[00:00] our good friends at Angel Studios. I
[00:02] love Angel Studios. Amazing new film
[00:05] This Holy Week. Phenomenal. In fact,
[00:07] >> as I think about Charlie's life and how
[00:10] much of a support he was of Angel, it's
[00:12] hard not to feel so grateful for what he
[00:15] did. He supported us in our darkest days
[00:17] and in our brightest hours as a company.
[00:20] Man, are we grateful to have gotten to
[00:24] be a little connection in the multitude
[00:26] of connections that he made throughout
[00:28] his life because it was so impactful to
[00:31] us. Thank you, Charlie. Love you. We
[00:34] miss you. We're going to continue to
[00:36] drive forward the good news.
[00:39] [Music]
[00:41] We are very fortunate to have the man
[00:45] behind the biggest story in the country
[00:48] for the last couple of uh days. That is
[00:50] Nick Shirley, independent journalist. Uh
[00:53] he's doing amazing work. Nick, welcome
[00:55] back to the Charlie Kirk show. And I
[00:57] have to tell you that you uh and I want
[01:00] our audience to know you were the last
[01:02] live guest on the Charlie Kirk show
[01:04] before the news uh happened uh on 910.
[01:07] And so, uh, sort of a tragic reminder,
[01:10] but I'm just so pleased to see how, uh,
[01:13] well you're, uh, you're doing and and it
[01:15] brings brings us all joy to see to see
[01:17] the good work, uh, that you're doing in
[01:19] Min Minneapolis and and beyond.
[01:22] >> Thank you. It's been a crazy past few
[01:24] days as we've been uncovering what could
[01:26] potentially be one of the largest fraud
[01:28] scandals in American history out here in
[01:30] Minnesota.
[01:32] >> Yeah, absolutely. And, you know, you
[01:33] call it chasing pirates. you uh you know
[01:36] I I have to ask you how did you get
[01:39] turned on to this story in in the first
[01:41] place, Nick?
[01:44] >> Well, I've known about the fraud taking
[01:46] place for a very long time. Ever since
[01:47] last June, I made my first visit to
[01:49] Minnesota kind of documenting how what's
[01:52] been happening inside of the state. And
[01:54] then a lot of the locals were telling me
[01:56] about the fraud that was taking place
[01:57] within the daycarees, the the also have
[02:00] their houses where they're running home
[02:01] healthcare businesses out of. But I
[02:04] could never I I couldn't dedicate the
[02:07] time to be able to get all the
[02:09] information with everything else I have
[02:10] to do with my YouTube channel. And so I
[02:14] was very fortunate when this man by the
[02:15] name of David reached out to me and me
[02:17] and him were able to collaborate and he
[02:19] was able to go out and get the numbers
[02:21] as he's been looking into this fraud for
[02:23] years now. So it was a joint effort and
[02:26] I was super happy to be able to amplify
[02:28] his voice and his work that he's been
[02:29] able to do.
[02:30] >> Yeah.
[02:30] >> And uh with my work as well.
[02:33] >> Yeah. Tell us more about David. Who is
[02:35] he? And uh you know, how do people
[02:37] follow him? Follow his work as well. I I
[02:40] was trying to look around. I didn't see
[02:41] much on him.
[02:44] >> He's just a local legend. Just plain and
[02:47] simple.
[02:48] >> He's a lifelong local legend in
[02:50] Minnesota. And uh we have to keep him
[02:53] pretty, you know, like can't say too
[02:55] much about him because people are even
[02:57] recognizing him out in places and I
[02:59] don't want anything to happen to David.
[03:00] So, uh, he's just a local legend that
[03:02] cares a lot about his city, wants the
[03:04] best for his city, and is sick of seeing
[03:07] American pirates
[03:09] steal money from hardworking taxpaying
[03:11] citizens here.
[03:13] >> Yeah, that's amazing. So, so Nick,
[03:17] first question, uh, second question
[03:19] rather, is what has, uh, what has it
[03:22] been like to see the attorney general of
[03:24] the United States, uh, tagging you in
[03:26] posts? The FBI is responding. Did you
[03:31] have any inkling when you were doing
[03:32] this investigation that it had this
[03:34] potential?
[03:37] >> I knew it had a lot of potential and I'm
[03:40] super happy to see it how people are
[03:42] reacting to it now. And it's also very
[03:44] sad to see how people are trying to like
[03:47] justify the fraud. It's pretty hilarious
[03:49] actually. But it's actually amazing how
[03:52] the Trump administration because this is
[03:53] a great opportunity for them to go in
[03:55] and really show people, okay, we're
[03:57] paying attention. like it
[04:01] journalist and it did more than all
[04:04] other mainstream networks in one day.
[04:07] >> What do you make of this Washington Post
[04:10] reporter? I I'm sure you saw this where
[04:12] he he suggested that you deserve to have
[04:15] someone pull a stand your ground on you
[04:17] because you show up at these businesses.
[04:21] >> Well, I never tried to go inside of any
[04:23] of the businesses. I never forced my way
[04:25] into any of the businesses. I simply
[04:27] just asked if I could enroll a child
[04:30] just like a typical operation like just
[04:32] a typical operation that a parent would
[04:34] go to one of these daycare centers. So I
[04:36] wasn't putting in force or anything. I
[04:38] was simply just asking can I put my son
[04:40] Joey into daycare
[04:43] >> and it could answer that question. Well,
[04:45] yeah,
[04:46] >> I think that's people are noticing the
[04:48] quality learing thing, but I think that
[04:50] is actually probably the best the best
[04:52] part of the montage for me is when you
[04:54] just ask, "Can I enroll a child here?"
[04:56] and the person immediately responds,
[04:58] "Why?"
[05:00] >> Yeah. Why?
[05:04] >> Yeah. So, Nick,
[05:05] >> yeah, they it's like so obvious. And the
[05:07] qual whole thing with the Quality Laring
[05:09] Center, too. It's hilarious because
[05:11] while Somali were busting in children,
[05:15] the the commissioner of uh I think CH
[05:18] some one of the the department of
[05:21] children or something. She was on a live
[05:23] stream at the same time talking about
[05:24] how they closed the daycare a week ago.
[05:28] So they had the Somali busting in
[05:30] children trying to cover up. Meanwhile,
[05:33] the lady who's in charge is saying they
[05:35] closed the daycare a week ago.
[05:36] Meanwhile, the video had been filmed
[05:38] more than a week ago. So, and I posted
[05:41] the original video of me outside the
[05:42] daycare about a week ago, and then I was
[05:45] able to produce the entire documentary
[05:47] when I was at home for Christmas.
[05:50] >> Um, Nick, you've been pretty uh loud on
[05:53] your social media about the fact that
[05:55] you think Tim Waltz uh needs to be held
[05:58] accountable for this. What in your
[06:00] reporting has led you to believe that
[06:02] the complicity here or the culpability
[06:04] goes all the way up to the top in the
[06:06] state of Minnesota?
[06:10] >> I think $9 billion is a lot of money.
[06:12] And so if the governor is knowing that
[06:17] all this money is going out, I think the
[06:20] governor should know about $9 billion
[06:22] being sent to these welfare programs and
[06:25] these other businesses fraudulently. And
[06:28] then there's nobody at the businesses.
[06:31] >> Yeah. In these neighborhoods, Nick, you
[06:34] you made some comment. I think it was on
[06:35] Fox News where you were saying that this
[06:38] whole racket is kept alive by the fact
[06:40] that these politicians need the Somalian
[06:42] votes at this point. They've become a
[06:44] huge voting block within the state of of
[06:47] Minnesota. When you're walking through
[06:49] these neighborhoods on the ground, does
[06:51] what what percentage of the population
[06:53] does it feel like is Somalian? Are these
[06:55] neighborhoods almost entirely Somalian
[06:57] now? They've kind of moved in or is it
[07:00] 50/50? What's what's it feel like?
[07:03] >> Like 95% in certain neighborhoods
[07:06] throughout Minneapolis.
[07:07] >> Wow.
[07:08] >> Especially in like areas like Cedar
[07:09] Riverside. I mean, a lot of these
[07:11] apartment complexes, I said on Fox, but
[07:14] a lot of these apartment complexes,
[07:15] white people, white people and anybody
[07:17] who's not Somalian have been pushed out
[07:19] of these apartment complexes because
[07:21] they claim that people are Islamophobic
[07:23] or racist and they're able to get the
[07:25] landlords to then kick them out because
[07:27] of those claims. And so, you have entire
[07:29] apartment complexes that are full of
[07:31] Somali people. They're not even making
[07:34] money. 81% of the population, the Somali
[07:36] population here in Minnesota, lives off
[07:38] of welfare.
[07:40] These people have four wives
[07:43] and they run these daycare companies.
[07:45] I'm doubt they're paying their wives.
[07:47] And so then those wives are able to also
[07:50] claim welfare while they're receiving
[07:51] millions of dollars from the government.
[07:52] It's a huge It's like a like the roots
[07:54] are deep in this fraud.
[07:56] >> Yeah. Um I'm going to play a clip from
[07:58] Tim Waltz here, Nick, and have you
[08:00] respond to it where he uh he's accusing
[08:03] the Trump admin of white supremacy 120.
[08:06] This is what happens when your own
[08:08] federal government wages war against
[08:09] you. This is what happens when they
[08:11] target communities for their own
[08:13] benefit. This is what happens when they
[08:15] scapegoat. And this is what say happens
[08:17] when they no longer hide the idea of
[08:19] white supremacy. When you hear the vice
[08:20] president of the United States talk
[08:22] about now white people won't have to
[08:23] apologize for being white. That's never
[08:25] happened once in my whole damn life. And
[08:28] I think everybody in this room knows
[08:29] what they're doing. So we're here today
[08:31] to say enough of this. We're here today
[08:34] to stand that Minnesota will protect
[08:35] their neighbors.
[08:39] >> Nick, what do you make of his
[08:40] >> total panic?
[08:41] >> Yeah, go ahead.
[08:43] >> Was in total panic.
[08:45] >> He's in total panic right now. He
[08:47] doesn't know what to do because he knows
[08:48] the fraud's catching up. He's trying to
[08:50] run for reelection. Meanwhile, he's
[08:51] probably trying to decide whether or not
[08:52] he should resign to try not take
[08:54] accountability for what's happening. And
[08:56] then he's going to blame the white man.
[08:59] >> Like, what's he thinking? It it really
[09:01] Tim Walls always strikes me as he's like
[09:03] a time warp from
[09:06] 2015 or 2017.
[09:08] There's just this type of person and
[09:10] he's that type of person where anything
[09:12] he doesn't like he's just going to
[09:14] instantly shut it down by pointing and
[09:17] screaming racist. And the sad thing is
[09:19] it's Minnesota so it might work. Uh,
[09:22] have you heard anything have you heard
[09:24] anything from locals in Minnesota who've
[09:27] reached out to you or sent you any
[09:28] interesting stories for follow-ups or or
[09:31] just interesting anecdotes you think
[09:33] might be good to share?
[09:35] >> Oh, I've received thousands of messages
[09:36] from people in Minnesota. Everyone's
[09:38] thankful that this fraud is being
[09:39] exposed. Nobody wants their money going
[09:41] to fraudulent
[09:44] businesses like daycarees or even have
[09:47] the having the potential that to be
[09:48] wired off to Somalia. Our money should
[09:51] stay here inside the United States,
[09:52] especially if it's tax dollars.
[09:54] >> Yep. Yep. Nick, what are you what are
[09:57] you planning on doing next? Nick, can
[09:59] you give us a a hint of what you're what
[10:01] you're currently working on? Are you
[10:03] going to stay on the fraud beat?
[10:06] >> There's a lot of fraud happening here in
[10:08] Minnesota. So, I have a part two coming
[10:10] out very soon uh of the fraud because
[10:13] there's a whole another layer of that
[10:15] that we weren't even able to put into
[10:16] this first video. And so we're working
[10:19] on that as well.
[10:21] >> Wow. I Nick, I I I hope you're staying
[10:24] safe. We have the URL down there. Uh
[10:26] blacklineguardianfund.com
[10:30] obviously uh here on this show, the
[10:33] Charlie Kirk show. We uh we take that
[10:35] very seriously and I I please, if you're
[10:38] watching this and you want to support
[10:39] Nick's work, uh help him with his
[10:42] security. Uh it's really really
[10:43] important. Blacklineguardianfund.com.
[10:47] uh please please please uh consider
[10:49] giving Nick some backing. He's got to
[10:51] stay safe out there and now his profile
[10:53] is larger than ever. So Nick, if you
[10:55] want to just mention that and has has
[10:58] your ability to do your work on the
[11:00] ground, has it changed given just how
[11:02] much your profile has increased?
[11:06] >> Yeah, it's changed exponentially. So
[11:07] with that black line guardian, it's
[11:09] actually really cool because it's just a
[11:11] essentially a nonprofit that um officer
[11:14] Tatum set up a while back and all the
[11:17] funds go directly to me. So like right
[11:18] now I have security with me and it's
[11:20] because of that and it's essential
[11:22] because people are I mean people are
[11:25] doxing my me they're doxing like members
[11:27] of my family.
[11:28] >> Yep.
[11:28] >> And so it's like actually very worrisome
[11:31] like like some Indian Indian newspaper
[11:33] did a whole entire article doxing my
[11:35] family yesterday. I was like, "What the
[11:37] heck?"
[11:38] >> Yeah.
[11:39] >> And I don't put it in my family or
[11:40] anything really like
[11:42] it's like sad. It's like, are you
[11:44] serious?
[11:45] >> Well,
[11:45] >> and I never wanted to have to have
[11:47] >> Yeah. No, as Nick, I can say as uh
[11:50] somebody who's lived through doxing in
[11:51] the recent months, it's a pretty
[11:53] terrible experience. And when the family
[11:55] gets involved, when they we start
[11:57] targeting family members, it's it's
[11:58] awful. So, uh again, please stay safe.
[12:01] Uh Nick, we can't wait for part two. I
[12:04] know you uh got to run cuz you're you're
[12:06] uh chasing pirates right now. You're on
[12:08] the road. So, uh you know, God bless
[12:10] you. Stay safe and thanks for making the
[12:12] time coming on the show.
[12:15] >> Of course. Thank you guys.
[12:16] >> Yeah. And um you know, thanks for being
[12:19] the last uh live guest uh on the show on
[12:22] 910, which is uh it's pretty creepy, but
[12:26] uh in some ways fitting seeing uh the
[12:28] great things that you're doing now. So,
[12:30] um, you know, you're you're you're the
[12:32] the baton is passed to a lot of people
[12:33] and you're one of them, Nick. So, uh,
[12:35] Godspeed, my friend.
[12:38] >> Thank you. We need carry on the legacy.
[12:40] >> Yeah, man.
[12:41] >> God bless you guys. Bye-bye.
[12:42] >> See you.
[12:44] >> Um, Nick Shirley, he's uh out literally
[12:47] right now. We were We were going to do
[12:49] it video and he he calls me and he goes,
[12:51] "Uh, hey, I can't do it because I'm out
[12:53] chasing pirates. Can I do a call in?"
[12:55] You know, we have 25 seconds here and I
[12:57] just want to throw out this point that I
[12:58] think is very important, which it's good
[13:00] for us to expose the fraud that's going
[13:02] on with these daycare and Medicaid
[13:03] things, but also we just shouldn't do
[13:07] this in the first place with people that
[13:09] we're bringing from the other side of
[13:10] the world. If they need infinite welfare
[13:12] for Medicaid, for daycare, for
[13:15] everything, they probably just shouldn't
[13:16] be here in the first place. Just a lot.
[13:19] Deport.
