[00:00] day three Supreme Court nominee judge
[00:03] Brett Kavanaugh has confirmation hearing
[00:05] is set to kick off three hours from
[00:06] right now but the first two days have
[00:09] seen constant interruptions from
[00:10] protesters our next guest went to talk
[00:13] to them all and find out why they
[00:15] opposed judge Cavanaugh and you won't
[00:17] believe what happened Turning Point USA
[00:19] founder Charlie Kirk joins us now with
[00:22] more hey char good morning so the first
[00:23] question you went you asked them why do
[00:25] you not like this judge let let's air a
[00:28] little bit of what you what you found
[00:30] what don't you like most about Cavanaugh
[00:39] rights and justice rights to also be
[00:42] rolled back at an even greater level
[00:44] than they are and I think those concerns
[00:45] are valid and people are expressing
[00:47] their true pious American rights are at
[00:49] stake this guy gets yeah I'm just here
[00:54] to hold a sign you know we I was there
[00:56] for a couple hours had some very
[00:57] interesting encounters with these far
[00:59] left wing activists many of whom were
[01:01] the ones that were disrupting the actual
[01:03] hearings they were that as a badge of
[01:04] honor and I think that they should
[01:05] actually increase and have harsher
[01:07] penalties against these disruptors I
[01:09] mean because almost as if it's like I
[01:10] get a parking ticket sure if you
[01:12] interrupt this and it's on national
[01:13] television but there was no cohesive
[01:16] message they were saying things he's
[01:17] going to rollback Human Rights they're
[01:18] talking points I mean from the signs
[01:20] that they were given that was just about
[01:22] it and you're saying it's an astroturf
[01:24] it sure felt like it I mean and there
[01:26] were some people that were genuine there
[01:28] that were you know there are typical
[01:29] left-wing activists but more than more
[01:32] than not these were these were mostly
[01:34] college students that were being told
[01:35] that this will be the worst thing that
[01:36] will ever happen if he you know dare
[01:38] gets put on the Supreme Court and there
[01:40] was no cohesive message and I kept on
[01:41] hearing well he's gonna take all of our
[01:43] rights away well name one sure I just
[01:45] met with silence
[01:45] well you did do the interview you just
[01:48] saw he was outside you were on the
[01:49] Capitol grounds and yet this happened
[01:52] watch this I'm kicking you out because
[01:59] you're here putting people on camera
[02:02] with their consent your right to free
[02:04] speech
[02:05] is good for that cop oh he was a kick
[02:09] you out of a public place yeah it was he
[02:11] was brilliant so the you know they said
[02:13] we're gonna have to kick you out I said
[02:14] well you can bring the Capitol Police
[02:15] over we can have a conversation about
[02:17] that which here's the funny thing
[02:17] they're worried about rights being taken
[02:19] away and the only thing they can think
[02:21] about was trying to take my right to
[02:23] free speech away because I was
[02:24] disagreeing with them very respectfully
[02:25] very calmly I was interrupting anyone I
[02:27] was having conversations with some of
[02:29] their protesters and they they came in
[02:31] and they said no no we have to try to
[02:32] get police say to the protesters when
[02:34] they tried to kick you out of a public
[02:35] way you kind of heard a sound bite from
[02:37] it where he said look I'm like I can't
[02:39] do anything here everyone here has a
[02:40] right to assembly and they kept on
[02:41] saying well we have a petition to be
[02:44] here you know we we have a permit to be
[02:45] here and I said you a permit is a
[02:47] permission it's not a permission to
[02:48] discriminate you know that little sound
[02:51] bite right there where she was telling
[02:52] you you had to get it get it out of
[02:54] there that she was gonna have you
[02:56] ejected it was reminiscent of some of
[02:58] those things we've seen on college
[02:59] basically where it's like this is our
[03:01] safe space you cannot invade our safe
[03:03] space the US Capitol yes exactly how
[03:05] dare you disagree with us the sort of an
[03:07] like my presence just asking questions
[03:09] from a very journalistic point of view
[03:11] triggered them so much and this is an
[03:13] interesting point the nonsense you see
[03:14] happen in college campuses is now going
[03:16] to the higher level it's very trouble I
[03:18] choose to watch it on television I don't
[03:20] know you're a very brave man to go into
[03:22] the crowd that you knew wasn't good like
[03:23] what you had to wear a smile with it and
[03:25] look the right to free speech is
[03:27] fundamental for the Republic I am
[03:28] surprised they allow the public in these
[03:29] hearings I know and they have to get
[03:31] harsher penalties or else this nonsense
[03:33] will continue I think you're probably
[03:34] right all right charlie thank you thank
[03:35] you appreciated
