Charlie Kirk Questions Why Russia Is Our Enemy on the Thousandth Day of Unnecessary War

Charlie Kirk examines the thousand-day milestone of the Russian-Ukrainian War, questioning America's escalating involvement and the recent decision to allow Ukraine to fire U.S.-made missiles into Russian territory. Kirk argues that a peace deal was sabotaged early in the conflict by Tony Blinken and Boris Johnson, and challenges the bipartisan Washington establishment to explain why Russia should be treated as an enemy worthy of risking nuclear war. As the Biden Administration authorizes long-range missile strikes into Russia just weeks before Trump's inauguration, Kirk warns that the ruling class would rather see the world burn than relinquish power, and credits Trump's vision for peace as potentially saving the planet from nuclear catastrophe.

A Thousand Days of Unnecessary Conflict

The Russian-Ukrainian War has reached its thousandth day, marking a thousand days of what could have been avoided. According to reports, a peace deal was on the table just five days into the conflict. Tony Blinken and Boris Johnson traveled to Istanbul and sabotaged that agreement. Had that deal gone through, Ukraine would actually control more land than it has currently ceded to the Russian Federation.

These thousand days have cost hundreds of billions of dollars and vaporized an entire generation of Ukrainians. Tens of thousands of Russians have also died—human beings who deserve recognition regardless of what the media narrative suggests. Russia may be corrupt, full of oligarchs, and not a particularly nice country, but that doesn't mean we should delight in Russian suffering or automatically accept them as our enemy.

Challenging the War Machine Narrative

Representative Don Bacon from Omaha has claimed that Donald Trump lacks moral clarity on the Russian-Ukrainian War. This raises a fundamental question: How many people in Nebraska have died because of Russians? The answer would be far fewer than those who have died from cartel violence, drug overdoses, or crimes committed by illegal immigrants in states like Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota.

The entire machinery of Washington DC remains heavily invested in continuing this war. At the outset of the Ukrainian conflict, approximately 90% of audiences favored Zelensky. That sentiment has changed dramatically, but taking a moral stance against American involvement in this war was controversial from the beginning.

The central question remains unanswered: Why is Russia our enemy? Not a rhetorical question, but a genuine request for explanation. Russia doesn't embrace free speech, Putin runs an oligarchic system, and they have corrupted elections—all true. But why does that make them an enemy worthy of risking nuclear war?

The Escalation to Nuclear Brinkmanship

Russia possesses thousands of nuclear weapons, more than the United States. A mistake in this conflict or an accidental escalation could destroy the entire planet. Yet on the thousandth day of this war, the Biden Administration authorized Ukraine to use American-made missiles to strike targets inside Russian territory.

Imagine how America would respond if cartels on the southern border were firing Russian missiles into American cities. The American left appears willing to watch the world burn rather than relinquish power, potentially handing Donald Trump a nuclear war as he prepares to take office.

Obama's ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, has even argued that America can win a nuclear war with Russia—an assertion so detached from reality it defies rational discussion.

Don Bacon and the DC Consensus

Representative Don Bacon, while important for maintaining the House majority, perfectly represents the DC war machine consensus. He has argued for removing Rules of Engagement that make it harder for Ukraine to fight, stating he personally discussed this with President Zelensky as his number one issue. Bacon also criticized what he called Donald Trump's "lack of moral Clarity" on this conflict.

But what lack of moral clarity exists in not wanting nuclear war? There are military figures in Ukraine completely committed to this war who don't care if they start a nuclear exchange, as long as it brings America in and destroys Russia—even if hundreds of millions die. Donald Trump wants the killing to end. That represents true moral clarity.

American Missiles Strike Russian Territory

Breaking news on the thousandth day confirms the worst fears: Ukraine has fired U.S.-made ATACMS missiles into Russia's Bryansk region, according to Russian state media citing the country's defense ministry. While most missiles were reportedly shot down, American-made weaponry is now being used in offensive operations into the interior of Russia.

This raises critical questions: Do we want a hot war with Russia? Are we already in one? Do we want to move closer to nuclear war? The only explanation for this timing—just weeks before Trump's inauguration—is that a bipartisan group of war supporters wants to sabotage the incoming Trump presidency so badly they would rather watch civilization be destroyed.

Vladimir Putin has already changed Russia's nuclear doctrine in response to missiles being fired into Russian territory.

An Open Challenge to War Supporters

An open invitation stands for any representative who supports this escalation to come on the Charlie Kirk Show and defend their position. Adam Kinzinger and others are welcome to explain in clear moral terms why Russia is an enemy, why we should be firing missiles into Russian territory, why we should be funding this conflict while our southern border remains wide open.

The silence is deafening because these positions cannot be defended rationally—much like college leftists who run away and resort to name-calling when challenged on their beliefs. But this isn't an abstract debate—this is about nuclear war.

Trump's True Idealism

President Trump wants resolution and peace between Russia and Ukraine. While opponents paint him as an evil maniac, Trump is actually the true idealist who believes nations can make agreements to avoid conflict. The war worshippers in Washington love this escalation, showing the same hysteria about their foreign enemies as they do about their domestic political opponents.

Ukraine is positioned to become a vassal state of Western private equity, which will pillage and plunder the country's natural minerals, grain, and abundant resources. They don't care about the Ukrainian people—they've sacrificed an entire generation.

Consider the hypothetical again: If Cuba were firing Russian-made missiles into Florida, how would America respond?

Betting on Putin's Restraint

The American foreign policy establishment is making a dangerous bet on Vladimir Putin's restraint. The entire escalation strategy hinges on the belief that Putin is the most sane actor in this equation. They whisper among themselves that Putin won't respond, that he's actually really stable, that he's not Hitler, and that he doesn't want nuclear war.

Deep down, portions of the American foreign policy establishment—including many Republican Senators representing states like North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma—act as if nuclear war is no big deal. This represents a catastrophic failure of judgment focused on unintended consequences and incredible risk.

Trump's Vision for Peace

During his campaign, President Trump articulated a clear vision that stands in stark contrast to the war machine. He stated that we have never been closer to World War III than under Joe Biden, and that a global conflict between nuclear-armed powers would mean death and destruction on a scale unmatched in human history—nuclear Armageddon.

Trump's objective is clear: an immediate total cessation of hostilities. All shooting must stop. This is the central issue—we need peace without delay.

It's very possible that by electing President Trump, the world was saved from catastrophe. Imagine if Russia faced four more years of escalation with no end in sight under a Kamala Harris administration. At least now Russia knows someone they can work with is taking office.

The Insanity of Current Policy

Consider the absurdity: America fires missiles toward Russia while calculating that Russia will respond in a measured way. We keep provoking them by sending American-made missiles at their homeland, betting they won't respond because Putin is supposedly this balanced figure—even though our propaganda simultaneously portrays him as Hitler. Russia tells its own military to hold back and not respond with nuclear weapons even though their homeland is under attack, because Donald Trump is coming.

It is not an exaggeration to say the planet might have been saved by winning the election. The alternative was unthinkable—continued escalation toward nuclear confrontation with no diplomatic off-ramp in sight.
