the hallway "about 30 minutes after our arrival" to announce Charlie's death. He wrote the surgeon delivered the news "with all the tenderness of a brick" and then "demands to talk to Erica on the phone."

This contradicts Blake Neff's account that Mikey McCoy coordinated all information and was the one who would call Erica. According to Neff, Mikey had declared that "none of you can say anything that you've heard because Erica is not going to hear about this from anyone except me."

Owens noted that according to her timeline, Mikey should not have been at the hospital yet when the surgeon made the announcement, as Victor Marx had already tweeted that Charlie was dead before Mikey's arrival around 1:10 p.m.

Questions About Mikey McCoy's Authority

Throughout the conflicting accounts, Owens repeatedly questioned why 23-year-old Mikey McCoy—who became Charlie's chief of staff in 2023—was treated as the central authority figure coordinating everything from federal escorts to hospital communications.

"Who ordained Mikey on that day?" Owens asked. "If the story is true and he was the point person for all things, the question is who permitted that? And that keeps happening. It's like the feds were listening to the team rather than the other way around."

Neff had described Mikey transforming from profoundly distressed—with a "quivering lip"—to "like a general directing a battle," grabbing people and directing who needed to go where. Owens found this portrayal of a young, inexperienced staffer suddenly commanding federal officers and coordinating a crisis response difficult to believe.

The Missing Fire Captain

Owens highlighted that Turek's published account makes no mention of a fire captain administering CPR, despite this detail appearing in the Independent Review. She appealed for anyone with information about the fire captain's identity to come forward.

"We want concrete information. Who was the fire captain? I work with him. I want somebody to say I'm married to him. He's my cousin. He was the one that did CPR that day," Owens said, explaining they have narrowed possibilities to two individuals but seek absolute confirmation.

Security Jurisdiction Claims

In his book, Turek wrote: "I embrace Dan Flood, the head of Charlie security, and tell him that this is not his fault. Dan's team only had jurisdiction over Charlie's immediate area. The local and university police were supposed to have secured the larger areas, including the rooftops."

Owens called this "a printed lie," emphasizing that the security team's jurisdiction claims have been contradicted by other evidence. Turek also claimed Dan showed him a text at the hospital confirming this arrangement, though he later said on Brandon Tatum's show that Dan showed him the text "a couple of days later."

"That seems to be like a crucial detail. When did he show you this text?" Owens asked. "Because it shouldn't have been that soon. We didn't know that it was Loa's rooftop. Nobody at the hospital should have known that the shot came from a rooftop that quickly because they were still investigating."

The Necklace Controversy

Turek has stated he retrieved Charlie's necklace from the car, but Owens revealed she received a different tip about the necklace involving events at the hospital rather than at the car. She indicated she is still gathering complete information before presenting this alternative account.

Unanswered Questions and Calls for Information

Owens outlined several outstanding questions requiring answers:

  • Where did Blake Neff and Danny Phillip go after Mikey McCoy's interview with IAK officer Fia Aisi (who has since left her position)?
  • Why did federal officers escort young, inexperienced assistants to the hospital instead of letting them use available rental vehicles?
  • Where did the second federal vehicle take Christopher Rhoades, Blake Hariff, and Blake Gibson?
  • Why did only two of the three security members return wearing hospital scrubs?
  • Who was the fire captain who administered CPR?
  • Who authorized Mikey McCoy to coordinate federal responses and hospital communications?
  • Why do Frank Turek, Brian Harpole, and Blake Neff have conflicting accounts of who provided medical aid?

"We are the people that are seeing reality for what it is, asking questions," Owens said. "And their response is just, well, we've got the power, and we know people in government. We know the officials. We've got the president on speed dial. We get escorted by feds to go to the hospital."

The Theo Von Interview

Owens promoted her recent interview on Theo Von's podcast, which had already reached over two million views in just two days. She described Von as a "wonderful friend" whom her children call "Uncle Theo" and praised his ability to provide laughter during difficult times. A clip showed Von humorously recounting how he mistook pregnant Candace for "a little thicky" working in her kitchen before realizing his mistake.

Final Thoughts on Blake Neff

Owens concluded with pointed criticism of Blake Neff, describing him as "flamboyant" and "obviously not somebody who could ever take over the Charlie Kirk Show." She suggested he is upset by this reality and has a mother who "told him that he was talented in ways that he most certainly is not."

"Blake is in a way impressive. I would describe him as impressive. He leaves an impression," Owens said, clarifying that was all she could offer as a compliment.

She encouraged continued support through merchandise purchases and reminded viewers that the "decentralized intelligent agency" operates worldwide—"probably not in Israel, to be honest"—and has provided fruitful information from sleuths around the globe, including comprehensive details about the "Latvia nerd" from sources in Latvia.
