Candace Owens Defends Charlie Kirk's Legacy Against Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson Friendship Claims

[00:05] blades when convenient for him. Tucker

[00:07] Carlson is in short a terrible friend.

[00:10] Tucker Carlson was supposedly Charlie

[00:11] Kirk's friend. Charlie believed that

[00:13] Nick Fuentes was vermin. That's a direct

[00:15] quote. He believed that because Nick

[00:17] Fuentes dedicated his life to destroying

[00:19] Charlie Kirk and TPUSA from the inside.

[00:22] So, first and foremost, the idea that in

[00:25] order for you to show that you're a good

[00:28] friend of somebody, you have to agree

[00:29] not to host people on your platform from

[00:32] conversations is is just so anti-Ch

[00:34] Charlie, it's unbelievable. And it is

[00:36] simply a fact, which I feel comfortable

[00:39] sharing now, that Charlie and Ben

[00:40] Shapiro did not get along uh because

[00:43] Charlie found out that Ben was operating

[00:45] behind the scenes to uh stop him and

[00:48] sort of hinder the growth of Turning

[00:49] Point USA in our early days. And I have

[00:52] only about 80 to 150 text messages from

[00:56] Charlie to that effect. This is not a

[00:58] debate, by the way. This is a fact. So,

[00:59] challenge me to share the messages. I I

[01:01] will gladly. Ben was in part upset

[01:04] because I made a joke about him when I

[01:06] appeared on Joe Rogan back in 2018. I

[01:10] know these types in school. Like, I was

[01:11] in their classes, you know, like they're

[01:12] just like

[01:13] >> you're like late to school or like the

[01:15] last person you want to see is like the

[01:16] hall monitor. like you know like the

[01:19] idea like [laughter]

[01:20] >> that you would be late right

[01:22] >> like he's writing you a pink slip it's

[01:24] like Ben just give me the pink slip dude

[01:25] like you know like [laughter] that just

[01:27] give it to me Ben all right like

[01:29] >> light-hearted joke obviously the story

[01:31] goes Charlie stuck with me despite Ben's

[01:33] urging we kept climbing we reached a

[01:34] point where as a team Charlie and I were

[01:36] suddenly undeniable Charlie's

[01:38] perspective was just laugh and move on

[01:41] we get the invite to be on Ben Shapiro

[01:43] show and I'm like no f that he was so

[01:45] awful to us and Charlie's like, "No,

[01:47] it's great. Let's do it because we won."

[01:49] Okay, we won, Candace. And I'm like,

[01:51] "Okay, fine." We get to the location. I

[01:53] think it was in Sherman Oaks,

[01:54] California. And Charlie says to me,

[01:56] we're in the green green room. Hey, will

[01:59] we take a photo with him? I'm going to

[02:00] puff my chest out and stand extra tall.

[02:03] So, we never forget this moment of us

[02:05] having triumphed over Ben Shapiro. And

[02:08] he actually does it. And it was

[02:10] completely hilarious. And this is

[02:11] actually the photo from that. Charlie

[02:14] did that totally on purpose. It was such

[02:16] a Charlie Kirk thing to do and it became

[02:18] like our perfect inside joke every time

[02:20] we felt like he was kind of saying

[02:22] little things about us and that was

[02:24] Charlie. That was just the spirit of

[02:25] Charlie and we he moved on from it. He

[02:27] was always cordial uh beyond that. He

[02:29] never felt any nastiness. The point of

[02:32] me sharing this though is to make it

[02:33] very clear uh that Charlie loved Tucker.

[02:37] Charlie was not in love with Ben

[02:39] Shapiro. He didn't hate Ben Shapiro. He

[02:41] just, I would say, experienced Ben

[02:44] Shapiro. Despite this, he always, as I

[02:46] said, kept it cordial because that's who

[02:48] he was as a person. But what I will not

[02:50] allow is this absolute inversion of

[02:52] reality where Ben Shapiro becomes any

[02:54] sort of voice on who is and who is not

[02:56] betraying their friendship with Charlie.

[02:58] I will not allow it.
