[00:03] going to be discussing a couple more
[00:05] theories surrounding the Charlie Kirk
[00:07] assassination. Now, I already gave my
[00:09] initial response in a previous video. I
[00:11] will link that here if you want to watch
[00:12] it. Um, senseless, pointless, and took a
[00:15] good guy away from his wife and kids.
[00:16] That's basically my opinion on it. Now,
[00:19] as expected with any high-profile
[00:21] tragedy like this, there are no shortage
[00:24] of conspiracy theories on the internet
[00:26] right now. So today we are going to be
[00:28] discussing the controversy surrounding
[00:30] the ballistics of the 30 6. So there are
[00:34] thousands of people out there right now
[00:35] including very popular creators with
[00:37] large followings who are convinced that
[00:39] the damage sustained from this shot was
[00:41] not consistent with a 300 6. They think
[00:44] it should have been way more severe. I'm
[00:46] not here to say yes or no. I just
[00:47] thought we would test the caliber for
[00:49] ourselves and find out in real time how
[00:52] much damage a 300 6 actually does. Now,
[00:54] before we get started, one thing I want
[00:56] to say is it recently came out that the
[00:58] bullet did not have an exit hole. The
[01:01] doctor said he found it just beneath the
[01:02] skin. A 30 six to the neck with no exit
[01:06] wound. That is very unlikely. Some would
[01:09] even say impossible. Um, I'm not going
[01:11] to say anything's impossible because we
[01:13] all know bullets do weird things. But
[01:14] obviously, no one believed it. Everyone
[01:16] freaked out. And the way they released
[01:19] the story, they made it sound like the
[01:20] bullet went into his neck and then
[01:22] stopped in like 2 or 3 inches of flesh,
[01:24] which I would go ahead and probably say
[01:26] that is impossible. But since then, I
[01:28] have heard the theory that because of
[01:30] the trajectory the bullet was fired
[01:31] from, it curved downward and went into
[01:34] his back. And that would make a lot more
[01:36] sense. How many times have we shot
[01:38] fleshy targets and seen bullets take 90°
[01:41] turns and exit out the side? Especially
[01:43] rifle rounds. It is pretty common to see
[01:45] that happen. So, on my way here, I
[01:47] watched Mr. Guns & Gear's latest video.
[01:49] I highly recommend everybody go and
[01:51] watch that. He has a ton of experience
[01:52] and he broke it down very well. Gave it
[01:55] a low percentage chance, but not zero.
[01:57] And again, anyone that shoots a lot will
[02:00] tell you bullets are very unpredictable.
[02:02] So, there's also people speculating on a
[02:04] body armor ricochet, which would make
[02:06] sense if there was no exit hole because
[02:07] obviously a bullet hitting something
[02:09] like that would dramatically affect
[02:10] performance. The reason I do not believe
[02:13] this is true is because there's a ton of
[02:15] pictures of him right before the event
[02:16] started. And you can clearly see his
[02:18] chest through his t-shirt. And a lot of
[02:20] them you can even see his nipples, which
[02:21] is kind of a dead giveaway that he's not
[02:24] wearing armor and certainly isn't
[02:25] wearing rifle plates, which is what it
[02:27] would take to stop a 30 six. Another one
[02:30] that's out there, there's a lot of
[02:32] theories on this if you can't tell, um,
[02:34] is that the footage we all saw was
[02:35] actually the exit hole and he was shot
[02:37] from behind. I would say this is
[02:39] plausible, definitely possible. I can't
[02:41] say for sure, yes or no, because we
[02:43] don't have like real high-speed footage,
[02:45] but again, the doctor said there was no
[02:47] exit hole and they recovered the bullet
[02:49] just beneath his skin. So, why would
[02:51] they lie about that? I really don't
[02:53] know. So, with everything we just
[02:54] discussed, I completely understand why
[02:56] people are coming up with all these
[02:57] alternative theories. This happens every
[02:59] time there's a high-profile tragedy like
[03:01] this, and it seems like we're lied to on
[03:03] just about everything. So, it's kind of
[03:05] hard to blame people who aren't
[03:06] believing the official narrative. What I
[03:09] will say is personally when I first saw
[03:12] the horrible video of Charlie's
[03:13] assassination, the very first words out
[03:15] of my mouth were that was a 30 caliber
[03:18] rifle. The sound, the crack, the recoil
[03:22] of his body and instant incapacitation.
[03:24] It just looked like a 30 caliber impact
[03:26] to me. Obviously 306 wasn't the round
[03:29] that came to mind because this is the
[03:30] 21st century, but I definitely thought
[03:32] it was a 308 or something like that.
[03:34] That was a very gnarly bullet impact.
[03:37] And then they came out and said that the
[03:39] bullet stopped in his neck and I don't
[03:41] know what to believe anymore. So today
[03:43] we're going to do a couple different
[03:44] tests. First we're going to test the
[03:45] damage of the 300 6 and see if it's
[03:47] consistent with the wound he sustained.
[03:50] Then we're going to test the penetration
[03:52] or lack thereof and see if it's possible
[03:54] for a meat and bone target to stop a
[03:57] rifle caliber like this. Let's get
[03:59] started. Okay, so like I said, one of
[04:01] the big theories I'm seeing online is
[04:03] people are not buying the damage
[04:05] sustained to be consistent with that of
[04:07] a 300 6. And there's a couple things you
[04:09] have to understand when a bullet travels
[04:11] through a target, especially a high
[04:13] velocity rifle round like 300 6. There's
[04:16] basically two things happening
[04:18] simultaneously. First, you have the
[04:19] permanent wound cavity, which is the
[04:21] damage caused by the actual bullet
[04:23] itself. Then, you have the temporary
[04:25] wound cavity, which is caused by the
[04:27] velocity, the impact, and the energy
[04:29] transfer of the round. It's like a shock
[04:31] wave of energy traveling through the
[04:33] target that only lasts a second. It's
[04:35] really only visible in ballistic shell
[04:37] on high-speed cameras, but it basically
[04:39] just looks like a big bubble expanding
[04:41] inside the target. And this is why
[04:43] targets like watermelons for instance
[04:45] basically turn into vapor when we shoot
[04:47] them with rifles. But animals and humans
[04:50] with a lot more weight, mass, tissue,
[04:52] etc. are going to do a much better job
[04:55] at containing that energy. So internally
[04:57] there could be a massive area affected
[04:59] by the bullet while externally you only
[05:02] see a tiny little hole. Hopefully this
[05:05] kind of clarifies it for the people that
[05:06] thought the damage should have been far
[05:08] more catastrophic. That's typically not
[05:10] how it works when people get shot. So,
[05:13] today we're going to shoot a few
[05:14] different targets with the 300 6 and
[05:17] find out for ourselves how much damage
[05:19] this rifle round actually does. All
[05:21] right, guys. The first target we're
[05:22] going to shoot with the 300 6 is a 10%
[05:25] clear ballistics gel block. I'm hoping
[05:27] that this will show us both the
[05:29] permanent and temporary wound cavity so
[05:31] we can see the difference. I've also got
[05:32] some water jugs behind it and kind of
[05:35] scattered off to the side just in case
[05:36] the bullet passes all the way through or
[05:38] takes a sharp turn in the gel. This
[05:40] should also probably show us how
[05:41] unpredictable high velocity rifle rounds
[05:44] can be. Now, I was going to start with a
[05:45] watermelon just to show you how crazy
[05:47] those are, but we literally just shot
[05:49] one in our last Charlie Kirk video with
[05:50] a 308 at 142 yards, which is the exact
[05:54] distance he was shot from. So, I'll
[05:56] probably just play that video now and
[05:58] you can see how dramatic it was.
[06:04] smoked the watermelon. So again, I think
[06:07] videos like that have kind of given
[06:08] people the wrong impression, and if
[06:10] they're inexperienced, they think that's
[06:11] what bullets do in real life. And
[06:13] obviously, that's not the case. I'm
[06:14] hoping this will help prove that point
[06:16] as well. All right, guys. The rifle
[06:17] we're using is the 1903 Springfield 3006
[06:21] from BFF Firearms. We've got our 150
[06:24] grain full metal jacket. Probably the
[06:26] most common 300 6 ammo there is. The
[06:29] problem is we don't know what kind of
[06:31] ammo this guy used. They typically don't
[06:33] go with super high-tech rounds. So, this
[06:36] is a pretty good guess, but we just
[06:38] don't know for sure.
[06:41] Let's see what this one does. Going to
[06:43] try to put it right in the middle of our
[06:45] gel block.
[06:50] [laughter]
[06:55] Okay. Well, that was actually more
[06:58] dramatic than I thought it would be. Our
[06:59] ballistic shell got yeetated off the
[07:01] table. And it looks like we have a hole
[07:02] in our 5gallon water jack. So hopefully
[07:05] we captured that bullet.
[07:20] Okay, I tried to clean off the ballistic
[07:22] shell block since it fell under the
[07:23] ground after it was shot. You can
[07:24] definitely see the temporary wound
[07:26] cavity on the high-speed footage. So,
[07:28] I'll play that for you guys. And that
[07:31] is the permanent wound cavity inside the
[07:34] ballistic shell block. So, that's the
[07:36] actual damage that the bullet did inside
[07:39] the ballistic shell. And even for a
[07:41] rifle round, that is a massive wound
[07:44] cavity in a ballistic shell block. I've
[07:46] got to say, this thing outperformed what
[07:48] I thought it would do. You can see for
[07:50] the first I don't know 6 or 7 in it's
[07:52] just a very small hole where the bullet
[07:55] is penetrating and then about halfway
[07:56] through it started dumping most of its
[08:00] energy in that ballistic shell block. We
[08:02] have one bullet fragment that I see
[08:05] right there probably 2 in from the end
[08:07] of the ballistic shell and [snorts] it
[08:10] did curve down. The block is flipped you
[08:13] know compared to what it was when we
[08:15] shot it. So, the bullet curved down,
[08:17] exited out towards the bottom, and it
[08:19] did enter our 5gallon water jug. And
[08:23] there it is right there. And that is our
[08:26] 300 6 that I just pulled out of the
[08:28] 5gallon water jug. I've got to say,
[08:29] that's in surprisingly good condition
[08:32] for passing through 16 in of ballistics
[08:34] gel and going into our 5gallon water
[08:37] jug. It is flattened out a little bit,
[08:39] but other than that, it looks pretty
[08:41] much perfect. So clearly that bullet was
[08:45] going crazy inside that ballistics gel
[08:47] block. However, one thing I do want to
[08:49] say is it did not penetrate as far as I
[08:51] thought it would. It looked like it
[08:53] barely exited the gel and just made it
[08:55] into our water jug. It stopped like an
[08:57] inch into that water jug. And you can
[08:58] see on the high-speed footage, it did
[09:00] not, you know, go halfway in and then
[09:02] fall back down towards the front. It
[09:04] stopped as soon as it hit the water. So
[09:06] it wasn't going to penetrate much
[09:08] further than a 16-in ballistics gel
[09:10] block. And that is one thing people
[09:12] often confuse with rifle rounds. They
[09:14] think because they're go in a lot faster
[09:17] that they're going to penetrate further.
[09:19] But typically rifle rounds do, you know,
[09:22] penetrate less because they just go so
[09:24] crazy when they hit the target. And
[09:25] that's the temporary wound cavity we
[09:27] were talking about. So that being said,
[09:29] 30 caliber rifle rounds still usually
[09:31] penetrate quite a bit. Um, but again,
[09:34] bullets do weird stuff. And as you saw,
[09:36] that one did take a pretty sharp turn
[09:38] downward right before it entered the
[09:40] 5gallon water jack. So now, my initial
[09:42] theory when this first happened was that
[09:44] the bullet probably just zipped right
[09:45] through, left a little pinhole, and
[09:47] because the neck is so thin, it didn't
[09:49] even slow the bullet down. So most of
[09:51] its energy was not dumped into the
[09:53] target. Then they came out and said that
[09:55] he actually stopped the bullet. And I'm
[09:56] hearing that it probably curved down and
[09:58] they found it in his back. There's
[10:00] really no way to prove or debunk this
[10:03] theory. Even if we came out here and
[10:06] recreated this test exactly, which is
[10:08] obviously not possible to do, we could
[10:10] get 10 different results shooting the
[10:12] exact same caliber and the exact same
[10:13] target. That is how unpredictable rifle
[10:16] rounds are. But for the people saying
[10:18] that the damage would have been way more
[10:20] catastrophic, I've even heard people say
[10:22] it should have decapitated him and all
[10:24] this crazy nonsense, that is just not
[10:26] how bullets work in real life. And I'm
[10:28] trying to be respectful to Charlie and
[10:29] his family while still addressing some
[10:30] of these theories. And I really don't
[10:32] care one way or the other. I'm open to
[10:33] all possibilities, but in my opinion,
[10:36] the damage sustained could be consistent
[10:38] with the 300 6. Now, the exit hole
[10:41] thing, that's a different story. I'm a
[10:42] little more reluctant to believe that,
[10:44] but if we're just looking at the damage,
[10:45] the 300 6 does sound plausible. All
[10:48] right, guys. Next up, we are going to do
[10:50] something a little more interesting.
[10:51] Now, like I said in this entire series,
[10:53] I'm not using ballistic dummies just out
[10:55] of respect. But for our final test, we
[10:58] are going to use real meat and bone. So,
[11:01] I haven't done this in quite a while
[11:03] because it's honestly kind of gross. I
[11:04] don't know if you can see, but there are
[11:06] bees all over this thing. And it looks
[11:09] like they're just jacking chunks of meat
[11:11] off the surface with their mouth, which
[11:13] I've never seen that before. I didn't
[11:15] think bees would be the problem out
[11:17] here. So, hopefully I don't get stung.
[11:19] Either way, we have two pork shoulders.
[11:21] Each of them are about 4 in thick.
[11:23] Hopefully, you can see they do have
[11:24] bones.
[11:26] running right through them as well. And
[11:28] then in between the pork shoulders, I
[11:30] have a beef femur bone, which I've got
[11:33] to imagine is thicker and harder than a
[11:36] human spinal cord, which is what they're
[11:38] claiming stopped the 30 six in this
[11:40] case. Now, I do want to say that meat
[11:42] like this is different than real living
[11:44] tissue. It's not going to give us an
[11:45] identical result, but it's got to be the
[11:48] next best thing. And I've even got that
[11:49] femur bone lined up right in the middle.
[11:51] So hopefully the bullet goes straight
[11:53] through all of it and we can see if it's
[11:55] actually possible to stop a 300 6 in and
[11:58] a target like this. I don't think it is,
[12:00] but I'm hoping that we can prove me
[12:02] wrong. Let's do it. All right, same
[12:03] bullet, 150 grain 306. And again, we
[12:06] really just don't know what kind of ammo
[12:08] was used. If it was a, you know, hollow
[12:10] point or a really lightweight soft point
[12:12] or something like that, that would
[12:13] dramatically increase the chances of the
[12:15] bullet staying in the target. But since
[12:17] they're not telling us anything, there's
[12:19] really no way to know. And I would say
[12:22] each one of those pork shoulders is
[12:24] thicker than a human neck. And we have
[12:25] two of them with a massive bone in
[12:28] between them. So, let's see what it
[12:30] does. I'm gonna try to aim right towards
[12:33] that bone.
[12:46] Okay, that literally knocked leaves off
[12:49] the trees.
[12:52] That was devastating.
[13:18] Okay, so this is the first pork shoulder
[13:20] that our 30 6 hit. And it did hit kind
[13:22] of towards the top, which is good. That
[13:24] is where I was aiming. Still a direct
[13:26] hit. And you can see that it went
[13:28] straight through that bone that is in
[13:31] the middle of that pork shoulder. So, it
[13:33] went through that one, straight through
[13:34] the bone, came out the back right there.
[13:37] didn't even really start to, you know,
[13:39] do any damage. Then after it went
[13:41] through the first pork shoulder, it hit
[13:42] our femur bone and the damage it did to
[13:45] this is absolutely diabolical. It just
[13:48] blew right through it, split it in half,
[13:51] and I don't even know where the other
[13:53] half is at. I did hear bone fragments
[13:56] raining down on the table.
[14:00] Um, so maybe it just got completely
[14:01] exploded, but you can clearly see that
[14:04] that massive bone was not enough to stop
[14:08] the 300 6. It just blew right through
[14:10] it. And then, surprisingly, at least to
[14:12] me, the second pork shoulder that was
[14:14] behind our femur bone is where the vast
[14:17] majority of that damage was done. Slap
[14:20] the crap out of that bee. We do have
[14:22] some bullet fragments on this one. I
[14:24] don't know if you can see that little
[14:26] piece of lead right there, but I mean,
[14:29] this one just absolutely got
[14:30] obliterated. And it did go through the
[14:32] bone in this one as well. So, it went
[14:34] through all three bones, both pork
[14:36] shoulders and the femur that was in the
[14:38] middle, and still blasted right through
[14:41] this one. And then behind our meat and
[14:43] bone, we had these two onegon water
[14:45] jugs. And this is the first one. It just
[14:47] blew through that one, no problem at
[14:48] all, which tells me that that bullet
[14:50] still had quite a bit of energy left on
[14:52] it. And then the second water jug right
[14:54] here has an entrance hole there. And I
[14:59] don't see an exit hole. And we actually
[15:01] have a good bit of that bullet inside
[15:05] our second water jug. And those are the
[15:06] fragments that I found in our second
[15:08] water jug. That actually just looks like
[15:10] copper jacket mostly. So I assume the
[15:13] lead bullet either broke apart or it
[15:15] could have curved and exited out one of
[15:17] the sides. Again, that is typically what
[15:20] rifle rounds do when they hit fleshy
[15:22] targets. So, even with all of that, we
[15:24] were still not able to fully stop this
[15:26] bullet. And hopefully this kind of shows
[15:27] you why people were so skeptical when
[15:30] they said there was no exit wound with a
[15:32] 30 six. That is very hard to believe.
[15:35] But I'll reiterate that doesn't mean
[15:37] it's impossible. Bullets do weird
[15:39] things. And if you believe the official
[15:42] story, he was firing from a rooftop at a
[15:45] downward trajectory, which means the
[15:47] bullet would already be kind of angled
[15:49] going in and could have curved down and
[15:51] went into his back, which apparently is
[15:52] what they're saying. So, was it another
[15:55] magic bullet? I really don't know. But I
[15:57] don't blame anyone who doesn't believe
[16:00] the official story because this is a
[16:02] very hard caliber to stop, especially on
[16:04] a target that thin. All right, guys. I

[16:30] at all. So, I don't blame anyone for not
[16:33] believing the official story. I'll even
[16:35] admit some of this stuff is kind of hard
[16:37] to believe at this point. So, I hope you
