Brett Cooper Confronts the Left's Resurgence While Conservatives Fracture Into Echo Chambers
Brett Cooper addresses the uncomfortable reality facing conservatives: while the right splinters into infighting and X becomes an echo chamber, the left has unified with shocking energy ahead of the midterms. From massive No Kings protests in Boston to Handmaid's Tale cosplayers in Nashville, Cooper documents how Democrats have transformed from the fractured post-Kamala coalition into a mobilized force. Yet she makes clear that criticizing her own side doesn't mean joining theirs, a side that celebrates violence, rejects biology, and wants to sterilize children. Cooper finds herself in an awkward middle ground, raised with libertarian values but watching both parties fail to deliver real change. She challenges Republican leaders directly: give voters something to fight for, not just against, because apathy isn't an option when the alternative is this extreme.
The Echo Chamber Problem
After covering the Trump administration extensively, Brett Cooper noticed a pattern in the comments—particularly on TikTok—suggesting she was moving left. She wants to set the record straight: criticizing her own side doesn't mean she's joining the opposition. The alternative, as she sees it, is violent, deranged insanity that rejects biology, wants to sterilize children, and celebrates when people like her get shot.
Cooper points to an important reality: Trump currently has his lowest approval rating of his second term, but that doesn't mean everyone who voted for him suddenly loves Democrats. She cites Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger as evidence—despite campaigning as a moderate who would stand against both the left and right, Spanberger now holds the lowest approval rating 80 days into her term of any Virginia governor in the 21st century.
The situation, Cooper says, is best described by the Dwight and Angela meme from The Office—where Dwight stands there and Angela comes up behind him and scares him. That's her relationship with Democrats: they genuinely scare her, and criticizing Republicans doesn't change that.
X Has Become a Right-Wing Echo Chamber
A viral tweet from Nate Silver highlighted how the platform X has become dominated by right-wing voices since Elon Musk's purchase. Silver's graphic showed the accounts with the most engagement in 2025, featuring massive red bubbles for Elon Musk, Eric, Gunther Eagleman, Libs of TikTok, Cat Turd, Laura Loomer, Benny Johnson, and others, while Democratic accounts appeared as much smaller blue bubbles.
While there's disagreement in the comments about whether Silver's numbers are entirely accurate—some arguing that Obama, AOC, and Bernie Sanders should have larger representations—the overarching point stands: X has become right-wing dominated. Cooper didn't need a graphic to tell her this; she experiences it daily. She used to log onto Twitter and see a mix of progressives and conservatives battling it out. Now it's the same people every day arguing over the same topics—one day it's Tucker, then Megyn Kelly, then Candace, then Aaron.
To see what the left was doing, Cooper downloaded Bluesky a few months ago. What she found was similarly boring, repetitive, and irrelevant, with barely any engagement. It's a massive echo chamber where the biggest drama involves accidentally offending disabled people. One viral interaction showed someone saying "audio books count as reading," another responding "yes, but read also," and the original poster replying: "Hey friendo, some people can't read. I don't think you meant to be ableist, but that's how your statement comes off." Another exchange featured someone asking if fascists exercised today, with the response claiming that regimented exercise is fundamentally fascist itself.
The Left Has Unified While the Right Fractures
Cooper's main point is that this echo chamber has inoculated the right, creating a net negative heading into the midterms. Everyone's focus is on each other instead of the group they're supposed to be united against—a group that actively hates them and spends all day talking about how much they hate them. More importantly, many people on the right have no idea what the left is actually up to, and that should scare them because a lot has changed in the last 12 months.
Ten months ago, Cooper was making fun of the 2025 No Kings protests, calling them wimpy and geriatric—which they were. But within those 10 months, they got their act together. The most recent No Kings protest six days prior in Boston featured massive, energized crowds chanting in unison. The crowds looked similar in New York City, Washington DC, and San Francisco.
But it wasn't just the usual liberal cities. Boise, Idaho had huge demonstrations. Tennessee had Handmaid's Tale cosplayers marching through Nashville. Cooper notes the consistency—when the weather gets warmer, left-wing women pull out their red capes, get on Google, look for a protest to attend, and can't wait to pull out their DIY signs to cosplay The Handmaid's Tale. It doesn't matter what the protest is about or where it is—there will be a not very attractive woman in a Handmaid's Tale outfit.
The point is that these people are unified. The left is energized and ramped up for the midterms, even if they don't really know what they're supporting or fighting against. When a young protester was asked why she was there, she responded: "To protest and get a make a better democracy. We get to make a statement and they just silence us and they don't get to do that." Cooper was about to criticize the parents for dragging their 13-year-old daughter to a protest without telling her what they're protesting, but realized the parents don't know themselves. It's chaos 24/7. All they know is they hate Republicans and the orange man, and they're willing to come together over hatred of whatever the current thing is.
The Nightmare Blunt Rotation
Love it or hate it, Cooper argues, it's a winning strategy because they're coming together in numbers while the right becomes more fractured by the day. And they're not just going to show up in November—they're going to show up looking like something out of a low-budget Marvel villain casting call.
One protester in Atlanta drew particular attention—a woman in a wheelchair wearing a Trump mask with fake breasts exposed, being walked on a leash. Someone commented: "I'm watching this no kings protest in Atlanta against President Trump and his administration right now, and I genuinely can't tell if this is a protest or the villain casting call for a low-budget Marvel movie. Are these Democrats, liberals, devil worshippers? Is this real life?"
Yes, it is real life. The woman behind this act, called Doge Walker, is a performance artist based in Atlanta named Jessica who has been trying to get this protest art up and running since last year. In 2015, she started a GoFundMe page to take it on the road, writing: "My name is Jessica and I am raising funds to support both myself and the nationwide presentation of Doge Walker, a live performative protest rooted in disabled, queer, and marginalized identities. Doge Walker is punk rock protest art. It is about reclaiming agency about disabled and marginalized people, taking back public space, rewriting narratives, and creating pathways towards justice, connection, and healing."
Cooper still doesn't understand how any of those things connect with the performance. The artist went viral after the most recent Atlanta No Kings protest, and even though she said her skin was thicker than brick, she took issue with people calling her a "welfare warrior" online. When defending herself, she revealed: "I received very little government assistance. In fact, I received Medicaid Medicare which helps for my medical costs which you know actually last time I totaled them up were about 330 to 360,000 dollars a year if you include my nursing care, my wheelchair."
Cooper was shocked—at every point she expected the artist to say she received minimal assistance, maybe $5,000 a year, but instead she claimed her bills are only $330,000 annually. Someone commented that the artist is entitled, subsidized, and performative—which Cooper believes sums up the entire left side of the political aisle. The best part is that the artist claims people were attacking her because she's disabled, in a wheelchair, because of how she looks. Cooper disagrees: people are genuinely just concerned and confused about how rolling around masked up with exposed breasts is doing anything to save democracy.
Don't Be Fooled by Fake Moderates
Cooper shows all this because it's still what conservatives are up against—people who cheered when Charlie Kirk was shot, who want to sterilize minors. She warns against being fooled by fake moderate candidates like Abigail Spanberger, or Democrats who suddenly think tax cuts are a great idea when they did everything in their power less than a year ago to stop DOGE and reverse everything Elon Musk accomplished. Tax cuts are now the hot new idea from Democrats, but Cooper doesn't trust them in the slightest.
Don't let Gavin Newsom and his slicked-back gelled hair make you forget what happened to California under his watch. Cooper means all of this, but she admits she'd be lying if she said it really pumped her up and got her excited. She looks at all the insanity, at the people Democrats are putting into office, and hates it. But then she thinks: what is the alternative?
Full Circle to Independent Values
Like it or not, Cooper is still on the political right. Her values haven't changed. Her hope for the future of the country hasn't changed compared to November 2024 or two years ago. She just feels a lot less confident in conservatives—or honestly anyone—being able to pull off that vision or represent her values. She thinks many people are stuck in this exact position.
Interestingly, this is actually where she started when she first began talking about politics. Her mom, whom she adores and considers her best friend, is a lifelong registered independent. Yes, she votes Republican, but leans libertarian. She never really believed in either side's ability to get things done and didn't feel the two-party system was effective in representing all Americans. That's the value system Cooper was raised under—conservative values, but never really Republican, never loving the GOP.
Over the last decade, something changed. Trump and his coalition seemed different, disruptive. Cooper did many episodes in 2024 talking about why voters loved him—he was going to shake everything up and change it. It was genuinely unifying, hopeful, and joyful. People from across the political spectrum believed that this time it might actually be different. He was an outsider who could disrupt and change things.
While there's plenty now that's better than before—and Cooper is grateful they dodged an absolute nuke with Kamala—they're still playing the same game of ping-pong between political parties. That deep-rooted corruption that works against the American people regardless of creed, race, or background still exists. Cooper doesn't know if that will ever change. She's unsure whether they were wrong and Trump is actually part of that system, or whether he got in there and tried to fix it but learned the hard way that the game really is rigged even against people like him.
A Challenge to Republican Leaders
This is where Cooper has found herself, and it's an odd position because she has influence and wants to wield it well. She doesn't want to black pill and complain every day, but she also doesn't want to lie and avoid the reality that so many Americans are facing by trying to convince people that things are better than they are.
She returns to something she says all the time: the things we can control are right here at home. In her personal life, that's what she chooses to focus on—what brings her joy. She invests in that when she's not doing the show, and suggests others do the same. Invest in your family, the things that bring you joy, build community, and get involved in local politics, because at the end of the day that's what you're coming home to and what matters.
But the uncomfortable caveat is that this doesn't mean becoming apathetic and handing over power to the Handmaid's Tale cosplayers and wheelchair protesters who would probably celebrate conservative deaths and hate everything they stand for. The alternative is to invest in homes and families while also working toward something better. But we can't do that alone.
Cooper ends with a direct challenge: Republicans who are in government or running for office owe it to their voters to get their act together and give them something to show up for in November. Conservatives can't just be unified against something—they need something to fight for and believe in. Right now, Republican leaders are losing people every single day. It's not just a voter problem; it's a leadership problem. Show up and deliver. People want to believe in you—give them something to believe in.

All right. So, after doing all of those
episodes about the Trump administration
last week, I got the sense that some
people online might take that to mean
that I am moving towards the left. Like,
that was a comment that I saw,
especially on TikTok. And I just want to
be clear here when I say that yes, our
side has issues. I am more than willing
to talk about it. I think it's
incredibly important that we talk ABOUT
IT. BUT THE ALTERNATIVE to our side, or
I guess I should say my side and not be
presumptuous, but the alternative is
violent. It is deranged insanity that
rejects biology, wants to sterilize
children, and celebrates when somebody
like me gets shot. So, no, I'm sorry.
I'm not actually joining your team. And
I don't think I'm alone here at all. I
think there's a lot of us that are kind
of awkwardly sitting right here in the
middle. Like, you guys might have seen
that Trump currently has his lowest
approval rating, I think, in the
entirety of this second term right now.
But that doesn't mean that everyone who
voted for him suddenly loves Democrats
and is moving to the left. Like, no, I
don't really think that that is
happening on any broad scale. A great
example of this, in my opinion, is how
Abigail Spanberger, the new fake
moderate governor of Virginia, has the
lowest approval right now, 80 days into
her term, out of any Virginia governor
in the 21st century. And this is
important because voters in Virginia
were persuaded by her promises of unity
and common sense and going against the
LEFT AND THE RIGHT, BUT THEY ARE NOW
having to face the music since they have
realized that she is an absolute loony.
So, she also has a low approval rating.
And so I really feel that the most
eloquent way that I can describe the
situation that I found myself in is that
I am living in the Dwight TR Angela
meme.me like you know the one I'm
talking about where Dwight is just
standing there Angela comes up behind
him and scares him and he's like [ __ ]
LIKE THAT LIKE THAT IS ME. I am Dwight
and Angela are the Democrats. Just
because I'm criticizing my own party
does not mean that I want to join your
little coalition. It's not just that I
think that these people are crazy. It
it's that they actually kind of scare
me.
And yeah, we will get into that. So,
without further ado, let's check up on
the left. Now, before we do, make sure
that you like this video, subscribe to
the channel if you've not already, and
of course, if you want to stay up to
date on everything that we're doing here
on the Red Cooper Show, make sure to
ring that notification bell. And also,
for those of you guys who live in
Nashville or in the greater Middle
Tennessee area, I have a couple of shows
coming up again at Zanies. One is
actually this Wednesday night, and then
I have another one. I think it's May
19th, which is a Tuesday night. But all
of that will be on redcooper.com. So, if
you want to buy tickets and come hang
out, it is super fun. It's like a live
fun variety show and I would love to see
you all there. So again, tickets are at
brecooper.com. All right, so diving into
all of this today, there is actually a
tweet going viral right now which is I
feel like really important and relevant
for all of this discourse. It is from a
man named Nate Silver and it is about
our current ecosystem on the platform X
and how it has presumably grown to be
this right-wing echo chamber ever since
it was purchased by Elon. So he posted
this. This was 21 hours ago at this
time, so on Sunday. And he said, "These
are the Twitter/X accounts with the most
engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I
had some intuition for how bad it was,
but gez, this is what you get when the
ecosystem is broken." And so you can see
here the biggest accounts are Elon and
Eric Dohy and Gunther Eagleman, Libs of
Tik Tok, Maga Voice, Cat Turd, Laura
Loomer, Nick Sorder, Wall Street Apes,
Jackson Hle, Benny Johnson's up there,
the White House account. Let's see who
are some of the other big ones. Fox
News, Tim Burchett, love you Tim. Love
you, Tim. Tennessee, man after my own
heart, rapid response 47. Anyway, it is
all of these right-wing accounts. I feel
like I really didn't need to read off
all of those for you. You can see all
the big red bubbles and then the smaller
blue ones are all Democrats. Now, a
little disclaimer caveat here is that
there is a lot of disagreement in the
comment section of this post over
whether his numbers are correct. Some
right-wingers feel like their bubbles
should be bigger than other people's
bubbles. Other people are saying that he
didn't include, you know, the correct
numbers for people like Obama and AOC
and Bernie Sanders. But like the
overarching point stands that X has
become in fact dominated by the right.
Now that being said, I feel like I
personally did not need a graphic to
tell me that because I experienced that
every single day. I don't know about you
guys, but like I used to log on to X for
Twitter when it was Twitter and be
bombarded by both progressives and
conservatives and progressives and
conservatives going at it. And now, at
least on my timeline, I log on and it's
just the same people every single day
arguing over the same things. Like one
day it's Tucker, then it's Megan Kelly,
then it's Candace, then it's Aran. like
it's the same topic every single day.
And so then I was like, "All right,
well, let me go see what the left's
doing." So I download Blue Sky a few
months ago to see what's cracking, see
what insanity they're up to. And it is
similarly just boring and repetitive and
honestly feels very irrelevant because
barely anybody's on there. There's no
engagement. And it is also massively an
echo chamber. At least on X, we aren't
really getting kicked off anymore. And
there's some drama there to keep me
going. Like on Blue Sky, the biggest
drama that I can see is when you
accidentally slip up and offend some
disabled person. Like this for example,
it was a real interaction. This has been
going viral ironically on X this week.
But somebody said, "Audio books count as
reading. Audio books count as reading."
They repeat that a ton of times.
Somebody responds and says, "Yes, but
read also." And then that same person
responds and says, "Hey friendo." That's
like when you know it's going bad. Hey
friendo, some people can't read. I don't
think you meant to be ableist, but
that's how your statement comes off.
Smiley face. And then similarly,
somebody said, "A fascist exercise
today. Did you?" And then somebody
responds and says, "F no, because
regimented exercise is actually
fundamentally fascist itself."
Obviously, like this is what these
people are debating. And so I guess from
their point of view, signing up for
Jevity would make you a dictator, which
is all the more reason to do it. Now,
you would never invest money without
looking at the numbers first. You would
never sign a lease without reading the
terms. You would never post a take
online without doing the bare minimum
research. Well, honestly, some people
might, but all that being said, why are
we making health decisions with little
to no data about our bodies? My friends
over at Agevity solve that problem. They
address our health concerns by reviewing
over a 100 biomarkers. Not the usual 12
that your doctor speeds through while
one of his feet is already out the door.
No. A licensed photonist comes to your
house, draws your blood, and then your
care team reviews your results and
builds a plan around what your body
needs. Custom supplements and real
guidance. No guesswork. It is the same
energy as doing your homework before
forming an opinion. Except your health
is what is at stake. Go to
govity.com/bredcooper.
Use code Brett for 20% off to get
started. Again, that is g o ge vi
ti.com/bredcooper.
And while you are upgrading your
healthy, you can also upgrade your
firearms with silencer shop because
obviously shooting is great, but
shooting suppressed is way better. But
the problem is for a long time getting a
suppressor felt expensive and confusing
and it was buried under mountains of
government paperwork. And that is where
my friends over at Silencer Shop come
in. They have made the entire process so
simple. And right now it is actually
easier and more affordable than it has
ever been. And there is no longer a $200
tax stamp cost, which is one less
government tax on your rights. Love to
see it. Silencer Shop walks you through
everything. You choose your suppressor
online. You create your profile, sign a
couple forms, and then they handle all
of the other heavy lifting. No
confusion, just better shooting.
Silencer Shop has already helped
hundreds of thousands of Americans get
theirs fast and easy. And it's also
important to note that they don't just
stop there because Silencer Shop is
actively suing the federal government to
make it easier to own suppressors, short
barreled rifles, and other regulated
items because exercising your rights
should not come with government
overreach. Now, Alex and I personally
bought a few guns and suppressors
through Silencer Shop. It was such an
easy process, and shooting suppressed is
noticeably so different. We have better
control, less recoil. It's just a more
enjoyable shooting experience overall.
You guys are going to love it. So, if
you are ready to upgrade your shooting
experience, head on over to
silencershop.com/cooper
to get started. Again, that is
silencershop.com/cooper
because shooting suppressed just makes
you better. All right, now back to the
story for today. Like, my point in
bringing all of this up and bringing
Nate's graph into this is because
overarchingly, I agree with what he's
saying. Like that has been my personal
experience and I feel personally like
this is inoculated the right and it is
actually a net negative for us leading
up to the midterms because everyone's
focus is on each other instead of the
group that we are supposed to be united
against that actively hates us and
spends all day talking about how much
they hate us. And more importantly, I
think that a lot of people on the right
have no idea what the left is actually
up to. And if you are on the right, that
should actually scare you because a lot
has changed in the last 12 months. It's
like if you think that the left is still
the same fractured coalition that it was
post 2024, post Kamla, think again. And
I know that literally 10 months ago, I
was making fun of the 2025 no Kings
protest. I was calling them wimpy and
geriatric, which they were. They were
very wimpy. They were very geriatric.
But within 10 months or so, they got
their crap together. Like this is what
the most recent No Kings protest from 6
days ago looked like in Boston, for
example.
>> NO KINGS.
>> NO KINGS.
>> Like that is insane. And the crowds look
like that in New York City and
Washington DC and San Francisco. All
across the country, they looked like
that. And now you might be thinking,
"Okay, Brett, well, that's just Boston.
It's just San Francisco. It's New York.
They're always going to show up for
protest. They're always going to be
angry about something." All right. Well,
I understand. Let's look at Boise,
Idaho, for example, because this is what
their no king's protest looked like.
Here in Tennessee, we even had a huge
demonstration. We had the Handmaidaidens
marching through Nashville. And I just
have to say, as a little aside, isn't it
nice that we have this consistency? Like
we know that when the weather gets a
little warmer, leftwing women, they're
going to go into their closets. They're
going to pull out the red capes. They're
going to get on Google. They're going to
look for a protest to attend. They just
can't wait to PULL OUT THOSE DIY SIGNS.
THEY JUST WANT to cosplay the handmaiden
sale when April comes around. Like, we
know that we have that to look forward
to. Somebody commented and said they had
these left over from some other protests
and thought that they might as well.
Like, it doesn't matter what the protest
is, what the issue is, where it is,
there will be a not very attractive
woman in a handmmaid sale outfit. I can
guarantee that. Anyway, moving on from
that little aside, the point that I'm
trying to make here is that these people
are unified. The left is energized. They
are ramped up. They are excited for the
midterms, even if they don't really know
what they're supporting or what they're
actually fighting against.
>> May, why you out here?
>> Um, to protest and get a make a better
democracy. we get to make a statement
and they just silence us and they don't
get to do that.
>> You know, I was about to rag on these
parents and say, you know, if you're
going to drag your 13-year-old daughter
out to a protest, like, at least tell
her what you're protesting against. But
I don't THINK THE PARENTS KNOW
THEMSELVES. IT'S JUST CHAOS 247. All
they know is that they hate Republicans.
They hate the orange man. And they are
willing to come together over a hatred
of the current thing that he's doing
that they've been told is awful. And
honestly, love it or hate it, think it's
ridiculous or think it's smart. It is a
winning strategy because they are coming
together in numbers. They are unifying
while the right is becoming more and
more fractured by the day. So yeah, we
should actually be very afraid. And it's
not just because I think they're going
to show up in November and whoop our
asses, but it's because they're going to
show up and whoop our asses while
looking like this.
>> What does no kings protest mean?
>> You know, I think it means that the Dow
is over 50,000. So that's what we should
be paying attention to right now. Okay.
But really, we're sick and tired of this
administration and all the wrongs that
they're doing. It makes us sick. Most
American people feel the same way. We
need to take to the streets and do
something about it.
>> So guys, I know I already said that
Paula White is my sleep paralysis demon.
So unfortunately, that job is taken. But
what I will say is that this group of
people is my nightmare blunt rotation.
Somebody commented and said, "I'm
watching this no kings protest in
Atlanta against President Trump and his
administration right now, and I
genuinely can't tell if this is a
protest or the villain casting call for
a low-budget Marvel movie. Are these
Democrats, liberals, devil worshippers?
Is this REAL LIFE? YES, IT IS actually
real life. That is not an AI video.
Those are all real people. There were a
lot of AI videos, by the way, that came
out of the No Kings protest. And like
all of the boomeranga accounts were
posting them on Facebook. And it was so
ridiculous because you would see like
taxis disappearing into trees and people
just showing up mid-screen with like
seven fingers. Everybody was like, "Can
you believe the Democrats are DOING
THIS?" LIKE THAT DOESN'T HELP OUR CAUSE
AT all because this actually is real
life. And that woman who is in the far
right corner in the wheelchair is worse
than anyone could have expected. And
here she is in action.
So, I'm watching this video and the
first thing that actually came to mind
was the reaction of the Democrats that
are currently running for office that
want to be perceived as these common
sense moderate Democrats. We're not
extreme. We're not radical. We're just
normal. Meanwhile, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE
YOU HAVE OUT IN the streets representing
you. It's like Gavin Newsome is like,
"No, no, no. I'm supposed to be against
trans now." Meanwhile, this is happening
and his wife is out there saying bat
[ __ ] crazy things, but that's a topic
for another episode. Anyway, moving on.
I know that you guys probably looked at
that video and just saw mental illness,
but actually guys, actually, it's art
and you just don't get it. So, the woman
behind this act, which is called Doge
Walker, she is a performance artist
based in Atlanta who has been trying to
get this thing, this protest art up and
running since last year. In fact, back
in 2015, she even started a GoFundMe
page for it so that she could take it on
the road. She wrote, "My name is Jessica
Ala and Bill Korn and I am raising funds
to support both myself and the
nationwide presentation of Doge Walker,
a live performative protest rooted in
disabled, queer, and marginalized
identities. Doge Walker is punk rock
protest art. It is about reclaiming
agency about disabled and marginalized
people, taking back public space,
rewriting narratives, and creating
pathways towards justice, connection,
and healing. We hold space for people
who want to grow, who want to do better,
and who believe in collective
transformation. HOW ARE YOU HOLDING
SPACE WHEN you Sorry, I was going to
point out the obvious. I don't know how
she could hold space for anybody else,
but maybe that's just a step too far.
Anyway, I personally read all of that
and I still don't understand how any of
those things connect with this.
Like, welcome to modern Democrats
apparently. Like, honey, you and your
fake little Trump dog are taking up the
sidewalk and scaring children. and you
were not creating pathways for anything,
let alone healing. Anyway, all that
aside, she went viral after the most
recent Atlanta No Kings protest. And
even though she said that her skin was
thicker than brick, she did seem to have
an issue with people calling her a quote
unquote welfare warrior online. Just
take a listen.
>> I'm pretty self-deprecating myself, but
referring to me as a welfare warrior is
just
offensive on so many levels.
>> Oh, interesting. I I actually think that
it might have been offensive because
actually that statement might have hit
close to home. Just watch
>> one. Um I received very little
government assistance. In fact, I
received Medicaid Medicare which helps
for my medical costs which you know
actually last time I totaled them up
were about 330
360,000 a year if you include my nursing
care, my wheelchair.
>> That is not where I thought this video
was going to go. Like at every point I
was like, "Okay, she's going to say, you
know, she's not on any government
assistance. you know, $5,000 a year,
whatever it is. She's like, "I don't get
much. I mean, honestly, my bills ARE
ONLY $330,000
a year." $300,000. I mean, YOU THINK
THAT THAT'S NOT VERY MUCH. What are your
friends getting? Like, like, that is
where my mind goes now. But anyway, I'm
bringing all this up. Number one,
because I was pissed that I didn't do an
episode on it last week. And number two,
because I think that this individual is
an incredible personification of the
left. Like, I saw somebody comment and
say that she is entitled, subsidized,
and performative. And that really sums
it up well. And it also sums up that
entire side of the political aisle. And
in my opinion, the best part of that
story, like all shock value aside, and
all the discourse was that she claims in
all of her videos that people were
attacking her because she's disabled,
because she's in a wheelchair, because
of how she looks. Like, no, we are
genuinely just concerned and a little
confused about how rolling around masked
up with your tits out is doing anything
to save democracy. Anyway, all that to
say, I am showing you guys this because
that is still what we are up against. We
are still up against people like that.
We are still up against people who
cheered when Charlie Kirk was shot. We
are still up against people who want to
sterilize minors. So, do not be fooled
by the promises of these fake moderate
candidates like Abigail Spanberger. Do
not feed into the Democrats who are
suddenly thinking that tax cuts are a
great idea when they literally did
everything in their power less than a
year ago to stop Doge and reverse
everything that Elon Musk accomplished.
And yes, look, this is just from
yesterday. Tax cuts are the hot new idea
from Democrats. Like, great. Thank you.
I do not trust you in the slightest. Do
not let Gavin Newsome and his slick back
gelled hair make you forget what
happened to California under his watch.
And I really do mean it. I believe all
of this. But I also want to give the
caveat and say that I would be lying if
I said that all of this like really
PUMPED ME UP AND GOT me excited because
I look at all of this insanity. I look
at the people that the Democrats are
putting into office that they want to
run and I hate it. But then I think what
is our alternative? Because like it or
not, I am still on the political right.
My values have not changed. My hope for
the future, the future of our country
has not changed compared to November of
2024 or 2 years ago. I feel a lot less
confident in conservatives or honestly
anyone being able to pull off that
vision or represent my values. And I
think a lot of people are stuck here in
this exact position. And funnily enough,
I feel like this is actually very full
circle because this is really where I
started when I started talking about
politics. Like my mom, who you guys know
I just adore. She's my best friend. She
is a lifelong registered independent.
Yes, she would, you know, vote
Republican, but she leans more
libertarian. She never really believed
in either side's ability to get things
done. She didn't really feel like the
two-party system was effective in
representing all Americans. Like that is
the value system that I was raised
under. Like we had conservative values,
but we were never Republicans. We never
like loved the GOP. But over the last
decade, obviously something changed.
Like Trump and his coalition, it seemed
different. It seemed disruptive, which I
remember doing so many episodes in 2024
talking about how this is why voters
loved him. This is why we were so
gung-ho. We wanted to get him in office
because it was different. He was going
to shake everything up and change it.
was genuinely unifying and hopeful and
so joyful. But I think that people
genuinely believed like from all across
the political spectrum, they believed
that this time it might actually be
different. This is an outsider. He could
disrupt. He could change things. And
while there is plenty now that is better
than before and I think that we dodged
an absolute nuke with Kamla, so thank
God for that. We still are playing the
same gang of pingpong between the
political parties. Like that deeprooted
corruption that works against the
American people regardless of your
creed, your race, your background. It
still exists. And I don't know if that
ever will change. And whether we were
wrong and actually Trump is part of that
system or whether he got in there and
tried to fix it but learned the hard way
that the game really is just rigged even
against people like him, I have no idea.
And so either way, all of this to say,
this is where I have found myself. And
it's kind of an odd position to be in in
my opinion because I have influence. I
know that. And I want to wield it well.
I don't want to black pill and just
complain every day. But I also don't
want to lie and avoid the reality that
so many Americans are facing and try to
convince you that things are better than
they are because I don't feel that way.
And so I guess I'll just go back to
this, which is something that I say all
the time and you guys might be tired of
it, but it's real. Like the things that
we can control are right here at home.
And in my personal life, that's what I
choose to focus on. That's what brings
me joy. So that is what I invest in when
I'm not doing the show. And I would
suggest that you do the same as well.
invest in your family and the things
that bring you joy and build community
and get involved in local politics
because honestly at the end of the day
that is really what you're coming home
to and that is what matters. But the
uncomfortable caveat here and this is
something that I talked about last week
is that that also doesn't mean that we
just become apathetic that we hand over
power to the handmaidadens and the
wheelchair Mad Maxes who would probably
celebrate our death and hate everything
that we stand for. And so the
alternative, yes, is to invest in our
homes and our families, but also to work
towards something better. But we can't
just do that alone. And so on that note,
and I will end the episode with this.
Republicans who are in government or who
are running for office, I'm sorry, but
you owe it to your voters to get your
crap together and give us something to
show up for in November. We cannot just
be unified against something else. Give
us something to fight for and believe in
because right now you're losing people.
You are losing people every single day.
And it's not just an us problem. It's
honestly a you problem. So show up and
deliver. We want to believe in you. Give
us something to believe in.
What's up, guys? Hello. Welcome back to
Providential. Let's go give some cows a
pedicure.
