In Virgin, Utah, dozens of people gathered over the weekend to honor slain conservative influencer Charlie Kirk. The tribute took place at Balcony One Restaurant where community members and speakers reflected on Kirk's life and impact.

Co-owner Sydney Ronos organized the event, saying she felt it was important for the community to come together to remember Kirk, who she called an inspiration to youth and to the country. "Not only in the state of Utah, not only in the United States, but we saw people mourning all over the world for Charlie Kirk," Ronos said.

Sheriff and Community Leaders Pay Tribute

Sheriff Nate Brooksby told attendees that Kirk's dedication to conservative values resonated with him and his family. The impact of Kirk's work became immediately evident in the wake of his death.

Prior to Charlie Kirk's assassination, Turning Point USA had about 2,100 chapters in schools and different church religious institutions. Since the assassination, Turning Point USA has received 120,000 requests for new chapters.

A Spiritual Awakening

Keynote speaker Eric Moutsos described a spiritual shift after Kirk's death, saying it prompted many to pick up their Bibles for the first time. He reflected on Kirk's approach to dialogue and disagreement.

"It's almost as if we kind of worship this gospel of niceness to where we can't have really hard conversations and say, 'Hey, I really disagree with you on that, and here's why. I love everything you're saying, but I don't like that.' Well, let's talk about it. And that's exactly what Charlie Kirk would do," Moutsos said.

A Turning Point for America

Other speakers included Dwayne Barlo, who offered a historical perspective on Kirk's impact. "Historians will look back and say Charlie Kirk's death and assassination was in fact a turning point. Can you feel it? America is turning," Barlo declared.

Attendees said the event was about hope, unity, and the belief that Kirk's message and momentum will live on despite tragedy. The memorial celebrated Kirk's faith and his unwavering commitment to conservative values, with community members determined to continue his work.
