[00:04] This is what happens when the fourth
[00:05] turning meets fifth generation warfare.
[00:08] [Music]
[00:13] >> A commentator, international social
[00:15] media sensation and former Navy
[00:18] intelligence veteran. This is Human
[00:19] Events with your host Jack Pobic.
[00:22] >> Christ is King.
[00:27] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard
[00:29] today's edition of Human Events Daily.
[00:33] We're here live in Phoenix, Arizona. We
[00:36] are in the Charlie Kirk studio. Today is
[00:40] September 17th, 2025 anodominy and I
[00:44] have the honor of being joined by one of
[00:48] my heroes in the conservative movement.
[00:51] uh a legend in this movement, someone
[00:53] who paved the way for everything that is
[00:57] uh is is going on now. Uh a guy that I
[00:59] used to listen to when I was on
[01:01] deployment, a guy whose uh show I used
[01:04] to download when I was living in China.
[01:06] Glenn Beck,
[01:07] >> thank you. Such a big fan.
[01:09] >> You know, you say all those things and I
[01:11] think all I've been thinking of
[01:13] >> for the last
[01:15] week is, you know, how inadequate
[01:19] uh I am. and and we all are when you
[01:22] when you look at what Charlie has built
[01:24] and done and and most importantly how he
[01:27] lived his life. It is the outpouring is
[01:31] just a testament to him as a human being
[01:35] and as a
[01:37] uh son of God. When Glenn, you know, you
[01:39] and I were just sort of chatting in the
[01:42] break here that when when something like
[01:44] this happens, when a horrific evil like
[01:47] this happens, the first question, of
[01:49] course,
[01:51] Christians, non-Christians, believers,
[01:53] non-believers, everyone asks why.
[01:55] >> Mhm. And I think if you are a believer,
[01:58] it's you have an answer already because
[02:01] and and this is what I've been sort of
[02:03] toying with, playing with in my mind is
[02:06] that when we see these, it's a revival.
[02:09] It is an awakening. It is a spiritual
[02:11] awakening that's going on. And that it's
[02:14] God. It's God is using this revealed
[02:18] evil to also reveal himself. Do you
[02:23] think do you think God is revealing
[02:24] himself right now?
[02:25] >> Oh my gosh. Yes. You'd have to be blind
[02:27] not to see that? Um there there's two
[02:29] things that come to mind. Um
[02:32] >> one, God didn't want this. God didn't
[02:33] plan this. God didn't have anything to
[02:35] do with this. This was evil that did
[02:37] this.
[02:38] >> But I'm a recovering alcoholic and uh I
[02:43] I relate this to a few summers ago. I
[02:46] was building a house and uh and I have
[02:49] absolutely no skill at all. I am I am I
[02:53] am the first to be eaten if society goes
[02:55] down because I have no skills. Um but I
[02:58] wanted to be involved.
[02:58] >> I have to I have to get you about my
[03:00] brother is uh that's what he does for a
[03:01] living. So
[03:02] >> people like me.
[03:03] >> No no no the house stuff.
[03:04] >> Okay. So um I just wanted to help out.
[03:07] >> But if you were hungry enough.
[03:08] >> Yeah. Yeah. I just wanted to help out
[03:09] and help you know be a part of building
[03:12] the house. And uh so I was cutting wood
[03:14] and um and I measured and double
[03:17] measured and then cut and then stacked
[03:20] it all up. And I went to the guys after
[03:22] I finished a big pile of wood and I
[03:23] said, "Um, what else can I do?" And
[03:27] foreman came over and put his arm around
[03:29] me and said, "Mr. Beck, you know what?
[03:31] It's your money. So whatever you choose
[03:33] to do, we are fine with. But I just want
[03:35] you to know every cut you made, we had
[03:38] to recut. It was wrong." And I thought,
[03:41] I tried so hard. Um, as an alcoholic, I
[03:45] can't tell you in my early part of my
[03:48] life up until I was 35, how many times I
[03:50] cut everything wrong. I I I cut more
[03:54] wood and it was all wrong because I was
[03:56] doing it my way. And nothing was good.
[03:59] Nothing was good. And then I found the
[04:02] Lord and I found redemption and I got
[04:04] into the waters of baptism. And when I
[04:07] actually worked that, when I actually
[04:11] understood the redemptive power of Jesus
[04:13] Christ, all of a sudden my whole life
[04:17] changed. And the things that I had
[04:19] thought were so bad that I had done, the
[04:23] Lord took and used all of those things
[04:26] to help me connect to people that I
[04:29] couldn't have connected to before. Um,
[04:32] he he it put me in places that only the
[04:35] Lord could make it right. There's
[04:39] the Lord being a carpenter is so good
[04:41] because he'll come in and we've cut all
[04:44] this wood and it's all been wrong and
[04:47] yet he'll take that and make something
[04:49] so much better than any of us could
[04:51] imagine. And there's not a scrap.
[04:53] There's no sawdust left. There's not a
[04:55] scrap of waste.
[04:57] >> There's no waste.
[04:58] >> There's no waste with him. So he comes
[05:00] in and he sees what's happened, what
[05:02] we've done with Charlie, cuz this is
[05:05] going to continue to happen unless we
[05:07] learn our lesson. We we have to wake up.
[05:09] Yes. And this will continue to happen
[05:11] unless we learn our lesson.
[05:13] >> Um so please wake up now. But um he sees
[05:18] this mess that we've made and there's
[05:20] enough of us that are prepared to go,
[05:23] Lord, make it stop. Help us. Help us.
[05:25] Help us. And he is infusing his power,
[05:29] his glory, and he's taking all of the
[05:32] scraps that somebody last week took and
[05:36] cut all of this wood. Um, and he's
[05:39] taking all of it. And there's not going
[05:41] to be any waste in this event. And it's
[05:44] going to be glorious. You're watching
[05:47] God in action. You are watching. You are
[05:50] witnessing
[05:52] how miraculous this guy is. No matter
[05:54] what we do, he's not going to be
[05:57] thwarted. No matter what happens, he's
[05:59] going to win.
[06:00] >> And and it's it's like
[06:03] we we didn't have to put up a
[06:07] tweet or a call to action or a
[06:11] organized, you know, a form or a signup
[06:13] sheet. We all knew
[06:16] >> Yes. inherently that when a great evil
[06:19] has been inflicted upon the land,
[06:22] inflicted upon the people that the way
[06:25] to respond, the first thing you do is
[06:28] you gather together and pray. And and I
[06:32] remember this in the context of hearing
[06:33] so many people Glenn and I know you
[06:35] remember this saying don't pray, prayer
[06:38] doesn't have power. And I said,
[06:41] >> who would say that? Who would who would
[06:43] want that? And the other the other side
[06:45] Right.
[06:47] Yeah. Read read some screw tape letters
[06:48] and you'll find out exactly where that's
[06:50] coming from. That's that because it
[06:52] causes pain to evil when people pray and
[06:56] especially when people gather to pray.
[06:59] And so this is why churches exist. This
[07:01] is why consecrated bells, etc., etc.,
[07:04] etc. And and yet here in this instance,
[07:08] people just did it on their own. They
[07:11] did it on their own because there was a
[07:14] call to action that came out and anyone
[07:17] with ears to hear heard it.
[07:19] >> Yes, Charlie,
[07:23] you could have you could have killed any
[07:25] of us. You could have killed you. You
[07:26] could have killed me. Wouldn't have been
[07:28] the same.
[07:29] >> No,
[07:29] >> Charlie was Charlie was testifying. He
[07:32] went, "Is there a more glorious way to
[07:35] go out? I don't mean to say it this way,
[07:37] but you know what I mean.
[07:37] >> I know what you mean. Is there a more
[07:39] glorious way to go out than testifying
[07:42] to the truth of the Lord? Is there any I
[07:47] mean I know I know right where he went.
[07:50] I know right where he went. And that was
[07:54] that was glorious for him. Glorious.
[07:57] Horrible for us. Horrible for his family
[07:59] but glorious for him. And I think when
[08:03] you saw I mean Martin Luther King said
[08:06] if you put evil against good it's got to
[08:09] be good real honest not you know
[08:13] grassroots good real honest integrity
[08:16] good next to real evil. People will
[08:20] always flock to the good. They will
[08:22] always flock to the good
[08:23] >> because you know they I'm I'm reminded
[08:25] of um the the exorcists. They say that
[08:28] when when you have someone who has those
[08:32] you so many imperfections, that's where
[08:34] the evil plays on. Yes.
[08:35] >> The evil uses that against you and
[08:37] they'll they'll pick at it and they'll
[08:39] pick at it and you know because you're
[08:42] you're self-conscious of it because we
[08:43] all know, right? We have a
[08:45] self-conscious. That's where the word
[08:46] comes from. So our conscience is telling
[08:48] us that we have done this evil. We have
[08:51] done this wrong. And that is why it it's
[08:53] considered a spiritual purification.
[08:56] Charlie was the the purest of all of us
[08:59] and he was the he was the only one who
[09:02] could go up against such evil.
[09:05] >> I feel
[09:08] I feel bad for the people who don't have
[09:10] this. I really do. How
[09:13] >> how lonely, how dark, how desperate, how
[09:19] I mean if you have this and you know it
[09:23] there it gets you through. It just gets
[09:25] you through it.
[09:26] >> My my wife, you know, she she texted me
[09:28] last night. She said it it feels like
[09:31] we're living through the Bible.
[09:32] >> We are.
[09:34] >> She said, and and these these things I
[09:36] think we're living in the last book of
[09:38] the Bible, but that's a different story.
[09:41] >> I wasn't going to go there, but I didn't
[09:42] go there with her either. But, uh, you
[09:45] know, and and she she's she's tough.
[09:47] She's Erica's tough, but it's you see
[09:50] these things. And for those of us that
[09:52] have studied this, that feel this, that
[09:54] have lived this, it's it's it's
[09:57] something that even, you know, even I
[09:59] think so many people who aren't
[10:01] believers are saying,
[10:02] >> "Okay, you you guys know something. You
[10:05] you guys have some kind of secret.
[10:07] >> What is that secret?" And I'm and I just
[10:09] say it's, "Come on in, guys.
[10:11] >> Doors open every Sunday. Books right
[10:13] here. Find it.
[10:15] >> It's not that hard.
[10:16] >> Everywhere. Just just try. Just go. It's
[10:18] not hard. You just go."
[10:20] We are absolutely looking at um we're
[10:24] we're living in biblical times. Um and
[10:27] we are we are seeing we just saw a
[10:29] prophet.
[10:30] >> We just saw a prophet I think. I mean
[10:33] think of think of all the prophets of
[10:35] old. I mean it usually doesn't end well
[10:37] for them either.
[10:39] >> Um but
[10:39] >> John the Baptist will talk about that,
[10:42] >> right? and you look at them and um and
[10:46] and you see
[10:48] somebody that takes that God takes at a
[10:50] young age or whenever they're ready and
[10:54] he just changes them. And Charlie was
[10:55] always amazing. But around 2017, 2018,
[10:59] somewhere in this area, maybe 2020, he
[11:02] changed. He
[11:04] >> he
[11:05] >> um he became a tool in the hand of the
[11:09] Lord.
[11:10] >> You know what I mean? He was a clear
[11:12] tool in the hand of the Lord,
[11:14] >> you know, and he didn't he didn't always
[11:16] lead with faith originally and and
[11:19] >> you know, in many ways the movement
[11:21] didn't have that and and society had
[11:23] said, "Oh, be, you know, be quiet about
[11:25] you Christian conservatives, the
[11:27] religious right, you you lost
[11:29] everything, you you fools. Uh, you know,
[11:32] go go to church, but but leave it in
[11:35] there. Leave it behind the closed
[11:36] doors." And and I want to say Charlie,
[11:38] you and you as well, you know, some of
[11:40] the first to and and and certainly on
[11:42] campus, Charlie was the first one to
[11:44] say, "No, I'm I'm going to bring the
[11:45] Lord back to campus. I'm going to do and
[11:48] you look, our great universities were
[11:49] originally founded as religious
[11:51] universities." And then over time was
[11:54] removed. And so this this is the Agura,
[11:57] right? The modern Agura, the modern
[11:59] public square. What what better example
[12:03] could you have than the quad of a
[12:04] campus? And I remember talking to
[12:06] Charlie about the threats and especially
[12:08] after Butler last year and he said, "I
[12:11] have to go."
[12:11] >> Yeah.
[12:11] >> I'm not going to stop.
[12:14] >> Uh I remember 2009, this is how much
[12:19] things have changed. You want to see a
[12:20] miracle?
[12:21] >> Yeah.
[12:21] >> 2009, I'm at Fox and uh I'm called into
[12:25] Roger Al's office, who was the guy who
[12:27] was running Fox at the time, and he
[12:30] said, "You got to stop talking about
[12:33] God. Stop talking about God." Wow.
[12:35] >> And I said, "Okay,
[12:38] do you hear me?" "I hear you. I hear
[12:40] you." A month later, he calls me back
[12:42] into the office and he says, "Do you
[12:45] remember the conversation we had about
[12:46] not talking about God?" I said, "I do
[12:47] remember that, sir. I heard you." And he
[12:49] said, "Do you know how many times you've
[12:51] mentioned God in the last uh 30 days
[12:54] since that conversation?" I said,
[12:57] "You counted?" "No, I I don't." And he
[13:00] said, "I can't remember the number. It
[13:02] was like 91 91 93 times something like
[13:04] that.
[13:05] >> And I said, "It's what I believe. It's
[13:08] core. It's fundamental to what I
[13:09] believe."
[13:10] >> Right?
[13:11] >> That was so controversial at the time.
[13:14] Talking about God was so not in the
[13:17] mainstream, not stuff, you know, it now
[13:22] back then what was mainstream was the
[13:24] F-word. Everybody used the F word. Okay.
[13:27] >> Yeah. Now people are starting to use the
[13:29] J word and you're starting to hear Jesus
[13:32] everywhere and that's becoming
[13:35] mainstream and it's because it's good.
[13:38] The fruit of the tree is good and people
[13:40] are starving for something good. one of
[13:44] the
[13:46] I think it was this last Christmas when
[13:48] Charlie would hold these events right
[13:49] before Christmas, the the America Fests
[13:52] and uh we had we were we were going up
[13:55] on stage and
[13:58] I think the day before that I was to
[14:00] speak we um we watched the the Peanuts
[14:04] Christmas special
[14:06] >> and
[14:08] and I said that's it Lionus.
[14:11] >> Mhm. Mhm.
[14:11] >> is that we have to be Lionus Christians.
[14:14] And what does that mean? And and we know
[14:16] this that and and the story behind the
[14:18] story, it reminds me of what you just
[14:20] said with with Roger Als because and we
[14:22] all know this incredible scene uh where
[14:24] Lionus at a public school
[14:26] >> is and you know what's the meaning of
[14:28] Christmas? What's the meaning of
[14:29] Christmas? He just he's got the blanket.
[14:31] You know, you still hear the light
[14:32] spotlight.
[14:33] >> I hear the light shut down.
[14:34] >> He just nails it. Goes straight to the
[14:36] Gospel of Luke and just nails it. That's
[14:38] the meaning of Christmas, Charlie Brown.
[14:40] and he just testifies to the Lord in a
[14:42] public space where no one is talking
[14:44] about it and and they say that there was
[14:48] also some discussion behind the scenes
[14:50] and this was I think the 1960s uh with
[14:53] with Charles Schultz and and them saying
[14:56] hey we're not sure if we network's not
[14:57] sure if we want to go there you know
[14:59] it's it's a little churchy you know we
[15:01] don't know if we want to put this in
[15:04] and he fought for it and he said if we
[15:06] don't do it who will
[15:08] >> correct
[15:09] >> and it I believe It's still between that
[15:11] and you know the Grinch. I think it's
[15:13] the longest running Yeah.
[15:14] >> Christmas special in American history.
[15:17] And it's because of that.
[15:19] >> It is because of that. That is the
[15:21] reason it is that you know the if if uh
[15:25] back then
[15:27] it was a little churchy. Um but back
[15:30] then the c the whole country was a
[15:32] little churchy.
[15:33] >> Yeah.
[15:34] >> The country is not a little churchy now.
[15:36] I mean, maybe it's a very little churchy
[15:39] right now because the churches have
[15:41] dropped the ball. The churches are not
[15:43] the church has become a building.
[15:45] Charlie showed us that the church is
[15:47] actually people on the streets reaching
[15:50] out to each other, being kind to one
[15:52] another, doing the right thing, saying
[15:54] the tough stuff, but not being afraid of
[15:57] saying the tough stuff and saying it
[15:59] with love. That's what church is. Not a
[16:01] building, not a building you go to,
[16:04] >> you know? It's it's we've lost so much
[16:08] in the 60s. That's that's you know and
[16:10] I'd love to know you mentioned how many
[16:12] times did you say God on air? I'd also
[16:15] I'd love to put that up against how many
[16:16] complaints how many complaints did did
[16:19] Fox receive. How many complaints I think
[16:21] it's CBS. How has CBS received because
[16:24] of Lionus' speech over the years? Count
[16:26] them all up. I'd love to know.
[16:28] >> I will tell you I lost I lost uh
[16:30] stations because of talking about God.
[16:34] I believe that.
[16:36] But did you get audience complaints?
[16:39] >> Oo, good. Probably not.
[16:41] >> Did Did the audience complain?
[16:43] >> Probably not. Probably
[16:45] >> probably it's it's programmers. It's
[16:47] executives. It's the system.
[16:49] >> Very good.
[16:50] >> But but the people
[16:52] >> No.
[16:53] >> Mhm.
[16:53] >> Absolutely not. And and I think that
[16:55] that's always been there. And they were
[16:58] just waiting. They were just waiting for
[17:01] a Charlie to just come up on campus and
[17:04] say, "Yeah, we are going to do this and
[17:07] this is who we are as a people and
[17:09] there's nothing wrong with it. In fact,
[17:11] there's everything right about it and
[17:14] I'm not going to stop doing it." And and
[17:16] Charlie, you know, and and I and I I
[17:19] knew about a lot of these that he was
[17:21] getting death threats all the time.
[17:22] >> All the time.
[17:23] >> It was a a regular occurrence for him,
[17:26] for his family, and not just at the
[17:27] campus events. was all the time and
[17:30] something they lived under and
[17:33] will continue to live under for some
[17:35] time in security and his his children
[17:38] will grow up in that security bubble.
[17:41] They won't know a world without without
[17:45] that. They just they won't know a world
[17:46] without that. They won't have that
[17:48] normal, hey, I'm going to go explore the
[17:50] neighborhood childhood.
[17:51] >> That's how my kids grew up and it is
[17:55] horrible. It is horrible.
[17:59] What Charlie's kids will eventually have
[18:02] is they will be able to look back and
[18:04] say, "Look what my dad did. Look what my
[18:07] dad did. Look what my dad's death
[18:10] spurred on." I mean, it does not replace
[18:13] your father.
[18:13] >> No.
[18:14] >> But at least you can hold on to
[18:18] something. He he,
[18:22] you know, soldiers, some of them that I
[18:25] know, after we left Afghanistan the way
[18:28] we did, they were like, "What was all of
[18:29] this for? What was all of this for?"
[18:32] His children will never say that. His
[18:35] children will never ever say that. Um,
[18:38] and that's that's all because of the way
[18:41] we react. And it could have gone it
[18:44] could have gone another way. could have
[18:46] gone another way where we reacted
[18:49] horribly. But Charlie did and and you
[18:53] did. Everybody here has planted the
[18:56] seeds of principles for so long that
[19:00] everyone fell back on their principles.
[19:02] Not on their politics, not on their
[19:03] anger, not anything, but on their
[19:05] principles. What do you actually
[19:07] believe? I believe in God and I believe
[19:09] God is good and I believe my neighbor is
[19:11] good and I believe it's my
[19:13] responsibility to love my neighbor. And
[19:15] that's what we fell back on. It's It's
[19:18] amazing. It's amazing. It's a miracle.
[19:20] >> And that's what Charlie always stood
[19:22] for. And I can and I can hear him I can
[19:24] hear him in my ear, you know, when I
[19:27] talk or when I when I make a choice, you
[19:29] know, how should I respond? And I had I
[19:31] had an inflection point the other day. I
[19:33] had this leftist and we were on a show.
[19:36] I didn't know I was going to be on the
[19:37] show with him on and and he's he's
[19:40] mocking Charlie. He's mocking Erica.
[19:42] He's, you know, conservatives deserve
[19:44] this because you elected Donald Trump
[19:47] and and I and and I get that
[19:49] >> feeling welling up where I just, you
[19:51] know, you want to, you know, as a as a
[19:53] guy, as a as a as a human,
[19:55] >> as a human, you want to
[19:57] >> just reach through the screen and and
[20:00] then I hear Charlie, I said, "Jack.
[20:03] Jack." And that was it. Just Charlie's
[20:05] voice saying my name and that was
[20:08] enough. That was enough. Okay. Not like
[20:11] that. I felt that rage
[20:14] um at one point in my career and uh and
[20:18] really felt it hard and I prayed so hard
[20:20] prayed so hard and I heard these are
[20:22] enemies of mine not of yours
[20:26] >> and and that is so important. We're
[20:30] brothers and sisters.
[20:32] He's dad.
[20:34] >> Oh yeah.
[20:34] >> Dad will take care of it. I'm not here
[20:37] to police my brother and sister. I'm
[20:38] here to help my brother and sister. I'm
[20:40] here to make sure that when I go home
[20:42] and my brother or sister was out and I
[20:45] saw them and they were doing something
[20:47] and I get home and my dad looks at me
[20:48] and goes, "You left your sister there.
[20:50] You didn't do anything."
[20:51] >> Exactly.
[20:52] >> That That's where we pay the price.
[20:55] >> He'll deal with a sister or he'll deal
[20:57] with brother when we go. We can't
[20:59] abandon them. We have to love them as
[21:01] our brother and sister.
[21:03] >> Love them as our brother and sister.
[21:06] Glenn Beck, thank you so much for being
[21:07] here and and thank you again for
[21:12] the golden EIB microphone
[21:16] and it's and it's here and it I get why
[21:19] he did it. I get why he brought it.
[21:21] Thank you.
[21:22] >> I wish I would have said it to him
[21:27] before now, but
[21:31] [Music]
