Charlie Kirk Witnesses Trump's Triumphant Return and Unprecedented First Day Executive Order Blitz in Washington DC

Charlie Kirk provides a firsthand account from inside the Capitol Rotunda as Donald Trump returns to the presidency and immediately signs sweeping executive orders that reshape American policy in ways no Republican president has attempted before. After four years of grassroots organizing, voter registration drives, and ballot chasing efforts, Kirk describes a fundamentally different Trump—centered, battle-ready, and supported by a prepared team including Stephen Miller, Susie Wiles, and Will Scharf. Within 24 hours, Trump reversed 78 Biden executive orders, declared a national emergency at the southern border, ended birthright citizenship for children of non-permanent residents, eliminated all federal DEI programs, withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord and World Health Organization, issued pardons for 1,500 January 6 participants, and declared the federal government recognizes only two sexes.

A New Day in America: Four Years of Grassroots Work Culminates in Victory

We have our country back. For the last four years, the conversation has been relentless: how do we take back our country? The answer came through Grassroots work—going to college campuses, starting high school chapters, chasing ballots, registering voters, taking back local Republican organizations, fighting for school boards, and ensuring pastors speak truth from their pulpits. Throughout the summer leading up to the election, one question echoed constantly: what are you doing to ensure President Trump wins?

This audience registered tens of thousands of new voters and chased hundreds of thousands of ballots. Americans had become subjects in their own nation, held captive in their beloved homeland. Basic constitutional rights like freedom of speech were being stripped away. We were strangers in our own land, held captive by an unpopular radical oligarchy determined to destroy us, silence us, and establish one-party rule—to turn America into California.

In 2020, they executed their color revolution, changing fundamental American customs and norms, tearing down statues, burning businesses, making white people kneel simply for the color of their skin. They displaced President Trump from power and sent him into exile. But they could not exile the American people. We went to work, and the validation of all that effort has arrived.

Inside the Capitol Rotunda: A Firsthand Account of Trump's Inauguration

Being inside the Capitol Rotunda was an honor beyond measure, seated just a couple rows away from the actual ceremony alongside Erika. The experience was breathtaking—seeing the entire story of America captured in art throughout the interior of the Capitol Rotunda. There stood President Donald Trump alongside Hillary Rodham Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama, and George W. Bush, taking the oath of office after all of them did whatever they possibly could to destroy him.

President Donald Trump returned triumphantly to the nation's capital. After spending time with him this past week, seeing him on camera and witnessing his speech, one word describes him: ready. This man is ready. He possesses a stoicism we have not seen in his eight years of the presidency. There is a centeredness to him, a purpose, a clarity of thought, a complete command of the room. He knows every actor and every player—their motives, needs, wants, interests, shortfalls, and advantages. He has the whole room analyzed.

In 2017, Trump was an insurgent still figuring it out as he entered office. His team was certainly not ready. But now his team is battle-ready and prepared. Sitting alongside Stephen Miller, Sergio, James Blair, and the whole White House staff heading into the administration, including Susie Wiles and Taylor, one thing is clear: this is a team you want going to battle for America. They are going to war—metaphorically—fulfilling the mandate.

Trump Goes for the Jugular: Unprecedented Executive Action in 24 Hours

Donald Trump had every reason to deliver the hyper-sanitized version of DC politics—sign a couple ceremonial executive orders, rename a post office, and call it a day. Instead, he went for the metaphorical executive order jugular. It was shocking, even by Washington DC standards. President Donald Trump signed sweeping executive orders across the board, from drill baby drill to declaring a national emergency on the southern border, covering everything from the types of showers we use to gas stoves. The executive orders are abundant, and it's Liberation Day for a reason.

You have never seen anything like it. Not only did President Trump sign these executive orders, he explained all of them in phenomenal detail. He had an open mic as Will Scharf—friend of the show and now staff secretary of the White House—provided almost a tutorial into government. President Donald Trump invited all the media in and just took open questions.

The Executive Orders That Changed Everything

President Donald Trump signed an executive order declaring birthright citizenship is limited to the children of lawful permanent residents. Do you want to talk about courage? A typical Republican president wouldn't even entertain a meeting on this topic, let alone sign an executive order on it.

The full list of actions is staggering:

  • Officially pulled America out of the Paris Climate Accord
  • Pulled America out of the World Health Organization
  • Authored and authorized a temporary freeze on all non-military, non-national security federal hiring
  • Put a temporary hiring freeze on creating new federal regulations
  • Renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and returned Denali back to Mount McKinley
  • Signed an executive order delaying the TikTok ban for 75 days to Americanize it and bring it back to the homeland, making sure it's safe and secure for our children—maybe with America owning half of it
  • Signed an executive order declaring an emergency on the southern border and designating the cartels as terrorist groups
  • Signed an executive order immediately repealing 78 existing Biden executive orders
  • Revived a ban on transgender troops in the military
  • Had General Mark Milley's portrait taken down
  • Put offshore drilling back online
  • Ordered all federal employees to return to workplace in person—no more Zoom or Skype fake work in the federal government
  • Signed an executive order eliminating all federal diversity programs, including eliminating all federal DEI jobs
  • Mandated a review of all federal grants that went to DEI or environmental justice programs
  • Ordered a review of federal contractors who have provided DEI training manuals to federal workers
  • Signed a new order removing protections from federal civil servants so they are easier to fire and replace, especially if they hinder the administration's planned agenda
  • Signed an order to review all potential political weaponization or conduct within the Department of Justice, SEC, and FTC
  • Declared that the federal government only recognizes two sexes: male and female
  • Ordered the Bureau of Prisons to cease providing any funding or support for inmate sex changes or transgender therapies

The January 6 Pardons: Going to the Highest Shakha Imaginable

The headline-grabbing action came when President Donald Trump went to the highest shakha imaginable: he issued pardons and commutations for 1,500 January 6 participants. Almost all of them received full pardons, with few receiving commutations instead. He went for it.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is only 24 hours, and there is more coming today and tomorrow.

Decline Is a Choice: The Fundamental Truth of Trump's First Day

All of this is almost overwhelming, and the number one takeaway is this: decline is a choice. President Donald Trump wants a secure America. Joe Biden wanted an open southern border. President Donald Trump wants to make sure America is secure. Joe Biden wanted inflation. Joe Biden wanted the destruction of the country. President Trump, in one day, can reverse so much of that.

We are back, everybody, because of your hard work, your prayers, your energy. We are back. Joe Biden despises the American people. He wants the illegal over the citizen, the foreigner over the American. But now there is a new operating system. We the people are ascendant. We the people are in charge of our government.

And it's only been 24 hours.
