Donald Trump Jr. Declares the Republican Party Dead and the America First Party Triumphant at AmericaFest

Donald Trump Jr. delivers a defiant speech celebrating the transformation of American politics and the death of the old Republican establishment. Speaking to a massive Turning Point audience in Arizona, Trump Jr. credits grassroots activists with becoming both the media and the government, holding representatives accountable in real-time during confirmation battles and budget fights. He declares that the Republican Party no longer exists, it's now the America First Party, led by his father, with a bench of fighters ready to carry the torch for decades. Trump Jr. warns against complacency, urging continued pressure on weak Republicans and celebrating the resilience that brought his father back from countless attempts to destroy him.

A New Political Reality

Donald Trump Jr. opened his speech in Arizona with gratitude and celebration, thanking the Turning Point audience for their critical role in the recent election victory. He emphasized that the win wasn't just about votes—it was about a fundamental shift in how politics operates in America. "Not only in the last few months did you all become the media when we got actual Free Speech back with the help of Elon and X and Truth Social," Trump Jr. declared. "When we actually had a chance to level the playing field we took away the advantage that they'd been playing on us for so long."

Trump Jr. reveled in what he described as the "leftist Meltdown," noting that for the first time in generations, the left has to compete on a level playing field where their ideas have to actually make sense. He pointed to the media and political establishment's revolt against this new reality, stating they're "quitting the game because it's not just being handed to them anymore."

Becoming the Government

Trump Jr. highlighted how grassroots activists didn't just become the media—they became the government itself by holding representatives accountable in real-time. He cited the Pete Hegseth confirmation battle as a prime example, where the swamp and media attempted to derail the nomination using anonymous sources. "They were going to take this guy out with anonymous sources. It didn't matter that the actual people that were in the room that were willing to put their name behind it were saying this is nonsense," he explained. The confirmation was saved only when citizens got involved and pressured their representatives.

He also pointed to the recent congressional continuing resolution fight, where a 1,500-page bill "with more pork than a pig farm" was exposed and defeated within hours because citizens were able to read it, identify the problems, and speak out. "You were able to pick out the fraud, the bribes, the waste, and you were able to talk about it and it died like that," Trump Jr. said, emphasizing the need to maintain this vigilance.

The Necessity of Suffering

Trump Jr. made a striking argument about why the difficult four years between administrations was actually beneficial. While his father and family "went through hell"—facing lawsuits, potential imprisonment totaling 750 years, and even the death penalty—the experience revealed who was truly loyal and who could actually fight and deliver results.

"Had we just rolled over the 2016 to 2020 crowd honestly I don't know that it would have been a great presidency," he admitted. He criticized those who "thought that they knew better than the duly elected president of the United States and felt obligated to not follow his orders or the will of the people but to create their own mandates." Those people, he declared, "are all gone and they ain't coming back."

Trump Jr. noted his role in the cabinet selection process, clarifying that he didn't choose people—he made sure "the bad guys didn't get in." This approach, he argued, is "the scariest thing ever" to the Washington establishment.

The New Cabinet and Doge

Trump Jr. expressed enthusiasm for the incoming administration's team, particularly highlighting the potential impact of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy at DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency). "When Americans see that they've spent trillions of dollars for nothing on waste so that a couple Rich bureaucrats in DC and their buddies on the board of Raytheon can get rich, once they see that the Ponzi scheme is over folks, it's gone," he predicted.

He also praised other cabinet picks including Bobby Kennedy at HHS and emphasized the importance of fighting for Tulsi Gabbard at DNI, stating: "We need people that will handle and take on the intelligence communities and we have to make sure that the weak deep State puppet Republicans who still seemingly work for the CIA despite what the CIA has been trying to do to conservatives for the last two decades hold them accountable."

Letting War Fighters Fight

Trump Jr. took particular aim at military leadership, contrasting decorated generals with actual combat veterans. He mocked military leaders who have "medals like the lineup of the North Korean dictators" despite not winning wars, noting that Eisenhower, who won World War II, "has like two little things."

He recounted receiving calls from friends in SEAL teams who told him they were "spending more time doing DEI training than shooting." When he spoke about this publicly, the media denied it was happening until "12 buddies that were SEALs literally came out like no it actually is happening and it's a problem."

Trump Jr. argued for returning control to "war fighters" and "door kickers," citing his father's approach to defeating ISIS by letting soldiers on the ground make tactical decisions rather than micromanaging from Washington.

The Ukraine Example

Trump Jr. used Ukraine funding as a case study in how disconnected Washington Republicans are from their constituents. He claimed that Mitch McConnell still insists Ukraine is "the number one priority for Republicans across the country," but Trump Jr.'s own informal polling tells a different story.

"For the last 3 years since the war started I have spoken in front of over 150,000 people," he explained. At every event, he asked if Ukraine was a top three or top ten issue. "Out of 150,000 people over two and a half three years exactly four people raised their hands that it was a top 10 possibly top 10 issue for them." Of those four, one was from Ukraine, one misunderstood the question, and two worked for Raytheon or had worked there.

Despite this, Senate Republicans continued pushing $200-250 billion in Ukraine funding. "The same people, the same government that will audit you for a $600 Venmo account transfer can magically lose $250 billion," Trump Jr. said. "The Pentagon will fail seven audits, doesn't matter. That ends now."

The Republican Party is Dead

Trump Jr. made his most significant declaration when he announced the death of the Republican Party as it had existed. "Just because they have the R next to their name doesn't mean anything anymore because honestly guys the Republican party of a few years ago is gone. This is now the America First party. Donald Trump is in charge."

He emphasized that this isn't just about four more years—it's about building a sustainable movement with leaders who have "the resolve, the stamina, the balls to keep fighting and to never give up." He specifically praised JD Vance as part of this new bench, saying "now we have an America first party that can go decades."

Trump Jr. also noted that Democrats still don't understand why they lost, with some polls showing Kamala Harris leading for 2028. "Please God make this happen," he joked, expressing eagerness for another Harris candidacy.

Education Through Pain

Trump Jr. introduced the concept of "ETP—education through pain" when discussing how to handle recalcitrant Republicans. "It's a very simple concept, very simple concept. Like you know you touch a hot pot on a stove it hurts you don't do it again. Children learn this right. We need our politicians to understand that too."

He cited Senator Joni Ernst as someone who "learned this a little bit the hard way," suggesting she faced pressure over her initial reluctance regarding Pete Hegseth's confirmation. Trump Jr. called for primarying Republicans who don't fall in line: "For those people who are willing to get in line and do their job which is to serve their constituents we got to start primarying the hell out of these people."

Trump's Unprecedented Resilience

Trump Jr. walked through his father's history of defying expectations and surviving attacks: being counted out in the 2015 Republican primary, being given zero chance against Hillary Clinton, facing two impeachments, January 6th, attempts to "ostracize him to the annals of history," and numerous primary challengers. "He keeps winning because he's willing to fight, he's willing to stay in the game," Trump Jr. said.

He noted that his father "isn't even president yet and countries are already capitulating to his policies that are not yet in place," citing Canada and Mexico's responses to threatened tariffs. "Strong leadership guys, strong leadership is not just good for America it's good for the world."

The Media's Transparent Playbook

Trump Jr. mocked the media's attempts to create division, particularly their efforts to drive a wedge between his father and Elon Musk by calling it "the Elon Musk presidency." He compared this tactic to how his toddlers used to argue, saying the playbook is "so old they have nothing. The media has lost all their power because no one's watching anymore."

He emphasized that the assembled team understands this and won't fall for it, listing Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy at DOGE, Bobby Kennedy at HHS, and Tulsi Gabbard at DNI as examples of people who "get it" and "know how to make it happen."

The Turning Point Movement's Growth

Trump Jr. reflected on the extraordinary growth of Turning Point USA, recalling that when he first spoke to the group eight years ago, there were only about 300 people in the room. Looking out at the massive Arizona crowd, he expressed pride in how the movement has expanded and particularly credited Turning Point with helping achieve nearly 50% of the 18-29 vote.

"When I saw this room 8 years ago and it was like this section right here and now I'm looking out I can't even see the back of the room it's spectacular," he said. He emphasized that young people's involvement is critical because they're "the generation that's going to get stuck with this" and will "inherit these things."

The Call to Never Give Up

Trump Jr. closed with a warning against complacency and a call to maintain pressure. "Don't get lax, don't let these little wins think that it's over. It's never over. They're not going away. We just have to overwhelm them," he urged.

He emphasized that the fight extends beyond Democrats to include most Republicans in Washington, citing the day's vote where 30 House Republicans voted down a continuing resolution that had been reduced from 1,500 pages to 150 pages. "We need everyone to do what we did over the last few weeks. Call them out, call their offices, put on that pressure, make them feel the pain."

Trump Jr. concluded with gratitude for those who stayed through the difficult period after January 7th, 2021, calling their willingness to fight "everything to me" and declaring it means "the future of this country is in incredible hands." He ended with his father's signature rallying cry: "Don't ever ever ever give up. Fight fight fight fight fight."
