Romanian Angels, Erika Kirk's Charity Turned Conspiracy Target
Showing 20 Romanian Angels videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.
Erika Kirk was involved with Romanian Angels, a charitable organization focused on aid work connected to Romanian orphanages, between 2011 and 2015, years before her marriage to Charlie Kirk and her later role leading Turning Point USA. Following Charlie Kirk's assassination, the charity's name resurfaced across a wide range of independent online investigators and commentators, including Candace Owens, who used Erika Kirk's earlier international travel and charitable work as the starting point for a broader set of claims about her background and family connections and rise to prominence within the conservative movement.
These investigations, spreading primarily through independent YouTube channels and social media accounts rather than established news organizations, drew heavily on unverified sourcing and speculative connections between unrelated individuals and organizations and countries. Turning Point USA and Erika Kirk did not substantively respond to the specific claims raised, a silence some of the same commentators cited as further grounds for suspicion. The controversy became one thread within a larger wave of conspiracy theorizing that followed Kirk's death, in which figures across independent media proposed a range of competing, often contradictory explanations for who was responsible and why, none of which law enforcement or Utah officials confirmed.
