Fox News Interviews TPUSA Field Rep Anthony St. Pierre on Northeast Chapter Growth After Kirk's Death

Ahead of President Trump's planned White House ceremony honoring Charlie Kirk on Tuesday, following a trip to the Middle East, this Fox News segment reports that Turning Point USA has doubled its high school and college chapters since Kirk's assassination at Utah Valley University, with 800,000 students now registered in its student network. Host Jon interviews Anthony St. Pierre, a TPUSA college field representative for the Northeast, who says the region alone has seen 128 new chapters formed since September 10th and that student interest continues to grow rapidly. Anthony says new chapters are led by student leaders and built through campus recognition processes, activism events, and efforts to foster open dialogue rather than political polarization. Asked whether new members are fearful given the violent nature of Kirk's death, Anthony says students have instead become more motivated to get involved, and that some chapters have increased their event frequency.

Upcoming White House Ceremony

The segment opens by noting that President Trump plans to travel to the Middle East before returning for a White House ceremony on Tuesday honoring slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, to be held in the East Room.

Turning Point USA's Growth Since Kirk's Assassination

The host reports that Turning Point USA has doubled its high school and college chapters since Kirk's assassination at Utah Valley University the previous month, with the organization now reporting 800,000 students registered in its student network.

Northeast Regional Growth

Anthony, a TPUSA college field representative for the Northeast, says the region has seen 128 new chapters formed since September 10th, describing the growth as exponential and continuing to climb. He frames the current period as a pivotal moment for the organization to expand the conservative movement on campuses.

How New Chapters Are Built

Anthony explains that his approach centers on empowering student leaders to run and grow chapters on their own campuses, while he provides resources to help formally establish chapters, work with school administrations to gain official recognition, and organize activism events intended to bring students together for conversation.

Addressing Fear Among New Members

Asked whether new members express fear given the violent nature of Kirk's death, Anthony says he has instead observed increased motivation among students to get involved and voice their beliefs on campus, while emphasizing the importance of fostering dialogue and finding common ground rather than deepening political polarization. He notes some chapters have increased their event frequency from two or three times per month to two or three times per week.

Relationships With School Administrations

Anthony says that, even prior to Kirk's death, college administrations were not always quick to recognize new student organizations, but says taking a diplomatic approach has led to more accommodating relationships with administrators regarding event spaces and table bookings. He says he hopes to maintain positive relationships with the schools he works with and to counter what he describes as false assumptions about what Turning Point USA represents, emphasizing a commitment to civil dialogue over conflict.
