[00:00] All right, welcome to the Charlie Kirk
[00:01] Show. I'm Andrew Kovet, executive
[00:03] producer of this show. And I am excited
[00:06] this morning to be joined by an Arizona,
[00:09] I guess. I don't know what a native, a
[00:12] daughter of Arizona, celebrity of
[00:14] Arizona. I don't know what what what do
[00:16] you want to res?
[00:17] >> Yeah, there you go. Resident.
[00:18] >> There's a lot of people that are just
[00:19] residents as many people are from
[00:21] somewhere else than I am, but I've been
[00:22] here for over 20 years.
[00:23] >> Well, there you go. Danica Patrick is in
[00:25] the house. So, if if you didn't
[00:27] recognize her name, and I have our good
[00:29] friend Tyler Boyer, COO of Turning Point
[00:31] Action in here as well,
[00:33] >> who is a native, but we count anyone
[00:34] that's been in Arizona for more than 10
[00:36] years as a native. So,
[00:37] >> I love this qualification,
[00:38] >> which I do not count. So, now golf, so I
[00:41] really am a local.
[00:43] >> That is true. There's a lot of golf
[00:44] courses in this town. There's a lot of
[00:46] golf courses, which you'd think, you
[00:48] know, the water, I don't know, the heat,
[00:50] the grass, but it works. I don't know
[00:52] how you guys pull it off in Arizona. Um,
[00:54] I before we get into it with Danica
[00:56] here, which thank you so much again for
[00:58] just making it into the studio. It's
[01:00] always great to have people in the
[01:02] studio. I I just we have to we have to
[01:05] bring it up. It has to be the first
[01:06] thing. Uh, go ahead and throw up 336.
[01:09] Uh, and the rumors are true. Jack Pobic
[01:12] has manifested this via a joke. And on
[01:15] this show that Turning Point USA will be
[01:18] hosting the All-American Halftime Show,
[01:21] a celebration of faith, family, and
[01:23] freedom. And that of course will be on
[01:25] 28 2026. If you want more details as
[01:29] they come, please go to
[01:31] americanshow.com.
[01:34] americanhalimeshow.com.
[01:37] So, I know there's a lot of news in the
[01:39] world. There's the Gaza Israel peace
[01:42] deal. There's Antifa. There's so many
[01:44] things we got to get to. There's I was
[01:47] it Luke Bryan? I always get the Brian.
[01:49] Zack Bryan. There's Zack Bryan. We're
[01:51] going to get to all of this, by the way.
[01:52] But let I just want to throw it to you.
[01:54] You You have uh existed at the nexus of
[01:57] pop culture, sports. Uh so, you know,
[02:00] we've got Bad Bunny who's going to be
[02:02] performing at the halftime show, the you
[02:05] know, the official one. I think we're
[02:07] going to get a lot of eyeballs on this
[02:09] event because I think because of that
[02:10] selection of somebody who doesn't speak
[02:12] English and sings only in Spanish and
[02:14] seems to have a lot of disregard and
[02:16] contempt for our country, it's going to
[02:17] turn a lot of people off. What say you,
[02:19] Danica Patrick? Well, I was I talked
[02:22] about this last week u with Steve Bannon
[02:24] on his show War Room and uh I had posted
[02:27] that I think that it's wrong that
[02:29] someone that doesn't speak English is
[02:31] performing at the halftime show for the
[02:33] Super Bowl for uh I thought it was 100
[02:36] million. I looked it up. It was like 127
[02:38] million people to some degree watch that
[02:40] watch the Super Bowl. And you know, I
[02:43] feel like it's such a uniting event.
[02:45] It's such a sports in general I think is
[02:48] uniting. Of course, you've got your team
[02:50] and someone else does, but generally
[02:52] it's like fun. You come together and
[02:54] especially the halftime show, everyone's
[02:55] excited to watch it. What's it going to
[02:57] be? Um, you know, is there any
[02:59] surprises? And, um, I think the only
[03:01] surprise that we're going to get is if
[03:03] not that if Americans learn how to speak
[03:05] Spanish in four months like he asked
[03:07] them to do on Saturday Night Live, but
[03:09] if he speaks English, that would be the
[03:11] surprise of the show. Um, I just don't
[03:14] think that I just don't think it
[03:15] represents our country and and and our
[03:18] sort of crown jewel event of the year.
[03:20] It's the highest rated show of the year
[03:22] on anything.
[03:24] >> And um, you know, and obviously he sort
[03:27] of had a problem with ICE being at his
[03:31] shows and not wanting to have his
[03:33] perform. So, he decided he didn't want
[03:35] to perform in the United States. And you
[03:37] know, I just think that's all just kind
[03:38] of plays into such a weird narrative
[03:41] about why someone like that was chosen.
[03:44] Um, the best the best excuse is, and I
[03:48] use the excuse, is that I don't know, is
[03:50] the NFL trying to create more reach in
[03:53] different demographics and areas. And
[03:55] >> I think that had to have been the the
[03:56] calculus because, you know, Bad Bunny, I
[03:59] learned this from Daisy. I had no idea.
[04:00] But Bad Bunny is he he's apparently been
[04:04] the top stream or whatever for for Gen
[04:08] Z.
[04:08] >> Oh yeah,
[04:09] >> for Gen Z. So and and yeah, and I mean
[04:11] his biggest audience is going to be in
[04:13] Latin America.
[04:14] >> Even I think he's Puerto Rican if I'm
[04:16] not mistaken. So a lot of people I mean
[04:19] I get the calculus, but the fact that
[04:21] you know you just had this election in
[04:23] 2024. You had the the whole country kind
[04:26] of seems you know was it was not a close
[04:28] election. Let's be let's be fair and at
[04:31] least by electoral vote standpoint but
[04:33] also too big too big to rig. So so you
[04:37] know the whole country's moving this one
[04:39] direction. Trump remains extremely
[04:40] popular on his deportations all stuff.
[04:42] So that seems to be the big crux with
[04:43] him. So it just feels like a very
[04:46] tonedeaf thing to do for Americans. I
[04:49] get the idea of expanding out but this
[04:51] is our show.
[04:52] >> Yeah. I mean, obviously then there's too
[04:54] been such a sort of conversation around
[04:57] the choices for the Super Bowl halftime
[04:59] show and Jay-Z being involved and there
[05:02] being sort of a satanic angle to them.
[05:05] And um I I think it was Jaden Smith
[05:08] maybe was another one that just come up
[05:10] like a pop star with like red is a very
[05:13] common color that is used to like sort
[05:15] of sort of get this like message across
[05:19] or maybe this sort of underlying message
[05:21] of satanic rituals or something. Look, I
[05:25] I don't know. All these things are
[05:26] speculation, but it sure is an
[05:28] interesting choice. And he has sure
[05:30] definitely had some very odd music
[05:32] videos recorded where he does look like
[05:34] a demon in them and is doing weird
[05:37] things or trans. I mean, very commonly
[05:39] wearing like dresses and heels and
[05:41] pearls and all kinds of things. And
[05:43] >> I mean, I just uh you know,
[05:45] >> fake prosthetics across here's some
[05:47] imagery.
[05:49] >> Fake prosthetics. Yeah.
[05:50] >> Yeah. Like the satanic imagery. It's
[05:51] just everyone is always on guard every
[05:54] year I think for the Super Bowl for the
[05:56] the the
[05:58] >> Yes. you look at the at the event,
[06:00] you're going through everything and
[06:02] they're always expecting to see what are
[06:04] they going to try to force upon America
[06:06] every year
[06:07] >> and when it's when it's I mean we always
[06:10] used to joke about this with Charlie cuz
[06:12] this was like
[06:13] >> he would always tweet
[06:14] >> this is an epicenter of like culture
[06:16] every year where everybody's paying
[06:18] attention and going okay are they trying
[06:19] to force on you know more trans stuff
[06:23] more uh and and so
[06:25] >> sexual anarchy
[06:26] >> so the reason why I like what we're
[06:28] doing here is because now the ball's
[06:30] back in the court of the planners
[06:33] >> uh of the main event, which is what we
[06:35] have to refer to it as the main event.
[06:37] >> We now have a cudgel to use against them
[06:39] if they're going to continue to heap
[06:41] contempt. Yeah.
[06:42] >> On the, you know, the people that pay
[06:44] their bills and that go to their games
[06:46] and and buy the tickets.
[06:48] >> So now they're going to have to change
[06:49] things or
[06:51] >> we'll keep doing it.
[06:52] >> Go more go more intense, right, on their
[06:54] side. they're more debaucherous, more
[06:56] which that could actually be an outcome
[06:57] that comes out of this is that they
[06:58] actually respond and double
[07:00] >> down force their hand essentially,
[07:02] right? This many people are want going
[07:04] to watch this other show um as opposed
[07:07] to theirs. And so I mean we saw this
[07:09] with the Jimmy Kimmel stuff. I feel like
[07:10] you know some of the things I posted
[07:12] about that opinionated I'm like look
[07:14] it's all about ratings. It's about money
[07:16] and if he his ratings had gone down he
[07:18] wasn't as funny. He was just making
[07:20] cutting personal sort of digs at people
[07:22] based on his own beliefs. it wasn't you
[07:24] can take the stuff that's going on in
[07:26] the world whether it's politics or
[07:27] whatnot and make it funny and be super
[07:30] sarcastic but when you sort of deliver
[07:32] it the way he does and I'm like look at
[07:34] the end of the day ratings are what
[07:35] matters and as I said like I was like
[07:37] the clock is ticking again Jimmy and
[07:39] from what I read the other day it looks
[07:41] like it it's not going in the right
[07:42] direction for him and then he just did
[07:44] an interview yesterday or the day before
[07:46] where he basically said he didn't really
[07:48] know there was a problem until he was
[07:50] taken off the air it's like wow these
[07:51] people don't even they really don't care
[07:53] do they they really don't care. And um I
[07:56] think that uh it'll be very interesting
[07:58] to see how the American people or the
[08:01] public or the world even decides to vote
[08:05] with their viewership on whether or not
[08:07] they watch the halftime show or whether
[08:09] or not they watch your show or whether
[08:11] or not they watch another one cuz maybe
[08:12] there'll be another one too.
[08:14] >> Yeah. It's it's and listen everybody's
[08:16] free to do it. I mean this is setting a
[08:17] precedent which again I don't we don't
[08:19] like. We want everybody to be united. We
[08:21] want us all to have one cultural touch
[08:23] point. I think it's important that we
[08:24] have one gathering point. And listen,
[08:26] we're we're not saying don't watch the
[08:27] game. We're not saying anything like
[08:28] that. We're saying there is a line and
[08:31] when you hire a guy to do the job that
[08:33] hates our country seemingly and hates
[08:35] the government and hates the rule of law
[08:37] that the American people just voted for
[08:39] and just like yeah, all this weird
[08:41] satanic stuff. It's like listen there
[08:43] there might be some consequences that
[08:45] you don't like so much and there needs
[08:47] to be consequences because there have
[08:48] been halftime shows that that went too
[08:50] far. I think they they reeled it back
[08:52] in, you know, and there's been some some
[08:54] better ones, but this
[08:56] this this this was going to happen
[08:58] whether we did it or not. By the way, to
[09:00] your point, the people were outraged at
[09:02] Bad
[09:03] >> Bunny. Sometimes you don't try and fix
[09:04] what's there. You start something new
[09:06] completely and that's the easiest way
[09:08] and that's what you're that's what
[09:09] you're doing.
[09:10] >> I don't disagree. I'll say this point
[09:11] too, Andrew, is we have uh we have a
[09:15] huge opportunity in front of us now with
[09:16] this uh with this event to execute it in
[09:20] a way that might change how America
[09:24] views these big events in the future
[09:26] because this has never really been
[09:27] attempted before. Yeah.
[09:28] >> And I know and again this isn't unique.
[09:30] There's many different groups that have
[09:31] talked about this and so we want to give
[09:33] a nod. There might be multiple different
[09:35] things, but
[09:37] >> America using the ability to press the
[09:39] off button and to use their wallet
[09:42] actually to make decisions is really
[09:44] critical. It's not just zombie their way
[09:46] through the things that are put in front
[09:47] of them. So, um I think what's going to
[09:51] happen here is I think the turning point
[09:54] one I mean everybody's been asking us to
[09:55] do this. I have not seen anything in our
[09:58] inbox at freedom charliekirk.com that
[10:00] has been so unanimous. Everybody's like
[10:02] I want to go. I want to go and I can
[10:04] just tell you because uh we have a
[10:06] website there.
[10:07] >> Uh let me make sure I got it's uh I want
[10:10] to make sure I get the exact right
[10:12] website here because I said it before
[10:15] but I'm not okay. Okay, it is
[10:17] americanhalimeshow.com.
[10:18] americanhalftimeshow.com.
[10:21] I can already tell you that the response
[10:22] has been pretty dramatic.
[10:25] >> I'm super curious to see what the
[10:26] viewership will be like that on this. I
[10:28] mean, well, look what happened with the
[10:29] service, obviously, and those being
[10:31] Christian bands and the the moment of
[10:34] course that sort of led to what when it
[10:37] transitioned into all of the amazing
[10:39] speakers coming up like with the it was
[10:42] like almost like a hymn and everybody I
[10:44] mean I was balling my eyes out there
[10:46] while that was all going on. The music
[10:47] is really powerful and there's something
[10:49] to do with like the coming together and
[10:51] the community nature of it when
[10:53] everybody's sort of in the same energy
[10:54] space. So, um, I I'm I'm very
[10:57] interested. And there's there's so many
[10:59] great Christian bands these days that
[11:00] are are really fun.
[11:02] >> My sister plays a lot of them for her
[11:03] kids, so I listen to a lot of them.
[11:05] >> I think it's going to be a mix of, if
[11:07] you will, like crossover bands, uh,
[11:10] Christian,
[11:11] >> you guys got creeped. You guys got
[11:13] >> We're not prepared. We're not prepared
[11:14] to make any announcements yet, but uh,
[11:17] >> it could be a lot. It could be a lot of
[11:18] different things.
[11:18] >> And we're gonna have just, you know,
[11:20] just mainstream. the Red Clay Strays
[11:22] into the mix because the Red Clay
[11:23] Strays, have you ever heard of them?
[11:25] They're kind of like I don't know if
[11:26] they'd be considered rock, but they're a
[11:28] fantastic band. Check them out. But they
[11:29] they sing a lot of like Christian driven
[11:33] music and they say, "Why do we s we sing
[11:35] about our life and we're not here to
[11:37] sing Christian music, but God is in our
[11:39] life and and so anyway, there's some
[11:41] great songs there." So, I'm I'm going to
[11:43] throw them in the hat for you guys. He
[11:45] said he had um reached out to he sent
[11:47] the lead singer had sent him an email to
[11:50] Turning Point and just said, "Look, I
[11:51] don't know if anyone's going to get it.
[11:52] I just want you guys to have the music
[11:54] and know it's there for you." So anyway,
[11:57] there's a lot of incredible bands that
[11:58] I'm sure would put on a fantastic
[12:00] performance.
[12:01] >> Well, this has spurred a lot of
[12:02] conversation too around just again the
[12:04] broader sports community. Uh, we've been
[12:07] talking for many years about what would
[12:08] it be like look like to have a Pro
[12:10] America bowl game, like a real bowl game
[12:12] that had all the stuff for on the
[12:15] college side.
[12:16] >> Oh, you mean
[12:17] >> leading in? So, I we've had some
[12:19] conversations. So, we're hope hoping
[12:21] this all spurs
[12:22] >> and this is all a testament to Charlie's
[12:23] legacy. I mean, nothing like this would
[12:25] have been possible, you know, without
[12:27] just this outpouring and of of just
[12:30] energy that's just flushed with energy
[12:32] and people want to get involved. want to
[12:34] see the culture changed
[12:36] >> and I think this is a great way to do it
[12:37] is just flex our muscles in this
