CHARLIE KIRK’S PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM FEATURES A CROSS

[00:05] producer, but I just looked at the

[00:07] Charlie Kirk Presidential Medal of

[00:09] Freedom, and I I saw it with my own

[00:12] eyes. I looked there as Erica Kirk

[00:16] showed us, and something historic

[00:17] happened uh with this Presidential Medal

[00:20] of Freedom. For the first time in the

[00:22] history of the Presidential Medal of

[00:24] Freedom, there has been a Christian

[00:27] cross, a Christian crucifix uh emlazed

[00:31] on the back of the medal with Charlie's

[00:34] name on it

[00:35] >> to honor his march for Christ and the

[00:38] kingdom of Christ and Christendom.

[00:40] >> Uh this is a historic first. Erica Kirk

[00:43] was profoundly moved by this. I was able

[00:46] to see it myself. We'll post the video

[00:49] soon, but it's it's it's just beautiful.

[00:52] >> Well, Benny, I know Charlie had a very

[00:55] very large influence on you in your own

[00:58] faith journey.

[01:00] >> Yes, absolutely. When I first met

[01:03] Charlie, I was a degenerate loser,

[01:06] alcoholic. That describes approximately

[01:08] 94% of Washington DC's population.

[01:11] >> So, I'm not special. Uh however um

[01:16] through his excellent example, Charlie

[01:20] was able to help Christ center my life.

[01:23] And after working nearly 10 years with

[01:25] Charlie, I am now a proud, sober father

[01:29] of four because it's no fun to have a

[01:32] hangover with little kids.

[01:35] >> Indeed.

[01:36] >> Isn't that the truth? What what wisdom,

[01:39] uh Benny, that's such a great story.

[01:40] You've shared that and it does inspire

[01:42] people. And and I think what's so

[01:44] remarkable about Charlie is that

[01:45] everybody came in contact always had an

[01:48] impact from he just had a way even if it

[01:50] was 2 minutes there's that moment of

[01:52] impact. What made him so magnetic? What

[01:55] made him so ability that in a short

[01:57] period of time he could actually change

[01:59] a conversation change a life change a

[02:02] position that you had?

[02:05] I John. Yeah, thank you for that

[02:07] question because it is a profound

[02:09] question and it's a magnetism that I'm

[02:13] not sure that can truly be described.

[02:16] Anybody who worked closely with Charlie

[02:18] and I know John that you were very close

[02:20] with him saw it. But I'll give you a

[02:23] little anecdote. So when I was backstage

[02:26] with Charlie and the president of the

[02:27] United States and I was back there on

[02:30] many occasions, what you would find is

[02:32] that the president would arrive

[02:35] and Charlie and him would sit or stand

[02:40] together. They were always standing and

[02:42] he would be legitimately advising the

[02:45] president of the United States. Now,

[02:46] this is a 29year-old, a 28-year-old

[02:50] and Trump would be going back and forth

[02:52] with him on various topics of great

[02:55] interest and he would be per he this is

[02:58] the most powerful man in the world and

[03:00] Charlie would be giving him wise

[03:01] counsel. He was just wise beyond his

[03:04] years. And it is uh something that is

[03:07] was remarkable to see. And I'll I'll

[03:08] close with this. Um I I witnessed a

[03:11] miracle. The birth of my own children

[03:13] certainly is a miracle for me and my

[03:15] wife. But I was witness for the last

[03:18] decade to a miracle that we all were

[03:20] able to witness, which was Charlie

[03:22] Kirk's life and the profound effect that

[03:24] it's had on this country uh in such a

[03:26] moving ceremony today. The heavens

[03:29] opened. I know that you've both been to

[03:30] the White House many times. I've never

[03:32] seen a more beautiful day at the White

[03:33] House in my life. The heavens were truly

[03:36] open and it was a a majestic moment uh

[03:40] in honor of Charlie.

[03:42] >> Absolutely. But we've just got about 60

[03:44] seconds left. The legacy that Charlie

[03:46] leaves behind at Turning Point. Do you

[03:48] feel that this organization is going to

[03:49] explode in his presence?

[04:14] right now is finding stadiums big enough

[04:16] to do events at
